Hidden cameras, recordings, and evidence of blackmail operations.
On March 7, 2024, Jeanne M. Christensen of Wigdor LLP (a major victims’ rights firm) wrote to SDNY prosecutors with explosive information (EFTA02731515):
"I strongly believe that there is at least one video circulating on some disgusting sex site with [victim] in it."
The victim "was videotaped at a hotel" during a sex trafficking incident involving 6 men, of whom she was forced to have sex with 3. Christensen states:
"I know the names of at least two of the men who she had to have sex with during this incident — there were 6 men there and she had to be with 3 of them. One of them is a former friend of Leon Black’s and both men likely knew JE."
The victim was later contacted "randomly" by someone while playing an online game who told her he had seen a video of "one girl having sex with 3 men in a row" and said it looked like her. Christensen has a screenshot from this interaction.
The letter also references contemporaneous journals from the victim with content about Epstein and Maxwell, and mentions this is "Year 19" of the victim’s case — suggesting abuse dating back to approximately 2005.
If this video exists and can be located, it would constitute direct evidence of sex trafficking and could identify additional perpetrators. The two named men — including a former friend of Leon Black — are potential targets for prosecution.
A 97-page master photo index (EFTA00005284) catalogs the digital media seized from Epstein’s properties. The index reveals the scope and nature of Epstein’s photo archive:
12 pages are stamped "CSAM NOT SCANNED" — meaning law enforcement identified child sexual abuse material but did not digitize those pages for the release. These pages are interspersed throughout the index (EFTA00005284, EFTA00005284, EFTA00005284, EFTA00005284, and others).
Multiple folders document Clinton’s travel with Epstein:
The archive spans multiple CDs and hard drives seized from Epstein’s properties, with folders organized by trip, person, and location. The 12 CSAM pages confirm the existence of child exploitation material in Epstein’s possession.
An undated letter from Epstein to "Les" (Leslie Wexner) reveals Epstein invoking their shared secrets after Wexner cut ties:
"You and I had 'gang stuff' for over 15 years. A great deal of it, that she was unaware of. I had no intention of divulging any confidence of ours, no matter what accusations she made."
The letter references a woman who "tried to extort Ehud Barak, Alan Dershowitz and Prince Andrew" — clearly Virginia Giuffre — and states Epstein would "never under any circumstances give it up, or put you in harm's way." The tone is simultaneously loyal and threatening, reminding Wexner of shared confidences while positioning himself as a protector.
Four near-identical draft notes from July 2015 (EFTA00645002, EFTA00653278, EFTA00716143, EFTA00631928) appear to be preparation notes for a confrontation with Wexner. They contain the phrase:
"34 girls wexner"
This number — 34 — matches exactly the number of confirmed minor victims documented in the 2007 Non-Prosecution Agreement. The notes also contain what appear to be leverage points: "suicide, randy, jack kessler, stanley, bankrupt, sales tax, ohio, cigars, trusts charity" — a catalog of Wexner's vulnerabilities.
Other names in the notes include Leon (Black), Darren (Indyke), Martin (Nowak), Joi (Ito), Summers, Dershowitz ("dershoqit"), Jean-Luc (Brunel), Jarecki, Glenn (Dubin), Chomsky, and Guy Lewis. A reference to "morroco, 40 m. leon plane" suggests Morocco trips on Leon Black's aircraft. The notes were iteratively edited over July 24-31, 2015, with Epstein refining his confrontation strategy.
EFTA00090314 is an FBI FD-1023 Confidential Human Source (CHS) reporting document from October 2020. It contains explosive intelligence claims:

An October 2019 FBI interview with the Palm Beach Police Chief (EFTA01249718) documents five statements Trump made to police during the original investigation:
The same interview reveals Alexander Acosta told police "there was a lot of interest from higher up" and "there was a hurry to make this case go away". PBPD surveillance observed "prepubescent [children] with braces and backpacks coming from school" entering Epstein's house.
In a May 30, 2011 email (EFTA00911738), Epstein wrote to Henry Jarecki in a bitter personal email:
"I have stood by as friend family, girlfriend, business partners, charity companions have, all attacked your pecuniary ways [...] I have been your guarantor, in our more intimate arrangements [...] I would never do business with you, as to a person, everyone has complained about the niggardly, cheap, self concerned results."
The phrase "guarantor in our more intimate arrangements" — combined with Epstein's separate accusation that Jarecki "tortures" girls (EFTA01854125) and evidence that women were sent "from Henry" to Epstein's house (EFTA00754507) — strongly suggests Epstein was facilitating Jarecki's access to women and providing some form of guarantee or cover for these encounters.
Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard (1991–2023), appears in 288 documents showing direct social relationship with Epstein including dinner at the 71st Street townhouse.
EFTA00948241: Epstein emails Brock Pierce (crypto investor, then in Kiev): “not sure yet, had bobby kotick here for dinner last night, heard lots about the future.”
Pierce responds: “Interesting. He went out with a friend of mine after. What’d you learn?”
Epstein: “girl or guy” — immediately asking about the gender of who Kotick went out with. This is consistent with Epstein’s pattern of tracking the sexual activities and preferences of his social contacts — intelligence gathering that could be used for leverage.
Kotick arrived from Westchester for overnight visits at Epstein’s townhouse. His dinner (Nov 17) was followed the next day by dinner with Leon Botstein (Bard College president). The Brock Pierce connection is notable: Pierce was based in Kiev and Barcelona, connected to Eastern European networks.
