[8:22]great wealth from all across the world have been able to get away with a lot of uh you know heinous crimes and they haven't been held accountable and they
[8:32]haven't even had to answer questions about what they knew and and when they knew it. Uh today we hope to uh be able to do as we did yesterday and continue
[8:43]to bring some of the most powerful people in the world in to answer questions. Again, no one's accusing anyone of any wrongdoing, but I think the American people have a lot of
[8:53]questions and our House Oversight Committee is committed to getting answers. We're committed to transparency. We've already seen a lot of very powerful people who have been
[9:05]held accountable by having to resign in disgrace from various boards all over the world. Uh we're going to continue to uh seek the truth. Uh try to figure out
[9:16]how the government failed the victims and try to hopefully hold more people accountable. That's what the purpose of this investigation is. Uh I will say this, it's very difficult to get people
[9:28]in uh for these depositions that of great power and great wealth. And I used yesterday and today as an example, it took seven months, seven months to get
[9:38]the Clintons in here, but we've got them in here. And uh we look forward to answering uh to asking lots of questions that I think any curious media outlet in America would have. Uh yesterday, Miss
[9:50]Clinton deferred a lot of questions to her husband. today. There were at least a dozen times when she said, "You'll have to ask my husband that. I can't answer that." So, uh, we already had a
[10:01]big portfolio of questions for him and, uh, that increased yesterday. So, we look forward to that. We'll be happy to answer a couple questions. >> Mr. Chairman, chairman, good morning. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Explain to us
[10:12]specifically what you need to hear from President Clinton today. What do you want to know? Well, I think everyone's seen there are a lot of photos that have been released by the Department of Justice as well as the embassy of state.
[10:23]There are a lot of email correspondents that included President Clinton. We know President Clinton had and and Secretary Clinton confirmed this yesterday. Uh Jeffrey Epstein was in the White House
[10:34]17 times while Bill Clinton was president. We know that Bill Clinton flew on Jeffrey Epstein's plane at least 27 times. So, uh, those are questions that we're going to ask. Everything
[10:45]that, uh, most media outlets have reported with respect to pictures and correspondence between Epstein, Maxwell, and Bill Clinton, these are all questions that we're going to ask today.
[10:56]>> Mr. Chairman, Mr. Chairman, >> yesterday you both told me that you were planning on asking about an email that Howard Lutick sent to Jeffrey Epste, and I presume about a Hillary Clinton fundraiser in 2001. If he's worth asking
[11:07]about, is he not worth asking in to talk about what he might know? Yeah. Uh, and I think it'll be interesting when we hopefully get that video out later today or or or Demar as quick as we can get it out. I think
[11:19]it'll be interesting what Hillary Clinton said about Howard L >> and how she said it >> and how she said it. We looked I think that was Miss Mace uh with the line of questioning. So, there was a pretty
[11:29]thorough line of questioning yesterday between Miss Mace and uh Miss Clinton with respect to lightning. And I I think you all find it very interesting what she had to say. But but we're going to
[11:39]continue to uh you know ask questions of of everyone that's that shows up in photos on the island and things like that. >> Secretary will be asking him. Yes, you
[11:50]will. >> Thank you, Mr. Chair. Obviously, we heard from Secretary Clinton after her deposition. She described the session as repetitive. She said it veered off
[12:01]topic. She was asked about things like UFOs, the pizza game. Can you explain why those topics were brought up and also in light of the release of that? >> And she also said there were substantive
[12:12]questions yesterday too. But one reason there were repetitive questions about Epstein is because we went through every email and every correspondence that implied uh Hillary Clinton and Jeffrey
[12:23]Epstein communicated often. You all have seen the email where he said uh that she looks better in person and all of that. Those were questions we asked. So every every
[12:34]item of evidence that would suggest Hillary Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein had a close relationship, we went and asked about that. So it may have seemed repetitive because there was a lot of
[12:45]documentation that would suggest that she had a relationship with Epste to be clear um uh Secretary Clinton actually asked the microphone. Sorry.
[12:56]Um, to be clear, Secretary Clinton actually asked us about what happened with the disclosure language in the NDAA. So, I mean, I know she's trying to pivot from the fact that she's here and she had a very close relationship
[13:06]regarding the Clinton Foundation and Epstein and Maxwell, but the point is is and I think I'd like to uh hit on this with probably Miss Mace here. Um, but I think we have a very important interest
[13:16]and curiosity about what specifically the co-conspirators had a role in all this, right? Um, we know for a fact that some of these were women and I think that today, at least with my line of
[13:27]questioning, um, you know, I'm curious about that. Why is it that these women were giving plea deals as adults for trafficking minors? Um, how much of that did they witness, etc. And so, you know,
[13:37]I I don't know that Secretary Clinton was all that honest about the context of this investigation. We asked extensively about intelligence ties, whether or not she felt that she was targeted as a result of possibly an intelligence
[13:48]gathering operation and she was very curiously interested in that and then also um you'll hear it in the response but had told us to follow up with a few countries, one of which is our ally. So
[13:58]that's interesting. >> Question brought up a good point about the Clinton Foundation. There's so many uh examples in the evidence the Department
[14:09]of Justice releases and correspondence where Epstein bragged about how involved he was initially in setting up the Clinton Global Initiative and the Clinton Foundation. We asked those
[14:20]questions to Secretary Clinton yesterday and and she kept saying, "Well, she was in the Senate at that time. She wasn't focused on it. You'll have to ask my husband." So, a lot of the Clinton Global Initiative questions yesterday
[14:30]went unanswered because Miss Clinton deferred to her husband. So, we'll do one more. >> Yeah, it's our understanding that you guys asked Secretary Clinton yesterday
[14:40]about photos of her husband in the Epstein files. What was her reaction when you showed various photos, for example, her her husband in the jacuzzi that we've seen? >> I'm going to let
[14:51]>> I'm going to let Miss We're on TV. >> Okay. I I'm not going to say anything. Uh, no. uh she didn't want to answer any questions about any of that and deferred most of those if not all of those
[15:02]questions to her husband and he will be thoroughly uh asked about that today. Um you know what did he know? What did he know? What did he see? Um because there are other people who come forward
[15:13]publicly like Kevin Spacy who thought all of this was very strange and actually a very high risk for a president of the United States or former president. It's all very bizarre. Um, but I asked her very pointed questions
[15:24]and you'll see that in the transcript in the video that comes out and you'll see how she responded um uh as well streaming >> and and and and I we'll close with this.
[15:34]We're going to we're going to get the video out as quickly as it we can get it uploaded and the sound and everything from yesterday. So, uh this is for all practical purposes a public deposition.
[15:45]The the American people are going to see it. I I I've heard C-SPAN's going to air it wire towire. Uh, so everyone's going to see what was asked yesterday and I think that'll answer a lot of questions, especially with Lutnik and and other
[15:57]things like that. Throughout the day, we'll try to send different members out to to give you brief updates. We don't want to uh disclose what's going on in the in the
[16:07]deposition specifically until after at the conclusion, but we'll keep you updated and we appreciate everyone being here and look forward to uh updating you throughout the day. >> Miss M, what do you mean that Hillary Clinton was screaming?
[16:18]>> She was on hinge. I hope that President Clinton is uh less unhinged today than his wife was yesterday. You'll see it. >> Why do you think she had >> Why do you think she had a relationship?
[16:29]>> Well, he was basically instrumental for his you'll find out from Clinton today in the >> Congresswoman. Who was the ally you were referring to? Who was the ally?
[16:41]The biggest thing is we need transparency, accountability, we need justice for the victims, and we need to make sure we find out how can we write laws to prevent human trafficking and
[16:51]prevent people of that evil level infiltrating the highest levels of government. Thank you. They're
[17:12]going to gaggle in just a second. It's >> not the best. >> You got your head is like right in the middle there like so it's not the best spot.
[17:22]>> I mean it's like up.
[17:36]Thank you, Democrats, and we're going to make some
[17:53]brief comments. Uh, everyone's got a few brief remarks, and then we're going to start the deposition. Uh, want to just begin by um just saying that what we're interested in today is a serious
[18:03]deposition. We have real questions that deserve serious answers from former President Clinton. And we have said from day one that Democrats want to talk to
[18:14]anyone, whether they are a Republican or a Democrat, no matter how powerful they are, whatever position that they've been in, if anyone has information about Jeffrey Epstein, and certainly the
[18:25]horror that he inflicted on so many women and children, we want to hear from him. What we do not want today is a
[18:34]sideshow and questions about UFOs or about conspiracy theories from decades ago, which is what unfortunately
[18:43]happened yesterday when a series of bizarre questions were asked of Secretary Clinton. And Secretary Clinton was clear. She never met Jeffrey Epstein. She never went on the island.
[18:55]She's never on the plane. And she had no knowledge, of course, of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. want to also add that there are a lot of questions today whether they're about
[19:05]Epson's finances about survivors about foreign intelligence that we look forward to asking in a way that's serious and dignified and we hope Republicans do the same. I also want to
[19:17]add one other thing which I think is really important. Republicans have now set a new president which is to bring in presidents and former presidents to testify. So, we're
[19:28]once again going to make that call that we did yesterday. We are now asking and demanding that President Trump officially come in and testify in front
[19:38]of the oversight committee. He appears in the Epstein files next to next to Jeffrey Epstein and Gain Maxwell almost more than anybody else. So, it's time for the president to answer questions
[19:49]about why files are missing from the DOJ, why there's been a White House cover up and why we continue in that administration to call this investigation a hoax.
[20:01]And finally, I'll review the call that we made yesterday that we are demanding again that the press and the public be allowed inside the depositions so that you can hear the answers and the
[20:11]questions directly. And if that's not going to happen, they need to release a full unedited review of the questions and video within
[20:21]24 hours of the end of these depositions. That means the Secretary Clinton deposition needs to be released immediately today. And with that, I'll pass it along to Mr.
[20:32]>> Thank you so much. Today we're here to conduct a serious investigation and um it is obvious that our Republican colleagues, at least yesterday, we're not here to do the same thing. We've
[20:43]said it many times and we'll continue to say it again. We will hear from anyone. We don't care who you are. We just want the truth. All of us have met with the survivors. All of us looked him in the
[20:55]eyes and promised them that we would see this thing through the end and do it in a serious way, asking questions about UAPs, UFOs. As interested as I am in the
[21:04]subject, too, it it has nothing to do with this investigation. Don't waste our time. Don't waste the time of survivors who have been waiting and waiting for
[21:14]justice. Now, finally, the government is paying attention. Members of Congress are paying attention. Stay focused on the matter at hand. We're also calling out the hypocrisy of
[21:25]our Republican colleagues. Yes, we're here to talk with President Clinton today. We'll talk with anyone. But how come people like Howard Ludnik see it seems like they don't want to talk with him? They don't want to talk with the
[21:36]president. They want to they don't want to call in Pam Bondi who has done everything that she can do to cover up and to slow down our investigation. A
[21:46]law passed by Congress damn year damn near unanimously that she's done everything she can to slow down the release of the files. And even when they're released and they said members of Congress would be able to go to the
[21:57]Department of Justice to view them unredacted. And I know all of us, if not most of us, have gone in there and seen files that are still redacted and not given a proper explanation as to why we
[22:08]can't view them. We know the Department of Justice has deleted things having to do with Donald Trump, has deleted things having to do with Howard Ledick and people connected to the administration.
[22:19]We know that Pam Bondi has been spying on members of Congress as we've been trying to conduct our legitimate oversight responsibilities. So, we are here to see this through. We're here
[22:31]because we know that this is about justice for the survivors. But justice also means that this never happens again. That's why this investigation is so important. We don't want this failure
[22:41]of government, this failure of elite billionaires getting away with a different system of justice. We don't want this to happen again. And that's why we're here today. We are serious about this. And my hope is that my
[22:53]Republican colleagues who say they're serious about it back it up with action. not just with the questions you ask here today, but what you do from here on out. It's not about party. It's about this
[23:03]nation. It's about protecting our most vulnerable people. Thank you. >> Good afternoon. I'm James Walkenshaw from Virginia's 11th district. I am glad
[23:14]that President Clinton is going to sit down today with us and answer questions under oath. Anybody who had a significant relationship with Jeffrey
[23:24]Epstein should explain what, if anything, and when they knew about the crimes that were being committed. President Clinton's sworn statement said
[23:36]that he had no knowledge of the crimes that were committed. And I know that we're committed to asking tough questions about that today. But
[23:44]President Clinton's presence here today under oath highlights the Donald Trumpsized gaping hole in Chairman
[23:55]Comr's investigation. President Trump has mentioned tens of thousands of times in the files. We learned in recent days that files
[24:06]related to an accusation made against President Trump have been removed, not released to the public in the files. And this investigation will not be complete
[24:16]until we bring President Trump in to answer questions under oath. I'm hopeful that Chairman Comr will have the courage to move us in that direction. Thank you.
[24:27]>> I'm Congressman Sumani from Virginia's 10th district. Uh we're going to ask President Clinton the hard questions today. We're going to get to the truth about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Uh but let's be real, we are
[24:39]talking to the wrong president today. President Trump is the one who released has not released two and a half million files. President Trump is the one who is blocking our investigation. President Trump is the one who wants this to go
[24:50]away. But it will not go away. And so yes, we will talk to President Clinton today. But moving forward, this needs to be not about party, but about getting to the truth and getting justice for the survivors. >> Congressman West here. I'm sorry these
[25:06]glasses go dark on me. Um, first and foremost, I think what is getting lost in much of this is that this is about justice for the victims and the
[25:16]survivors. And we can't forget that. This is not political theater, which um Republicans seem to be interested in. This is about getting to the bottom of
[25:27]exactly what happened and holding those um responsible accountable. And that's exactly what we're here to do. And so we're going to continue to uh keep
[25:38]pushing Republicans to do the right thing. We need to see anyone who has information with respect to um um the
[25:48]Epstein files or this sex trafficking, they need to be brought before um this committee and we need to have a serious investigation. And I and I've said it
[25:58]before as a former prosecutor. I've led these types of investigations and this has not been a serious investigation by any stretch of the imagination. The
[26:08]American people want um to see justice served. The victims and the survivors deserve justice. >> Good morning, Congresswoman Yasimanari
[26:20]from Arizona's third district. I am grateful that we are here day two of these depositions with Secretary Clinton and President Bill Clinton. We've always said we will take answers from anyone
[26:30]and nobody is above congressional oversight. But let's be absolutely honest about something. If the Republicans want to be serious about this investigation and getting to the
[26:42]truth and accountability for perpetrators, then we have to look to the most powerful person in the United States and the world, which is President Donald Trump. He is mentioned in the
[26:53]Epstein files more than almost anyone. And just this week, incredibly damning reporting came out to say that there were credible allegations from a woman
[27:04]who said that she was abused by Donald Trump when she was a minor. The FBI investigated this and interviewed this individual multiple times. You do not do
[27:15]that if it is not serious. Further, we need to investigate the ongoing White House cover up. We know that the Department of Justice has been withholding files. They have been making
[27:26]illegal redactions. The FBI and Cash Pat Mattel have been lying under oath. All of these people need to be deposed before this committee. We need to take
[27:37]this investigation seriously. There are more than a thousand people who were harmed by Jeffrey Epstein, Gain Maxwell, and many other rich and powerful people,
[27:48]children whose lives were literally altered forever at the hands of this abuse. This is very serious and I think the fact that some of the Republicans on
[27:58]the oversight committee feel that it is appropriate to make statements to say that President Trump is somehow exonerated. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna said this last night. That is the
[28:10]most outrageous thing that I have ever heard. Donald Trump needs to come before this committee and we will not stop fighting until we get the truth and there's accountability and justice for
[28:21]the survivors. I'm Ro Connor from California. I want to echo what all of my colleagues said. A
[28:31]new president has been set in America today. Before this, we had the Trump rule. Trump defied, as all of you know, a congressional subpoena with the January 6th committee. He said,
[28:41]"Presidents don't have to testify." Now, we have the Clinton rule, which is that presidents and their families have to testify when Congress issues a subpoena. then that means that Donald Trump needs
[28:53]to come before our committee and explain uh what he knew about Epstein and explain why we have not had a full release of the documents. We also need other people part of the Epstein class
[29:05]to come before this committee. If President Clinton can answer questions, many others need to as well. I was pleased to see Congresswoman Nancy Mace today calling for Howard Lutnik to come
[29:15]before our committee. I believe we will have the votes to uh subpoena him and uh we will work with ranking member Garcia to make sure that he comes before a
[29:25]committee. Mr. >> Mr. Mentioning foreign intelligence >> Virginia never accused the former president of wrongdoing but she did say
[29:35]that he visited at island that she saw him there but the former president say he never went. You mentioned Howard Lutnik several times. We know that he claimed to cut off ties with Epstein but
[29:47]then his founder visited the island. So who do you believe Virginia or President? >> Those questions are actually going to be asked today in deposition. >> Mr. Ranking member, just a short time
[29:57]ago, your Republican colleagues said that there was some type of exchange yesterday with the secretary where she was screaming. What is your characterization of what happened? I I I
[30:07]hope that the uh Republicans release the actual video unedited immediately because to say that the secretary was screaming uh I think is beyond a mischaracterization. What happened
[30:19]yesterday was a disgrace to be asking about UFOs, Pizzagate, conspiracy theories. You yourself are going to see the types of questions that she was
[30:28]asked to to to defend her husband, not directly to her, not information about her. But I think it's I think they didn't release the videos right now. You should all be let you guys have talked often about the
[30:42]president being set by President Clinton appearing here today as opposed to President Trump. Is the way that President Clinton answers these questions today also setting a precedent? If he invokes executive
[30:53]privilege or says he doesn't remember, could that set the stage for President Trump to do a similar situation? >> I think it was telling that uh Secretary Clinton did not take the fifth one time yesterday. She answered the questions.
[31:05]Uh that information needs to be released. I think it's important that President Clinton do the same. I think he will answer questions today. I think that President Trump needs to man up,
[31:15]get in front of this committee and answer the questions and stop calling this investigation a hoax. And we've got to go. >> Who asked people to get questions? Congressman Conor. D.
[31:46]Yeah. We're going to be in front of you. Okay. >> Down. >> Should I go behind? >> Yeah, they're doing the post. Oh. Oh, he's leaving.
[31:57]But the all the reporters were >> No, there was Oh my god.
[47:43]Not a problem. Can I give you the plug to plug into the
[48:35]This is so nice. Are you ready?
[49:04]Remember guys,
[49:37]enough. Yeah.
[50:14]>> Yep. >> Yeah. I thought
[50:36]for me. Yeah.
[51:12]>> Yeah. Sure. I appreciate it, man. Thank you again.
[51:26]Yeah. >> Yes. Yes sir.
[51:48]Excuse me, sir. How old were you?
[52:12]>> I made my first million last year. All right, everyone. We continue our
[52:37]coverage right now. Former President Bill Clinton deposition underway just a day after his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did six plus hours
[52:48]of testimony. Hi everyone, Mike Pa here. Thanks so much for joining us. So, we will continue to check at the different live streams that we have available here to us. Of course, we will be looking in
[53:00]throughout the day when we have uh more members of Congress coming out from the House side, on the Republican side and the Democratic side. We will bring that to you here on Live Now from Fox. In
[53:12]case you missed it, uh we did hear from House Republicans earlier. Let's listen in. Uh we have listened to uh people all
[53:23]across America who have kept up with the whole Epstein investigation and are outraged by the obvious fact that men
[53:33]and women for that matter of of great power and great wealth from all across the world have uh been able to get away with a lot of uh you know heinous crimes
[53:44]and they haven't been held accountable and they haven't even had to answer questions about what they knew and and when they knew it. Uh today, we hope to
[53:54]uh be able to do as we did yesterday and continue to bring some of the most powerful people in the world in to answer questions. Again, no one's accusing anyone of any wrongdoing. But I

[1:00:16]questions to her husband and he will be thoroughly uh asked about that today. Um you know what did he know? When he know what did he see? Um because there are other people who've come forward
[1:00:27]publicly like Kevin Spacy who thought all of this was very strange and actually a very high risk for a president of the United States or former president. It's all very bizarre. Um, but I asked her very pointed questions
[1:00:38]and you'll see that in the transcript in the video that comes out and you'll see how she responded um uh as well screaming >> and and and and I we'll close with this.
[1:00:48]We're going to we're going to get the video out as quickly as it we can get it uploaded and the sound and everything from yesterday. So, uh this is for all practical purposes a public deposition.
[1:00:59]The the American people are going to see it. I I I've heard C-SPAN's going to air it wire towire. Uh, so everyone's going to see what was asked yesterday and I think that'll answer a lot of questions, especially with Lutnik and and other
[1:01:11]things like that. Throughout the day, we'll try to send different members out to to give you brief updates. We don't want to uh uh >> disclose what's going on in the in the
[1:01:21]deposition specifically until after at the conclusion. But we'll keep you updated and we appreciate everyone being here and look forward to uh updating you throughout the day. Thank you. >> Miss, what do you mean that Hillary
[1:01:31]Clinton was screaming? She was unhinged and I hope that President Clinton is uh less unhinged today than his wife was yesterday. You'll see it. >> Why do you think she had a relationship? >> Why do you think she had a relationship?
[1:01:43]>> Well, he was basically instrumentalates or former president. It's all very bizarre. Um but I asked her very pointed questions and you'll see that in the transcript in the video that comes out
[1:01:53]and you'll see how she responded um uh as well screaming. All right, that was the House Republicans before the deposition
[1:02:04]started for Bill Clinton. Now, I want to show you House Democrats speaking just before everything got going. >> Right. Thank you all uh for being here
[1:02:24]today. I'm Robert Garcia. the ranking member uh leader of the oversight committee for Democrats and we're going to make some brief comments. Uh everyone's got a few brief remarks and then we're going to start the
[1:02:33]deposition. Uh want to just begin by um just saying that what we're interested in today is a serious deposition. We have real questions that deserve serious
[1:02:45]answers from former President Clinton. And we have said from day one that Democrats want to talk to anyone whether they are a Republican or a Democrat. no matter how powerful they are, whatever
[1:02:56]position that they've been in, if anyone has information about Jeffrey Epstein, and certainly the horror that he inflicted on so many women and children,
[1:03:06]we want to hear from them. What we do not want today is a sideshow and questions about UFOs or about conspiracy
[1:03:17]theories from decades ago, which is what unfortunately happened yesterday when a series of bizarre questions were asked of Secretary Clinton. And Secretary
[1:03:27]Clinton was clear. She never met Jeffrey Epstein. She never went on the island. She was never on the plane. And she had no knowledge, of course, of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes.
[1:03:38]Want to also add that there are a lot of questions today whether they're about Epson's finances, about survivors, about foreign intelligence that we look forward to asking in a way that's
[1:03:48]serious and dignified and we hope Republicans do the same. I also want to add one other thing which I think is really important. Republicans have now set a new president
[1:03:59]which is to bring in presidents and former presidents to testify. So, we're once again going to make that call that we did yesterday. We are now asking and
[1:04:09]demanding that President Trump officially come in and testify in front of the oversight committee. He appears in the Epstein files next to next to
[1:04:20]Jeffrey Epstein and Galain Maxwell almost more than anybody else. So, it's time for the president to answer questions about why files are missing from the DOJ, why there's been a White
[1:04:30]House cover up and why we continue in that administration to call this investigation a hoax. And finally, I'll review the call that
[1:04:40]we made yesterday that we are demanding again that the press and the public be allowed inside the depositions so that you can hear the answers and the questions directly. And if that's not
[1:04:50]going to happen, they need to release a full unedited review of the questions and video within 24 hours of the end of these
[1:05:00]depositions. That means the Secretary Clinton deposition needs to be released immediately today. And with that, I'll pass it along to Mr. Frost. >> Thank you so much. Today, we're here to
[1:05:12]conduct a serious investigation. And um it is obvious that our Republican colleagues, at least yesterday, we're not here to do the same thing. We've said it many times and we'll continue to
[1:05:22]say it again. We will hear from anyone. We don't care who you are. We just want the truth. All of us have met with the survivors. All of us looked him in the
[1:05:32]eyes and promised them that we would see this thing through the end and do it in a serious way, asking questions about UAPs, UFOs. As interested as I am in the
[1:05:41]subject, too, it it has nothing to do with this investigation. Don't waste our time. Don't waste the time of survivors who have been waiting and waiting for
[1:05:51]justice. Now, finally, the government is paying attention. Members of Congress are paying attention. Stay focused on the matter at hand. We're also calling out the hypocrisy of
[1:06:01]our Republican colleagues who, yes, we're here to talk with President Clinton today. We'll talk with anyone. But how come people like Howard Ludnik see it seems like they don't want to talk with him? They don't want to talk
[1:06:12]with the president. They want to they don't want to call in Pam Bondi who has done everything that she can do to cover up and to slow down our investigation. A
[1:06:23]law passed by Congress damn year damn near unanimously that she's done everything she can to slow down the release of the files and even when they're released. And they said members of Congress would be able to go to the
[1:06:34]Department of Justice to view them unredacted. I know all of us, if not most of us, have gone in there and seen files that are still redacted and not given a proper explanation as to why we
[1:06:45]can't view them. We know the Department of Justice has deleted things having to do with Donald Trump, has deleted things having to do with Howard Lnik and people connected to the administration. We know
[1:06:56]that Pam Bondi has been spying on members of Congress as we've been trying to conduct our legitimate oversight responsibilities. So, we are here to see this through.
[1:07:07]We're here because we know that this is about justice for the survivors. But justice also means that this never happens again. That's why this investigation is so important. We don't
[1:07:17]want this failure of government, this failure of elite billionaires getting away with a different system of justice. We don't want this to happen again. And that's why we're here today. We are
[1:07:27]serious about this. And my hope is that my Republican colleagues who say they're serious about it back it up with action. Not just with the questions you ask here today, but what you do from here on out.
