Present on July 31, 2007 when the U.S. Attorney's office offered Jeffrey Epstein a plea requiring a minimum of two years' incarceration, and still exchanging emails about preparing for indictment in late May 2008 - nine months after the non-prosecution agreement had been signed. The decision to resolve the case without a federal charge was announced to him; he did not make it.