Epstein's New York State Sex Offender Registry entry, captured June 28, 2019 — two weeks before his arrest — lists his registered internet and communication services (EFTA00014438). Among 13 providers, two stand out:
Both apps are specifically designed to leave no recoverable records. Confide in particular was marketed for executives who wanted conversations to vanish — its use by a Level 3 sex offender with a documented pattern of evidence destruction is significant.
The full registry also reveals Epstein's operational infrastructure as of mid-2019: 36 registered vehicles (nearly all black Suburbans and Escalades), addresses across six jurisdictions (New York, Palm Beach, St. Thomas USVI, Stanley NM, and two in France), a 2001 Gulfstream aircraft, and internet services spanning Virgin Islands Telephone, CenturyLink, Verizon, AT&T, Comcast, Time Warner/Spectrum, and two French ISPs (Free Telecom, Orange Telecom). His Twitter handle was @JEFFREYEPSTEIN.
Combined with the burner phone tracking and computer wiping findings, this shows a systematic anti-forensic communications strategy: encrypted messaging apps that auto-delete, staff trained to detect surveillance, and routine destruction of digital evidence.
The Palm Beach Police Department incident report (EFTA00007157) documents the search of 358 El Brillo Way. Detective Joseph Recarey located two covert (hidden) cameras:
However, in deposition testimony (EFTA00298214), Detective Recarey admitted under cross-examination:
The FBI CID summary (EFTA00038617) states: "contrary to some news reports, these searches did not reveal any cameras in any of the bedrooms or massage rooms." But the searches never covered those rooms.
Meanwhile, a 2021 FBI intake (EFTA00099817) records a victim who stated: "Epstein had cameras in all his buildings." Epstein told her he "saw her on TV last night" — which she interpreted as surveillance footage.
Under use immunity in July 2025, Maxwell gave ~7 hours of proffer testimony to DAG Todd Blanche and FBI ASAC Spencer Horn. 136 findings in the EFTA corpus directly contradict her claims across 10 categories:
Internal contradictions: Claims to be "general manager" but missed abuse occurring "three times a day." Admits recruiting masseuses and "never checking their age" but insists she thought all were adults. Calls Andrew photo "fake" but recognizes her own outfit in it from that weekend. Claims 50K salary while FBI documents show 1M in transfers.
A 5-page document titled "PEOPLE LIST" with the subtitle "Cell # (unless otherwise stated) and Personal Email (unless otherwise stated)" catalogues Epstein's inner circle with their personal cell phone numbers and private email addresses.
The list includes convicted sex trafficker Jean-Luc Brunel, convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein, Prince Andrew (Duke of York), and dozens of other power brokers across finance, politics, science, and entertainment. Notable names include:
The inclusion of personal cell numbers (rather than office numbers) indicates these were not casual business contacts but people with whom Epstein had direct, personal access. Several individuals on this list later invoked the Fifth Amendment in connection with Epstein (Tommy Mottola), were convicted of sex crimes (Brunel, Weinstein), or were named by victims in testimony.
A near-identical copy exists as EFTA00728783.
The forensically-verified victim diary contains specific accusations against Ted Leonsis (AOL executive, owner of Monumental Sports (Wizards, Capitals)): "Why would they all allow Mr. Leonsis wait this long? Why would he bring a friend and make a video?" The entry continues describing a painful medical procedure and states "Mr. Rails and Mr. Ein [have] blood on their hands but so does Jeffrey and Mr. Jacobson. Mr. Conway. Mr. vradenberg and Bill s."
A VHS tape inventory from an Epstein property lists: "Cherry Poppers Crash Course Volume 9" and "Cherry Poppers #15 Mischievous Maidens" among other adult titles including "How to Give Pleasure to a Woman by a Woman."
"Cherry Poppers" is a well-known adult video series themed around virginity/first sexual experiences with very young-looking performers. Its presence at an Epstein property, alongside documented evidence of schoolgirl uniforms and underage victims, is consistent with Epstein's known sexual preferences.
An FBI Special Agent's sworn affidavit (EFTA00222943) confirms:
"I believe that certain items were purposely removed from Mr. Epstein's home in anticipation of an execution of a search warrant. This includes the three computers."
The FBI documented the chain of custody: property manager Janusz Banasiak stated a woman and private investigator Paul Lavery came and removed the computers. Lavery delivered them to William Riley of the Riley Kiraly investigation firm in Miami. Riley refused to say whether he still had them.
A separate Palm Beach Police detective affidavit (EFTA00222970) confirms the detective had personally observed Epstein's "pre-existing security system, which included the automatic downloading of the images from the pre-existing security cameras onto a personal computer" — but when the search warrant was executed: "computer monitors, printers, and other peripheral devices were present but the computers themselves were removed."
The FBI affidavit also documents abuse at Zorro Ranch, New Mexico: an artist's younger sister (age redacted, described as a minor) was taken to Epstein's New Mexico home where "Mr. Epstein touched [her] inappropriately and asked her to touch him while he was nude."
Rodriguez explicitly identifies the power hierarchy: "Leslie Wexner, he was Jeffrey Epstein's boss. He owns a limited Victoria's Secret." He describes Wexner's properties in Colorado, London, Georgia, Columbus and notes Epstein called them "every day... Very powerful people."
On George Mitchell: "Senator George Mitchell, okay, every day he's donated" — suggesting Mitchell was a regular visitor/donor to Epstein.
Most critically, Rodriguez reveals he withheld names from his formal video deposition: "this is the people that I couldn't say in front of the camera" — meaning his official testimony to Brad Edwards was deliberately incomplete. The names he only provided in this secret meeting include Leon Black, Alan Dershowitz, and George Mitchell.