[1:07:38]It's not about party. It's about this nation. It's about protecting our most vulnerable people. Thank you. >> We have a couple. >> Good afternoon. I'm James Wenshaw from
[1:07:48]Virginia's 11th district. I am glad that President Clinton is going to sit down today with us and answer questions under oath. Anybody who had a significant
[1:07:59]relationship with Jeffrey Epstein should explain what, if anything, and when they knew about the crimes that were being
[1:08:09]committed. President Clinton's sworn statement said that he had no knowledge of the crimes that were committed. And I know that we're committed to asking tough questions about that today. But
[1:08:21]President Clinton's presence here today under oath highlights the Donald Trumpsized gaping hole in Chairman Comr's
[1:08:32]investigation. President Trump has mentioned tens of thousands of times in the files. We learned in recent days that files
[1:08:42]related to an accusation made against President Trump have been removed, not released to the public in the files. And this investigation will not be complete
[1:08:53]until we bring President Trump in to answer questions under oath. I'm hopeful that Chairman Comr will have the courage to move us in that direction. Thank you.
[1:09:04]I'm Congressman Su Ceremonium from Virginia's 10th district. Uh we're going to ask President Clinton the hard questions today. We're going to get to the truth about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Uh but let's be real,
[1:09:15]we are talking to the wrong president today. President Trump is the one who released two and a half million files. President Trump is the one who is blocking our investigation. President Trump is the one who wants this to go
[1:09:27]away. But it will not go away. And so yes, we will talk to President Clinton today. But moving forward, this needs to be not about party, but about getting to the truth and getting justice for the survivors. >> Congressman Wesley Bell here. I'm sorry
[1:09:42]these glasses go dark on me. Um, first and foremost, I think what is getting lost in much of this is that this is about justice for the victims and the
[1:09:53]survivors. And we can't forget that. This is not political theater, which um Republicans seem to be interested in. This is about getting to the bottom of
[1:10:04]exactly what happened and holding those um responsible accountable. And that's exactly what we're here to do. And so we're going to continue to uh keep
[1:10:15]pushing Republicans to do the right thing. We need to see anyone who has information with respect to um um the
[1:10:24]Epstein files or this sex trafficking. They need to be brought before um this committee and we need to have a serious investigation. And I and I've said it
[1:10:35]before as a former prosecutor. I've led these types of investigations and this has not been a serious investigation by any stretch of the imagination. The
[1:10:45]American people want um to see justice served. The victims and the survivors deserve justice. >> Good morning, Congresswoman Yasaman
[1:10:56]andsari from Arizona's third district. I am grateful that we are here day two of these depositions with Secretary Clinton and President Bill Clinton. We've always said we will take answers from anyone
[1:11:07]and nobody is above congressional oversight, but let's be absolutely honest about something. If the Republicans want to be serious about this investigation and getting to the
[1:11:18]truth and accountability for perpetrators, then we have to look to the most powerful person in the United States and the world, which is President Donald Trump. He is mentioned in the
[1:11:30]Epstein files more than almost anyone. And just this week, incredibly damning reporting came out to say that there were credible allegations from a woman
[1:11:41]who said that she was abused by Donald Trump when she was a minor. The FBI investigated this and interviewed this individual multiple times. You do not do
[1:11:52]that if it is not serious. Further, we need to investigate the ongoing White House cover up. We know that the Department of Justice has been withholding files. They have been making
[1:12:03]illegal redactions. The FBI and Cash Patel have been lying under oath. All of these people need to be deposed before this committee. We need to take this
[1:12:14]investigation seriously. There are more than a thousand people who were harmed by Jeffrey Epstein, Galain Maxwell, and many other rich and powerful people,
[1:12:24]children whose lives were literally altered forever at the hands of this abuse. This is very serious and I think the fact that some of the Republicans on
[1:12:35]the oversight committee feel that it is appropriate to make statements to say that President Trump is somehow exonerated. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna said this last night. That is the
[1:12:47]most outrageous thing that I have ever heard. Donald Trump needs to come before this committee and we will not stop fighting until we get the truth and there's accountability and justice for
[1:12:58]the survivors. I'm Ro Kana from California. I want to echo what all my colleagues said. A new
[1:13:08]president has been set in America today. Before this, we had the Trump rule. Trump defied, as all of you know, a congressional subpoena with the January 6th committee. He said presidents don't
[1:13:19]have to testify. Now, we have the Clinton rule, which is that presidents and their families have to testify when Congress issues a subpoena. And that means that Donald Trump needs to come
[1:13:30]before our committee and explain uh what he knew about Epstein and explain why we have not had a full release of the documents. We also need other people
[1:13:40]part of the Epstein class to come before this committee. If President Clinton can answer questions, many others need to as well. I was pleased to see Congresswoman Nancy Mace today calling for Howard
[1:13:51]Lutnik to come before our committee. I believe we will have the votes to subpoena him and uh we will work with ranking member Garcia to make sure that
[1:14:01]he comes before a committee next. >> A couple questions. Go ahead. >> Mentioning foreign accused several times. We know that he claimed
[1:14:21]to cut off So who do you believe? >> Those questions are actually going to be asked today in this deposition. So we look forward to look forward to those questions.
[1:14:33]>> Just a short time ago, your Republican colleagues said that there was some type of exchange yesterday. What is your characterization?
[1:14:43]I I I hope that the uh Republicans released the actual video unedited immediately because to say that the secretary was screaming uh I think is
[1:14:54]beyond a mischaracterization. What happened yesterday was a disgrace to be asking about UFOs, Pizzagate, conspiracy theories. You yourself are going to see the types of questions that she was
[1:15:05]asked to to defend her husband, not directly to her, not information about her. I think it's I think they need to release the videos right now. You should
[1:15:13]all be let in uh in this immediately. >> You guys have talked often about the president being president.
[1:15:23]Is the way that President Clinton answers these questions today also setting a president invokes privilege. Could that set the stage for President Trump to do a similar situ? I
[1:15:34]>> I think I think it was telling that uh Secretary Clinton did not take the fifth one time yesterday. She answered the questions. Uh that information needs to be released. I think it's important that President Clinton do the same. I think
[1:15:45]he will answer questions today. Uh I think that President Trump needs to man up, get in front of this committee and answer the questions and Scott calling investigation a hoax. And we've got to
[1:15:56]go in. Thank you all very much. >> You have to get questions. >> All right. So that was from earlier today. House Democrats speaking right before the Bill Clinton deposition talking about uh how Hillary Clinton was
[1:16:07]handled just yesterday. Now, what I want to do is show you Hillary Hillary Clinton remarks after the deposition that lasted for more than 6 hours. Remember, we are still awaiting to see
[1:16:18]if we will get that playback today of the hearing of the testimony in full. If it does happen, we will have it for you on live now from Fox today. In the meantime, let's show you the remarks
[1:16:28]from uh Secretary Clinton yesterday. But whatever they asked me, I did my
[1:16:40]very best to respond. Um, it was disappointing that they refused to hold uh a public hearing so I
[1:16:51]wouldn't have to be out here characterizing it for you. You could have seen it for yourself. Uh, we had asked for that. We think it would have
[1:17:00]been better for the committee uh and its efforts to uh gather whatever information they are seeking. Uh we had
[1:17:10]uh a bit of a challenge in the beginning because we had agreed upon rules based on the fact it was going to be a closed
[1:17:18]hearing uh at their uh demand and one of the members violated uh that rule which was uh very upsetting because it
[1:17:29]suggested that uh they might violate other uh of our agreements. So, we had to cease the hearing for a period of
[1:17:38]time until we could get asurances that uh no rules would be uh broken going forward. And we returned to answer
[1:17:48]questions repetitively, literally over and over again. I don't know how many times I had to say I did not know Jeffrey Epstein. I never went to his
[1:17:59]island. I never went to his homes. I never went to his offices. Uh so it's on the record numerous times. Uh it then
[1:18:09]got at the end quite unusual because I started being asked about UFOs and a series of questions about
[1:18:20]Pizzagate, one of the most vile, bogus conspiracy theories that was propagated on the internet. uh that was serving as
[1:18:30]the basis of a member's uh questions to me. So I can only say that the best
[1:18:41]exchange that I had came at the very end when contrary to every other deposition they have uh taken.
[1:18:52]No Republican member asked any questions about Jeffrey Epstein or Delane Maxwell
[1:19:01]to anyone else they have deposed. And in fact, the Republican members didn't even show up for the deposition of Les Wexner.
[1:19:13]And when I said that, I had to uh point out that the only questions that any Republican member asked
[1:19:23]of any of the people they opposed was of former Attorney General Bill Barr when
[1:19:32]Chairman Comr asked him about the allegations in his view about Russia's
[1:19:43]uh involvement in my election in 2016. So at the very end of this hearing after I made that point, I want to commend
[1:19:54]Chairman Comr for raising a series of significant questions that I uh responded to about the nature of the
[1:20:06]investigation and the areas that I thought should be explored. Uh so I appreciated that. I uh want to see the
[1:20:17]truth come out. Uh so that was uh a reassuring way to end uh a very long repetitive uh deposition.
[1:20:27]>> Secretary, you spoke in your opening remarks about how heartbroken you have been for the Epstein survivors as these files have come out. Can you talk to us a little
[1:20:38]bit about how you have processed and reacted to uh the fact that the former president, your husband Bill Clinton is referencing the Epstein files numerous times, including in some photos uh
[1:20:48]featuring women? And how have you been personally preparing for the deposition that is coming tomorrow? Are you 100% confident that uh there isn't anything that the former president knows about
[1:20:59]Epstein's crimes? >> I am. And I think the chronology uh of uh the connection that he had with
[1:21:07]Epstein Epstein uh ended years several years before uh anything about uh Epstein's uh criminal activities came to
[1:21:17]light and and that he was charged and sadly given a sweetheart deal which as I said in my statement had that not happened perhaps his predatory behavior
[1:21:28]could have been stopped earlier. Um, but I think it is fair to say that the vast majority of people who had contact with
[1:21:36]him before his criminal please in ' 08 uh were like most people. They did not
[1:21:45]know uh what uh he was doing. Uh and I I think that that is exactly what my husband will testify to tomorrow. Secretary,
[1:22:00]do you believe this was a fair do you believe this was a fair hearing >> and do you still want to testify publicly even though you gave this opposition? >> Well, I'm not going to do it again. Uh,
[1:22:11]you know, they had a chance to do it in public and I wish they had done it in public and I think uh they're making the wrong decision avoiding doing it in
[1:22:20]public. Um, I thought it was very repetitive. I thought that uh uh they asked literally the same questions over and over again
[1:22:32]uh which didn't seem to me to be very productive. Uh and then as I said toward the end, you know, there were other questions that were totally off off uh
[1:22:42]subject. Uh so if if they are going to fulfill their responsibilities uh to literally investigate the investigations which is what they
[1:22:52]originally said was the scope of their uh work uh I think they could have spent the day more productively >> actionary
[1:23:05]madam secretary James from News can I ask why was colleague Maxwell thank you for Chelsea 's wedding in 2005. She'd already been mentioned in a civil
[1:23:17]lawsuit by Virginia before that Jeffrey MC already. >> She came as the plus one the guest of
[1:23:27]someone who was invited of your husband in the hot tub and swimming. >> What message does it say that? I don't
[1:23:37]know when the video will be out. I don't know when the transcript will be out. We've asked that they be out as quickly as possible and then you can see >> right. So that was from uh yesterday of
[1:23:51]course right after the uh long day testimony for Hillary Clinton. Now back out live in Chapaqua as former President Bill Clinton deposition still underway
[1:24:02]right now. Representative Robert Garcia, the Democrat of California, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, said this morning that Democrats have real questions that deserve serious
[1:24:13]answers from former President Clinton during his closed door deposition in Chapaquad today. We have said from day one that Democrats want to talk to anyone, whether they are Republican or a
[1:24:24]Democrat, no matter how powerful they are, whatever position that they might be in. Garcia said that they don't want to see another sideshow today like the one that happened during Hillary
[1:24:36]Clinton's deposition yesterday in which he he said Republicans asked her about UFOs and conspiracy theories. So, the former President Bill Clinton right now
[1:24:45]facing these questions uh led by the Republican le House Oversight Committee about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, making him the first sitting or former president to testify before members of
[1:24:57]Congress in more than 40 years. What we want to do now uh just in case if you are joining us here on Live Now
[1:25:07]from Fox, continuing uh to bring you always the very latest. I do want to uh showcase to you first uh the Democrats speaking from earlier today and then
[1:25:17]we'll show the Republicans as well. Great. Thank you all uh for being here
[1:25:29]today. I'm Robert Garcia. I'm the ranking member uh leader of the oversight committee for Democrats and we're going to make some brief comments. Uh everyone's got a few brief remarks and then we're going to start the
[1:25:39]deposition. Uh want to just begin by um just saying that what we're interested in today is a serious deposition. We have real questions that deserve serious
[1:25:51]answers from former President Clinton. And we have said from day one that Democrats want to talk to anyone whether they are a Republican or a Democrat, no matter how powerful they are, whatever

[1:32:39]be not about party, but about getting to the truth and getting justice for the survivors. >> Congressman Wesley Bell here. I'm sorry
[1:32:48]these glasses go dark on me. Um, first and foremost, I think what is getting lost in much of this is that this is about justice for the victims and the
[1:32:59]survivors. And we can't forget that this is not political theater, which um Republicans seem to be interested in. This is about getting to the bottom of
[1:33:10]exactly what happened and holding those um responsible accountable. And that's exactly what we're here to do. And so we're going to continue to uh keep
[1:33:21]pushing Republicans to do the right thing. We need to see anyone who has information with respect to um um the
[1:33:30]Epstein files or this sex trafficking. They need to be brought before um this committee and we need to have a serious investigation. And I and I've said it
[1:33:40]before as a former prosecutor. I've led these types of investigations and this has not been a serious investigation by any stretch of the imagination. The
[1:33:51]American people want um to see justice served. The victims and the survivors deserve justice. >> Good morning, Congresswoman Yasamsari
[1:34:03]from Arizona's third district. I am grateful that we are here day two of these depositions with Secretary Clinton and President Bill Clinton. We've always said we will take answers from anyone
[1:34:13]and nobody is above congressional oversight, but let's be absolutely honest about something. If the Republicans want to be serious about this investigation and getting to the
[1:34:24]truth and accountability for perpetrators, then we have to look to the most powerful person in the United States and the world, which is President Donald Trump. He is mentioned in the
[1:34:36]Epstein files more than almost anyone. And just this week, incredibly damning reporting came out to say that there were credible allegations from a woman
[1:34:47]who said that she was abused by Donald Trump when she was a minor. The FBI investigated this and interviewed this individual multiple times. You do not do
[1:34:58]that if it is not serious. Further, we need to investigate the ongoing White House cover up. We know that the Department of Justice has been withholding files. They have been making
[1:35:09]illegal redactions. The FBI and Cash Patel have been lying under oath. All of these people need to be deposed before this committee. We need to take this
[1:35:19]investigation seriously. There are more than a thousand people who were harmed by Jeffrey Epstein, Galain Maxwell, and many other rich and powerful people,
[1:35:30]children whose lives were literally altered forever at the hands of this abuse. This is very serious and I think the fact that some of the Republicans on
[1:35:41]the oversight committee feel that it is appropriate to make statements to say that President Trump is somehow exonerated. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna said this last night. That is the
[1:35:53]most outrageous thing that I have ever heard. Donald Trump needs to come before this committee and we will not stop fighting until we get the truth and there's accountability and justice for
[1:36:04]the survivors. I'm Ro Kana from California. I want to echo what all of my colleagues said. A
[1:36:13]new president has been set in America today. Before this, we had the Trump rule. Trump defied, as all of you know, a congressional subpoena with the January 6th committee. He said
[1:36:24]presidents don't have to testify. Now, we have the Clinton rule, which is that presidents and their families have to testify when Congress issues a subpoena. And that means that Donald Trump needs
[1:36:36]to come before our committee and explain uh what he knew about Epstein and explain why we have not had a full release of the documents. We also need other people part of the Epstein class
[1:36:47]to come before this committee. If President Clinton can answer questions, many others need to as well. I was pleased to see Congresswoman Nancy Mace today calling for Howard Lutnik to come
[1:36:57]before our committee. I believe we will have the votes to subpoena him and uh we will work with ranking member Garcia to make sure that he comes before a committee next.
[1:37:09]>> A couple questions for Virginia. You mentioned Howard several times. We
[1:37:26]know that he cut off at the scene of the island. So who do you believe Virginia? >> Those questions are actually going to be asked today in this deposition. So we look forward to look forward to those
[1:37:37]questions. >> Just a short time ago, your Republican colleagues said that there was some type of exchange yesterday. What is your character?
[1:37:49]I I I hope that the uh Republicans released the actual video unedited immediately because to say that the secretary was screaming uh I think is
[1:37:59]beyond a mischaracterization. What happened yesterday was a disgrace to be asking about UFOs, Pizzagate, conspiracy theories. You yourself are going to see the types of questions that she was
[1:38:11]asked to to to defend her husband, not directly to her, not information about her. I think it's I think they need to release the videos right now. You should
[1:38:19]all be let in uh in this immediately. >> You guys have talked often about the president being set by President Clinton appearing here today.
[1:38:29]Is the way that President Clinton answers these questions today also setting a prevok I think I think it was telling that uh
[1:38:42]Secretary Clinton did not take the fifth one time yesterday. She answered the questions. Uh that information needs to be released. I think it's important that President Clinton do the same. I think he will answer questions today. Uh I
[1:38:53]think that President Trump needs to man up, get in front of this committee and answer the questions and stop calling this investigation a hoax. And we've got to go in. Thank you.
[1:39:03]>> All right. While we wait for some fresh sound from either Republicans or Democrats, I do want to show you from yesterday Senate Democrats talking about
[1:39:13]the Epstein files. review the unredacted files in the coming days. Pam Bondi should listen carefully. The truth will come out. The
[1:39:24]whole ugly ugly truth about what she's doing to protect people in the files will come out. The whole world is going to know exactly what she knew when she
[1:39:33]knew it and what she did to cover it up. Democrats are going to hold Pam Bondi and everyone involved at the DOJ
[1:39:42]accountable for this cover up. Today, we are demanding that Department of Justice and the FBI preserve records on what transpired behind the scenes. We want to
[1:39:54]know who was involved in the decision to hide the truth. And a warning to the Trump cronies working on this. We will know if you are destroying documents and evidence. You will not outrun the law.
[1:40:05]You will not outrun the truth. This isn't political. The survivors deserve the truth and the American people are demanding it. Democrats and
[1:40:16]Republicans agree the American people deserve the truth. So, Donald Trump, stop hiding. Stop delaying. Come clean with the American people. And if you
[1:40:26]don't, Democrats will make sure the truth comes out. Our next speaker is Senator Durban. Thanks, Senator Schumer. With the
[1:40:44]Epstein files, the Trump administration had an opportunity to secure a win for survivors, for accountability, and for transparency. But after mishandling the
[1:40:54]files for a year, it took an act of Congress to force Pam Bondi and Cash Patel to even consider providing justice.
[1:41:05]Even after the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the Trump administration decided to violate federal law to protect the rich and powerful.
[1:41:15]The law required DOJ to produce the files by December 19th. Yet, the vast majority of those files were not produced until January 30th, 42 days
[1:41:26]later. Department of Justice has violated the legislation's protection for victims by publishing records without redacting personally identifiable information of
[1:41:37]victims, including nude photos where their names and faces could be identified. In sharp contrast, other produced records heavily redacted
[1:41:47]information identifying powerful business and political figures who are alleged conspirators or material witnesses to Epstein's crimes. Violations of the Epstein Files
[1:41:59]Transparency Act continue as the Department of Justice has yet to produce all Epstein related records required by law and has removed thousands of records
[1:42:09]from the website beyond those that inappropriately identify victims. Keep in mind mind a whistleblower told my office that FBI agents reviewing the
[1:42:21]Epstein files were instructed to flag any records that mentioned President Donald Trump. This disclosure is even more damning in light of yesterday's bombshell. The New York Times report
[1:42:33]that the Justice Department failed to disclose documents related to a woman who alleged that Trump sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Simply put, Pam Bondi and Cash Patel
[1:42:44]have mismanaged these records during their tenure in office. That is why as ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I'm joining our leadership Charles Schumer and a letter to the
[1:42:54]Justice Department and FBI requesting the preservation of records related to the management of the Epstein files over the course of the Trump administration. Preserving federal records and
[1:43:06]safeguarding information critical to congressional oversight is a legal obligation that all department employees are required to meet. As I told General Bondi during last year's judiciary
[1:43:17]committee oversight hearing, quote, "Eventually, you're going to have to answer for your conduct in this. You won't do it today, but eventually you
[1:43:26]will. The survivors deserve better. It's clear that Donald Trump and his Republican enablers are executing a cover up and conceal strategy. Heads are
[1:43:36]rolling at the highest levels of the United Kingdom. Will heads roll in the United States? When will the Trump administration come clean with the survivors and the American people? The
[1:43:47]sooner the better. Next, I believe Senator Bloom Bloom can't make it. >> He's not here yet. He's in another hearing. Senator, >> Senator Murphy, >> the Epstein Files Transparency Act that
[1:44:00]I introduced with Ben Ray Luhan in the Senate was crystal clear. No record shall be withheld, delayed, or redacted on the basis of any of the following: embarrassment, reputational harm,
[1:44:12]political sensitivity, including any government official, public figure, or foreign dignitary. Well, here we are. Those 99 days have passed and what we have seen is the
[1:44:23]files have not been released according to the law. We have seen that victims names and photos that were supposed to be redacted weren't redacted. And all kinds of
[1:44:34]redactions appear to have occurred for folks who are potential perpetrators. And we're seeing the Epstein files
[1:44:44]reverberate across the world. the prime minister of Norway, the former ambassador from Britain to the United
[1:44:54]States, uh, King Charles brother. But what about here in the United States of America? Why is there no accountability here in the United States of America for these atrocious crimes, the place where
[1:45:06]they occurred? We know that there were about 6 million pages, of which only somewhat more than three million have been released. We want those other three million released.
[1:45:17]And among them are these 50 pages that entail, as the New York Times said, claims made in 2019 by a woman who came forward after Mr. Epstein's arrest to
[1:45:29]say she'd been sexually assaulted by both Mr. Trump and Epstein when she was 13 to 15 years old. And it goes on to say that there were four interviews
[1:45:40]with this woman and only one of those interviews was released. Where are the other three? Now we know the other three exist because they are in the index
[1:45:51]and yet the pages are missing. How can anyone justify that these interviews have not been released?
[1:46:01]So that is a massive cover up by this administration. It's a massive and unacceptable cover up. We also know from the Telegraph
[1:46:13]that there are six secret storage units rendered across the country by Epstein that may have contained information that the Department of Justice hasn't
[1:46:21]apparently attempted to retrieve. By unanimous consent, the Senate said, "Yes,
[1:46:31]we passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act." Senator Schumer came forward and tried to strengthen that act with some real penalties and the Republican whip
[1:46:41]objected. Well, if Republicans were with us on seeking full disclosure, why object to putting more teeth into this bill? We
[1:46:53]all together, Democrats and Republicans, should be saying yes on transparency for the public, yes on accountability for
[1:47:03]the perpetrators, and yes for the closest thing we can get to justice for the victims. >> Senator Ggo has been relentless on this
[1:47:13]issue. Senator, >> thank you. Um, as we stated, princes, CEOs, the most powerful men in the world are being held accountable everywhere except the United States where we are
[1:47:24]supposed to be a country of equal justice uh under the law. Uh, we are actually proving quite uh the opposite. You know what we're proving here right now, what the Republicans are proving right now with the help of Donald Trump
[1:47:36]and Attorney General uh Pam Bondi is that if you are part of the Epstein class, if you are rich enough, you are powerful enough, you can do some really horrific things, raping children, raping
[1:47:48]women, engaging in sex trafficking, and this administration, the Republicans will engage in an active cover up for you. And even more so now we getting
[1:47:59]we're getting more reports of some real serious allegations of this president from a minor a woman who was a minor uh that is accusing the president of some very serious serious crimes. The
[1:48:10]American public deserves to know what happened, who was involved, not just President Trump, but everyone else involved. All these powerful men that are still walking around the United States right now. We're only talking
[1:48:21]about a couple years removed, a decade removed from a lot of these allegations. These men are still in power. These men are still potentially victimizing women,
[1:48:32]victimizing children. And the fact that this administration is actively covering up past crimes potentially means they're covering up current crimes. It's time for us to have full transparency. It's
[1:48:44]time for us to have accountability. It's time for us to throw some people in jail that did some really horrible stuff against kids in this country. And the fact that Donald Trump and the
[1:48:54]Republicans after talking a big game for se so many years about going after pedophiles are actively covering up for pedophiles right now should tell you exactly what is wrong with this
[1:49:04]administration. I unfortunately going to have to go read those uh redacted files uh next week. It's one of those things that you don't want to do. Uh the disgusting nature what I'm going
[1:49:16]to find on there is going to you'll probably make me uh a very ill. But because we have an administration that's actively covering up pedophiles, uh we
[1:49:27]have to take this step and we have to take the step to keep them accountable and to expose all these pedophiles that are still in power right now all over this country. Thank you. And just one
[1:49:38]more point which this um this article from the New York Times shows more and more is keep more and more keeps coming out and the more we that comes out the
[1:49:49]more we see how large their coverup has been questions on this subject. >> But yes in the back >> yeah we're all going together. Yeah I
[1:50:01]mentioned that in my remarks. Yes. >> Yeah. Yes. I I don't know if we're going to get We're all going and we have set up appointments to go. Yes, >> leader Schumer, you asked for unanimous
[1:50:11]consent on the floor a few weeks ago objective. What is your core strategy moving forward to kind of get Senate action on this? >> Well, the bottom line is the Republicans
[1:50:22]all voted for it, every single one. And we're going to keep at it. We're going to use every strategy we can going to the Justice Department seeking lawsuits as well as whatever legislative
[1:50:32]strategies will work. Yes. >> Look, all the truth should come out.
