[0:00]There was a group of adults who were taking a computer science course at a community college.
[0:05]And after a few weeks of classes, the professor decided to have some fun one day as a little learning activity.
[0:12]And he divided them by sex and he put the men on one side of the room, women on the other side ofthe room.
[0:16]He said, I want you all to do a project for the next 10 minutes and I want to determine what gender computers ought to be.
[0:22]and so they deliberated so finally here come the men they have voted they voted unanimously that
[0:29]computers should be referred to in the feminine gender and so the professor said all right share
[0:34]with me your points they had four points they said the reason why computers should
[0:38]be spoken of in the female gender is because no one but their creator understands their
[0:43]internal logic the second reason is because when computers communicate with each other
[0:53]They speak in code language that only they and experts can understand.
[0:59]The third reason is because every mistake you make
[1:03]is stored on their hard drive for later retrieval.
[1:10]The fourth reason, these men said,
[1:13]because as soon as you commit to one,
[1:16]you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessorizing it.
[1:19]Now, but oh, don't laugh too hard
[1:23]because the women had the last word on this subject.
[1:27]the women voted unanimously computers must be in the masculine gender why as they gave their report
[1:35]they said first of all in order to get their attention you have to turn them on
[1:39]secondly they have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves
[1:50]thirdly they're supposed to help you solve problems but half the time they are the problem
[2:02]and the final reason they gave was
[2:06]because as soon as you commit to one
[2:09]you realize that if you'd waited a little longer
[2:11]you could have gotten a better model