In Epstein's own words to a New York Times reporter, he directly accused David Boies of attempted blackmail against Les Wexner — the billionaire L Brands founder who had given Epstein his 9 East 71st Street townhouse and power of attorney:
"boies was going to blackmail wexner"
This is not a third-party allegation — this is Epstein himself telling a reporter that his own lawyer was attempting extortion against one of the wealthiest men in America.
The forensically verified victim diary (EFTA02731465) contains one of the most explosive single allegations in the entire EFTA corpus:
"I think I'm going to break! Why would they all allow Mr. Leonsis wait this long? Why would he bring a friend and make a video? I am so broken and the procedure was so painful and blood all over the sheets. I cant play this 'game' anymore."
This entry alleges that Ted Leonsis — AOL executive and owner of the Washington Capitals, Wizards, and Commanders — brought another person and recorded video of abuse. The reference to a "procedure" that was "so painful" with "blood all over the sheets" is consistent with the forced medical procedures (likely abortion) documented elsewhere in the diary.
The passage continues with additional names: "Mr. Rails and Mr. Ein [have] blood on their hands but so does Jeffrey and Mr. Jacobson. Mr. Conway Mr. Vradenberg and Bill s."
Only 5 documents in the entire EFTA corpus mention Leonsis — suggesting the relationship was kept deliberately off the written record, or contact was maintained through intermediaries. This is consistent with the pattern seen in other DC power figures involved in the network.
An email from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell (EFTA00577409) compares an unnamed person to Joe Robert:
"meet him, he's interesting, very much like joe roberts... boring, rich, hick, remember he is the one who was blackmailed by the gir in p.b., from donad trumps party"
This email reveals multiple critical facts:
Combined with the attorney email confirming Roberts' McLean mansion as a trafficking pipeline location and the victim diary describing recruitment at his house, this email establishes that Epstein and Maxwell were fully aware of Roberts' involvement and the associated blackmail risks.
"BLACK FRAMED PHOTO OF NUDE GIRL" — displayed in the residence
The inventory also includes a Florida statute reference "PIMP 05.972(1)" associated with collected micro cassettes — Florida's pimping/pandering statute applied to audio evidence. This corroborates the FBI finding that the Palm Beach investigation had active sex trafficking charges.
The 2015 Joinder Motion (SDFL) contains sworn allegations: "Epstein also trafficked Jane Doe #3 for sexual purposes to many other powerful men, including numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known Prime Minister, and other world leaders." The filing states Epstein's purpose in "lending" victims was "to ingratiate himself with them for business, personal, political, and financial gain, as well as to obtain potential blackmail information." Alan Dershowitz is specifically alleged to have "helped negotiate an agreement with a provision that provided protection for himself against criminal prosecution."
A victim's attorney reported that video of trafficking abuse involving the victim was circulating on a "disgusting sex site" as recently as 2024 (EFTA02731515). The attorney states a Leon Black associate was involved. This means the surveillance footage from Epstein's properties — which victims, staff, and investigators all confirmed existed — was not merely blackmail material but is now being distributed as CSAM. VHS tapes from the 2006 raid were 6 hours each at extended play (EFTA00021759). Three mini-VHS tapes were classified under Protective Order for the Maxwell trial.
13min 57secs — "sex video with minor"
"Madam G" almost certainly refers to Ghislaine Maxwell. The sender demanded 1 bitcoin within 6 hours to a specified wallet address, with delivery by overnight courier. Whether genuine evidence or extortion attempt, this demonstrates the widespread belief — consistent with confirmed OPR findings about hidden cameras — that Epstein recorded sexual encounters, including with minors.
A second Epstein email provides even more detail about the blackmail scheme, naming both the target (Les Wexner) and a witness (Leon Black) who was aware:
"his whole case was about les wexner. and boiese trying to blackmail him...leon black was horrified"
This email establishes: (1) Boies' legal activities were allegedly a pretext for blackmail; (2) Leon Black — himself later investigated by SDNY for sex trafficking — was aware of and "horrified" by the scheme; (3) The target was Wexner, who had the deepest financial entanglement with Epstein of anyone in his network.
Same victim's trafficking intake questionnaire: "I was raped by Jeffery Epstein. Multiple times. He was threatening to kill and harm other children if I didn't do what he said. He had video cameras he said, and if I didn't do what he said they would see that I caused the other children to get hurt. Then I would be put in jail."
Also: "I was born into sex trafficking...I was forced by threat of being killed, bodily harm, and threats of harming other children if I did not have sex with them and any other people that they sold me to."
At USVI: "I was 17 years old...blindfolded and taken to an underground location. It had steps that went down. I was raped by Jeffery Epstein, there were other men that raped me. I was kept in a stall so that men could look at me."
Oct 2015: Staley forwarded to Epstein a Daily Mail article: "Andrew's billionaire paedophile friend...secretly backed new Barclays boss for job." Barclays PR: "A good result." Separately, Times reported Epstein leaked emails to Parliament to blackmail it into accepting Staley as Barclays CEO.
A 28-page prosecution memorandum for Ghislaine Maxwell's superseding indictment reveals that a victim was shown a photograph of Harvey Weinstein and "identified him as the chunky, bald man" who paid her for sex during a massage at Epstein's Palm Beach residence. The same victim stated that she believed "Epstein had cameras in his clocks." The memo details how Maxwell scheduled appointments for minors from New York.
A July 2019 search warrant application describes dozens of compact discs found in a safe at 9 East 71st Street. Discs were labeled with handwritten titles including "Young [redacted] + [redacted]", "Misc. Nudes", "Girl Pics Nude", and "Nudes 00-24". Location codes include "Zorro" (New Mexico ranch) and "LSJ" (Little Saint James). The majority contained titles with female names.