[1:50:43]Period. >> Yes. >> Europe,
[1:50:55]>> as my colleagues well outlined, I agree. Okay. Second question. How do you react to people who say that Democrats and Republicans are enacting a new form of
[1:51:05]basically guilty by association? Whoever is in the >> Yeah. All we want is the truth. The truth. >> Yes. >> President Trump.
[1:51:17]>> Uhhuh. Uh there will be efforts to reach out to everyone who's willing to come forward and speak. And do you want to talk about that? Uh >> I mentioned my Yeah.
[1:51:28]>> Letter on preserving evidence of witnesses. >> Yeah. So we can get it. Yes. >> When you see the underacted documents, what can the public expect from you to inform them? Can you do anything to inform them?
[1:51:40]>> Well, let's we we're not going to prejudge. Let's see what's in the documents. We want to protect people's identities, but we also want the truth to come out and we will walk that line uh with with with great vigor.
[1:51:51]>> Yes. >> Um there are an additional 3 million files that have not been released and many seems that the files that have been released remain redacted or have redacted. So what steps are you taking
[1:52:03]to ensure that those red? >> Yeah, we're going to demand justification for any redactions and if the redactions are coverups as opposed to protecting identities, we're going to get to the bottom of it.
[1:52:14]>> We're going to get to the bottom of it. Okay. Thank you everybody. >> Right, everyone. That was from
[1:52:27]yesterday. Just wanted to bring that to you as well here on Live Now from Fox. All right, we are getting a statement from the former president, Bill Clinton. Just like yesterday, the statement was
[1:52:38]put out by Hillary Clinton. Let's read for you right now. Uh former President Clinton's opening statement to the House Oversight and Government Reform
[1:52:49]Committee. It says, "Good morning. Welcome to Chapuqua. I'm here today for two reasons. The first is that I love my country and America was built upon the idea that no person is above the law,
[1:53:01]even presidents, especially presidents. Democracy requires every person to play their part. And I hope that by being here today, we can bring ourselves a
[1:53:11]little further away from the brink and uh back to being a country where we can disagree with one another civily, where the search for truth and justice outweighs the partisan urge to score
[1:53:22]points and create spectacle. I'll do my part and I hope you will do yours as well. The second reason I'm here is that the girls and women whose lives Jeffrey Epstein destroyed deserve not only
[1:53:34]justice but healing. They've been waiting too long for both. Though my brief acquaintance with Epstein ended years before his crimes came to light and thought I never witnessed during our
[1:53:45]limited interaction. It says, "And though I never witnessed during our limited interactions an indication of which was truly going on, I am here to
[1:53:55]offer what little I know so that it might prevent anything like this from ever happening again. But before we start, I have to get personal. You made Hillary come in. She had nothing to do
[1:54:06]with Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing. She has no memory of even meeting him. She neither traveled with him nor visited any of his properties. Whether you subpoena 10 people or 10,000, including
[1:54:18]her, was simply not right. We begin this hearing with me raising my hand and taking an oath to tell the truth. But everyone has a responsibility to be honest with
[1:54:29]those that they represent. Whether you raised your right hand or not, each and every one of us owes nothing less than the truth and accuracy to the American
[1:54:39]people. And it goes on to say, "Now, let me say what you're going to hear from me.
[1:54:49]First, I had no idea of the crimes uh Epstein was committing. No matter how many photos you show me, I have two things that at the end of the day matter more than your interpretation of those
[1:55:00]20 yearear-old photos. I know what I saw and more importantly what I didn't see. I know what I did and more importantly what I didn't do. I saw nothing and I
[1:55:09]did nothing wrong. As someone who grew grew up in a home with domestic abuse, not only would I have not flown on his plane, if I had any inkling of what he
[1:55:19]was doing, I would have turned him in myself and led the call for justice for his crimes, not sweetheart deals. But even with 2020 hindsight, I saw nothing
[1:55:29]that ever gave me pause. We are only here because he hid it from everyone so well for so long. And by the time it
[1:55:38]came to light with his 2008 guilty plea, I long stopped associating with him. You'll often hear me say that I don't recall. That might be unsatisfying, but
[1:55:49]I'm not going to say something I'm not sure of. This was all a long time ago, and I'm bound by my oath not to speculate or to guess. This is not
[1:55:59]merely for my benefit, but because it doesn't help you for me to play detective 24 years later. Since I am under oath, I will not falsely state that I am looking forward to your
[1:56:10]questions, but I am ready to answer them to the best of my abilities, consistent with the facts as I know them, the legitimate, the logical, and even the outlandish. With that, Mr. Chairman,
[1:56:22]fire away. So, that was the opening statement by the former President Bill Clinton. to pictures and correspondence between
[1:56:40]Epstein, Maxwell, and Bill Clinton. These are all questions that we're going to ask today. >> Yesterday, you both told me that you were planning on asking about an email that Howard Lutnik sent to Jeffrey
[1:56:51]Epste, I presume, about a Hillary Clinton fundraiser. I think that was the one. He's worth asking about. Is he not worth asking to talk about what he might know? Yeah. Um, and I think it'll be
[1:57:02]interesting when we hopefully get that video out later today or or or Demar as quick as we can get it out. I think it'll be interesting what Hillary Clinton said about Howard Lutnik >> and how she said it >> and how she said it. We look I think
[1:57:14]that was Miss Mace. >> All right, everyone. I do want to just get out of this right now because we do have Representative Anna Paulina speaking right now with the House
[1:57:24]Republicans. Let's listen in. Couple more people.
[1:57:49]>> Yeah, you're fine. I >> think everyone hopped off to go to lunch. pools here, right?
[1:58:02]>> Pools here. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Um All right. Well, first >> don't stay in front of the pool, please. >> Um just first of all, a quick update. President Clinton is being very
[1:58:13]cooperative. Um I do want to point out because I have seen some back and forth in regards to some of the Democrats trying to call in not credible witnesses. And I won't get into the nature of what I've asked the president
[1:58:24]specifically until after the deposition is over. Um, but to be clear, we've had two witnesses or uh not two witnesses, two individuals um one that accuses
[1:58:35]President Clinton of unfounded allegations um of there being sex tapes, etc. by the name of Sarah Ransom. And there was a uh an individual under the name of Katie Johnson that also had
[1:58:46]unfounded allegations of rape against our sitting president of the United States. both being um claims that did not have evidence for for grounds of that. And so just as we wouldn't call in
[1:58:58]an individual like Sarah Ransom who we know um made up claims, we're not going to do the same thing for President Trump. So I think to be able to um bring that up and conflate the two with this
[1:59:08]investigation is wrong. And and I want to be very clear on record, I don't believe that Sarah claims had valid claims against President Trump in regards to what she was uh President Clinton as in regards to what she was alleging. Um, just as I don't believe
[1:59:20]that there are valid claims against President Trump by the individual of the name of Katie Johnson, what I will say is it has become very evident even in the last 24 hours in lines of
[1:59:30]questioning that Jeffrey Epstein was running a intelligence gathering operation. In my professional opinion, I do believe it was a honeypot operation. And I do believe that there's a list of
[1:59:41]individuals who did engage in trafficking was given these plea deals. And I'm going to name those individuals right now. The first one would be Leslie Grath. The second one Sarah Kellen, the
[1:59:50]third one, Nadia Marova, and the fourth one, Adriana Ross. All of these women engaged trafficking uh engaged in the trafficking of minors as adults. They were working and complicit with Jeffrey
[2:00:02]Epstein's operation. And in my opinion, they are not to be given victim status because they did partake in harming harming young girls. Um, I remember seeing in some of the files some of
[2:00:13]these girls were, you know, as young as 10, 11 years old and older. And so, obviously, we have a lot of work to do, but I did want to come and give an update and let you know that President Clinton, as of right now, is cooperative
[2:00:25]and answering answering all of our questions. Um, and that it leads me to believe that if we can remove the partisan nature of this investigation, we actually might be able to get justice. And so I will be calling on the
[2:00:36]um the oversight committee to bring in those four individuals that I just listed. We will continue to conduct the investigation and provide updates shortly for all of you.
[2:00:45]>> What has the former president? >> Um I can't get into the specifics of the
[2:00:57]deposition because it's still currently going on. But again, he's being very cooperative and I think that that statement is pretty on point with what we're hearing. >> Is
[2:01:08]saying anything? >> We will provide updates as soon as it's over. I don't want to um violate the trust that we have right now in the
[2:01:19]depositions. But I do think that we are at least getting a little bit more of a clearer picture. And I will say I'm not in favor and if there is a request to bring in an individual who's made false
[2:01:30]allegations against President Clinton, um I will be voting that down in committee just as I will be voting down any individuals that are brought forward that have made false claims against President Trump. I do think that there
[2:01:40]is a bit of partisan um smear attempts in this whole investigation. But it's important to note that Jeffrey Epste does have all of the telltale signs of an intelligence gathering operation. I think we all know that. Um I do believe
[2:01:51]that because of the people in power and influence specifically presidents etc that he was targeting that there is an aspect of you know um foreign governments trying to pit some of us
[2:02:03]against against each other using this topic and so we're more focused on that as well as bringing justice to the victims and there is no justice when traffickers are given plea deals and so we'll be following up on that as well.
[2:02:14]>> Congressman cooperative do you believe when he said I saw I did nothing wrong. >> Um I'm going to go back in and what I
[2:02:24]will say is that I I don't have any reason to believe right now that he's hiding the ball and everything. He's been pretty transparent. >> And is it your belief and that believes
[2:02:33]that the former president was targeted by Jeffrey Epstein? I it is in my opinion I don't think the
[2:02:44]opinion of the committee but I do believe that Jeffrey Epste was targeting many politicians um many influential people especially in regards to economic policy etc. And I do believe that it was
[2:02:55]possible that not just him but likely Secretary Clinton as well as a number of other people were targeted um due to an intelligence gathering operation. I think the American people will agree with me on that. But again, I don't want to get into too much of the specifics of
[2:03:06]the deposition and I will be able to tell you at least once this is over and we will be also trying to release those recordings from Secretary's deposition yesterday as well as President Clintons
[2:03:15]as soon as possible. Thank you guys. >> All right, Representative Anna Paulina there uh giving the latest updates right
[2:03:25]here for you on live now from Fox. again, Representative Anna Paulina Luna giving the latest updates from the Republican side as uh they are in now
[2:03:35]the lunch period. We're going to continue on with more on Live Now from Fox. >> Maxwell and Bill Clinton. These are all
[2:03:46]questions that we're going to ask today. >> Yesterday, you both told me that you were planning on asking about an email that Howard Lutnik sent to Jeffrey Epste, I presume about a Hillary Clinton fundraiser. That was
[2:03:58]He's worth asking about. Is he not worth asking in to talk about what he might know? >> Yeah. Um and I think it'll be interesting when we hopefully get that video out later today or or or Demar as
[2:04:10]quick as we can get it out. I think it'll be interesting what Hillary Clinton said about Howard Lutnik >> and how she said it >> and how she said it. We look I think that was Miss Mace uh with the line of questioning. So, there was a pretty
[2:04:21]thorough line of questioning yesterday between Miss Mace and uh Miss Clinton with respect to Latnik. And I I think you all find it very interesting what she had to say, but but we're going to
[2:04:31]continue to uh you know, ask questions of of everyone that's that shows up in photos on the island and things like that. >> I'll ask her secretary. Mr. >> I will be asking for him. Yes, >> you will. >> Go ahead.
[2:04:43]>> Uh thank you, Mr. Chair. Obviously, we heard from Secretary Clinton after her deposition. She described the session as repetitive. She said it veered off topics. She was asked about things like
[2:04:54]UFOs, pizza gate. Can you explain why those topics were brought up and also in light of the release of that photo? >> And she also said there were substantive questions yesterday, too. But one reason
[2:05:06]there were repetitive questions about Epstein is because we went through every email and every correspondence that implied uh Hillary Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein communicated often. You all have
[2:05:17]seen the email where he said uh that she looks better in person and all of that. Those were questions we asked. So every every item of evidence that would suggest
[2:05:28]Hillary Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein had a close relationship, we went and asked about that. So it may have seemed repetitive because there was a lot of documentation that would suggest that
[2:05:40]>> she had a relationship with Epstein. So go ahead. Um, m uh, Secretary Clinton actually asked about the NDAA. Sorry. Go ahead. >> Um, to be clear, Secretary Clinton actually asked us about what happened
[2:05:51]with the disclosure language in the NDAA. So, I mean, I know she's trying to pivot from the fact that she's here and she had a very close relationship regarding the Clinton Foundation and Epstein and Maxwell, but the point is
[2:06:02]is, and I think I'd like to uh, hit on this with probably Miss Mace here. Um, but I think we have a very important interest and and curiosity about what specifically the co-conspirators had a
[2:06:12]role in all this, right? Um, we know for a fact that some of these were women and I think that today, at least with my line of questioning, um, you know, I'm curious about that. Why is it that these women were given plea deals as adults
[2:06:23]for trafficking minors? Um, how much of that did they witness, etc. And so, you know, I I don't know that Secretary Clinton was all that honest about the context of this investigation. We asked
[2:06:34]extensively about intelligence ties, whether or not she felt that she was targeted as a result of possibly an intelligence gathering operation and she was very curiously interested in that and then also um you'll hear it in the
[2:06:46]response but had told us to follow up with a few countries, one of which is our ally. So that's interesting. >> And I think I think Miss Miss Luna brought up a good point about the
[2:06:55]Clinton Foundation. There's so many uh examples in the evidence the Department of Justice released in correspondence where Epstein bragged about how involved
[2:07:05]he was initially in setting up the Clinton Global Initiative and the Clinton Foundation. We asked those questions to Secretary Clinton yesterday and and she kept saying, "Well, she was
[2:07:16]in the Senate at that time. She wasn't focused on it. You'll have to ask my husband." So, a lot of the Clinton Global Initiative questions yesterday went unanswered because Miss Clinton deferred to her husband. So, we'll do
[2:07:27]one more question. Annie, Annie, go ahead. >> It's our understanding that you guys asked Secretary Clinton yesterday about photos of her husband in the Epste. What was her reaction when you showed photos,
[2:07:38]her husband that we've seen? >> I'm gonna let >> I'm gonna let Miss Mace answer that. We're on TV. >> Okay. I I'm not going to say anything. Uh, no. uh she didn't want to answer any
[2:07:50]questions about any of that and deferred most of those if not all of those questions to her husband and he will be thoroughly uh asked about that today. Um you know what did he know? What did he
[2:08:02]know? What did he see? Um because there were other people who've come forward publicly like Kevin Spacy who thought all of this was very strange and actually a very high risk for a president of the United States or former
[2:08:12]president. It's all very bizarre. Um, but I asked her very pointed questions and you'll see that in the transcript in the video that comes out and you'll see how she responded um uh as well screaming
[2:08:24]>> and and and and I we'll close with this. We're going to we're going to get the video out as quickly as it we can get it uploaded in the sound and everything from yesterday. So, uh this is for all
[2:08:34]practical purposes a public deposition. The the American people are going to see it. I I I've heard C-SPAN's going to air it wire towire. Uh, so everyone's going to see what was asked yesterday and I
[2:08:45]think that'll answer a lot of questions, especially with Lutnik and and other things like that. Throughout the day, we'll try to send different members out to to give you brief updates. We don't
[2:08:54]want to uh uh >> disclose what's going on in the in the deposition specifically until after at the conclusion, but we'll keep you updated and we appreciate everyone being
[2:09:05]here and look forward to uh updating you throughout the day. >> Miss, what do you mean that Hillary Clinton was screaming? She was unhinged and I hope that President Clinton is uh less unhinged today than his wife was yesterday. You'll see it.
[2:09:16]>> Why do you think she had a relationship? >> Say again. >> Why do you think she had a relationship with him? >> Well, he was basically instrumental or former president. It's all very
[2:09:26]bizarre. Um but I asked her very pointed questions and you'll see that in the transcript and the video that comes out and you'll see how she responded. Um uh as well screaming.
[2:09:37]All right, that was the House Republicans before the deposition started for Bill Clinton. Now, I want to show you House Democrats speaking just
[2:09:47]before everything got going. >> Great. Thank you all uh for being here
[2:10:01]today. I'm Robert Garcia. the ranking member uh leader of the oversight committee for Democrats and we're going to make some brief comments. Uh everyone's got a few brief remarks and then we're going to start the
[2:10:11]deposition. Uh want to just begin by um just saying that what we're interested in today is a serious deposition. We have real questions that deserve serious
[2:10:22]answers from former President Clinton. And we have said from day one that Democrats want to talk to anyone whether they are a Republican or a Democrat. No matter how powerful they are, whatever
[2:10:34]position that they've been in, if anyone has information about Jeffrey Epstein, and certainly the horror that he inflicted on so many women and children, we want to hear from them. What we do
[2:10:46]not want today is a sideshow and questions about UFOs or about conspiracy theories from decades ago, which is what
[2:10:57]unfortunately happened yesterday when a series of bizarre questions were asked of Secretary Clinton. And Secretary Clinton was clear. She never met Jeffrey
[2:11:07]Epstein. She never went on the island. She's never on the plane. And she had no knowledge, of course, of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. want to also add that there are a lot of
[2:11:17]questions today whether they're about Epson's finances about survivors about foreign intelligence that we look forward to asking in a way that's serious and dignified and we hope
[2:11:28]Republicans do the same. I also want to add one other thing which I think is really important. Republicans have now set a new president which is to bring in presidents and
[2:11:40]former presidents to testify. So, we're once again going to make that call that we did yesterday. We are now asking and demanding that President Trump
[2:11:49]officially come in and testify in front of the oversight committee. He appears in the Epstein files next to next to Jeffrey Epstein and Galain Maxwell
[2:12:00]almost more than anybody else. So, it's time for the president to answer questions about why files are missing from the DOJ, why there's been a White House cover up and why we continue in
[2:12:11]that administration to call this investigation a hoax. And finally, I'll review the call that we made yesterday that we are demanding again that the press and the public be
[2:12:21]allowed inside the depositions so that you can hear the answers and the questions directly. And if that's not going to happen, they need to release a full unedited
[2:12:33]review of the questions and video within 24 hours of the end of these depositions. That means that the Secretary Clinton deposition needs to be released immediately today. And with
[2:12:44]that, I'll pass it along to Mr. Frost. >> Thank you so much. Today, we're here to conduct a serious investigation. And um it is obvious that our Republican colleagues, at least yesterday, we're
[2:12:56]not here to do the same thing. We've said it many times and we'll continue to say it again. We will hear from anyone. We don't care who you are. We just want the truth. All of us have met with the
[2:13:07]survivors. All of us looked them in the eyes and promised them that we would see this thing through the end and do it in a serious way, asking questions about UAPs, UFOs. As interested as I am in the
[2:13:18]subject, too, it it has nothing to do with this investigation. Don't waste our time. Don't waste the time of survivors who have been waiting and waiting for
[2:13:29]justice. Now, finally, the government is paying attention. Members of Congress are paying attention. Stay focused on the matter at hand. We're also calling out the hypocrisy of
[2:13:39]our Republican colleagues who, yes, we're here to talk with President Clinton today. We'll talk with anyone. But how come people like Howard Ludnik see it seems like they don't want to talk with him? They don't want to talk
[2:13:50]with the president. They want to they don't want to call in Pam Bondi who has done everything that she can do to cover up and to slow down our investigation. A
[2:14:00]law passed by Congress damn year damn near unanimously that she's done everything she can to slow down the release of the files and even when they're released. And they said members of Congress would be able to go to the
[2:14:11]Department of Justice to view them unredacted. I know all of us, if not most of us, have gone in there and seen files that are still redacted and not given a proper explanation as to why we
[2:14:23]can't view them. We know the Department of Justice has deleted things having to do with Donald Trump, has deleted things having to do with Howard Lnik and people connected to the administration. We know
[2:14:34]that Pam Bondi has been spying on members of Congress as we've been trying to conduct our legitimate oversight responsibilities. So, we're here to see this through. We're here because we know
[2:14:46]that this is about justice for the survivors. But justice also means that this never happens again. That's why this investigation is so important. We don't want this failure of government,
[2:14:57]this failure of elite billionaires getting away with a different system of justice. We don't want this to happen again. And that's why we're here today. We are serious about this. And my hope is that my Republican colleagues who say
[2:15:09]they're serious about it back it up with action. Not just with the questions you ask here today, but what you do from here on out. It's not about party. It's about this nation. It's about protecting
[2:15:19]our most vulnerable people. Thank you. >> We have a couple more. >> Good afternoon. I'm James Walkenshaw from Virginia's 11th district. I am glad that President Clinton is going to sit
[2:15:31]down today with us and answer questions under oath. Anybody who had a significant relationship with Jeffrey Epstein should explain what, if
[2:15:42]anything, and when they knew about the crimes that were being committed. President Clinton's sworn statement said that he had no knowledge of the crimes
[2:15:52]that were committed. And I know that we're committed to asking tough questions about that today. But President Clinton's presence here today
[2:16:03]under oath highlights the Donald Trumpsized gaping hole in Chairman Comr's investigation. President Trump has mentioned tens of
[2:16:13]thousands of times in the files. We learned in recent days that files related to an accusation made against President Trump have been removed, not
[2:16:25]released to the public in the files. And this investigation will not be complete until we bring President Trump in to answer questions under oath. I'm hopeful
[2:16:36]that Chairman Comr will have the courage to move us in that direction. Thank you. I'm Congressman Suhas Cberman from Virginia's 10th district. Uh we're going to ask President Clinton the hard
[2:16:47]questions today. We're going to get to the truth about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Uh but let's be real, we are talking to the wrong president today. President Trump is the one who released two and a half million files.
[2:16:59]President Trump is the one who is blocking our investigation. President Trump is the one who wants this to go away. But it will not go away. And so yes, we will talk to President Clinton today. But moving forward, this needs to
[2:17:10]be not about party, but about getting to the truth and getting justice for the survivors. >> Congressman Wesley Bell here. I'm sorry
[2:17:20]these glasses go dark on me. Um, first and foremost, I think what is getting lost in much of this is that this is about justice for the victims and the
[2:17:31]survivors. And we can't forget that this is not political theater, which um Republicans seem to be interested in. This is about getting to the bottom of
[2:17:42]exactly what happened and holding those um responsible accountable. And that's exactly what we're here to do. And so we're going to continue to uh keep
[2:17:53]pushing Republicans to do the right thing. We need to see anyone who has information with respect to um um the
[2:18:02]Epstein files or this sex trafficking. They need to be brought before um this committee and we need to have a serious investigation. And I and I've said it
[2:18:12]before as a former prosecutor. I've led these types of investigations and this has not been a serious investigation by any stretch of the imagination. The
[2:18:23]American people want um to see justice served. The victims and the survivors deserve justice. >> Good morning, Congresswoman Yasam
[2:18:34]andsari from Arizona's third district. I am grateful that we are here day two of these depositions with Secretary Clinton and President Bill Clinton. We've always said we will take answers from anyone
[2:18:45]and nobody is above congressional oversight, but let's be absolutely honest about something. If the Republicans want to be serious about this investigation and getting to the
[2:18:56]truth and accountability for perpetrators, then we have to look to the most powerful person in the United States and the world, which is President Donald Trump. He is mentioned in the
[2:19:07]Epstein files more than almost anyone. And just this week, incredibly damning reporting came out to say that there were credible allegations from a woman
[2:19:19]who said that she was abused by Donald Trump when she was a minor. The FBI investigated this and interviewed this individual multiple times. You do not do
[2:19:30]that if it is not serious. Further, we need to investigate the ongoing White House cover up. We know that the Department of Justice has been withholding files. They have been making
[2:19:40]illegal redactions. The FBI and Cash Patel have been lying under oath. All of these people need to be deposed before this committee. We need to take this
[2:19:51]investigation seriously. There are more than a thousand people who were harmed by Jeffrey Epstein, Galain Maxwell, and many other rich and powerful people,
[2:20:02]children whose lives were literally altered forever at the hands of this abuse. This is very serious and I think the fact that some of the Republicans on
[2:20:13]the oversight committee feel that it is appropriate to make statements to say that President Trump is somehow exonerated. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna said this last night. That is the
[2:20:24]most outrageous thing that I have ever heard. Donald Trump needs to come before this committee and we will not stop fighting until we get the truth and there's accountability and justice for
[2:20:36]the survivors. I'm Ro Kana from California. I want to echo what all of my colleagues said. A
[2:20:45]new president has been set in America today. Before this, we had the Trump rule. Trump defied, as all of you know, a congressional subpoena with the January 6th committee. He said
[2:20:56]presidents don't have to testify. Now, we have the Clinton rule, which is that presidents and their families have to testify when Congress issues a subpoena. And that means that Donald Trump needs
[2:21:07]to come before our committee and explain uh what he knew about Epstein and explain why we have not had a full release of the documents. We also need other people part of the Epstein class
[2:21:19]to come before this committee. If President Clinton can answer questions, many others need to as well. I was pleased to see Congresswoman Nancy Mace today calling for Howard Lutnik to come
[2:21:29]before our committee. I believe we will have the votes to subpoena him and uh we will work with ranking member Garcia to make sure that he comes before a committee next.
