Associate

Paris-based art gallery owner and long-running personal contact of Jeffrey Epstein, in his circle from at least January 1999 to February 2014. Flew on his aircraft at least 12 times between April 1999 and January 2002, on 11 of those legs alongside Ghislaine Maxwell, and on one May 2000 leg alongside Andrew Windsor. Her commercial airline tickets were billed to Jeffrey Epstein's account at Shoppers Travel, Inc. on 11 separate invoices between 1999 and 2002. She is the recurring 'AW' in the pilot logbooks. Both David Rodgers and Ghislaine Maxwell were questioned about her under oath: Rodgers said he did not know what her relationship to Jeffrey Epstein was, and Maxwell's counsel instructed her not to answer when asked which Epstein properties she had seen Wallaert at. Her surviving 2009 to 2014 emails show Jeffrey Epstein offering her paid work, her passing him assessments of other women, and his assistant Lesley Groff scheduling his visits to her in Paris.

Key Findings

  • Flight logs: 12 legs on N908JE and N909JE between 25 Apr 1999 and 6 Jan 2002. Ghislaine Maxwell is a co-passenger on 11 of them; other recurring co-passengers are Sarah Kellen, Cindy Lopez, Banu Kucukkoylu, Ed Tuttle and the Dubin family. On 12 May 2000 (TEB to PBI) she flew with Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, Emmy Tayler and Andrew Windsor.
  • Pilot David Rodgers deposition (Giuffre v. Maxwell, Exhibit NN, Case 18-2868 Document 286, pp.116-118): Rodgers confirms the repeated 'AW' entries are her, 'there's no room to write her name out there, so she's AW.' Asked what relationship, if any, she had with Jeffrey Epstein, he answered 'No. No.'
  • Ghislaine Maxwell deposition (DE 340-4, pp.187-189): the property questioning was cut off at exactly her name. David Boies asked 'Alexia Wallaert, what Epstein properties did you see her at?' and Maxwell's counsel Pagliuca broke in, 'I will now tell you not to answer these questions anymore.' The question was never answered.
  • Shoppers Travel, Inc. accrual ledger, billed to Jeffrey Epstein: 11 distinct commercial-ticket invoices in her name totalling roughly USD 6,350, from 8 Jan 1999 through 1 Mar 2002 (DOJ-OGR-00015297, DOJ-OGR-00015298, DOJ-OGR-00015299, DOJ-OGR-00015300, DOJ-OGR-00015308, DOJ-OGR-00015309). Her invoices sit on the same ledger pages as those for Sarah Kellen, Darren Indyke, Adam Perry Lang and the pilots Rodgers and Visoski.
  • FedEx: Jeffrey Epstein and J. Epstein & Co, 457 Madison Avenue, shipped to her by international priority (EFTA00219222, EFTA00219544, DOJ-OGR-00015341). Airbills on the same account carry a 'WALLAERT' delivery signature (EFTA00217873, EFTA00217965, EFTA00219511, EFTA01313226).
  • Address books: listed as 'Wallaert, Alexia' with both a Manhattan and a Paris entry in Jeffrey Epstein's contact books (EFTA00191467, black book exhibit request_8_exhibit_10_part_2.pdf p.38, House Oversight 'C. Contact Book_Redacted_0.pdf', and the estate seventh production).
  • EFTA01780782 (15 May 2009): she writes to Jeffrey Epstein describing depression and asks 'Would you have a little job for me that I could do like a mission until the end of June so that I could earn a little money?' He replies that he loved the photos she sent and 'I have many things for you to do to earn money that would also be a great help to me.'
  • EFTA01780214 (30 Jun 2009): she sends Jeffrey Epstein her assessment of another named woman's looks, 'not very elegant, she is cute thought,' and adds 'I keep searching anyway.'
  • EFTA00737492 (6 Aug 2010): she apologises that her husband read their correspondence and 'had a feeling of betrayal,' says she has 'always wished to introduce' him to Jeffrey Epstein, and reflects that 'perhaps also I incounsciously wanted to retain a part of my youth.'
  • EFTA02114865 and EFTA02114958 (Jan and Feb 2014): Lesley Groff, writing as 'Assistant to Jeffrey Epstein,' arranges appointments for Jeffrey Epstein to see her during his Paris trips and offers to have him drop by the art gallery where she works.