December 2015 email from David Stern to Epstein regarding a security business in Beijing: "One of the wealthiest (but not high profile) Chinese from Beijing has asked me to do it with him. He will fund it... Kidnappings and blackmail have become a huge problem recently. New anti-corruption means you can't trust permanent local security because they see/know too much."
Roberts describes giving Simpsons creator Matt Groening a foot massage on Epstein's private plane. She states his feet were "yellow and crusty" and that he drew her a Simpsons character on a napkin. This allegation was previously referenced in court filings but the memoir provides the most detailed account. Roberts also describes Epstein explicitly confirming that his surveillance system was used for blackmail: "I know everything about everybody... That's what happens when you tape everyone."
Rodriguez describes systematic evidence destruction. On Maxwell's office computer — the one containing images of minors from Brazil and Colombia — he says it was "irradiated with water" (destroyed). Separately, he states: "before the FBI came to the house, they took his hard drive" — indicating someone removed Epstein's hard drive before the FBI search.
He names Tim Newcomb as the Citrix systems programmer who maintained all computers, and suggests subpoenaing him: "even if you erase them... there's somewhere in the memory you can retrieve."
Explosive text messages between Steve Bannon and Epstein (August 23, 2018) reveal: "Your girlfriend Ruemmler is coming over" and later "your girlfriend is outraged. I suggested to her he pardon everyone, say this is not good for the country, and then fake the heart attack." The texts also discuss 24/7 surveillance on Epstein, Trump payoffs, and Pecker immunity.
Bannon texts Epstein (August 23, 2018): "Btw Im in New York tonite thru sat, if you want to visit under the cover of darkness or breakfast tomorrow if you like" and "Do u have access that's not the front door-- they have 24/7 surveillance on u". Epstein responds: "I don't like he regency as it is totally wired" and offers a rear entrance.
April 2009 email from Epstein to an associate in China:
"where are you? are you ok, I loved the torture video"
Extremely disturbing statement about enjoying video content depicting torture.
"Photo of Epstein and two other unidentified males sitting at a table, and underneath the table is a woman on all fours, with her buttocks pointing upwards"
"Depicts a female naked from waist down in front of a desk with an J. Epstein notepad"
"Epstein with an adult female standing next to him topless"
This FBI inventory reveals: (1) Photos showing Epstein with "age difficult" females where agents couldn't confirm legal age; (2) Evidence of group sexual activity with "two other unidentified males"; (3) Staged photos with Epstein branding (notepad).
FBI interview of the MCC camera technician (EFTA00064309):
"Only one hard drive of the camera system was working at the time of the incident on August 10, 2019. When a DVR went bad, none of the cameras recorded."
The FBI presentation (EFTA00164480) details the systematic failures:
OIG surveillance analysis confirmed: "The FBI identified that only one of the cameras located within the MCC New York SHU was recording... The video footage was of low quality."
Epstein explained Boies' financial motivation for the blackmail scheme — Boies had lost a major legal fee and was seeking alternative income:
"MONEY!!!! he lost the fee for hank greenburg"
This refers to the Hank Greenberg / AIG case, where Boies represented Greenberg. According to Epstein, after losing that fee, Boies turned to monetizing Epstein's sex tapes and blackmailing Wexner as an alternative revenue source.
The New York Times reported on the sex tape monetization scheme involving David Boies and J. Stanley Pottinger. A "shadowy hacker" claimed to have obtained Epstein's sex tapes, and the two lawyers explored what the men depicted would pay to keep them secret. A "hot list" of men on the tapes was compiled.
This article was circulated internally at SDNY, where prosecutors were aware of the potential existence of compromising recordings — consistent with the confirmed OPR finding that "investigators had learned Epstein used hidden cameras in his New York residence to record his sexual encounters" (EFTA00077309).
An iMessage exchange in the Epstein corpus contains a cryptic reference to Pottinger:
"Pottinger? His whole family are rats"
The context suggests awareness of Pottinger's dual loyalties within the Epstein network — the term "rats" implies informing or betrayal.
Despite the extensive evidence of hidden cameras and Boies/Pottinger's attempts to monetize sex tapes, the FBI's 2025 review concluded:
"no videos of any sexual abuse identified"
This finding is notable given: (1) the OPR confirmed hidden cameras existed; (2) Boies and Pottinger apparently believed tapes existed enough to compile a "hot list"; (3) the "shadowy hacker" claimed to have recordings. The absence of recovered videos may indicate destruction of evidence or that the recordings were moved before seizure.
FBI correspondence with defense counsel confirms the total scope of photographic evidence:
"Of those 43,500 images, approximately 3,500 contain nude or partially nude images, and approximately 40,000 do not contain nudity."
All 43,500 images were loaded onto a laptop for defense review. A separate document confirms a "required preliminary screen of images for possible child pornography" was conducted. One photo depicted "a child in or about 1997, in a room with a blue couch" at what appeared to be Epstein's townhouse.
A BOP Facilities Manager memo dated August 13, 2019 states: "On Saturday August 10, 2019 I was informed that there was no recording of the closed circuit cameras (CCTV) from recorder 2." August 10, 2019 was the date of Epstein's death. The FBI came to retrieve video but found two bad hard drives being replaced. They seized all eighteen (18) hard drives — the two bad ones and sixteen from the RAID array. Critically, "when the FBI took the sixteen (16) hard drives out of the RAID without it finishing the rebuild it might have corrupted any data on the drives." The FBI's own actions may have destroyed the remaining video evidence.