[2:21:41]>> A couple questions mentioning foreign Virginia never accused the former President Bill Clinton of wrongdoing but
[2:21:49]she did say that he visited Epste. You mentioned Howard several times. We know that he claimed to cut off ties
[2:22:00]with Epste but then visited the island. So who do you believe Virginia or President Wilson? >> Those questions are actually going to be asked today in this deposition. So we look forward for those questions.
[2:22:10]>> Just a short time ago your Republican colleagues said that there was some type of exchange yesterday with the secretary where she was screaming. What is your characterization?
[2:22:21]>> I I I hope that the uh Republicans release the actual video unedited immediately. Because to say that the secretary was screaming, uh, I think is
[2:22:31]beyond a mischaracterization. What happened yesterday was a disgrace. To be asking about UFOs, Pizzagate, conspiracy theories, you yourself are going to see the types of questions that she was
[2:22:43]asked to to defend her husband, not directly to her, not information about her. I think it's I think they need to release the videos right now. You should
[2:22:51]all be let in uh in this immediately. You guys have talked often about the president being set by President Clinton appearing here today as it relates to President Trump. Is the way that
[2:23:02]President Clinton answers these questions today also setting a precedent if he invokes executive privilege or says he doesn't remember? Could that set the stage for President Trump to do a similar situation?
[2:23:12]>> I I think I think it was telling that uh Secretary Clinton did not take the fifth one time yesterday. She answered the questions. Uh that information needs to be released. I think it's important that President Clinton do the same. I think
[2:23:23]he will answer questions today. Uh I think that President Trump needs to man up, get in front of this committee and answer the questions and stop calling investigation a hoax. And we've got to
[2:23:34]go in. Thank you all very much. >> You have to get questions. >> All right. So that was from earlier today. House Democrats speaking right before the Bill Clinton deposition talking about uh how Hillary Clinton was
[2:23:44]handled just yesterday. Now, what I want to do is show you Hillary Hillary Clinton remarks after the deposition that lasted for more than 6 hours. Remember, we are still awaiting to see
[2:23:55]if we will get that playback today of the hearing of the testimony in full. If it does happen, we will have it for you on live now from Fox today. In the meantime, let's show you the remarks
[2:24:05]from uh Secretary Clinton yesterday. But whatever they asked me, I did my
[2:24:18]very best to respond. Um, it was disappointing that they refused to hold uh a public hearing so I
[2:24:29]wouldn't have to be out here characterizing it for you. You could have seen it for yourself. Uh, we had asked for that. We think it would have
[2:24:37]been better for the committee uh and its efforts to uh gather whatever information they are seeking. Uh we had
[2:24:47]uh a bit of a challenge in the beginning because we had agreed upon rules based on the fact it was going to be a closed
[2:24:56]hearing uh at their uh demand and one of the members violated uh that rule which was uh very upsetting because it
[2:25:06]suggested that uh they might violate other uh of our agreements. So, we had to cease the hearing for a period of
[2:25:16]time until we could get asurances that uh no rules would be uh broken going forward. And we returned to answer
[2:25:26]questions repetitively, literally over and over again. I don't know how many times I had to say I did not know Jeffrey Epstein. I never went to his
[2:25:37]island. I never went to his homes. I never went to his offices. Uh so it's on the record numerous times. Uh it then
[2:25:47]got at the end quite unusual because I started being asked about UFOs and a series of questions about
[2:25:57]Pizzagate, one of the most vile, bogus conspiracy theories that was propagated on the internet. uh that was serving as the
[2:26:08]basis of a member's uh questions to me. So I can only say that the best
[2:26:18]exchange that I had came at the very end when contrary to every other deposition they have uh taken.
[2:26:30]No Republican member asked any questions about Jeffrey Epstein or Delane Maxwell
[2:26:39]to anyone else they have deposed. And in fact, the Republican members didn't even show up for the deposition of Les Wexner.
[2:26:50]And when I said that, I had to uh point out that the only questions that any Republican member asked
[2:27:01]of any of the people they opposed was of former Attorney General Bill Barr when
[2:27:09]Chairman Comr asked him about the allegations in his view about Russia's
[2:27:20]uh involvement in my election in 2016. So at the very end of this hearing after I made that point, I want to commend
[2:27:32]Chairman Comr for raising a series of significant questions that I uh responded to about the nature of the
[2:27:43]investigation and the areas that I thought should be explored. Uh so I appreciated that. I uh want to see the
[2:27:54]truth come out. Uh so that was uh a reassuring way to end uh a very long
[2:28:02]repetitive uh deposition. Secretary, >> you spoke in your opening remarks about how heartbroken you have been for the Epstein survivors as these files have
[2:28:14]come out. Can you talk to us a little bit about how you have processed and reacted to uh the fact that the former president, your husband Bill Clinton, is referencing the Epstein files numerous times, including in some photos uh
[2:28:25]featuring women? And how have you been personally preparing for the deposition that is coming tomorrow? Are you 100% confident that uh there isn't anything that the former president knows about
[2:28:36]Epstein's crimes? I am and I think the chronology uh of uh the connection that he had with Epstein Epstein uh ended
[2:28:47]years several years before uh anything about Epstein's uh criminal activities came to light and and that he was
[2:28:57]charged and sadly given a sweetheart deal which as I said in my statement had that not happened perhaps his predatory behavior could have been stopped earlier.
[2:29:07]Um, but I think it is fair to say that the vast majority of people who had contact with him before his criminal
[2:29:17]please in ' 08 uh were like most people. They did not know uh what uh he was doing. Uh and I I
[2:29:27]think that that is exactly what my husband will testify to tomorrow. Secretary, do you believe this was a fair do you
[2:29:40]believe this was a fair hearing >> and do you still want to testify publicly even though you do this deposition? >> Well, I'm not going to do it again. Uh, you know, they had a chance to do it in
[2:29:50]public and I wish they had done it in public and I think uh they're making the wrong decision avoiding doing it in public. Um,
[2:30:00]I thought it was very repetitive. I thought that uh uh they asked literally the same questions over and over again
[2:30:09]uh which didn't seem to me to be very productive. Uh and then as I said toward the end, you know, there were other questions that were totally off off uh
[2:30:19]subject. Uh so if if they are going to fulfill their responsibilities uh to literally investigate the investigations which is what they originally said was
[2:30:31]the scope of their uh work uh I think they could have spent the day more productively secretary from Sky News. Can I ask why
[2:30:46]was Colleen Maxwell invited to Chelsea Clinton's wedding in 2010? She'd already been mentioned in the civil lawsuit by
[2:30:56]Virginia Gary before that Jeffrey MC already >> she came as the plus one the guest of
[2:31:04]someone who was invited of your husband in the hot tub and swimming. >> What message does it say that president? I don't know when the video will be out.
[2:31:16]I don't know when the transcript will be out. We've asked that they be out as quickly as possible and then you can see >> Madam Secretary.
[2:31:26]>> All right. So that was from uh yesterday of course right after the uh long day testimony for Hillary Clinton. Now back out live in Chapaqua as former President
[2:31:37]Bill Clinton deposition still underway right now. Representative Robert Garcia, the Democrat of California, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, said this morning that Democrats have
[2:31:49]real questions that deserve serious answers from former President Clinton during his closed door deposition in Chapaqua today. We have said from day one that Democrats want to talk to
[2:31:59]anyone, whether they are Republican or a Democrat, no matter how powerful they are, whatever position that they might be in. Garcia said that they don't want
[2:32:10]to see another sideshow today like the one that happened during Hillary Clinton's deposition yesterday in which he he said Republicans asked her about UFOs and conspiracy theories. So, the
[2:32:21]former President Bill Clinton right now facing these questions uh led by the Republican le House Oversight Committee about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, making him the first sitting or former
[2:32:33]president to testify before members of Congress in more than 40 years. What we want to do now uh just in case if you are joining us here on Live Now
[2:32:45]from Fox, continuing to bring you always the very latest. I do want to uh showcase to you first uh the Democrats speaking from earlier today and then
[2:32:55]we'll show the Republicans as well. >> Great. Thank you all uh for being here
[2:33:07]today. I'm Robert Garcia. I'm the ranking member uh leader of the oversight committee for Democrats and we're going to make some brief comments. Uh everyone's got a few brief remarks and then we're going to start the
[2:33:16]deposition. Uh want to just begin by um just saying that what we're interested in today is a serious deposition. We have real questions that deserve serious
[2:33:28]answers from former President Clinton. And we have said from day one that Democrats want to talk to anyone whether they are a Republican or a Democrat, no matter how powerful they are, whatever
[2:33:40]position that they've been in. If anyone has information about Jeffrey Epstein and certainly the horror that he inflicted on so many women and children,
[2:33:49]we want to hear from them. What we do not want today is a sideshow and questions about UFOs or about conspiracy
[2:34:00]theories from decades ago, which is what unfortunately happened yesterday when a series of bizarre questions were asked of Secretary Clinton. And Secretary
[2:34:11]Clinton was clear. She never met Jeffrey Epstein. She never went on the island. She was never on the plane. And she had no knowledge, of course, of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes.
[2:34:21]Want to also add that there are a lot of questions today whether they're about Epson's finances, about survivors, about foreign intelligence that we look forward to asking in a way that's
[2:34:32]serious and dignified and we hope Republicans do the same. I also want to add one other thing which I think is really important. Republicans have now set a new precedent
[2:34:43]which is to bring in presidents and former presidents to testify. So, we're once again going to make that call that we did yesterday. We are now asking and
[2:34:52]demanding that President Trump officially come in and testify in front of the oversight committee. He appears in the Epstein files next to next to
[2:35:04]Jeffrey Epstein and Galain Maxwell almost more than anybody else. So, it's time for the president to answer questions about why files are missing from the DOJ, why there's been a White
[2:35:13]House cover up and why we continue in that administration to call this investigation a hoax. And finally, I'll review the call that
[2:35:23]we made yesterday that we are demanding again that the press and the public be allowed inside these depositions so that you can hear the answers and the questions directly. And if that's not
[2:35:33]going to happen, they need to release a full unedited review of the questions and video within 24 hours of the end of these
[2:35:44]depositions. That means the Secretary Clinton deposition needs to be released immediately today. And with that, I'll pass it along to Mr. Frost. >> Thank you so much. Today, we're here to
[2:35:55]conduct a serious investigation. And um it is obvious that our Republican colleagues, at least yesterday, we're not here to do the same thing. We've said it many times and we'll continue to
[2:36:05]say it again. We will hear from anyone. We don't care who you are. We just want the truth. All of us have met with the survivors. All of us looked him in the
[2:36:15]eyes and promised them that we would see this thing through the end and do it in a serious way, asking questions about UAPs, UFOs. As interested as I am in the
[2:36:24]subject, too, it it has nothing to do with this investigation. Don't waste our time. Don't waste the time of survivors who have been waiting and waiting for
[2:36:35]justice. Now, finally, the government is paying attention. Members of Congress are paying attention. Stay focused on the matter at hand. We're also calling out the hypocrisy of
[2:36:45]our Republican colleagues who, yes, we're here to talk with President Clinton today. We'll talk with anyone. But how come people like Howard Ludnik see it seems like they don't want to talk with him? They don't want to talk
[2:36:56]with the president. They want to they don't want to call in Pam Bondi who has done everything that she can do to cover up and to slow down our investigation. A
[2:37:06]law passed by Congress damn year damn near unanimously that she's done everything she can to slow down the release of the files and even when they're released. And they said members of Congress would be able to go to the
[2:37:17]Department of Justice to view them unredacted. I know all of us, if not most of us, have gone in there and seen files that are still redacted and not given a proper explanation as to why we
[2:37:29]can't view them. We know the Department of Justice has deleted things having to do with Donald Trump, has deleted things having to do with Howard Ludnik and people connected to the administration.
[2:37:39]We know that Pam Bondi has been spying on members of Congress as we've been trying to conduct our legitimate oversight responsibilities. So, we're here to see this through. We're here
[2:37:51]because we know that this is about justice for the survivors. But justice also means that this never happens again. That's why this investigation is so important. We don't want this failure
[2:38:01]of government, this failure of elite billionaires getting away with a different system of justice. We don't want this to happen again. And that's why we're here today. We are serious about this. And my hope is that my
[2:38:13]Republican colleagues who say they're serious about it back it up with action. Not just with the questions you ask here today, but what you do from here on out. It's not about party. It's about this
[2:38:23]nation. It's about protecting our most vulnerable people. Thank you. >> We have a couple more. >> Good afternoon. I'm James Walkenshaw from Virginia's 11th district. I am glad
[2:38:34]that President Clinton is going to sit down today with us and answer questions under oath. Anybody who had a significant relationship with Jeffrey
[2:38:44]Epstein should explain what, if anything, and when they knew about the crimes that were being committed. President Clinton's sworn statement said
[2:38:56]that he had no knowledge of the crimes that were committed. And I know that we're committed to asking tough questions about that today. But
[2:39:04]President Clinton's presence here today under oath highlights the Donald Trumpsized gaping hole in Chairman Comr's
[2:39:16]investigation. President Trump has mentioned tens of thousands of times in the files. We learned in recent days that files
[2:39:26]related to an accusation made against President Trump have been removed, not released to the public in the files. And this investigation will not be complete
[2:39:37]until we bring President Trump in to answer questions under oath. I'm hopeful that Chairman Comr will have the courage to move us in that direction. Thank you.
[2:39:48]I'm Congressman Sua Ceremonium from Virginia's 10th district. Uh we're going to ask President Clinton the hard questions today. We're going to get to the truth about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Uh but let's be real,
[2:39:59]we are talking to the wrong president today. President Trump is the one who released two and a half million files. President Trump is the one who is blocking our investigation. President Trump is the one who wants this to go
[2:40:10]away. But it will not go away. And so yes, we will talk to President Clinton today, but moving forward, this needs to be not about party, but about getting to the truth and getting justice for the survivors. >> Congressman Wesley Bell here. I'm sorry
[2:40:26]these glasses go dark on me. Um, first and foremost, I think what is getting lost in much of this is that this is about justice for the victims and the
[2:40:36]survivors. And we can't forget that this is not political theater, which um Republicans seem to be interested in. This is about getting to the bottom of
[2:40:47]exactly what happened and holding those um responsible accountable. And that's exactly what we're here to do. And so we're going to continue to uh keep
[2:40:58]pushing Republicans to do the right thing. We need to see anyone who has information with respect to um um the
[2:41:08]Epstein files or this sex trafficking, they need to be brought before um this committee and we need to have a serious investigation. And I and I've said it
[2:41:18]before as a former prosecutor. I've led these types of investigations and this has not been a serious investigation by any stretch of the imagination. The
[2:41:28]American people want um to see justice served. The victims and the survivors deserve justice. >> Good morning, Congresswoman Yasam
[2:41:40]andsari from Arizona's third district. I am grateful that we are here day two of these depositions with Secretary Clinton and President Bill Clinton. We've always said we will take answers from anyone
[2:41:51]and nobody is above congressional oversight, but let's be absolutely honest about something. If the Republicans want to be serious about this investigation and getting to the
[2:42:02]truth and accountability for perpetrators, then we have to look to the most powerful person in the United States and the world, which is President Donald Trump. He is mentioned in the
[2:42:13]Epstein files more than almost anyone. And just this week, incredibly damning reporting came out to say that there were credible allegations from a woman
[2:42:25]who said that she was abused by Donald Trump when she was a minor. The FBI investigated this and interviewed this individual multiple times. You do not do
[2:42:35]that if it is not serious. Further, we need to investigate the ongoing White House cover up. We know that the Department of Justice has been withholding files. They have been making
[2:42:46]illegal redactions. The FBI and Cash Patel have been lying under oath. All of these people need to be deposed before this committee. We need to take this
[2:42:57]investigation seriously. There are more than a thousand people who were harmed by Jeffrey Epstein, Galain Maxwell, and many other rich and powerful people,
[2:43:08]children whose lives were literally altered forever at the hands of this abuse. This is very serious and I think the fact that some of the Republicans on
[2:43:19]the oversight committee feel that it is appropriate to make statements to say that President Trump is somehow exonerated. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna said this last night. That is the
[2:43:30]most outrageous thing that I have ever heard. Donald Trump needs to come before this committee and we will not stop fighting until we get the truth and there's accountability and justice for
[2:43:41]the survivors. I'm Ro Kana from California. I want to echo what all of my colleagues said. A
[2:43:51]new president has been set in America today. Before this, we had the Trump rule. Trump defied, as all of you know, a congressional subpoena with the January 6th committee. He said
[2:44:02]presidents don't have to testify. Now, we have the Clinton rule, which is that presidents and their families have to testify when Congress issues a subpoena. And that means that Donald Trump needs
[2:44:13]to come before our committee and explain uh what he knew about Epstein and explain why we have not had a full release of the documents. We also need other people part of the Epstein class
[2:44:25]to come before this committee. If President Clinton can answer questions, many others need to as well. I was pleased to see Congresswoman Nancy Mace today calling for Howard Lutnik to come
[2:44:35]before our committee. I believe we will have the votes to subpoena him and uh we will work with ranking member Garcia to make sure that he comes before a committee next.
[2:44:46]>> A couple questions mentioning foreign Virginia never accused the former President Bill Clinton of wrongdoing but
[2:44:55]she did say that he visited Epste but the former president say he never went. You mentioned Howard several times. We know that he claimed to cut
[2:45:05]off ties with Epste but then visited the island. So who do you believe Virginia or President? >> Those questions are actually going to be asked today in this deposition. So we look forward to for those questions.
[2:45:16]Just a short time ago your Republican colleagues said that there was some type of exchange yesterday with the secretary where she was screaming. What is your
[2:45:25]characterization? I I I hope that the uh Republicans released the actual video unedited immediately because to say that the secretary was screaming uh I think
[2:45:37]is beyond a mischaracterization. What happened yesterday was a disgrace to be asking about UFOs, Pizzagate, conspiracy theories. You yourself are going to see the types of questions that she was
[2:45:48]asked to to to defend her husband, not directly to her, not information about her. I think it's I think they need to release the videos right now. You should
[2:45:57]all be let in uh in this immediately. >> You guys have talked often about the president being set by President Clinton appearing here today as it relates to President Trump. Is the way that
[2:46:08]President Clinton answers these questions today also setting a president if he evokes executive privilege or said he doesn't remember. Could that set the stage for President Trump to do a similar situation? I
[2:46:18]>> I think I think it was telling that uh Secretary Clinton did not take the fifth one time yesterday. She answered the questions. Uh that information needs to be released. I think it's important that President Clinton do the same. I think
[2:46:29]he will answer questions today. Uh I think that President Trump needs to man up, get in front of this committee and answer the questions and stop calling this investigation a hoax. And we've got
[2:46:40]to go in. Thank you. >> All right. While we wait for some fresh sound from either Republicans or Democrats, I do want to show you from yesterday Senate Democrats talking about
[2:46:50]the Epstein files. review the unredacted files in the coming days. Pam Bondi should listen carefully. The truth will come out. The
[2:47:01]whole ugly ugly truth about what she's doing to protect people in the files will come out. The whole world is going to know exactly what she knew when she
[2:47:10]knew it and what she did to cover it up. Democrats are going to hold Pam Bondi and everyone involved at the DOJ
[2:47:20]accountable for this cover up. Today, we are demanding that Department of Justice and the FBI preserve records on what transpired behind the scenes. We want to
[2:47:32]know who was involved in the decision to hide the truth. And a warning to the Trump cronies working on this. We will know if you are destroying documents and evidence. You will not outrun the law.
[2:47:43]You will not outrun the truth. This isn't political. The survivors deserve the truth and the American people are demanding it. Democrats and
[2:47:53]Republicans agree the American people deserve the truth. So, Donald Trump, stop hiding. Stop delaying. Come clean with the American people. And if you
[2:48:04]don't, Democrats will make sure the truth comes out. Our next speaker is Senator Durban. Thanks, Senator Schumer. With the
[2:48:21]Epstein files, the Trump administration had an opportunity to secure a win for survivors, for accountability, and for transparency. But after mishandling the
[2:48:32]files for a year, it took an act of Congress to force Pam Bondi and Cash Patel to even consider providing justice.
[2:48:42]Even after the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the Trump administration decided to violate federal law to protect the rich and powerful.
[2:48:53]The law required DOJ to produce the files by December 19th. Yet, the vast majority of those files were not produced until January 30th, 42 days
[2:49:04]later. Department of Justice has violated the legislation's protection for victims by publishing records without redacting personally identifiable information of
[2:49:15]victims, including nude photos where their names and faces could be identified. In sharp contrast, other produced records heavily redacted
[2:49:25]information identifying powerful business and political figures who are alleged conspirators or material witnesses to Epstein's crimes. Violations of the Epstein Files
[2:49:36]Transparency Act continue as the Department of Justice is yet to produce all Epstein related records required by law and has removed thousands of records
[2:49:46]from the website beyond those that inappropriately identify victims. Keep in mind mind a whistleblower told my office that FBI agents reviewing the
[2:49:58]Epstein files were instructed to flag any records that mentioned President Donald Trump. This disclosure is even more damning in light of yesterday's bombshell. The New York Times report
[2:50:10]that the Justice Department failed to disclose documents related to a woman who alleged that Trump sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Simply put, Pam Bondi and Cash Patel
[2:50:22]have mismanaged these records during their tenure in office. That is why as ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I'm joining our leadership Charles Schumer and a letter to the
[2:50:32]Justice Department and FBI requesting the preservation of records related to the management of the Epstein files over the course of the Trump administration. Preserving federal records and
[2:50:43]safeguarding information critical to congressional oversight is a legal obligation that all department employees are required to meet. As I told General Bondi during last year's judiciary
[2:50:55]committee oversight hearing, quote, "Eventually, you're going to have to answer for your conduct in this. You won't do it today, but eventually you
[2:51:03]will. The survivors deserve better. It's clear that Donald Trump and his Republican enablers are executing a cover up and conceal strategy. Heads are
[2:51:14]rolling at the highest levels of the United Kingdom. Will heads roll in the United States? When will the Trump administration come clean with the survivors and the American people? The
[2:51:24]sooner the better. Next, I believe Senator Bloom. Bloomfield can't make it. >> He's not here yet. He's in another hearing. Senator >> Senator Murphy, >> the Epstein Files Transparency Act that
[2:51:38]I introduced with Ben Ray Luhan in the Senate was crystal clear. No records shall be withheld, delayed, or redacted on the basis of any of the following: embarrassment, reputational harm,
[2:51:49]political sensitivity, including any government official, public figure, or foreign dignitary. Well, here we are. Those 99 days have passed and what we have seen is the
[2:52:01]files have not been released according to the law. We have seen that victims names and photos that were supposed to be redacted weren't redacted. And all kinds of
[2:52:12]redactions appear to have occurred for folks who are potential perpetrators. And we're seeing the Epstein files
[2:52:22]reverberate across the world. the prime minister of Norway, the former ambassador from Britain to the United
[2:52:32]States, King Charles brother. But what about here in the United States of America? Why is there no accountability here in the United States of America for these atrocious crimes, the place where
[2:52:43]they occurred? We know that there were about 6 million pages, of which only somewhat more than three million have been released. We want those other three million released.
[2:52:55]And among them are these 50 pages that entail, as the New York Times said, claims made in 2019 by a woman who came forward after Mr. Epstein's arrest to
[2:53:06]say she'd been sexually assaulted by both Mr. Trump and Epstein when she was 13 to 15 years old. And it goes on to say that there were four interviews
[2:53:18]with this woman and only one of those interviews was released. Where are the other three? Now we know the other three exist because they are in the index
[2:53:29]and yet the pages are missing. How can anyone justify that these interviews have not been released?
[2:53:39]So that is a massive cover up by this administration. It's a massive and unacceptable cover up. We also know from the Telegraph
[2:53:51]that there are six secret storage units rendered across the country by Epstein that may have contained information that the Department of Justice hasn't
[2:53:59]apparently attempted to retrieve. By unanimous consent, the Senate said, "Yes,
[2:54:08]we passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act." Senator Schumer came forward and tried to strengthen that act with some real penalties and the Republican whip
[2:54:19]objected. Well, if Republicans were with us on seeking full disclosure, why object to putting more teeth into this bill? We
[2:54:30]all together, Democrats and Republicans, should be saying yes on transparency for the public, yes on accountability for the perpetrators,
[2:54:42]and yes for the closest thing we can get to justice for the victims. >> Senator Ggo has been relentless on this issue. Senator,
[2:54:53]>> thank you. Um, as we stated, princes, CEOs, the most powerful men in the world are being held accountable everywhere except the United States where we are supposed to be a country of equal
[2:55:04]justice uh under the law. Uh, we are actually proving quite uh the opposite. You know what we're proving here right now, what the Republicans are proving right now with the help of Donald Trump
[2:55:14]and Attorney General Pam Bundy is that if you are part of the Epstein class, if you are rich enough, you are powerful enough, you can do some really horrific
[2:55:22]things, raping children, raping women, engaging in sex trafficking, and this administration, the Republicans will
[2:55:31]engage in an active cover up for you. And even more so now we getting we're getting even more reports of some real serious allegations of this president
[2:55:41]from a minor a woman who was a minor uh that is accusing the president of some very serious serious crimes. The American public deserves to know what happened, who was involved, not just
[2:55:52]President Trump, but everyone else involved. All these powerful men that are still walking around the United States right now. We're only talking about a couple years removed, a decade removed from a lot of these allegations.
