• Actively worked to prevent victim notification during NPA. OPR interviews: Starr wrote letters to bypass prosecutors and complained about victim attorney contact (EFTA00009116)
• U.S. Attorney Acosta was a former Kirkland & Ellis associate, Starr's firm. Acosta later sought employment at Kirkland while the case was active, recusing only in Dec 2008 (EFTA00009229)