Internal BOP emails reveal that after the FBI seized the drives, "recording capabilities will be off line for up to 8-10 days while they retrieve this data. We will still have live viewing/monitoring." Staff scrambled to restore recording capability, with the Regional Office directing emergency procurement of replacement equipment. A camera status report from August 16, 2019 (6 days after death) showed 23 out of 161 cameras still in outage (14.3%). The entire MCC camera infrastructure was in a degraded state surrounding Epstein's death.
FBI systematically reviewed 10 devices seized from Epstein for images and videos (devices numbered NYC024323 through NYC027910). The documented results: "Both are done. They are both negative on images and videos" — referring to only two Windows devices. The fate of evidence from the remaining 8 devices is unclear from available documents. Combined with the MCC camera failure, the soundproof door construction, the Citrix system destruction order, and Rodriguez's testimony about hidden cameras, this represents a significant gap in the evidentiary record.
The FBI FD-192 evidence log from the August 28, 2006 Palm Beach raid lists items seized including: "TWO VHS TAPES - POOL AREA" (Item 13) and "THREE VIDEO TAPES - MASTER BEDROOM" (Item 29). Also seized: "BLACK FRAMED PHOTO OF NUDE GIRL" (Item 8), "TWO VIBRATORS - 'TWIN TORPEDO'" (Item 24), and "ONE HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT" (Item 27). The contents of these VHS tapes are never described in the available EFTA corpus. Combined with Rodriguez's testimony about hidden cameras in the bedroom alarm clock, the tapes from the master bedroom are of particular investigative significance.
SDNY prosecutors discussed a subpoena to Epstein's estate (via Darren Indyke) for "Private Videos Recorded At His Properties." The status of compliance was unclear from available documents. This is separate from the Boies-Pottinger scheme to purchase surveillance videos and the FBI's own device review — suggesting multiple parallel efforts to locate Epstein's recording evidence.
A 117-minute filmed interview captures Epstein discussing his career: the Santa Fe Institute, Wall Street, Bear Stearns, the 2008 financial crisis. He describes himself as a "tier one" sex offender, "the lowest". He discusses donating to HIV clinics as a "class three sexual predator" — appearing to conflate or minimize his classification. He blames Bill Clinton for causing the financial crisis and discusses Larry Summers, genetic algorithms, and Howard Gardner. The recording appears to be a self-promotional or legacy video, notable for Epstein's casual attitude toward his sex offender status.
Court records reveal 62 electronic devices were seized from Epstein properties, yet prosecutors had access to NONE of them after one year (EFTA00026405). A complete device manifest (EFTA00037915) includes a DVR from the island — the surveillance system Epstein used. US Attorney Geoffrey Berman personally ordered an estate subpoena for surveillance videos (EFTA00017909) — but there is no confirmation it was ever executed. The FBI's CART (Computer Analysis and Response Team) processing failures meant only 1.4 million of "presumably tens of millions" of documents were processed. Nine IDE hard drives from the 2007 Palm Beach search were found stored in Epstein's NYC townhouse — evidence that should have been in FBI custody was in the suspect's possession. An FBI ELSUR (electronic surveillance) tape from April 2007 court-authorized surveillance of Epstein also exists (EFTA00026890).
Three copies of a wire memorandum (EFTA01404004, EFTA01360536, EFTA01360528) document that on March 16, 2015, Darren Indyke authorized a $1,000,000 wire from Southern Trust Company account 9244 to Bank Leumi LeIsrael, Branch 771, Shaul Hamelech Boulevard, Tel Aviv (SWIFT: LUMIILITTLV).
The beneficiary was ERGO Ltd. with reference line: "Reporty Investment" — directly funding the Epstein-Barak surveillance company later rebranded as Carbyne.
Carbyne was founded by Unit 8200 alumni (Israel's signals intelligence unit). In November 2025, Axon acquired Carbyne for $625 million. Axon provides body cameras and technology to over 18,000 US law enforcement agencies. Epstein-seeded surveillance technology now sits inside the backbone of American policing infrastructure.
In November 2016, shortly after Trump's election, emails between Michael Wolff (author of Fire and Fury) and Jeffrey Epstein reveal Epstein brokering meetings with an unnamed person who employs professional intelligence tradecraft:
"He is not so much shy, as paranoid. I have to contact him through his wife on a burner phone, which they don't reliably check." — Wolff to Epstein (EFTA01060431)
"Have left words on the burner phone. (When I go to his house in Garrison, he sends the driver but I always have to be waiting at a different location — spy tradecraft!)" — Wolff (EFTA01060472)
Epstein responds: "im happy to go to him. if he is shy" and in the same thread: "wed and fri and yes, I've set you up to see the right hand of the Dep Cr Prince" — likely referring to Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The unnamed contact lives in Garrison, NY (Hudson Valley), uses a burner phone reached through his wife, sends a driver, and requires Wolff to wait at different pickup locations each time. This demonstrates Epstein facilitating connections between a journalist and someone with intelligence-level operational security, while simultaneously brokering access to Saudi royalty.
From a deposition in EFTA00023557:
"And we laughed about it. Q. Was the film ever shown to anyone else? A. No. The tape was destroyed."
This testimony confirms that a recording of sexual activity involving Epstein was made, discussed ("we laughed about it"), and then deliberately destroyed. The casual reference to laughing about the tape and then destroying it suggests this was part of a pattern of creating and controlling compromising recordings — consistent with the broader blackmail/surveillance evidence.
An internal email chain about Apple TV installation across Epstein's building at 301 E 66th St reveals that apartment 11J was explicitly labeled "Ehud-One Bedroom" — a dedicated apartment for former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak within Epstein's property. Lesley Groff wrote: "I will need to coordinate with Ehud...they have an alarm system and we must tell his security detail."