[2:56:03]These men are still in power. These men are still potentially victimizing women, victimizing children. And the fact that this administration is actively covering
[2:56:14]up past crimes potentially means they're covering up current crimes. It's time for us to have full transparency. It's time for us to have accountability. It's time for us to throw some people in jail
[2:56:25]that did some really horrible stuff against kids in this country. And the fact that Donald Trump and the Republicans after talking a big game for se so many years about going after
[2:56:36]pedophiles are actively covering up for pedophiles right now should tell you exactly what is wrong with this administration. I unfortunately going to have to go read those uh
[2:56:47]redacted files uh next week. It's one of those things that you don't want to do. Uh the disgusting nature what I'm going to find on there is going to you know probably make me uh a very ill. But
[2:56:59]because we have an administration that's actively covering up pedophiles, uh we have to take this step and we have to take the step to keep them accountable and to expose all these pedophiles that
[2:57:10]are still in power right now all over this country. Thank you. And just one more point which this um this article from the New York Times shows more and
[2:57:22]more is keep more and more keeps coming out and the more we that comes out the more we see how large their coverup has been questions on this subject.
[2:57:32]>> But yes in the back >> Yeah. We're all going together. Yeah. I mentioned that in my remarks. Yes. >> Yeah. Yes. I I don't know if we're going
[2:57:43]to get We're all going and we have set up appointments to go. Yes. >> Leader Schumer, you asked for unanimous consent on the floor a few weeks ago with Baraso objective. What is your core
[2:57:54]strategy moving forward to kind of get Senate action on this? >> Well, the bottom line is the Republicans all voted for it, every single one. And we're going to keep at it. We're going to use every strategy we can going to
[2:58:05]the Justice Department seeking lawsuits as well as whatever legislative strategies will work. Yes. >> Clintons are being deposed starting
[2:58:15]today and tomorrow investigation. Just your general reaction. >> Look, all the truth should come out. Period. >> Yes. >> Thank you, Senator Schumer from the
[2:58:25]Italian. Just two quick questions. One, do you also see a difference in the treatment that this case has been in Europe and >> as my colleagues well outlined, I agree.
[2:58:36]Okay. Second question. How do you react to people who say that Democrats and Republicans are enacting a new form of basically judging guilty by association? Whoever is in the email.
[2:58:46]>> Yeah. All we want is the truth. The truth. >> There any danger? >> Is there any effort to reach out to the woman against President Trump? >> Uh uh there will be efforts to reach out
[2:58:57]to everyone who's willing to come forward and speak. And do you want to talk about that? Uh >> I think I mentioned my Yeah. >> Letter on preserving evidence and witnesses.
[2:59:08]>> Yeah. So we can get it. Yes. >> When you see the unredacted documents, what can the public expect from you to inform them? Can you do anything to inform them? >> Well, let's we we're not going to prejudge. Let's see what's in the
[2:59:20]documents. We want to protect people's identities, but we also want the truth to come out and we will walk that line uh with with with great vigor. >> Yes. >> Um there are an additional 3 million
[2:59:32]files that have not been released and many seems that the files that have been released remain redacted or have cars redacted. So what steps are you taking to ensure that those redactions are
[2:59:43]>> Yeah, we're going to demand justification for any redactions and if the redactions are coverups as opposed to protecting identities, we're going to get to the bottom of it. >> We're going to get to the bottom of it.
[2:59:54]Okay. Thank you everybody. >> Right, everyone. That was from
[3:00:04]yesterday. Just wanted to bring that to you as well here on Live Now from Fox. All right, we are getting a statement from the former president, Bill Clinton. Just like yesterday, the statement was
[3:00:15]put out by Hillary Clinton. Let's read for you right now uh former President Clinton's opening statement to the House Oversight and Government Reform
[3:00:27]Committee. It says, "Good morning. Welcome to Chapoqua. I'm here today for two reasons. The first is that I love my country and America was built upon the idea that no person is above the law,
[3:00:39]even presidents, especially presidents. Democracy requires every person to play their part. And I hope that by being here today, we can bring ourselves a
[3:00:48]little further away from the brink and uh back to being a country where we can disagree with one another civily, where the search for truth and justice outweighs the partisan urge to score
[3:01:00]points and create spectacle. I'll do my part and I hope you will do yours as well. The second reason I'm here is that the girls and women whose lives Jeffrey Epstein destroyed deserve not only
[3:01:12]justice but healing. They've been waiting too long for both. Though my brief acquaintance with Epstein ended years before his crimes came to light and thought I'd never witnessed during
[3:01:22]our limited interaction. It says, "And though I never witnessed during our limited interactions an indication of which was truly going on, I am here to offer what little I know so
[3:01:34]that it might prevent anything like this from ever happening again. But before we start, I have to get personal. You made Hillary come in. She had nothing to do
[3:01:44]with Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing. She has no memory of even meeting him. She neither traveled with him nor visited any of his properties. Whether you subpoena 10 people or 10,000, including
[3:01:55]her, was simply not right. We begin this hearing with me raising my hand and taking an oath to tell the truth. But everyone has a responsibility to be honest with
[3:02:06]those that they represent. Whether you raised your right hand or not, each and every one of us owes nothing less than the truth and accuracy to the American
[3:02:16]people. And it goes on to say, "Now, let me say what you're going to hear from me.
[3:02:27]First, I had no idea of the crimes uh Epstein was committing. No matter how many photos you show me, I have two things that at the end of the day matter more than your interpretation of those
[3:02:37]20 yearear-old photos. I know what I saw and more importantly what I didn't see. I know what I did and more importantly what I didn't do. I saw nothing and I did nothing wrong. As someone who grew
[3:02:49]grew up in a home with domestic abuse, not only would I have not flown on his plane, if I had any inkling of what he was doing, I would have turned him in
[3:02:59]myself and led the call for justice for his crimes, not sweetheart deals. But even with 2020 hindsight, I saw nothing that ever gave me pause. We are only
[3:03:09]here because he hid it from everyone so well for so long. And by the time it came to light with his 2008 guilty plea,
[3:03:19]I long stopped associating with him. You'll often hear me say that I don't recall. That might be unsatisfying, but I'm not going to say something I'm not
[3:03:28]sure of. This was all a long time ago, and I'm bound by my oath not to speculate or to guess. This is not merely for my benefit, but because it
[3:03:39]doesn't help you for me to play detective 24 years later. Since I am under oath, I will not falsely state that I am looking forward to your questions, but I am ready to answer them
[3:03:50]to the best of my abilities, consistent with the facts as I know them, the legitimate, the logical, and even the outlandish. With that, Mr. Chairman,
[3:03:59]fire away. So, that was the opening statement by the former President Bill Clinton. to pictures and correspondence between
[3:04:18]Epstein, Maxwell, and Bill Clinton. These are all questions that we're going to ask today. >> Yesterday, you both told me that you were planning on asking about an email that Howard Lutnik sent to Jeffrey
[3:04:29]Epste, I presume, about a Hillary Clinton fundraiser. I think that was the one. He's worth asking about. Is he not worth asking in to talk about what he might know? Yeah. Um, and I think it'll be
[3:04:40]interesting when we hopefully get that video out later today or or or demire as quick as we can get it out. I think it'll be interesting what Hillary Clinton said about Howard Letic >> and how she said it.
[3:04:50]>> And how she said it. We look I think that was Miss Mace. >> All right, everyone. I do want to just get out of this right now because we do have Representative Anna Paulina speaking right now with the House
[3:05:02]Republicans. Let's listen in. Couple more people.
[3:05:27]>> Yeah, you're fine. I >> think everyone hopped off to go to lunch. pools here, right?
[3:05:40]>> Pool's here. >> Okay. Yeah. >> Um All right. Well, first >> Okay. Don't stay in front of pool, please. Thank you. >> Um just first of all, a quick update. President Clinton is being very
[3:05:51]cooperative. Um I do want to point out because I have seen some back and forth in regards to some of the Democrats trying to call in not credible witnesses. And I won't get into the nature of what I've asked the president
[3:06:02]specifically until after the deposition is over. Um, but to be clear, we've had two witnesses or not two witnesses, two individuals um, one that accuses
[3:06:13]President Clinton of unfounded allegations um, of there being sex tapes, etc. by the name of Sarah Ransom. And there was a uh, an individual under the name of Katie Johnson that also had
[3:06:24]unfounded allegations of rape against our sitting president of the United States. both being um claims that did not have evidence for for grounds of that. And so just as we wouldn't call in
[3:06:35]an individual like Sarah Ransom who we know um made up claims, we're not going to do the same thing for President Trump. So I think to be able to um bring that up and conflate the two with this
[3:06:46]investigation is wrong. And and I want to be very clear on record, I don't believe that Sarah claims had valid claims against President Trump in regards to what she was uh President Clinton as in regards to what she was alleging. Um, just as I don't believe
[3:06:58]that there are valid claims against President Trump by the individual of the name of Katie Johnson, what I will say is it has become very evident even in the last 24 hours in lines of
[3:07:08]questioning that Jeffrey Epstein was running a intelligence gathering operation. In my professional opinion, I do believe it was a honeypot operation. And I do believe that there's a list of
[3:07:18]individuals who did engage in trafficking was given these plea deals. And I'm going to name those individuals right now. The first one would be Leslie Grath. The second one Sarah Kellen, the
[3:07:28]third one, Nadia Marova, and the fourth one, Adriana Ross. All of these women engaged trafficking uh engaged in the trafficking of minors as adults. They were working and complicit with Jeffrey
[3:07:39]Epstein's operation. And in my opinion, they are not to be given victim status because they did partake in harming harming young girls. Um, I remember seeing in some of the files some of
[3:07:51]these girls were, you know, as young as 10, 11 years old and older. And so, obviously, we have a lot of work to do, but I did want to come and give an update and let you know that President Clinton, as of right now, is cooperative
[3:08:03]and answering answering all of our questions. Um, and that it leads me to believe that if we can remove the partisan nature of this investigation, we actually might be able to get justice. And so I will be calling on the
[3:08:14]um the oversight committee to bring in those four individuals that I just listed. We will continue to conduct the investigation and provide updates shortly for all of you. What has the former president said to the committee
[3:08:26]about >> um I can't get into the specifics of the deposition because it's still currently
[3:08:36]going on but again he's being very cooperative and I think that that statement is pretty on point with what we're hearing
[3:08:44]>> is uh former president saying anything >> we will provide updates as soon as it's over. I don't want to um violate the
[3:08:55]trust that we have right now in the depositions, but I do think that we are at least getting a little bit more of a clearer picture. And I will say I'm not in favor and if there is a request to
[3:09:06]bring in an individual who's made false allegations against President Clinton. Um I will be voting that down in committee just as I will be voting down any individuals that are brought forward that have made false claims against President Trump. I do think that there
[3:09:17]is a bit of partisan um smear attempts in this whole investigation, but it's important to note that Jeffrey Epste does have all of the telltale signs of an intelligence gathering operation. I think we all know that. Um I do believe
[3:09:29]that because of the people in power and influence, specifically presidents, etc. that he was targeting that there is an aspect of, you know, um foreign governments trying to pit some of us
[3:09:40]against against each other using this topic. And so we're more focused on that as well as bringing justice to the victims. And there is no justice when traffickers are given plea deals. And so we'll be following up on that as well.
[3:09:52]>> Congressman, I know you seem cooperative. Do you believe his statement when he said, "I saw nothing and I did nothing wrong." >> Um, I'm going to go back in and what I
[3:10:02]will say is that I I don't have any reason to believe right now that he's hiding the ball and everything. He's been pretty transparent. And is it your belief andor the committee's belief that
[3:10:12]uh the former president was targeted by Jeffrey Jeffrey Epste on behalf of >> I it is in my opinion I don't think the opinion of the committee but I do
[3:10:24]believe that Jeffrey Epste was targeting many politicians um many influential people especially in regards to economic policy etc. And I do believe that it was possible that not just him, but likely
[3:10:35]Secretary Clinton as well as a number of other people were targeted um due to an intelligence gathering operation. I think the American people will agree with me on that. But again, I don't want to get into too much of the specifics of the deposition. And I will be able to
[3:10:46]tell you at least once this is over and we will be also trying to release those recordings from Secretary's deposition yesterday as well as President Clinton's as soon as possible. Thank you guys.
[3:10:57]>> All right. Representative Anna Paulina there uh giving the latest updates right here for you on live now from Fox again. Representative Anna Paulina Luna giving
[3:11:08]the latest updates from the Republican side as uh they are in now the lunch period. We're going to continue on with more on Live Now from Fox >> Maxwell and Bill Clinton. These are all
[3:11:24]questions that we're going to ask today. Yesterday you both told me that you were planning on asking about an email that Howard Lutnik sent to Jeffrey Epste I presume about a Hillary Clinton fundraiser. I think that was the one.
[3:11:35]But he's worth asking about. Is he not worth asking in to talk about what he might know? >> Yeah. Um and I think it'll be interesting when we hopefully get that video out later today or or or Demar as
[3:11:47]quick as we can get it out. I think it'll be interesting what Hillary Clinton said about Howard Lutnik >> and how she said it >> and how she said it. We look I think that was Miss Mace uh with the line of questioning. So there was a pretty
[3:11:59]thorough line of questioning yesterday between Miss Mace and uh Miss Clinton with respect to Lutnik. And I I think you all find it very interesting what she had to say. But but we're going to
[3:12:09]continue to uh you know ask questions of of everyone that's that shows up in photos on the island and things like that. >> I'll ask for the secretary. Mr. Chair, >> I will be asking for him. Yes, >> you will. >> Go ahead.
[3:12:21]>> Uh thank you, Mr. Chair. Obviously, we heard from Secretary Clinton after her deposition. She described the session as repetitive. She said it veered off topics. She was asked about things like
[3:12:32]UFOs, pizza gate. Can you explain why those topics were brought up? And also in light of the release of that photo >> and she also said there were substantive questions yesterday, too. One reason
[3:12:44]there were repetitive questions about Epstein is because we went through every email and every correspondence that implied uh Hillary Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein communicated often. You all have
[3:12:55]seen the email where he said uh that she looks better in person and all of that. Those were questions we asked. So every every item of evidence that would suggest
[3:13:06]Hillary Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein had a close relationship, we went and asked about that. So, it may have seemed repetitive because there was a lot of documentation that would suggest that
[3:13:18]>> she had a relationship with Epstein. So, go ahead. >> To be clear, um, uh, Secretary Clinton actually asked about the NDAA. Sorry. Go ahead. >> Um, to be clear, Secretary Clinton actually asked us about what happened
[3:13:29]with the disclosure language in the NDAA. So, I mean, I know she's trying to pivot from the fact that she's here and she had a very close relationship regarding the Clinton Foundation and Epstein and Maxwell, but the point is is
[3:13:40]and I think I'd like to uh hit on this with probably Miss Mace here. Um, but I think we have a very important interest and curiosity about what specifically the co-conspirators had a role in all
[3:13:51]this, right? Um, we know for a fact that some of these were women and I think that today, at least with my line of questioning, um, you know, I'm curious about that. Why is it that these women were given plea deals as adults for
[3:14:01]trafficking minors? Um, how much of that did they witness, etc. And so, you know, I I don't know that Secretary Clinton was all that honest about the context of this investigation. We asked extensively
[3:14:12]about intelligence ties, whether or not she felt that she was targeted as a result of possibly an intelligence gathering operation, and she was very curiously interested in that, and then also um you'll hear it in the response,
[3:14:24]but had told us to follow up with a few countries, one of which is our ally. So, that's interesting. >> And I think I think Miss Miss Luna brought up a good point about the
[3:14:33]Clinton Foundation. There's so many uh examples in the evidence the Department of Justice released in correspondence where Epstein bragged about how involved
[3:14:43]he was initially in setting up the Clinton Global Initiative and the Clinton Foundation. We asked those questions to Secretary Clinton yesterday and and she kept saying, "Well, she was
[3:14:53]in the Senate at that time. She wasn't focused on it. You'll have to ask my husband." So, a lot of the Clinton Global Initiative questions yesterday went unanswered because Miss Clinton deferred to her husband. So, we'll ask
[3:15:04]we'll do one more question. Annie, Annie, go ahead. >> It's our understanding that you guys asked Secretary Clinton yesterday about photos of her husband in the Epste. What was her reaction when you showed photos,
[3:15:15]for example, of her her husband in the jacuzzi that we've seen? >> I'm going to let >> I'm going to let Miss Mace answer that, but we're on TV. >> Okay. I I'm not going to say anything.
[3:15:25]Uh, no. uh she didn't want to answer any questions about any of that and deferred most of those if not all of those questions to her husband and he will be
[3:15:34]thoroughly uh asked about that today. Um you know what did he know? What do he know? What did he see? Um because there are other people who've come forward publicly like Kevin Spacy who thought all of this was very strange and
[3:15:45]actually a very high risk for a president of the United States or former president. It's all very bizarre. Um, but I asked her very pointed questions and you'll see that in the transcript in the video that comes out and you'll see
[3:15:56]how she responded um uh as well screaming >> and and and and we'll close with this. We're going to we're going to get the video out as quickly as it we can get it
[3:16:08]uploaded and the sound and everything from yesterday. So, uh this is for all practical purposes a public deposition. The the American people are going to see it. I I I've heard C-SPAN's going to air
[3:16:18]it wire towire. Uh, so everyone's going to see what was asked yesterday and I think that'll answer a lot of questions, especially with Lutnik and and other things like that. Throughout the day, we'll try to send different members out
[3:16:29]to to give you brief updates. We don't want to uh uh >> disclose what's going on in the in the deposition specifically until after at the conclusion. But we'll keep you
[3:16:41]updated and we appreciate everyone being here and look forward to uh updating you throughout the day. >> M, what do you mean that Hillary Clinton was screaming? She was unhinged and I hope that President Clinton is uh less unhinged today than his wife was
[3:16:53]yesterday. You'll see it. >> Why do you think she had a relationship? >> Why do you think she had a relationship with >> Well, he was basically instrumental or former president. It's all very
[3:17:03]bizarre. Um but I asked her very pointed questions and you'll see that in the transcript in the video that comes out and you'll see how she responded. Um uh as well screaming.
[3:17:15]All right, that was the House Republicans before the deposition started for Bill Clinton. Now, I want to show you House Democrats speaking just
[3:17:24]before everything got going. >> Right. Thank you all uh for being here
[3:17:39]today. I'm Robert Garcia. the ranking member uh leader of the oversight committee for Democrats and we're going to make some brief comments. Uh everyone's got a few brief remarks and then we're going to start the
[3:17:48]deposition. Uh want to just begin by um just saying that what we're interested in today is a serious deposition. We have real questions that deserve serious
[3:18:00]answers from former President Clinton. And we have said from day one that Democrats want to talk to anyone whether they are a Republican or a Democrat, no matter how powerful they are, whatever
[3:18:12]position that they've been in, if anyone has information about Jeffrey Epstein and certainly the horror that he inflicted on so many women and children,
[3:18:21]we want to hear from them. What we do not want today is a sideshow and questions about UFOs or about conspiracy
[3:18:32]theories from decades ago, which is what unfortunately happened yesterday when a series of bizarre questions were asked of Secretary Clinton. And Secretary
[3:18:42]Secretary Clinton was clear. She never met Jeffrey Epstein. She never went on the island. She was never on the plane. And she had no knowledge, of course, of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes.
[3:18:53]Want to also add that there are a lot of questions today whether they're about Epson's finances, about survivors, about foreign intelligence that we look forward to asking in a way that's
[3:19:04]serious and dignified and we hope Republicans do the same. I also want to add one other thing which I think is really important. Republicans have now set a new president
[3:19:15]which is to bring in presidents and former presidents to testify. So, we're once again going to make that call that we did yesterday. We are now asking and
[3:19:24]demanding that President Trump officially come in and testify in front of the oversight committee. He appears in the Epstein files next to next to
[3:19:35]Jeffrey Epste and Galain Maxwell almost more than anybody else. So, it's time for the president to answer questions about why files are missing from the DOJ, why there's been a White House
[3:19:45]cover up and why we continue in that administration to call this investigation a hoax. And finally, I'll review the call that we made yesterday that we are demanding
[3:19:57]again that the press and the public be allowed inside these depositions so that you can hear the answers and the questions directly. And if that's not going to happen, they need to release a
[3:20:08]full unedited review of the questions and video within 24 hours of the end of these depositions. That means the Secretary
[3:20:18]Clinton deposition needs to be released immediately today. And with that, I'll pass it along to Mr. Fost. >> Thank you so much. Today, we're here to
[3:20:27]conduct a serious investigation. And um it is obvious that our Republican colleagues, at least yesterday, we're not here to do the same thing. We've said it many times and we'll continue to
[3:20:37]say it again. We will hear from anyone. We don't care who you are. We just want the truth. All of us have met with the survivors. All of us looked him in the
[3:20:47]eyes and promised them that we would see this thing through the end and do it in a serious way, asking questions about UAPs, UFOs. As interested as I am in the
[3:20:56]subject, too, it it has nothing to do with this investigation. Don't waste our time. Don't waste the time of survivors who have been waiting and waiting for
[3:21:06]justice. Now, finally, the government is paying attention. Members of Congress are paying attention. Stay focused on the matter at hand. We're also calling out the hypocrisy of
[3:21:17]our Republican colleagues who, yes, we're here to talk with President Clinton today. We'll talk with anyone. But how come people like Howard Ludnik see it seems like they don't want to talk with him? They don't want to talk
[3:21:27]with the president. They want to they don't want to call in Pam Bondi who has done everything that she can do to cover up and to slow down our investigation. A
[3:21:38]law passed by Congress damn near damn near unanimously that she's done everything she can to slow down the release of the files and even when they're released. And they said members of Congress would be able to go to the
[3:21:49]Department of Justice to view them unredacted. I know all of us, if not most of us, have gone in there and seen files that are still redacted and not given a proper explanation as to why we
[3:22:00]can't view them. We know the Department of Justice has deleted things having to do with Donald Trump, has deleted things having to do with Howard Lnik and people connected to the administration. We know
[3:22:12]that Pam Bondi has been spying on members of Congress as we've been trying to conduct our legitimate oversight responsibilities. So, we're here to see this through. We're here because we know
[3:22:24]that this is about justice for the survivors. But justice also means that this never happens again. That's why this investigation is so important. We don't want this failure of government,
[3:22:34]this failure of elite billionaires getting away with a different system of justice. We don't want this to happen again. And that's why we're here today. We are serious about this. And my hope is that my Republican colleagues who say
[3:22:46]they're serious about it back it up with action. Not just with the questions you ask here today, but what you do from here on out. It's not about party. It's about this nation. It's about protecting
[3:22:57]our most vulnerable people. Thank you. >> We have a couple more. >> Good afternoon. I'm James Walkenshaw from Virginia's 11th district. I am glad that President Clinton is going to sit
[3:23:08]down today with us and answer questions under oath. Anybody who had a significant relationship with Jeffrey Epstein should explain what, if
[3:23:20]anything, and when they knew about the crimes that were being committed. President Clinton's sworn statement said that he had no knowledge of the crimes that were committed. And I know that
[3:23:32]we're committed to asking tough questions about that today. But President Clinton's presence here today under oath highlights the Donald
[3:23:43]Trumpsized gaping hole in Chairman Comr's investigation. President Trump has mentioned tens of thousands of times in the files. We
[3:23:55]learned in recent days that files related to an accusation made against President Trump have been removed, not released to the public in the files. And
[3:24:05]this investigation will not be complete until we bring President Trump in to answer questions under oath. I'm hopeful that Chairman Comr will have the courage
[3:24:15]to move us in that direction. Thank you. I'm Congressman Sua Ceremonium from Virginia's 10th district. Uh we're going to ask President Clinton the hard questions today. We're going to get to
[3:24:26]the truth about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Uh but let's be real, we are talking to the wrong president today. President Trump is the one who released two and a half million files.