The email also reveals that Nili Priell, Barak's chief of staff, managed access to the apartment: "It may be good to do while Nili is there so you can give her a demonstration of how Apple TV works." A separate email confirms Jes Staley's assistant coordinated a dinner between Staley, Epstein, and Barak at Epstein's residence (June 2013).
The apartment list reveals multiple guest apartments in the building controlled by Epstein (3J, 7J, 8A, 8H, 10B, 10N, 11J, 11P), suggesting an extensive property operation. That a former Israeli PM maintained a permanent apartment — with Israeli security detail and alarm system — in a building controlled by a convicted sex offender raises serious questions about the depth of the Epstein-Barak relationship.
Sergey Belyakov, former Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia and Barclays Capital Russia executive, served as Epstein's key channel to Russian political and financial elites.
In July 2014 — during the height of international sanctions over Russia's annexation of Crimea — Belyakov confirmed a meeting between Epstein and Alexei Simanovsky, deputy head of the Russian Central Bank, described as the "sanctions guy for Putin" (EFTA00993417). A convicted sex offender meeting with Russia's sanctions architect during an international crisis raises serious intelligence concerns.
Epstein brokered introductions from Belyakov to Silicon Valley billionaires for Moscow's Open Innovation Forum:
Belyakov offered to "cover all the related expenses" of Epstein's deportation from Russia (EFTA00306033) — indicating Epstein had actually been detained or expelled. Separately, Belyakov emailed Epstein about a "Russian girl" attempting to blackmail businessmen in New York.
The FBI specifically analyzed "Belyakov-Epstein document" via their Sentinel database (EFTA01731011), indicating this relationship was flagged for intelligence or counterintelligence review. Belyakov also connected his associate Nick Kovarsky — who had "met with Peter Thiel with the help of you" — to cybersecurity expert Vincenzo Iozzo via Epstein for discussions of "black and white hat hackers" (EFTA00657903).
When DAG Todd Blanche asked Maxwell directly: "Have you ever had any contact with an individual that you understand to be from Mossad?" Maxwell answered: "Not deliberately."
This answer is unique across the entire ~7 hours of proffer testimony. On every other topic — recruitment, blackmail, surveillance, abuse, specific individuals — Maxwell gave categorical denials: "Never," "Absolutely not," "No way." On Mossad, she gave a qualified non-denial that implies inadvertent or passive contact with Israeli intelligence.
When asked if Epstein received money from intelligence agencies including Mossad, she said: "Well, I don't believe so, but I wouldn't know. I mean, I would be very surprised if he did." — again hedging rather than categorically denying.
This is consistent with: her father Robert Maxwell's documented ties to Israeli intelligence; Epstein's second valid US passport maintained 2005-2019; message pad references to a "Second Israeli Passport"; and the FBI CHS report that Dershowitz told Acosta "Epstein belonged to both U.S. and allied intelligence services."
Police evidence: Palm Beach police found "two hidden cameras" — specifically two covert cameras hidden inside clocks and a camera behind Epstein's desk — along with "photographs of underage girls on a computer" during their search (EFTA00601091, EFTA00264995; Palm Beach PD Probable Cause Affidavit).
Evidence removal: By a later search, "most of Epstein's computer hard drives, surveillance cameras and videos had been removed from the house, leaving loose, dangling wires" (EFTA00798522). Separately: "surveillance cameras were found, but they were disconnected and the videotapes were gone" (EFTA00191264).
Victim testimony: A victim stated that "Mr Epstein's residences in Florida and New York had surveillance cameras that taped the sex sessions and taped [victim] even in the bathroom" (EFTA00653926). The same statement adds that "Ms Maxwell and Mr Epstein arranged for Ehud Barak to have sex with several girls."
OPR finding: The DOJ's own Office of Professional Responsibility draft included: "investigators were aware Epstein used hidden cameras in his New York residence to record his sexual encounters" (EFTA00077309).
Epstein himself: In a December 2010 email, Epstein asked: "could/should we get some digital recording device? i have a couple" (EFTA01829129) — confirming he possessed recording devices.
Blackmail purpose: Court documents state: "Epstein installed concealed cameras in numerous places on his properties to allegedly record sexual activity with underage girls by prominent people for criminal purposes such as blackmail" (EFTA00261990).
The FBI CID summary's claim that "searches did not reveal any cameras" is contradicted by Palm Beach police finding two hidden cameras, the OPR's own finding that investigators knew about hidden cameras, victim testimony about being recorded, and physical evidence that cameras were removed before later searches ("loose, dangling wires"). This contradiction raises serious questions about the completeness of the FBI's 2024 review.
Maxwell trial defense cross-examination preparation (EFTA00093476) reveals a victim testified that clocks in the massage room contained hidden cameras. The defense strategy was to use this claim to undermine the victim's overall credibility:
"You are certain that the clocks in the massage room had cameras, right?
So if no camera in clocks, your memory can't be trusted, right?"
This victim began visiting Epstein's Palm Beach home at age 14 and testified to over 100 visits. Her testimony about cameras in clocks corroborates:
Lesley Groff emails Rich Kahn and Bella Klein (January 18, 2017): "Jeffrey has asked that James wipe clean [redacted]'s old computer and then we sent to [redacted] in Barcelona" (EFTA00501483, EFTA00501484). "James" is from Personal Genius (personalgenius.us), Epstein's IT service, who confirms: "Great, I'll see you at 5PM."
The pattern — wipe a computer clean, then ship it overseas — is consistent with evidence destruction. This occurred in January 2017, after Epstein's 2008 conviction and well before the July 2019 SDNY arrest. Combined with Rodriguez's testimony about the New Albany IT technician erasing hard drives, this shows a systematic pattern of digital evidence destruction spanning years.
Court orders from December 2019 and January 2020 authorized pen register and trap-and-trace surveillance on a T-Mobile phone number subscribed to "Terramar Project" — Maxwell's ocean conservation nonprofit. The orders were issued in connection with an investigation of possible violations of 18 U.S.C. § 1591 (sex trafficking).
May 2011 email from Ghislaine Maxwell about "Clockwork" investment: "My initial take away is it just 'feels like a dirty business' or scam. Could very well be totally legit and a great investment, but it just doesn't feel clean. First of all you start with a sexual harrassment case that could be set-up, or blackmail. Then you throw in a scumbag lawyer..."
An individual using a Clifford Chance (major international law firm) email address wrote to Epstein on October 23, 2011: "I studied 11 hours for LSAT yesterday and today I do the same.... life = study. i want to Harvard more than i want anything else. I asked you why you need me naked on the photo...you didnt reply"
Epstein responded: "I only see your mind otherwise in email" — a non-answer that does not deny requesting the nude photo. This occurred in October 2011, three years after Epstein's conviction, showing the pattern of requesting nude photos from young women continued unabated.
Roberts describes discovering a "hidden room" behind a bookshelf in Epstein's Manhattan townhouse containing multiple video monitors showing different rooms in the house, including bedrooms. She states the surveillance system recorded activities in rooms where abuse occurred. This directly contradicts the FBI CID summary which claimed "searches did not reveal any cameras in any of the bedrooms or massage rooms." Roberts also describes a "satellite camera" system on Little St. James island.
On July 14, 2009 — just days after Epstein's release from Palm Beach County jail — Vicki Lowe of "Investigations, Consulting & Protection Group, Inc." (Weston, FL) emailed Epstein with subject line "Epstein Quote/Camera Surveillance", attaching a PDF quote (Surveillance_Quote_07.14.pdf) for his "surveillance needs" (EFTA00772763).
The very next day (July 15, 2009), Lowe sent a second email with 11 resumes and a cover letter (EFTA00750641) to Epstein at jeevacation@gmail.com, suggesting she was also involved in staffing recruitment.
This documents that Epstein was professionally upgrading his surveillance capabilities immediately upon release from prison — not dismantling them. The timing is significant: his registration as a sex offender would have been fresh, yet his first priority was procuring new camera surveillance equipment through a licensed PI firm.
An FBI communication states: "Duggan has a copy of a sex tape related to Epstein from the 90s and is currently in Russia" (EFTA00175111). John Mark Duggan is a former Palm Beach County deputy sheriff who fled to Moscow around 2016 and has claimed to possess Epstein-related materials.
This is significant for three reasons: (1) the FBI was aware of the alleged sex tape's existence; (2) the tape is described as being "from the 90s" — predating any law enforcement action against Epstein; (3) the material is allegedly in the possession of someone who fled to Russia, raising counterintelligence concerns about compromising material on prominent Americans held abroad.
Separately, a fact-checking document with Dershowitz rebuttals (EFTA00808054) references claims that an individual "has written over 100 emails to a Post reporter named Maureen Callahan in which she claims to have sex tapes of Donald Trump, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Bill Richardson, Richard Branson". The same document also describes Epstein's video system: he "installed a video system that taped every room" for "leverage against the men".
Rodriguez states directly: "at 22 years old and on, he doesn't want any girls. He's diseased. He's sick." He describes the girls he saw daily: "16, 17... The teenagers, they have braces, most of them. Younger than that, though? Yeah, yeah." He adds: "they were babies. Ice cream, and comedy, and movies."
Rodriguez describes a hidden camera in Epstein's bedroom: "This is his bed. And he used to have an alarm clock... And in there was a camera." He adds there was also "one in the garage." This corroborates the Palm Beach police finding of cameras hidden in clocks and directly contradicts the FBI CID summary's claim that "searches did not reveal any cameras in any of the bedrooms."
Rodriguez walks through the black book page by page, highlighting a damning pattern: entries for girls include "mom" and "parents" phone numbers alongside the girls' own numbers. He asks: "These are very young girls. Why do you have your parents' phone number next to it?"
He identifies Virginia (Roberts/Giuffre) and Vicky by name in the book, noting: "they tell mom, I'm in school" — describing the girls lying to their parents about their whereabouts while at Epstein's house.
Rodriguez estimates that 40% of the phone numbers in the book were "unknown to the police" — representing potential victims who were never identified or contacted by law enforcement.
November 2012 email from Epstein to Brock Pierce: "had bobby kotick here for dinner last night, heard lots about the future". Additional emails show video game "edutainment" discussions with crude language about women.
Email showing financial dependency:
"Jeffrey... I'm out of money... I hate asking you this but I need to pay my rent, laser (tomorrow), food and living and buy a camera for my video production class. help!"
A February 12, 2017 email (EFTA00635674):
"Hi [redacted]... Jeffrey wanted me to let you know he will speak to you on March 1st... we will send you 1000 Euros tomorrow so you can get a new phone..."
Sending 1,000 euros specifically for a "new phone" to an unnamed person in Europe, while delaying direct communication for weeks, suggests operational security measures — a new phone would lack surveillance history. Combined with the burner phone/spy tradecraft emails with Michael Wolff, this shows a pattern of communication security within Epstein's network.
A March 8, 2011 email from Sarah Kellen to Epstein (EFTA00561140):
"Story and I both just had missed calls from this number... no voicemail. I think it's a prepaid phone number when I do a reverse lookup."