[3:24:37]President Trump is the one who is blocking our investigation. President Trump is the one who wants this to go away. But it will not go away. And so yes, we will talk to President Clinton today. But moving forward, this needs to
[3:24:48]be not about party, but about getting to the truth and getting justice for the survivors. >> Congressman Wesley Bell here. I'm sorry
[3:24:58]these glasses go dark on me. Um, first and foremost, I think what is getting lost in much of this is that this is about justice for the victims and the
[3:25:08]survivors. And we can't forget that. This is not political theater, which um Republicans seem to be interested in. This is about getting to the bottom of
[3:25:19]exactly what happened and holding those um responsible accountable. And that's exactly what we're here to do. And so we're going to continue to uh keep
[3:25:30]pushing Republicans to do the right thing. We need to see anyone who has information with respect to um um the
[3:25:40]Epstein files or this sex trafficking, they need to be brought before um this committee and we need to have a serious investigation. And I and I've said it
[3:25:50]before as a former prosecutor. I've led these types of investigations and this has not been a serious investigation by any stretch of the imagination. The
[3:26:00]American people want um to see justice served. The victims and the survivors deserve justice. >> All right, that was House Democrats
[3:26:14]earlier. Now I want to go out live though. We do have Representative Comr speaking. Let's listen in. where the minority had an hour. We will break for 10 minutes. Then the majority will go
[3:26:25]back for our second hour which will be the third total hour. Uh that might be the halfway point. After that I that's yet to be determined. But uh just wanted to mention something because I know
[3:26:36]there's a lot of obsession about President Trump from the media. A lot of curiosity about President Trump from the media. Uh, I want to make a statement
[3:26:46]because they'll probably not mention this when they come out here. Ranking member Garcia asked President Clinton, quote, "Should uh should President Trump
[3:26:57]be called to answer questions from this committee?" And President Clinton said, "That's for you to decide." And the president went on to say that uh the
[3:27:07]President Trump has never said anything to me uh to make me think he was involved. and he met with Epstein. So just I know
[3:27:16]there's a lot of curiosity about President Trump. I thought that was an interesting thing that President Clinton said. So I'll let the Democrats have the podium and they can answer your questions. But we'll we'll come back at
[3:27:28]the conclusion, the majority will and we'll answer all your questions. Thank you. >> All right, just a little bit there from
[3:27:40]Representative Comr. Let's continue our coverage on Live Now. transcript will be out. We've asked that they be out as quickly as possible and
[3:27:49]then you can see >> all right. So that was from uh yesterday of course right after the uh long day
[3:28:00]testimony. >> All right now from we had the Republican representative Coburn now Democrats. Let's listen in >> above the law. And he made it clear that
[3:28:11]it was perfectly appropriate for the committee to call him and ask him tough questions about what happened. He also made it clear that it was totally
[3:28:21]inappropriate for this committee to call Secretary Clinton. That's why personally I didn't even show up yesterday. I thought it was outrageous the way they treated Secretary Clinton. She has nothing to do with that this. But
[3:28:31]President Clinton uh answered the questions. I think you'll see when we uh have the deposition that our side put the survivors first. We had our members,
[3:28:42]our uh lawyers ask questions to get the basic facts uh and uh asked difficult questions and the president uh
[3:28:52]answered and it was civil and he set the tone in my view uh for the president that the president President Trump needs to now come and ask these answer these
[3:29:03]questions that Howard Lutnik needs to answer these questions that other people part of the Epstein class who've been in these files needs to need to come before this committee and ask these questions and then that's the only way we're going
[3:29:14]to have accountability and healing. Now we'll turn it over to our ranking member, ranking member Garcia. >> I'm just going to introduce folks. I'll make some comments at the end. I'm going to introduce other members. First we
[3:29:23]have is Congresswoman Emily Randall. >> Thank you. As you heard, um, President Clinton in his opening statement said that America was built on the idea that
[3:29:34]no person is above the law. Even presidents, especially presidents, and the Democratic members of the oversight committee feel the same. No one is above the law. And anyone with knowledge of
[3:29:45]Jeffrey Epstein's crimes should absolutely come before the committee to give testimony about what they saw or did, who was there, who was involved.
[3:29:54]Survivors like Charlene Rashard, who is my State of the Union guest, deserve the accountability and the truth. The American people deserve accountability
[3:30:04]and truth. That means a complete release of the files and cooperation, not obstruction, from Pam Bondi. And it means testimony on the record from
[3:30:14]anyone with information, whether that's Howard Lundick, Bill Gates, Larry Summers, and yes, even and especially Donald Trump. Congressman
[3:30:26]Stanbury. >> All right. Well, good afternoon everyone. I am Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury and I am deeply proud to represent New Mexico's first congressional district where our state
[3:30:37]has taken action where the federal government has failed. We have reopened an investigation through our state attorney general into the crimes committed by Jeffrey Epstein and his
[3:30:47]associates in New Mexico as well as passed the first state level truth commission in this case ever passed in the history of the United States. We will be working very closely to make
[3:30:58]sure that the state is able to make a full accounting of the crimes in New Mexico. With regards to today's deposition, I want to be clear at the
[3:31:08]outset that President Clinton, as of today, has not been accused of a crime. There are not public files available
[3:31:18]that accuse him of a crime, whereas there are publicly available documents that do
[3:31:28]allege a crime of President Trump. But it is very well established that President Clinton had a relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and Galain Maxwell.
[3:31:38]And we are treating this investigation extraordinarily seriously. And when you see the recorded deposition, you will see that we asked all of the hard questions, centering the survivors,
[3:31:50]making sure that we get to the bottom of where there are discrepancies in the record, and understanding how not only the crimes that Jeffrey Epstein committed could go on, but why there was
[3:32:02]a culture that surrounded him wherein the rich and powerful turned a blind eye. And with that, I turn it back to our ranking member. Hello everybody, Congressman Maxwell
[3:32:12]Frost. Uh, first off, I I just a thank you to President Clinton for coming here today to speak with us um answering these questions. It's been helpful for us as we will continue this
[3:32:23]investigation. Donald Trump, as we know, needs to come before this committee. He's been caught in multiple lies as it relates to his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. I can tell you I've seen
[3:32:33]unredacted files myself that directly refute his assertion that he kicked out Jeffrey Epstein um out of Mara Lago and the reasoning why he did that. Also, walking out of this, I can tell you we
[3:32:44]all now have a lot of new questions that we have to raise as it relates to the reasoning on why Jeff why uh Donald Trump uh uh had a falling out with
[3:32:55]Jeffrey Epste in the first place. Another thing is that I saw about an hour ago Donald Trump in a press conference said that Howard Lutnik is quote a very innocent guy. Donald Trump
[3:33:06]has asserted many times that he knew nothing of Epstein's crimes. If he doesn't know anything about Epstein's crimes, how can he know for sure that Howard Lutnik is quote a very innocent
[3:33:16]guy? We have questions for him. And I think what today is showing and what yesterday is showing is of course no one's above the law. That includes the president of the United States. And my hope is that our Republican colleagues
[3:33:27]as we walk out of here today and go back to DC will join us in making sure that we can hear from Howard Lutnik, from Pam Bondi, and from President Trump. >> Good afternoon, Congresswoman Yasamsari
[3:33:41]representing Arizona's third district. I think today was a historic day for transparency in the United States of America. the fact that we have the pre former president of the United States,
[3:33:51]Bill Clinton under oath uh speaking to the oversight committee and answering questions in a transparent manner is critical. I look forward to the
[3:34:01]Republican majority uh listening to our demands of having the transcripts and the videos unedited of both depositions, today's and yesterday's, released immediately because the American public
[3:34:13]deserves to hear and see these answers for themselves. And ultimately this demonstrates that nobody is above the law. And my top concern at this moment
[3:34:24]is the ongoing White House cover up. It is deeply concerning that we are seeing a very coordinated machine from the president of the United States continuously repeating that he has been
[3:34:35]exonerated. He just repeated that today to members of the the Republican party on the oversight committee repeating that lie as well. There are very
[3:34:44]credible allegations that have been looked into and investigated by the FBI that the Department of Justice is illegally withholding. Please do not
[3:34:55]stop asking about this. Why is the DOJ continuing to defy the Epstein Files Transparency Act by refusing to release the full Epstein Files by illegally
[3:35:06]withholding information by deleting photos and videos of people like Howard Lutnik? This is unacceptable. Donald Trump must be deposed immediately in front of this committee as do many
[3:35:17]senior level officials from this administration. And Congressman Suas Zmonium from Virginia. Uh if there was any doubt before today that oversight Democrats
[3:35:28]are treating this investigation in a nonpartisan way, it'll be put to rest when the transcripts come out. We've been asking uh the foreign president the hard questions. To his credit, he has answered every single question. He's not
[3:35:40]taking the Fifth Amendment. uh he's been actually quite comfortable and he's actually given very long deliberate answers to all these questions and so uh we appreciate the the former president being here today and we would like to
[3:35:51]see the current president come before us as well and give the same kind of transparency uh that President Clinton has gave given us today and we're going to continue to demand the release of the files and continue to demand
[3:36:01]transparency of this administration. Uh, two quick points. Wesley Bell, Congressman, Missouri's first district.
[3:36:10]Um, first and foremost, uh, President Clinton, um, came here and answered tough questions. Um, I think the victims and survivors, the American public
[3:36:22]deserve those um deserve a serious investigation because thus far what we're seeing from Republicans is a very non-serious
[3:36:33]um as one of my uh colleagues referred to it as a clown show. um and having led serious investigations, I I can't
[3:36:42]disagree when we hear um members from the other other side coming into a deposition with conclusions, get no evidence to support those conclusions
[3:36:54]and then announce to the world that these conclusions must be true. That is unprofessional. It's unethical. And at the end of the day, what we're trying to do is get to the bottom of what actually
[3:37:06]happened so that we can hold hold any offenders accountable. Um, Democrats are doing that. The president and uh, former first lady have done that. And now it's
[3:37:16]time for President Trump to do the exact same thing under oath. Not when you can just make statements randomly on X or Truth Social, but under oath where your
[3:37:27]right hand is in the air and there are consequences if you don't tell the truth. And so we're going to continue to push for transparency. We're going to continue to push for justice because that's what the American people and the
[3:37:38]survivors deserve. I think I'll just make a couple brief comments, then I'll answer one or two questions and then um the deposition right now is on a break and so we'll reconvene. there'll be some additional
[3:37:48]hours of questioning by both the Democratic side and the Republican side as the afternoon goes on. Uh I want to just reiterate a couple things that are that have been made which are important.
[3:37:58]Uh the first is that uh we are thankful that President Clinton came in and answered tough questions uh from both the minority party and the majority
[3:38:08]party. We also think it's important to note that and he made some of these statements in his opening statement. He made it clear once again that he does not understand, nor do we, why we spent
[3:38:20]so much time yesterday grilling Secretary Clinton when she obviously had no knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein and had never met Jeffrey Epstein. We also want
[3:38:31]to reiterate, and I want to think it's important for us to know our call yesterday. Because of transparency, it is so important that we continue to release both Secretary Clinton's
[3:38:42]deposition and President Clinton's deposition. Both of the Clintons are committed to these records getting out as soon as
[3:38:51]possible, and oversight Democrats agree the best way of going forward is for there be transparency and a full public record. And we're demanding that that
[3:39:01]record not be edited, but just a full recording of what transpired yesterday and what will continue to transpire today through the course of the day. And
[3:39:11]finally, let me just also say once again that we have a new president in this country where we can now demand president and former presidents to testify in front of the oversight
[3:39:21]committee. So, we are once again demanding that now President Trump, who is in the Epstein files, almost more than anyone else besides Galain Maxwell,
[3:39:31]answer our questions. This is not a hoax. He has not been exonerated. And we have serious questions for President Trump. And with that, launch a couple questions.
[3:39:43]>> Chairman just came out in you as President Clinton if he thought President Trump should come and testify and Comr said President Clinton's
[3:39:54]response was that it was for you to decide and the president and Clinton went on to say that President Trump has never said anything to him to make him think he was involved. Now, obviously, we don't have the transcript of that position, but I would love >> I I uh >> and what
[3:40:06]>> Yeah, I think I think the best response to that is for you to to view the complete record of what actually he said, which um look, we're not going to disclose what was said because it's not
[3:40:15]in the rules. Uh the Republicans keep breaking the rules, but I think to what to what Mr. Frost said earlier there was uh I think that the president President
[3:40:26]Clinton did bring up some additional information about some discussions with President Trump. I think that the way Chairman Comr described it I don't think is a complete accurate description of what actually was said. So let's release
[3:40:38]the full transcript so you can get all get a full record of what actually was said which brings up some very important new questions about comments that President Trump has actually said in the
[3:40:48]past. Any other questions? Yes. member I know in the former president's statement he says that there may be
[3:40:58]times where he says he can't call that I know you can't really give a lot of details about what was said in the deposition but how would you characterize you say he's being cooperative is he answering the majority
[3:41:08]of questions or a lot of his resp I think everybody would agree that he's been very cooperative and he's actually answering the questions um fairly I mean to the best of his ability there's he
[3:41:19]has not taken a pass on on pleading the fifth for any questions. He's been very thorough. He's been asked some questions uh multiple times over. I think you'll see that in the transcript. So, he's
[3:41:30]been very cooperative and uh in fact is I don't think he's given any sense that he's been uncomfortable to be there. In fact, I think he's been um he's been pretty interested in answering I think
[3:41:41]all the questions of both the Republicans and the Democrats. With that, we're going to wrap up. Everyone's going on a break and then we'll continue. Thank you very much for the president today.
[3:41:51]Angel, anything you want to say? >> Who know? I feel good. >> Awesome.
[3:42:31]and she knew it and what she did to cover it up. Democrats are going to hold Pam Bondi and everyone involved at the
[3:42:40]DOJ accountable for this cover up. Today, we are demanding that Department of Justice and the FBI preserve records
[3:42:50]on what transpired behind the scenes. We want to know who was involved in the decision to hide the truth. And a warning to the Trump cronies working on this. We will know if you are destroying documents and evidence. You will not
[3:43:02]outrun the law. You will not outrun the truth. This isn't political. The survivors deserve the truth and the American
[3:43:12]people are demanding it. Democrats and Republicans agree the American people deserve the truth. So, Donald Trump, stop hiding. Stop delaying. Come clean
[3:43:23]with the American people. And if you don't, Democrats will make sure the truth comes out. Our next speaker is
[3:43:32]Senator Durban. Thanks, Senator Schumer. With the
[3:43:42]Epstein files, the Trump administration had an opportunity to secure a win for survivors, for accountability, and for transparency. But after mishandling the
[3:43:53]files for a year, it took an act of Congress to force Pam Bondi and Cash Patel to even consider providing justice.
[3:44:03]Even after the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the Trump administration decided to violate federal law to protect the rich and powerful.
[3:44:14]The law required DOJ to produce the files by December 19th. Yet, the vast majority of those files were not produced until January 30th, 42 days
[3:44:25]later. Department of Justice has violated the legislation's protection for victims by publishing records without redacting personally identifiable information of
[3:44:36]victims, including nude photos where their names and faces could be identified. In sharp contrast, other produced records heavily redacted
[3:44:46]information identifying powerful business and political figures who are alleged conspirators or material witnesses to Epstein's crimes. Violations of the Epstein Files
[3:44:58]Transparency Act continue as the Department of Justice has yet to produce all Epstein related records required by law and has removed thousands of records
[3:45:07]from the website beyond those that inappropriately identify victims. Keep in w mind a whistleblower told my office that FBI agents reviewing the
[3:45:19]Epstein files were instructed to flag any records that mentioned President Donald Trump. This disclosure is even more damning in light of yesterday's bombshell. The New York Times report
[3:45:31]that the Justice Department failed to disclose documents related to a woman who alleged that Trump sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Simply put, Pam Bondi and Cash Patel
[3:45:43]have mismanaged these records during their tenure in office. That is why as ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I'm joining our leadership Charles Schumer and a letter to the
[3:45:53]Justice Department and FBI requesting the preservation of records related to the management of the Epstein files over the course of the Trump administration. Preserving federal records and
[3:46:04]safeguarding information critical to congressional oversight is a legal obligation that all department employees are required to meet. As I told General Bondi during last year's judiciary
[3:46:16]committee oversight hearing, quote, "Eventually, you're going to have to answer for your conduct in this. You won't do it today, but eventually you
[3:46:24]will. The survivors deserve better. It's clear that Donald Trump and his Republican enablers are executing a cover up and conceal strategy. Heads are
[3:46:35]rolling at the highest levels of the United Kingdom. Will heads roll in the United States? When will the Trump administration come clean with the survivors and the American people? The
[3:46:45]sooner the better. Next, I believe Senator Bloom Bloom can't make it. >> He's not here yet. He's got another hearing. Senator Murphy, >> the Epstein Files Transparency Act that
[3:46:59]I introduced with Ben Ray Luhan in the Senate was crystal clear. No records shall be withheld, delayed, or redacted on the basis of any of the following: embarrassment, reputational harm,
[3:47:10]political sensitivity, including any government official, public figure, or foreign dignitary. Well, here we are. Those 99 days have passed and what we have seen is the
[3:47:22]files have not been released according to the law. We have seen that victims names and photos that were supposed to be redacted weren't redacted. And all
[3:47:32]kinds of redactions appear to have occurred for folks who are potential perpetrators. And we're seeing the Epstein files
[3:47:43]reverberate across the world. the prime minister of Norway, the former ambassador from Britain to the United
[3:47:53]States, King Charles brother. But what about here in the United States of America? Why is there no accountability here in the United States of America for these atrocious crimes, the place where
[3:48:04]they occurred? We know that there were about 6 million pages, of which only somewhat more than three million have been released. We want those other three million released.
[3:48:16]And among them are these 50 pages that entail, as the New York Times said, claims made in 2019 by a woman who came forward after Mr. Epstein's arrest to
[3:48:27]say she'd been sexually assaulted by both Mr. Trump and Epstein when she was 13 to 15 years old. And it goes on to say that there were four interviews
[3:48:38]with this woman and only one of those interviews was released. Where are the other three? Now we know the other three exist because they are in the index
[3:48:50]and yet the pages are missing. How can anyone justify that these interviews have not been released?
[3:49:00]So that is a massive cover up by this administration. It's a massive and unacceptable cover up. We also know from the Telegraph
[3:49:12]that there are six secret storage units rented across the country by Epstein that may have contained information that the Department of Justice hasn't
[3:49:20]apparently attempted to retrieve. By unanimous consent, the Senate said yes,
[3:49:29]we passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Senator Schumer came forward and tried to strengthen that act with some real penalties and the Republican whip
[3:49:40]objected. Well, if Republicans were with us on seeking full disclosure, why object to putting more teeth into this bill? We
[3:49:51]all together, Democrats and Republicans, should be saying yes on transparency for the public, yes on accountability for
[3:50:01]the perpetrators, and yes for the closest thing we can get to justice for the victims. >> Senator Ggo has been relentless on this
[3:50:11]issue. Senator, >> thank you. Um, as we stated, princes, CEOs, the most powerful men in the world are being held accountable everywhere except the United States where we are
[3:50:23]supposed to be a country of equal justice uh under the law. U we are actually proving quite uh the opposite. You know what we're proving here right now, what the Republicans are proving right now with the help of Donald Trump
[3:50:34]and Attorney General Pam Bondi is that if you are part of the Epstein class, if you are rich enough, you are powerful enough, you can do some really horrific
[3:50:43]things, raping children, raping women, engaging in sex trafficking, and this administration, the Republicans will
[3:50:52]engage in an active cover up for you. And even more so now we getting we're getting more reports of some real serious allegations of this president
[3:51:02]from a minor a woman who was a minor uh that is accusing the president of some very serious serious crimes. The American public deserves to know what happened, who was involved, not just
[3:51:13]President Trump, but everyone else involved. All these powerful men that are still walking around the United States right now. We're only talking about a couple years removed a decade removed from a lot of these allegations.
[3:51:24]These men are still in power. These men are still potentially victimizing women, victimizing children. And the fact that this administration is actively covering
[3:51:35]up past crimes potentially means they're covering up current crimes. It's time for us to have full transparency. It's time for us to have accountability. It's time for us to throw some people in jail
[3:51:46]that did some really horrible stuff against kids in this country. And the fact that Donald Trump and the Republicans after talking a big game for se so many years about going after
[3:51:57]pedophiles are actively covering up for pedophiles right now should tell you exactly what is wrong with this administration. I unfortunately am going to have to go read those uh
[3:52:08]redacted files uh next week. It's one of those things that you don't want to do. Uh the disgusting nature what I'm going to find on there is going to you'll probably make me uh a very ill. But
[3:52:20]because we have an administration that's actively covering up pedophiles, uh we have to take this step and we have to take the step to keep them accountable and to expose all these pedophiles that
[3:52:31]are still in power right now all over this country. Thank you. And just one more point which this um this article from the New York Times shows more and
[3:52:43]more is keep more and more keeps coming out and the more we that comes out the more we see how large their coverup has been questions on this subject.
[3:52:53]>> But yes in the back >> yeah we're all going together. Yeah I mentioned that in my remarks. Yes. >> Yeah. Yes. I I don't know if we're going
[3:53:04]to get We're all going and we have set up appointments to go. Yes, >> leader Schumer, you asked for unanimous consent on the floor a few weeks ago objective. What is your core strategy
[3:53:15]moving forward to kind of get Senate action on this? >> Well, the bottom line is the Republicans all voted for it, every single one. And we're going to keep at it. We're going to use every strategy we can going to
[3:53:26]the Justice Department seeking lawsuits as well as whatever legislative strategies will work. Yes. >> Look, all the truth should come out.
[3:53:42]Period. >> Yes. >> Just two quick questions. Europe and
[3:53:54]>> as my colleagues well outlined, I agree. >> Second question. How do you react to people who say that Democrats and Republicans are enacting a new form of
[3:54:03]basically guilty association whoever is in the email? >> Yeah. All we want is the truth. The truth. >> Yes. >> Was there any effort to reach out to the
[3:54:13]woman against President Trump? >> Uhhuh. Uh there will be efforts to reach out to everyone who's willing to come forward and speak. And do you want to talk about that? Uh
[3:54:24]>> I think I mentioned my >> Yeah. Hopefully on preserving evidence of witnesses. >> Yeah. So we can get it. Yes. >> When you see the underacted documents,
[3:54:34]what can the public expect from you to inform them? Can you do anything to inform them? >> Well, let's we we're not going to prejudge. Let's see what's in the documents. We want to protect people's identities, but we also want the truth
[3:54:44]to come out and we will walk that line uh with with with great vigor. >> Yes. >> Um there are an additional 3 million files that have not been released and
[3:54:55]many the files that have been released remain redacted or have redacted. So what steps are you taking to ensure that those are >> Yeah, we're going to demand
[3:55:05]justification for any redactions and if the redactions are coverups as opposed to protecting identities, we're going to get to the bottom of it. >> We're going to get to the bottom of it.
[3:55:14]Okay. Thank you everybody. >> Right, everyone. That was from
[3:55:25]yesterday. Just wanted to bring that to you as well here on Live Now from Fox. All right, we are getting a statement from the former president, Bill Clinton. Just like yesterday, the statement was
[3:55:36]put out by Hillary Clinton. Let's read for you right now. Uh former President Clinton's opening statement to the House Oversight and Government Reform
[3:55:48]Committee. It says, "Good morning. Welcome to Chapua. I'm here today for two reasons. The first is that I love my country and America was built upon the idea that no person is above the law,
[3:56:00]even presidents, especially presidents. Democracy requires every person to play their part. And I hope that by being here today, we can bring ourselves a
[3:56:09]little further away from the brink and uh back to being a country where we can disagree with one another civily, where the search for truth and justice outweighs the partisan urge to score
[3:56:21]points and create spectacle. I'll do my part and I hope you will do yours as well. The second reason I'm here is that the girls and women whose lives Jeffrey Epstein destroyed deserve not only
[3:56:32]justice but healing. They've been waiting too long for both. Though my brief acquaintance with Epstein ended years before his crimes came to light and thought I never witnessed during our
[3:56:44]limited interaction. It says, "And though I never witnessed during our limited interactions an indication of which was truly going on, I am here to
[3:56:53]offer what little I know so that it might prevent anything like this from ever happening again. But before we start, I have to get personal. You made Hillary come in. She had nothing to do
[3:57:05]with Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing. She has no memory of even meeting him. She neither traveled with him nor visited any of his properties. Whether you subpoena 10 people or 10,000, including
[3:57:16]her, was simply not right. We begin this hearing with me raising my hand and taking an oath to tell the truth. But everyone has a responsibility to be honest with
[3:57:27]those that they represent. Whether you raised your right hand or not, each and every one of us owes nothing less than the truth and accuracy to the American
[3:57:37]people. And it goes on to say, "Now, let me say what you're going to hear from me.
[3:57:48]First, I had no idea of the crimes uh Epstein was committing. No matter how many photos you show me, I have two things that at the end of the day matter more than your interpretation of those
[3:57:58]20 yearear-old photos. I know what I saw and more importantly what I didn't see. I know what I did and more importantly what I didn't do. I saw nothing and I
[3:58:08]did nothing wrong. As someone who grew grew up in a home with domestic abuse, not only would I have not flown on his plane, if I had any inkling of what he
[3:58:18]was doing, I would have turned him in myself and led the call for justice for his crimes, not sweetheart deals. But even with 2020 hindsight, I saw nothing
[3:58:28]that ever gave me pause. We are only here because he hid it from everyone so well for so long. And by the time it
[3:58:37]came to light with his 2008 guilty plea, I long stopped associating with him. You'll often hear me say that I don't recall. That might be unsatisfying, but
[3:58:47]I'm not going to say something I'm not sure of. This was all a long time ago, and I'm bound by my oath not to speculate or to guess. This is not
[3:58:58]merely for my benefit, but because it doesn't help you for me to play detective 24 years later. Since I am under oath, I will not falsely state that I am looking forward to your
[3:59:09]questions, but I am ready to answer them to the best of my abilities, consistent with the facts as I know them, the legitimate, the logical, and even the outlandish. With that, Mr. Chairman,
[3:59:20]fire away. So, that was the opening statement by the former President Bill Clinton. to pictures and correspondence between
[3:59:39]Epstein, Maxwell, and Bill Clinton. These are all questions that we're going to ask today. >> Yesterday, you both told me that you were planning on asking about an email that Howard Lutnik sent to Jeffrey
[3:59:49]Epste, I presume, about a Hillary Clinton fundraiser. I think that was the one. He's worth asking about. Is he not worth asking in to talk about what he might know? Yeah. Um, and I think it'll be
[4:00:01]interesting when we hopefully get that video out later today or or or Demire as quick as we can get it out. I think it'll be interesting what Hillary Clinton said about Howard Lutnik >> and how she said it >> and how she said it. We look I think
[4:00:13]that was Miss Mace. >> All right, everyone. I do want to just get out of this right now because we do have Representative Anna Paulina speaking right now with the House
[4:00:23]Republicans. Let's listen in. Couple more people.
[4:00:48]>> Yeah, you're fine. I >> think everyone hopped off to go to lunch. pools here, right?