This shows Epstein's staff actively performing reverse lookups on unknown callers and flagging prepaid phones — demonstrating sophisticated counter-surveillance awareness within the operation. The staff were trained to identify and report potential surveillance or unknown contacts.
On August 25, 2018, Epstein texted Norwegian diplomat Terje Rød-Larsen (former UN Special Coordinator, Nobel Peace Prize Committee chairman): “any luck on”. Terje replied: “Tried. Pls call me.” Epstein then sent a list of four erectile dysfunction medications: “Cialis , levitra viagra stendra” (EFTA00786091).
The exchange reads as Epstein asking Terje to source ED medications and Terje attempting but failing. This is notable because it demonstrates the depth of the compromising relationship — a senior international diplomat was being asked to personally procure sexual performance drugs for a convicted sex offender.
Epstein had dedicated physicians for this purpose: Dr. Harry Fisch (urologist) called in Stendra at Zitomer Pharmacy in NYC (EFTA01616222), and Dr. Bruce Moskowitz called in 30 Stendra pills to Publix in Palm Beach (EFTA00508962). The fact that Epstein also asked Terje — rather than simply using his doctors — suggests either convenience (possibly seeking medications while traveling) or the act of involving Terje itself served a purpose.
The same phone extraction (EFTA00786091) also contains, on the same day: Lawrence Krauss telling Epstein “You are one of the most amazing people I have ever known”, and an unredacted contact discussing Trump: “He is — and he is stilll a moron” and “I will suggest to Ivanka.”
In an October 2016 email to James Tagg (EFTA00664252), Epstein explicitly articulated his policy of excluding wives and girlfriends from meetings at his residences:
"thanks for coming. sorry it was so short... I thought you might have noticed that betsy is emblematic of why i dont allow wives or girlfreinds to attend"
'Betsy' is Dr. Stuart Hameroff's wife, who had accompanied him to a meeting at Epstein's townhouse. Hameroff — a University of Arizona anesthesiologist and Director of the Center for Consciousness Studies — had flown to NYC "mainly to see" Epstein (EFTA00814295), connected through intermediary Gino Yu.
The same email thread documents the Penrose Institute funding pitch: Hameroff proposed explaining why "SSRI antidepressants... take several weeks to act" through quantum consciousness theory, with plans to "test and design drugs" and develop "patents, products and money" (EFTA00667550).
The 'no wives' policy is significant as a documented mechanism for enabling exploitation — removing potential witnesses who might object to the presence of young women at Epstein's meetings.
In a December 2015 email exchange with New York Times reporter Landon Thomas Jr. (EFTA00839265), Epstein offered compromising material on Donald Trump:
"would you like photso of donald and girls in bikinis in my kitchen"
When Thomas asked whether he could pass a contact to a political reporter — "at some point this stuff will come out — as long he continues to top polls" — Epstein deflected to Norwegian heiress Celina Midelfart: "Pass on midelfart wealthiest girl in Norway."
The email thread includes the famous Trump quote: "I've known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy... He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side." Thomas noted: "That story will never die."
A separate email (EFTA02469569) notes: "I receive many calls a week about both Donald (midelfart, beauty contest, mara lago etc) and Clinton from reporters."
This documents Epstein possessing and offering to distribute compromising photographic material of Trump — consistent with the blackmail/surveillance pattern documented across the corpus.
On March 20, 2025, AUSA Maurene Comey told FBI Director Patel and Deputy Director Bongino: 'No videos of any sexual abuse identified at any point in the investigation' (EFTA00164742).
This statement is contradicted by multiple independent corpus sources:
In August–October 2015, Paul Weiss partners Brad Karp and Lorin Reisner (former Chief of the SDNY Criminal Division) directed private investigation firm Nardello & Co. to conduct covert one-party-consent recordings of Leon Black’s meetings with women at upscale NYC restaurants including the Four Seasons, Le Bernardin, The Modern, and King Cole Bar.
Transcripts were routed through Paul Weiss attorney-client privilege to Jeffrey Epstein, who asked for “sureveillance? report also bill to date?” (EFTA02488776) — indicating his involvement in the operation. Karp forwarded transcripts to Epstein with notes like “Very good meeting” and “Just in, Jeffrey”.
The recordings captured Black (“JD”/“John Doe”) meeting with Guzel Ganieva (“GG”) and other women. In the transcripts, Ganieva states: “I met with him [Epstein] and when we came to his place, this girl, she told me that you have to understand that these men, they need a few women a day.” Black threatened criminal prosecution, referencing his lawyer as “the ex-head of the criminal division of the US Attorney” — Lorin Reisner.
Separately, Epstein asked Karp about revoking Ganieva’s visa. Karp responded: “Both good ideas; will work on this.” On August 16, 2015, Epstein asked if Karp and “lorin” could “have her arrested!! fed extortion, high bail.. maybe deportation?” Karp replied: “I’ll check again with lorin, but my strong belief is that the answer is yes. Especially with the referral coming from the most recent head of the sdny usao.”
Nardello & Co. was founded by Dan Nardello, a former AUSA who was responsible for the criminal investigation of the Towers Financial fraud case — the $475M Ponzi scheme involving Steven Hoffenberg, Epstein’s business partner. JPMorgan records show Epstein paid Nardello a $150,000 retainer in October 2007 (EFTA01482878). In June 2019, Epstein was in direct iMessage contact with Nardello, coordinating a connection with Kathy Ruemmler (EFTA01612358).
In March 2026, Wigdor LLP filed an anti-SLAPP lawsuit citing the Karp-Epstein emails as evidence of a “decade-long campaign of intimidation and retribution against anyone who dares hold him to account.”