[4:01:02]>> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Um All right. Well, first >> don't stay in front of the pool, please. >> Um just first of all, a quick update. President Clinton is being very
[4:01:12]cooperative. Um I do want to point out because I have seen some back and forth in regards to some of the Democrats trying to call in not credible witnesses. And I won't get into the nature of what I've asked the president
[4:01:23]specifically until after the deposition is over. Um, but to be clear, we've had two witnesses or not two witnesses, two individuals um, one that accuses
[4:01:34]President Clinton of unfounded allegations um, of there being sex tapes, etc. by the name of Sarah Ransom. And there was a uh, an individual under the name of Katie Johnson that also had
[4:01:45]unfounded allegations of rape against our sitting president of the United States. both being um claims that did not have evidence for for grounds of that. And so just as we wouldn't call in
[4:01:56]an individual like Sarah Ransom who we know um made up claims, we're not going to do the same thing for President Trump. So I think to be able to um bring that up and conflate the two with this
[4:02:07]investigation is wrong. And and I want to be very clear on record, I don't believe that Sarah claims had valid claims against President Trump in regards to what she was uh President Clinton as in regards to what she was alleging. Um, just as I don't believe
[4:02:19]that there are valid claims against President Trump by the individual of the name of Katie Johnson, what I will say is it has become very evident even in the last 24 hours in lines of
[4:02:28]questioning that Jeffrey Epstein was running a intelligence gathering operation. In my professional opinion, I do believe it was a honeypot operation. And I do believe that there's a list of
[4:02:39]individuals who did engage in trafficking was given these plea deals. And I'm going to name those individuals right now. The first one would be Leslie Grath. The second one Sarah Kellen, the
[4:02:49]third one, Nadia Marova, and the fourth one, Adriana Ross. All of these women engaged trafficking uh engaged in the trafficking of minors as adults. They were working and complicit with Jeffrey
[4:03:00]Epstein's operation. And in my opinion, they are not to be given victim status because they did partake in harming harming young girls. Um, I remember seeing in some of the files some of
[4:03:12]these girls were, you know, as young as 10, 11 years old and older. And so, obviously, we have a lot of work to do, but I did want to come and give an update and let you know that President Clinton, as of right now, is cooperative
[4:03:24]and answering answering all of our questions. Um, and that it leads me to believe that if we can remove the partisan nature of this investigation, we actually might be able to get justice. And so I will be calling on the
[4:03:35]um the oversight committee to bring in those four individuals that I just listed. We will continue to conduct the investigation and provide updates shortly for all of you. >> What has the former president said to
[4:03:46]the committee about >> um I can't get into the specifics of the deposition because it's still currently
[4:03:57]going on. But again, he's being very cooperative and I think that that statement is pretty on point with what we're hearing. >> Is uh former president? >> We will provide updates as soon as it's
[4:04:11]over. I don't want to um violate the trust that we have right now in the depositions. But I do think that we are at least getting a little bit more of a
[4:04:22]clearer picture. And I will say I'm not in favor. And if there is a request to bring in an individual who's made false allegations against President Clinton, um I will be voting that down in committee just as I will be voting down
[4:04:33]any individuals that are brought forward that have made false claims against President Trump. I do think that there is a bit of partisan um smear attempts in this whole investigation. But it's important to note that Jeffrey Epste
[4:04:44]does have all of the telltale signs of an intelligence gathering operation. I think we all know that. Um I do believe that because of the people in power and influence, specifically presidents, etc.
[4:04:54]that he was targeting that there is an aspect of you know um foreign governments trying to pit some of us against against each other using this topic and so we're more focused on that
[4:05:05]as well as bringing justice to the victims and there is no justice when traffickers are given plea deals and so we'll be following up on that as well and I did nothing wrong
[4:05:21]>> um I'm going to go back in and what I will say is said, "I I don't have any reason to believe right now that he's hiding the ball and everything. He's been pretty transparent." >> And is it your belief and or the belie
[4:05:32]that the former president was targeted by Jeffrey Epste on behalf of >> I it is in my opinion, I don't think the
[4:05:43]opinion of the committee, but I do believe that Jeffrey Epste was targeting many politicians um many influential people, especially in regards to economic policy, etc. And I do believe
[4:05:53]that it was possible that not just him, but likely Secretary Clinton as well as a number of other people were targeted um due to an intelligence gathering operation. I think the American people will agree with me on that. But again, I don't want to get into too much of the
[4:06:05]specifics of the deposition. And I will be able to tell you at least once this is over and we will be also trying to release those recordings from Secretary's deposition yesterday as well as President Clinton's as soon as
[4:06:14]possible. Thank you guys. >> Right. Representative Anna Paulina there uh giving the latest updates right here
[4:06:24]for you on live now from Fox. Again, Representative Anna Paulina Luna giving the latest updates from the Republican side as uh they are in now the lunch
[4:06:35]period. We're going to continue on with more on Live Now from Fox. >> Maxwell and Bill Clinton. These are all
[4:06:45]questions that we're going to ask today. Yesterday you both told me that you were planning on asking about an email that Howard Lutnik sent to Jeffrey Epste I presume about a Hillary Clinton fundraiser. I think that was the one.
[4:06:56]He's worth asking about. Is he not worth asking to talk about what he might know? >> Yeah. Um and I think it'll be interesting when we hopefully get that video out later today or or or Demar as
[4:07:08]quick as we can get it out. I think it'll be interesting what Hillary Clinton said about Howard Lutnik >> and how she said it. >> And how she said it. We look I think that was Miss Mace uh with the line of questioning. So there was a pretty
[4:07:20]thorough line of questioning yesterday between Miss Mace and uh Miss Clinton with respect to Lutnik. And I I think you all find it very interesting what she had to say. But but we're going to
[4:07:30]continue to uh you know ask questions of of everyone that's that shows up in photos on the island and things like that. >> Ask for the secretary. >> I I will be asking for him. Yes, >> you will. >> Go ahead.
[4:07:42]>> Uh thank you, Mr. Chair. Obviously, we heard from Secretary Clinton after her deposition. She described the session as repetitive. She said it veered off topics. She was asked about things like
[4:07:53]UFOs, pizza gate. Can you explain why those topics were brought up and also in light of the release of that photo? >> And she also said there were substantive questions yesterday too. But one reason
[4:08:05]there were repetitive questions about Epstein is because we went through every email and every correspondence that implied uh Hillary Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein communicated often. You all have
[4:08:16]seen the email where he said uh that she looks better in person and all of that. Those were questions we asked. So every every item of evidence that would suggest
[4:08:27]Hillary Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein had a close relationship, we went and asked about that. So, it may have seemed repetitive because there was a lot of documentation that would suggest that
[4:08:39]>> she had a relationship with Epstein. So, go ahead. >> To be clear, um, uh, Secretary Clinton actually asked about the NDAA. Sorry. Go ahead. >> Um, to be clear, Secretary Clinton actually asked us about what happened
[4:08:50]with the disclosure language in the NDAA. So, I mean, I know she's trying to pivot from the fact that she's here and she had a very close relationship regarding the Clinton Foundation and Epstein and Maxwell, but the point is
[4:09:00]is, and I think I'd like to uh hit on this with probably Miss Mace here. Um, but I think we have a very important interest and curiosity about what specifically the co-conspirators had a
[4:09:11]role in all this, right? Um, we know for a fact that some of these were women. And I think that today, at least with my line of questioning, um, you know, I'm curious about that. Why is it that these women were giving plea deals as adults
[4:09:22]for trafficking minors? Um, how much of that did they witness, etc. And so, you know, I I don't know that Secretary Clinton was all that honest about the context of this investigation. We asked
[4:09:32]extensively about intelligence ties, whether or not she felt that she was targeted as a result of possibly an intelligence gathering operation, and she was very curiously interested in that, and then also um you'll hear it in
[4:09:44]the response, but had told us to follow up with a few countries, one of which is our ally. So that's interesting. >> And I think I think Miss Miss Luna brought up a good point about the
[4:09:54]Clinton Foundation. There's so many uh examples in the evidence the Department of Justice released in correspondence where Epstein bragged about how involved
[4:10:04]he was initially in setting up the Clinton Global Initiative and the Clinton Foundation. We asked those questions to Secretary Clinton yesterday and and she kept saying, "Well, she was
[4:10:14]in the Senate at that time. She wasn't focused on it. You'll have to ask my husband." So, a lot of the Clinton Global Initiative questions yesterday went unanswered because Miss Clinton deferred to her husband. So, last we'll
[4:10:25]do one more question. Annie, Annie, go ahead. >> It's our understanding that you guys asked Secretary Clinton yesterday about photos of her husband in the Epste. What was her reaction when you showed photos,
[4:10:36]for example, her her husband in the seen? >> I'm gonna let >> I'm gonna let Miss Mace answer that. We're on TV. >> Okay. I I'm not going to say anything.
[4:10:46]Uh, no. uh she didn't want to answer any questions about any of that and deferred most of those if not all of those questions to her husband and he will be
[4:10:55]thoroughly uh asked about that today. Um you know what did he know? What did he know? What did he see? Um because there are other people who've come forward publicly like Kevin Spacy who thought all of this was very strange and
[4:11:06]actually a very high risk for a president of the United States or former president. It's all very bizarre. Um, but I asked her very pointed questions and you'll see that in the transcript in the video that comes out and you'll see
[4:11:17]how she responded um uh as well screaming >> and and and and I we'll close with this. We're going to we're going to get the video out as quickly as it we can get it
[4:11:29]uploaded in the sound and everything from yesterday. So, uh this is for all practical purposes a public deposition. The the American people are going to see it. I I I've heard C-SPAN's going to air
[4:11:39]it wire towire. Uh, so everyone's going to see what was asked yesterday and I think that'll answer a lot of questions, especially with Lutnik and and other things like that. Throughout the day, we'll try to send different members out
[4:11:50]to to give you brief updates. We don't want to uh uh >> disclose what's going on in the in the deposition specifically until after at the conclusion, but we'll keep you
[4:12:02]updated and we appreciate everyone being here and look forward to uh updating you throughout the day. >> What do you mean that Hillary Clinton was screaming? She was unhinged and I hope that President Clinton is uh less unhinged today than his wife was
[4:12:14]yesterday. You'll see it. >> Why do you think she had a relationship? >> Say again. >> Why do you think she had a relationship with him? >> Well, he was basically instrumental or former president. It's all very
[4:12:24]bizarre. Um but I asked her very pointed questions and you'll see that in the transcript and the video that comes out and you'll see how she responded um uh as well screaming.
[4:12:36]All right, that was the House Republicans before the deposition started for Bill Clinton. Now, I want to show you House Democrats speaking just
[4:12:45]before everything got going. >> Great. Thank you all uh for being here
[4:13:00]today. I'm Robert Garcia. the ranking member uh leader of the oversight committee for Democrats and we're going to make some brief comments. Uh everyone's got a few brief remarks and then we're going to start the deposition. Um just saying that what
[4:13:11]we're interested in today is a serious deposition. We have real questions that deserve serious answers from former President Clinton. And we have said from
[4:13:22]day one that Democrats want to talk to anyone whether they are a Republican or a Democrat, no matter how powerful they are, whatever position that they've been
[4:13:31]in, if anyone has information about Jeffrey Epstein and certainly the horror that he inflicted on so many women and children, we want to hear from them.
[4:13:42]What we do not want today is a sideshow and questions about UFOs or about conspiracy theories from decades ago,
[4:13:52]which is what unfortunately happened yesterday when a series of bizarre questions were asked of Secretary Clinton. And Secretary Secretary Clinton was clear. She never met Jeffrey
[4:14:03]Epstein. She never went on the island. She was never on the plane. And she had no knowledge, of course, of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. Want to also add that there are a lot of
[4:14:14]questions today whether they're about Epson's finances about survivors about foreign intelligence that we look forward to asking in a way that's serious and dignified and we hope
[4:14:24]Republicans do the same. I also want to add one other thing which I think is really important. Republicans have now set a new president which is to bring in presidents and
[4:14:36]former presidents to testify. So, we're once again going to make that call that we did yesterday. We are now asking and demanding that President Trump
[4:14:46]officially come in and testify in front of the oversight committee. He appears in the Epstein files next to next to Jeffrey Epste and Galain Maxwell almost
[4:14:57]more than anybody else. So, it's time for the president to answer questions about why files are missing from the DOJ, why there's been a White House cover up and why we continue in that administration to call this
[4:15:08]investigation a hoax. And finally, I'll review the call that we made yesterday that we are demanding again that the press and the public be allowed inside these depositions so that
[4:15:20]you can hear the answers and the questions directly. And if that's not going to happen, they need to release a full unedited review of the questions and video within
[4:15:32]24 hours of the end of these depositions. That means the Secretary Clinton deposition needs to be released immediately today. And with that, I'll pass it along to Mr. Frost.
[4:15:43]>> Thank you so much. Today, we're here to conduct a serious investigation. And um it is obvious that our Republican colleagues, at least yesterday, we're not here to do the same thing. We've
[4:15:54]said it many times and we'll continue to say it again. We will hear from anyone. We don't care who you are. We just want the truth. All of us have met with the survivors. All of us looked him in the
[4:16:05]eyes and promised them that we would see this thing through the end and do it in a serious way, asking questions about UAPs, UFOs. As interested as I am in the
[4:16:14]subject, too, it it has nothing to do with this investigation. Don't waste our time. Don't waste the time of survivors who have been waiting and waiting for
[4:16:25]justice. Now, finally, the government is paying attention. Members of Congress are paying attention. Stay focused on the matter at hand. We're also calling out the hypocrisy of
[4:16:35]our Republican colleagues who, yes, we're here to talk with President Clinton today. We'll talk with anyone. But how come people like Howard Ludnik see it seems like they don't want to talk with him? They don't want to talk
[4:16:46]with the president. They want to they don't want to call in Pam Bondi who has done everything that she can do to cover up and to slow down our investigation. A
[4:16:57]law passed by Congress damn near damn near unanimously that she's done everything she can to slow down the release of the files and even when they're released and they said members of Congress would be able to go to the
[4:17:08]Department of Justice to view them unredacted. I know all of us, if not most of us, have gone in there and seen files that are still redacted and not given a proper explanation as to why we
[4:17:19]can't view them. We know the Department of Justice has deleted things having to do with Donald Trump, has deleted things having to do with Howard Lnik and people connected to the administration. We know
[4:17:30]that Pam Bondi has been spying on members of Congress as we've been trying to conduct our legitimate oversight responsibilities. So, we're here to see this through. We're here because we know
[4:17:42]that this is about justice for the survivors. But justice also means that this never happens again. That's why this investigation is so important. We don't want this failure of government,
[4:17:53]this failure of elite billionaires getting away with a different system of justice. We don't want this to happen again. And that's why we're here today. We are serious about this. And my hope is that my Republican colleagues who say
[4:18:05]they're serious about it back it up with action. not just with the questions you ask here today, but what you do from here on out. It's not about party. It's about this nation. It's about protecting
[4:18:15]our most vulnerable people. Thank you. >> We have a couple more. >> Good afternoon. I'm James Walkenshaw from Virginia's 11th district. I am glad that President Clinton is going to sit
[4:18:27]down today with us and answer questions under oath. Anybody who had a significant relationship with Jeffrey Epstein should explain what, if
[4:18:38]anything, and when they knew about the crimes that were being committed. President Clinton's sworn statement said that he had no knowledge of the crimes that were committed. And I know that
[4:18:50]we're committed to asking tough questions about that today. But President Clinton's presence here today under oath highlights the Donald
[4:19:02]Trumpsized gaping hole in Chairman Comr's investigation. President Trump has mentioned tens of thousands of times in the files. We
[4:19:13]learned in recent days that files related to an accusation made against President Trump have been removed, not released to the public in the files. And
[4:19:24]this investigation will not be complete until we bring President Trump in to answer questions under oath. I'm hopeful that Chairman Comr will have the courage
[4:19:34]to move us in that direction. Thank you. I'm Congressman Sua Ceremonium from Virginia's 10th district. Uh we're going to ask President Clinton the hard questions today. We're going to get to
[4:19:45]the truth about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Uh but let's be real, we are talking to the wrong president today. President Trump is the one who released two and a half million files.
[4:19:55]President Trump is the one who is blocking our investigation. President Trump is the one who wants this to go away. But it will not go away. And so yes, we will talk to President Clinton today. But moving forward, this needs to
[4:20:07]be not about party, but about getting to the truth and getting justice for the survivors. >> Congressman Wesley Bell here. I'm sorry
[4:20:16]these glasses go dark on me. Um, first and foremost, I think what is getting lost in much of this is that this is about justice for the victims and the
[4:20:27]survivors. And we can't forget that. This is not political theater, which um Republicans seem to be interested in. This is about getting to the bottom of
[4:20:38]exactly what happened and holding those um responsible accountable. And that's exactly what we're here to do. And so we're going to continue to uh keep
[4:20:49]pushing Republicans to do the right thing. We need to see anyone who has information with respect to um um the
[4:20:58]Epstein files or this sex trafficking, they need to be brought before um this committee and we need to have a serious investigation. And I and I've said it
[4:21:09]before as a former prosecutor. I've led these types of investigations and this has not been a serious investigation by any stretch of the imagination. The
[4:21:19]American people want um to see justice served. The victims and the survivors deserve justice. >> Good morning, Congresswoman Yasam
[4:21:30]andsari from Arizona's third district. I am grateful that we are here day two of these depositions with Secretary Clinton and President Bill Clinton. We've always said we will take answers from anyone
[4:21:41]and nobody is above congressional oversight, but let's be absolutely honest about something. If the Republicans want to be serious about this investigation and getting to the
[4:21:52]truth and accountability for perpetrators, then we have to look to the most powerful person in the United States and the world, which is President Donald Trump. He is mentioned in the
[4:22:04]Epstein files more than almost anyone. And just this week, incredibly damning reporting came out to say that there were credible allegations from a woman
[4:22:15]who said that she was abused by Donald Trump when she was a minor. The FBI investigated this and interviewed this individual multiple times. You do not do
[4:22:26]that if it is not serious. Further, we need to investigate the ongoing White House cover up. We know that the Department of Justice has been withholding files. They have been making
[4:22:37]illegal redactions. The FBI and Cash Patel have been lying under oath. All of these people need to be deposed before this committee. We need to take this
[4:22:48]investigation seriously. There are more than a thousand people who were harmed by Jeffrey Epstein, Galain Maxwell, and many other rich and powerful people,
[4:22:58]children whose lives were literally altered forever at the hands of this abuse. This is very serious and I think the fact that some of the Republicans on
[4:23:09]the oversight committee feel that it is appropriate to make statements to say that President Trump is somehow exonerated. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna said this last night. That is the
[4:23:21]most outrageous thing that I have ever heard. Donald Trump needs to come before this committee and we will not stop fighting until we get the truth and there's accountability and justice for
[4:23:32]the survivors. I'm Ro Kana from California. I want to echo what all of my colleagues said. A
[4:23:42]new president has been set in America today. Before this, we had the Trump rule. Trump defied, as all of you know, a congressional subpoena with the January 6th committee. He said
[4:23:52]presidents don't have to testify. Now, we have the Clinton rule, which is that presidents and their families have to testify when Congress issues a subpoena. And that means that Donald Trump needs
[4:24:04]to come before our committee and explain uh what he knew about Epstein and explain why we have not had a full release of the documents. We also need other people part of the Epstein class
[4:24:15]to come before this committee. If President Clinton can answer questions, many others need to as well. I was pleased to see Congresswoman Nancy Mace today calling for Howard Lutnik to come
[4:24:26]before our committee. I believe we will have the votes to subpoena him and uh we will work with ranking member Garcia to make sure that he comes before a committee next.
[4:24:37]>> A couple questions mentioning foreign intelligence Virginia never accused the former President Bill Clinton of wrongdoing but she did say that he
[4:24:46]visited Epste but the former president say he never went. Uh you mentioned Howard Lutnik several times. We know that he claimed to cut off ties with Epstein but then
[4:24:58]was visited the island. So who do you believe Virginia? >> Those questions are actually going to be asked today in this deposition. So we look forward look forward to those questions. >> Just a short time ago your Republican
[4:25:09]colleagues said that there was some type of exchange yesterday with the secretary where she was screaming. What is your characterization? I I I hope that the uh Republicans
[4:25:20]release the actual video unedited immediately because to say that the secretary was screaming uh I think is beyond a mischaracterization. What
[4:25:29]happened yesterday was a disgrace to be asking about UFOs, Pizzagate, conspiracy theories. You yourself are going to see the types of questions that she was
[4:25:39]asked to to defend her husband, not directly to her, not information about her. I think it's I think they need to release the videos right now. You should all be let in
[4:25:49]this immediately. >> You guys have talked often about the president being set by President Clinton appearing here today as it relates to President Trump. Is the way that President Clinton answers these
[4:26:00]questions today also setting a precedent if he executive privilege or says he doesn't remember? Could that set the stage for President Trump to do a similar situ? I >> I think I think it was telling that uh
[4:26:10]Secretary Clinton did not take the fifth one time yesterday. She answered the questions. Uh that information needs to be released. I think it's important that President Clinton do the same. I think he will answer questions today. I think
[4:26:21]that President Trump needs to man up, get in front of this committee and answer the questions and Scott calling investigation a hoax. And we've got to go in. Thank you all very much. >> Questions.
[4:26:33]>> All right. So that was from earlier today. House Democrats speaking right before the Bill Clinton deposition talking about uh how Hillary Clinton was handled just yesterday. Okay. Now, what
[4:26:43]I want to do is show you Hillary Hillary Clinton remarks after the deposition that lasted for more than 6 hours. Remember, we are still awaiting to see if we will get that playback today of
[4:26:54]the hearing of the testimony in full. If it does happen, we will have it for you on Live Now from Fox today. In the meantime, let's show you the remarks
[4:27:01]from uh Secretary Clinton yesterday. Whatever they asked me, I did my very
[4:27:14]best to respond. Um, it was disappointing that they refused to hold uh a public hearing so I
[4:27:25]wouldn't have to be out here characterizing it for you. You could have seen it for yourself. Uh, we had asked for that. We think it would have been better for the committee uh
[4:27:36]and its efforts to uh gather whatever information they are seeking. Uh we had uh a bit of a challenge in the beginning
[4:27:47]because we had agreed upon rules based on the fact it was going to be a closed hearing uh at their uh demand and one of
[4:27:56]the members violated uh that rule which was uh very upsetting because it suggested that they might violate other
[4:28:06]uh of our agreements. So, we had to cease the hearing for a period of time until we could get asurances that uh no
[4:28:16]rules would be uh broken going forward. And we returned to answer questions repetitively, literally over and over again. I don't know how many times I had
[4:28:28]to say I did not know Jeffrey Epstein. I never went to his island. I never went to his homes. I never went to his offices. Uh so it's on the record
[4:28:40]numerous times. Uh it then got at the end quite unusual because I started being asked about UFOs
[4:28:51]and a series of questions about Pizzagate, one of the most vile, bogus conspiracy theories that was propagated on the
[4:29:01]internet. uh that was serving as the basis of a member's uh questions to me.
[4:29:09]So I can only say that the best exchange that I had came at the very end
[4:29:18]when contrary to every other deposition they have uh taken.
[4:29:26]No Republican member asked any questions about Jeffrey Epstein or Delane Maxwell
[4:29:35]to anyone else they have deposed. And in fact, the Republican members didn't even show up for the deposition of Les Wexner.
[4:29:46]And when I said that, I had to uh point out that the only questions that any Republican member asked
[4:29:57]of any of the people they proposed was of former Attorney General Bill Barr
[4:30:05]when Chairman Comr asked him about the allegations in his view about
[4:30:15]Russia's 's uh involvement in my election in 2016. So at the very end of this hearing after
[4:30:24]I made that point, I want to commend Chairman Comr for raising a series of
[4:30:33]significant questions that I uh responded to about the nature of the investigation and the areas that I
[4:30:42]thought should be explored. Uh so I appreciated that. I uh want to see the truth come out. Uh so that was uh a
[4:30:54]reassuring way to end uh a very long repetitive uh deposition. >> You spoke in your opening remarks about
[4:31:05]how heartbroken you have been for the Epstein survivors as these files have come out. Can you talk to us a little bit about how you have processed and reacted to uh the fact that the former
[4:31:16]president, your husband Bill Clinton, is referencing the Epste files numerous times, including in some photos uh featuring women? And how have you been personally preparing for the deposition
[4:31:26]that is coming tomorrow? Are you 100% confident that uh there isn't anything that the former president knows about Epste's crimes?
[4:31:34]>> I am. And I think the chronology uh of uh the connection that he had with Epstein Epstein uh ended years several
[4:31:45]years before uh anything about Epstein's uh criminal activities came to light and and that he was charged and sadly given
[4:31:55]a sweetheart deal which as I said in my statement had that not happened perhaps his predatory behavior could have been stopped earlier. Um, but I think it is
[4:32:06]fair to say that the vast majority of people who had contact with him before his criminal please in ' 08
[4:32:16]uh were like most people. They did not know uh what uh he was doing. Uh and I I think that that is exactly what my
[4:32:26]husband will testify to tomorrow. Do you believe secretary secretary? Do you believe that this was a fair do you believe this was a fair
[4:32:38]hearing and do you still want to testify publicly even though you do this opposition? >> Well, I'm not going to do it again. Uh, you know, they had a chance to do it in public and I wish they had done it in
[4:32:48]public and I think uh they're making the wrong decision avoiding doing it in public. Um, I thought it was very repetitive. I
[4:32:59]thought that uh uh they asked literally the same questions over and over again uh which didn't seem to me to be very
[4:33:09]productive. Uh and then as I said toward the end, you know, there were other questions that were totally off off uh subject. Uh so if if they are going to
[4:33:19]fulfill their responsibilities uh to literally investigate the investigations which is what they originally said was the scope of their
[4:33:29]uh work uh I think they could have spent the day more productively action secretary from News. Can I ask why was
[4:33:43]Colleen Maxwell conflicted to Chelsea Clinton's wedding in 2010? She'd already been mentioned in a civil lawsuit by
[4:33:52]Virginia before that. Jeffrey MC already >> she came as the plus one the guest of
[4:34:01]someone who was invited of your husband in the hot tub and swimming. >> What message does it say that president? I don't know when the video will be out.
[4:34:13]I don't know when the transcript will be out. We've asked that they be out as quickly as possible and then you can see >> Madam Secretary.
[4:34:22]>> All right. So that was from uh yesterday of course right after the uh long day testimony for Hillary Clinton. Now back out live in Chapa Quai as former
[4:34:33]President Bill Clinton deposition still underway right now. Representative Robert Garcia, the Democrat of California, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, said this
[4:34:44]morning that Democrats have real questions that deserve serious answers from former President Clinton during his closed door deposition in Chaffqua today. We have said from day one that
[4:34:54]Democrats want to talk to anyone, whether they are Republican or a Democrat, no matter how powerful they are, whatever position that they might be in. Garcia said that they don't want
[4:35:06]to see another sideshow today like the one that happened during Hillary Clinton's deposition yesterday in which he he said Republicans asked her about UFOs and conspiracy theories. So, the
[4:35:18]former President Bill Clinton right now facing these questions uh led by the Republican le House oversight committee about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, making him the first sitting or former
[4:35:29]president to testify before members of Congress in more than 40 years. What we want to do now uh just in case
[4:35:38]if you are joining us here on Live Now from Fox, continuing to bring you always the very latest. I do want to uh showcase to you first uh the Democrats
[4:35:49]speaking from earlier today and then we'll show the Republicans as well. >> Great. Thank you all uh for being here
[4:36:03]today. I'm Robert Garcia. I'm the ranking member uh leader of the oversight committee for Democrats and we're going to make some brief comments. Uh everyone's got a few brief remarks and then we're going to start the
[4:36:13]deposition. Uh want to just begin by um just saying that what we're interested in today is a serious deposition. We have real questions that deserve serious
[4:36:24]answers from former President Clinton. And we have said from day one that Democrats want to talk to anyone, whether they are a Republican or a Democrat, no matter how powerful they
[4:36:35]are, whatever position that they've been in, if anyone has information about Jeffrey Epstein and certainly the horror that he inflicted on so many women and children, we want to hear from them.
[4:36:47]What we do not want today is a sideshow and questions about UFOs or about conspiracy theories from decades ago,
[4:36:58]which is what unfortunately happened yesterday when a series of bizarre questions were asked of Secretary Clinton. And Secretary Secretary Clinton was clear. She never met Jeffrey

[4:38:13]that administration to call this investigation a hoax. And finally, I'll review the call that we made yesterday that we are demanding again that the press and the public be
[4:38:24]allowed inside the depositions so that you can hear the answers and the questions directly. And if that's not going to happen, they need to release a full unedited
[4:38:35]review of the questions and video within 24 hours of the end of these depositions. That means the Secretary Clinton deposition needs to be released immediately today. And with that, I'll
[4:38:46]pass it along to Mr. Frost. >> Thank you so much. Today, we're here to conduct a serious investigation. And um it is obvious that our Republican colleagues, at least yesterday, we're
[4:38:58]not here to do the same thing. We've said it many times and we'll continue to say it again. We will hear from anyone. We don't care who you are. We just want the truth. All of us have met with the

[4:42:19]learned in recent days that files related to an accusation made against President Trump have been removed, not released to the public in the files. And
[4:42:30]this investigation will not be complete until we bring President Trump in to answer questions under oath. I'm hopeful that Chairman Comr will have the courage
[4:42:40]to move us in that direction. Thank you. I'm Congressman Suhas Ceremonium from Virginia's 10th district. Uh we're going to ask President Clinton the hard questions today. We're going to get to
[4:42:51]the truth about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Uh but let's be real. We are talking to the wrong president today. President Trump is the one who released two and a half million files.
[4:43:01]President Trump is the one who is blocking our investigation. President Trump is the one who wants this to go away. But it will not go away. And so yes, we will talk to President Clinton today. But moving forward, this needs to
[4:43:12]be not about party, but about getting to the truth and getting justice for the survivors. >> Congressman Wesley Bell here. I'm sorry
[4:43:22]these glasses go dark on me. Um, first and foremost, I think what is getting lost in much of this is that this is about justice for the victims and the
[4:43:33]survivors. And we can't forget that this is not political theater, which um Republicans seem to be interested in. This is about getting to the bottom of
[4:43:44]exactly what happened and holding those um responsible accountable. And that's exactly what we're here to do. And so we're going to continue to uh keep
[4:43:55]pushing Republicans to do the right thing. We need to see anyone who has information with respect to um um the
[4:44:04]Epstein files or this sex trafficking. They need to be brought before um this committee and we need to have a serious investigation. And I and I've said it
[4:44:14]before as a former prosecutor. I've led these types of investigations and this has not been a serious investigation by any stretch of the imagination. The
[4:44:25]American people want um to see justice served. The victims and the survivors deserve justice. >> Good morning, Congresswoman Yasam
[4:44:36]andsari from Arizona's third district. I am grateful that we are here day two of these depositions with Secretary Clinton and President Bill Clinton. We've always said we will take answers from anyone
[4:44:47]and nobody is above congressional oversight, but let's be absolutely honest about something. If the Republicans want to be serious about this investigation and getting to the
[4:44:58]truth and accountability for perpetrators, then we have to look to the most powerful person in the United States and the world, which is President Donald Trump. He is mentioned in the
[4:45:10]Epstein files more than almost anyone. And just this week, incredibly damning reporting came out to say that there were credible allegations from a woman
[4:45:21]who said that she was abused by Donald Trump when she was a minor. The FBI investigated this and interviewed this individual multiple times. You do not do
[4:45:32]that if it is not serious. Further, we need to investigate the ongoing White House cover up. We know that the Department of Justice has been withholding files. They have been making
[4:45:42]illegal redactions. The FBI and Cash Patel have been lying under oath. All of these people need to be deposed before this committee. We need to take this
[4:45:53]investigation seriously. There are more than a thousand people who were harmed by Jeffrey Epstein, Galain Maxwell, and many other rich and powerful people,
[4:46:04]children whose lives were literally altered forever at the hands of this abuse. This is very serious and I think the fact that some of the Republicans on
[4:46:15]the oversight committee feel that it is appropriate to make statements to say that President Trump is somehow exonerated. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna said this last night. That is the
[4:46:27]most outrageous thing that I have ever heard. Donald Trump needs to come before this committee and we will not stop fighting until we get the truth and there's accountability and justice for
[4:46:38]the survivors. I'm Ro Kana from California. I want to echo what all of my colleagues said. A
[4:46:47]new president has been set in America today. Before this, we had the Trump rule. Trump defied, as all of you know, a congressional subpoena with the January 6th committee. He said
[4:46:58]presidents don't have to testify. Now, we have the Clinton rule, which is that presidents and their families have to testify when Congress issues a subpoena. And that means that Donald Trump needs
[4:47:10]to come before our committee and explain uh what he knew about Epstein and explain why we have not had a full release of the documents. We also need other people part of the Epstein class
[4:47:21]to come before this committee. If President Clinton can answer questions, many others need to as well. I was pleased to see Congresswoman Nancy Mace today calling for Howard Lutnik to come
[4:47:31]before our committee. I believe we will have the votes to subpoena him and uh we will work with ranking member Garcia to make sure that he comes before a committee next.
[4:47:43]>> A couple questions mentioning foreign intelligence Virginia never accused the former President Bill Clinton of wrongdoing but she did say that he
[4:47:52]visited Epste but the former president say he never went. You mentioned Howard Lutnik several times. We know that he claimed
[4:48:01]to cut off ties with Epste but then visited the island. So who do you believe Virginia or President? >> Those questions are actually going to be asked today in this deposition. So we look forward to look forward to those questions.
[4:48:12]>> Just a short time ago your Republican colleagues said that there was some type of exchange yesterday with the secretary where she was screaming. What is your characterization?
[4:48:23]I I I hope that the uh Republicans release the actual video unedited immediately because to say that the secretary was screaming uh I think is
[4:48:33]beyond a mischaracterization. What happened yesterday was a disgrace to be asking about UFOs, Pizzagate, conspiracy theories. You yourself are going to see the types of questions that she was
[4:48:45]asked to to defend her husband, not directly to her, not information about her. I think it's I think they need to release the videos right now. You should all be let in
[4:48:55]this immediately. >> You guys have talked often about the president being set by President Clinton appearing here today as it relates to President Trump. Is the way that President Clinton answers these
[4:49:06]questions today also setting a precedent if he evokes executive privilege or says he doesn't remember? Could that set the stage for President Trump to do a similar situation? I >> I think I think it was telling that uh
[4:49:16]Secretary Clinton did not take the fifth one time yesterday. She answered the questions. Uh that information needs to be released. I think it's important that President Clinton do the same. I think he will answer questions today. I think
[4:49:27]that President Trump needs to man up, get in front of this committee and answer the questions and stop calling investigation a hoax. And we've got to go in. Thank you. >> All right. While we wait for some fresh
[4:49:39]sound from either Republicans or Democrats, I do want to show you from yesterday Senate Democrats talking about the Epstein files.
[4:49:50]review the unredacted files in the coming days. Pam Bondi should listen carefully. The truth will come out. The whole ugly ugly truth about what she's
[4:50:00]doing to protect people in the files will come out. The whole world is going to know exactly what she knew when she
[4:50:07]knew it and what she did to cover it up. Democrats are going to hold Pam Bondi and everyone involved at the DOJ
[4:50:16]accountable for this cover up. Today, we are demanding that Department of Justice and the FBI preserve records on what transpired behind the scenes. We want to
[4:50:28]know who was involved in the decision to hide the truth. And a warning to the Trump cronies working on this. We will know if you are destroying documents and evidence. You will not outrun the law.
[4:50:39]You will not outrun the truth. This isn't political. The survivors deserve the truth and the American people are demanding it. Democrats and
[4:50:50]Republicans agree the American people deserve the truth. So Donald Trump, stop hiding. Stop delaying. Come clean with the American people. And if you don't,
[4:51:01]Democrats will make sure the truth comes out. Our next speaker is Senator Durban. Thanks, Senator Schumer. With the
[4:51:18]Epstein files, the Trump administration had an opportunity to secure a win for survivors, for accountability, and for transparency. But after mishandling the
[4:51:29]files for a year, it took an act of Congress to force Pam Bondi and Cash Patel to even consider providing justice.
[4:51:39]Even after the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the Trump administration decided to violate federal law to protect the rich and powerful.
[4:51:49]The law required DOJ to produce the files by December 19th. Yet, the vast majority of those files were not produced until January 30th, 42 days
[4:52:00]later. Department of Justice has violated the legislation's protection for victims by publishing records without redacting personally identifiable information of
[4:52:12]victims, including nude photos where their names and faces could be identified. In sharp contrast, other produced records heavily redacted
[4:52:21]information identifying powerful business and political figures who are alleged conspirators or material witnesses to Epstein's crimes. Violations of the Epstein Files
[4:52:33]Transparency Act continue as the Department of Justice has yet to produce all Epstein related records required by law and has removed thousands of records
[4:52:43]from the website beyond those that inappropriately identify victims. Keep in w mind a whistleblower told my office that FBI agents reviewing the
[4:52:55]Epstein files were instructed to flag any records that mentioned President Donald Trump. This disclosure is even more damning in light of yesterday's bombshell. The New York Times report
[4:53:07]that the Justice Department failed to disclose documents related to a woman who alleged that Trump sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Simply put, Pam Bondi and Cash Patel
[4:53:18]have mismanaged these records during their tenure in office. That is why as ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I'm joining our leadership Charles Schumer and a letter to the
[4:53:28]Justice Department and FBI requesting the preservation of records related to the management of the Epstein files over a course of the Trump administration. Preserving federal records and
[4:53:40]safeguarding information critical to congressional oversight is a legal obligation that all department employees are required to meet. As I told General Bondi during last year's judiciary
[4:53:51]committee oversight hearing, quote, "Eventually, you're going to have to answer for your conduct in this. You won't do it today, but eventually you
[4:54:00]will. The survivors deserve better. It's clear that Donald Trump and his Republican enablers are executing a cover up and conceal strategy. Heads are
[4:54:10]rolling at the highest levels of the United Kingdom. Will heads roll in the United States? When will the Trump administration come clean with the survivors and the American people? The
[4:54:21]sooner the better. Next, I believe Senator Bloom can't make it. >> He's not here yet. He's in another hearing. Senator Senator Murphy, >> the Epstein Files Transparency Act that
[4:54:34]I introduced with Ben Ray Luhan in the Senate was crystal clear. No records shall be withheld, delayed, or redacted on the basis of any of the following: embarrassment, reputational harm,
[4:54:46]political sensitivity, including any government official, public figure, or foreign dignitary. Well, here we are. Those 99 days have passed and what we have seen is the
[4:54:57]files have not been released according to the law. We have seen that victims names and photos that were supposed to be redacted weren't redacted. And all kinds of
[4:55:08]redactions appear to have occurred for folks who are potential perpetrators. And we're seeing the Epstein files
[4:55:18]reverberate across the world. the prime minister of Norway, the former ambassador from Britain to the United
[4:55:28]States, King Charles brother. But what about here in the United States of America? Why is there no accountability here in the United States of America for these atrocious crimes, the place where
[4:55:40]they occurred? We know that there were about 6 million pages, of which only somewhat more than three million have been released. We want those other three million released.
[4:55:51]And among them are these 50 pages that entail, as the New York Times said, claims made in 2019 by a woman who came forward after Mr. Epstein's arrest to
[4:56:02]say she'd been sexually assaulted by both Mr. Trump and Epstein when she was 13 to 15 years old. And it goes on to say that there were four interviews
[4:56:14]with this woman and only one of those interviews was released. Where are the other three? Now we know the other three exist because they are in the index
[4:56:25]and yet the pages are missing. How can anyone justify that these interviews have not been released?
[4:56:36]So that is a massive cover up by this administration. It's a massive and unacceptable cover up. We also know from the Telegraph
[4:56:47]that there are six secret storage units rented across the country by Epstein that may have contained information that the Department of Justice hasn't
[4:56:55]apparently attempted to retrieve. By unanimous consent, the Senate said yes,
[4:57:05]we passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Senator Schumer came forward and tried to strengthen that act with some real penalties and the Republican whip
[4:57:15]objected. Well, if Republicans were with us on seeking full disclosure, why object to putting more teeth into this bill? We
[4:57:27]all together, Democrats and Republicans, should be saying yes on transparency for the public, yes on accountability for
[4:57:37]the perpetrators, and yes for the closest thing we can get to justice for the victims. >> Senator Ggo has been relentless on this
[4:57:47]issue. Senator, >> thank you. Um, as we stated, princes, CEOs, the most powerful men in the world are being held accountable everywhere except the United States where we are
[4:57:58]supposed to be a country of equal justice uh under the law. Uh, we are actually proving quite uh the opposite. You know what we're proving here right now, what the Republicans are proving right now with the help of Donald Trump
[4:58:10]and Attorney General Pam Bondi is that if you are part of the Epstein class, if you are rich enough, you are powerful enough, you can do some really horrific
[4:58:18]things, raping children, raping women, engaging in sex trafficking, and this administration, the Republicans will
[4:58:27]engage in an active cover up for you. And even more so now we getting we're getting more reports of some real serious allegations of this president
[4:58:37]from a minor, a woman who was a minor uh that is accusing the president of some very serious serious crimes. The American public deserves to know what happened, who was involved, not just
[4:58:49]President Trump, but everyone else involved. All these powerful men that are still walking around the United States right now. We're only talking about a couple years removed, a decade removed from a lot of these allegations.
[4:59:00]These men are still in power. These men are still potentially victimizing women, victimizing children. And the fact that this administration is actively covering
[4:59:10]up past crimes potentially means they're covering up current crimes. It's time for us to have full transparency. It's time for us to have accountability. It's time for us to throw some people in jail
[4:59:22]that did some really horrible stuff against kids in this country. And the fact that Donald Trump and the Republicans after talking a big game for se so many years about going after
[4:59:32]pedophiles are actively covering up for pedophiles right now should tell you exactly what is wrong with this administration. I unfortunately am going to have to go read those uh
[4:59:44]redacted files uh next week. It's one of those things that you don't want to do. Uh the disgusting nature what I'm going to find on there is going to you'll probably make me uh a very ill. But
[4:59:55]because we have an administration that's actively covering up for pedophiles, uh we have to take this step and we have to take the step to keep them accountable and to expose all these pedophiles that
[5:00:06]are still in power right now all over this country. Thank you. And just one more point which this um this article from the New York Times shows more and
[5:00:18]more is keep more and more keeps coming out and the more we that comes out the more we see how large their coverup has been questions on this subject but yes
[5:00:29]in the back >> yeah we're all going together yeah I mentioned that in my remarks yes yes I don't know if we're going to get
[5:00:40]we're all going and we have set up appointments to go. Yes, >> leader Schumer, you asked for unanimous consent on the floor a few weeks ago with Baraso objective. What is your core
[5:00:50]strategy moving forward to kind of get Senate action on this? >> Well, the bottom line is the Republicans all voted for it, every single one. And we're going to keep at it. We're going to use every strategy we can going to
[5:01:01]the Justice Department seeking lawsuits as well as whatever legislative strategies will work. >> Yes. Over in the House side, the Clintons are being deposed starting
[5:01:12]today and tomorrow investigation. Just your general reaction. >> Look, all the truth should come out. Period. >> Yes. >> Thank you, Senator Schumer from the Italian National. Just two quick
[5:01:23]questions. One, do you also see a difference in the treatment that this case has been in Europe and >> as my colleagues well outlined, I agree. >> Second question, how do we act people
[5:01:34]who say that Democrats and Republicans are enacting a new basically judging guilty by association whoever is in the email or >> Yeah. All we want is the truth. The truth.
[5:01:45]>> Is there any danger? >> Was there any effort to reach out to the woman who made this against President Trump? >> Uhhuh. Uh there will be efforts to reach out to everyone who's willing to come forward and speak. And do you want to
[5:01:57]talk about that? Uh >> I think I mentioned it right. >> Yeah. >> Letter on preserving evidence and witnesses. >> Yeah. So we can get it. Yes. When you
[5:02:08]see the unredacted documents, what can the public expect from you to inform them? Can you do anything to inform them? >> Well, let's we we're not going to prejudge. Let's see what's in the documents. We want to protect people's
[5:02:18]identities, but we also want the truth to come out and we will walk that line uh with with with great vigor. >> Yes. >> Um there are an additional 3 million
[5:02:28]files that have not been released and many it seems that the files that have been released remain redacted or have redacted. So what steps are you taking to ensure that those redactions are
[5:02:40]>> Yeah, we're going to demand justification for any redactions. And if the redactions are coverups as opposed to protecting identities, we're going to get to the bottom of it. >> We're going to get to the bottom of it.
[5:02:50]Okay. Thank you everybody. >> All right, everyone. That was from
[5:03:01]yesterday. Just wanted to bring that to you as well here on Live Now from Fox. All right, we are getting a statement from the former President Bill Clinton. Just like yesterday, the statement was
[5:03:11]put out by Hillary Clinton. Let's read for you right now. Uh former President Clinton's opening statement to the House Oversight and Government Reform
[5:03:23]Committee. It says, "Good morning. Welcome to Chapaqua. I'm here today for two reasons. The first is that I love my country and America was built upon the idea that no person is above the law,
[5:03:35]even presidents, especially presidents. Democracy requires every person to play their part. And I hope that by being here today, we can bring ourselves a
[5:03:45]little further away from the brink and uh back to being a country where we can disagree with one another civily, where the search for truth and justice outweighs the partisan urge to score
[5:03:56]points and create spectacle. I'll do my part and I hope you will do yours as well. The second reason I'm here is that the girls and women whose lives Jeffrey Epstein destroyed deserve not only
[5:04:08]justice but healing. They've been waiting too long for both. Though my brief acquaintance with Epstein ended years before his crimes came to light and thought I never witnessed during our
[5:04:19]limited interaction. It says, "And though I never witnessed during our limited interactions an indication of which was truly going on, I am here to offer what little I know so
[5:04:31]that it might prevent anything like this from ever happening again. But before we start, I have to get personal. You made Hillary come in. She had nothing to do
[5:04:40]with Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing. She has no memory of even meeting him. She neither traveled with him nor visited any of his properties. Whether you subpoena 10 people or 10,000, including
[5:04:52]her, was simply not right. We begin this hearing with me raising my hand and taking an oath to tell the truth. But everyone has a responsibility to be honest with
[5:05:03]those that they represent. Whether you raised your right hand or not, each and every one of us owes nothing less than the truth and accuracy to the American
[5:05:13]people. And it goes on to say, "Now, let me say what you're going to hear from me.
[5:05:23]First, I had no idea of the crimes uh Epstein was committing. No matter how many photos you show me, I have two things that at the end of the day matter more than your interpretation of those
[5:05:34]20 yearear-old photos. I know what I saw and more importantly what I didn't see. I know what I did and more importantly what I didn't do. I saw nothing and I
[5:05:43]did nothing wrong. As someone who grew grew up in a home with domestic abuse, not only would I have not flown on his plane, if I had any inkling of what he
[5:05:53]was doing, I would have turned him in myself and led the call for justice for his crimes, not sweetheart deals. But even with 2020 hindsight, I saw nothing
[5:06:03]that ever gave me pause. We are only here because he hid it from everyone so well for so long. And by the time it
[5:06:12]came to light with his 2008 guilty plea, I long stopped associating with him. You'll often hear me say that I don't recall. That might be unsatisfying, but
[5:06:23]I'm not going to say something I'm not sure of. This was all a long time ago, and I'm bound by my oath not to speculate or to guess. This is not
[5:06:33]merely for my benefit, but because it doesn't help you for me to play detective 24 years later. Since I am under oath, I will not falsely state that I am looking forward to your
[5:06:44]questions, but I am ready to answer them to the best of my abilities, consistent with the facts as I know them, the legitimate, the logical, and even the outlandish. With that, Mr. Chairman,
[5:06:56]fire away. So, that was the opening statement by the former President Bill Clinton. to pictures and correspondence between
[5:07:14]Epstein, Maxwell, and Bill Clinton. These are all questions that we're going to ask today. >> Yesterday, you both told me that you were planning on asking about an email that Howard Lutnik sent to Jeffrey
[5:07:25]Epste, I presume, about a Hillary Clinton fundraiser. I think that was the one. He's worth asking about. Is he not worth asking in to talk about what he might know? Yeah. Um, and I think it'll be
[5:07:36]interesting when we hopefully get that video out later today or or or demire as quick as we can get it out. I think it'll be interesting what Hillary Clinton said about Howard Lutnik >> and how she said it >> and how she said it. We look I think
[5:07:48]that was Miss Mace. >> Right, everyone. I do want to just get out of this right now because we do have Representative Anna Paulina speaking right now with the House Republicans.
[5:07:59]Let's listen in. Couple more people.
[5:08:23]>> Yeah, you're fine. I >> think everyone hopped off to go to lunch. We have pools here, right?
[5:08:36]>> Pool's here. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Um All right. Well, first >> don't stay in front of the pool, please. Thank you. >> Um just first of all, a quick update. President Clinton is being very
[5:08:47]cooperative. Um I do want to point out because I have seen some back and forth in regards to some of the Democrats trying to call in not credible witnesses. And I won't get into the nature of what I've asked the president
[5:08:58]specifically until after the deposition is over. Um, but to be clear, we've had two witnesses or not two witnesses, two individuals um, one that accuses
[5:09:09]President Clinton of unfounded allegations um, of there being sex tapes, etc. by the name of Sarah Ransom. And there was a uh, an individual under the name of Katie Johnson that also had
[5:09:20]unfounded allegations of rape against our sitting president of the United States. both being um claims that did not have evidence for for grounds of that. And so just as we wouldn't call in
[5:09:32]an individual like Sarah Ransom who we know um made up claims, we're not going to do the same thing for President Trump. So I think to be able to um bring that up and conflate the two with this
[5:09:42]investigation is wrong. And and I want to be very clear on record. I don't believe that Sarah claims had valid claims against President Trump in regards to what she was uh President Clinton as in regards to what she was alleging. Um, just as I don't believe
[5:09:54]that there are valid claims against President Trump by the individual of the name of Katie Johnson, what I will say is it has become very evident even in the last 24 hours in lines of
[5:10:04]questioning that Jeffrey Epstein was running a intelligence gathering operation. In my professional opinion, I do believe it was a honeypot operation. And I do believe that there's a list of
[5:10:15]individuals who did engage in trafficking was given these plea deals. And I'm going to name those individuals right now. The first one would be Leslie Grath. The second one Sarah Kellen, the
[5:10:24]third one, Nadia Marova, and the fourth one, Adriana Ross. All of these women engaged trafficking uh engaged in the trafficking of minors as adults. They were working and complicit with Jeffrey
[5:10:36]Epstein's operation. And in my opinion, they are not to be given victim status because they did partake in harming harming young girls. Um, I remember seeing in some of the files some of
[5:10:47]these girls were, you know, as young as 10, 11 years old and older. And so, obviously, we have a lot of work to do, but I did want to come and give an update and let you know that President Clinton, as of right now, is cooperative
[5:10:59]and answering answering all of our questions. Um, and that it leads me to believe that if we can remove the partisan nature of this investigation, we actually might be able to get justice. And so I will be calling on the
[5:11:10]um the oversight committee to bring in those four individuals that I just listed. We will continue to conduct the investigation and provide updates shortly for all of you. >> What has the former president said to
[5:11:21]the committee about >> um I can't get into the specifics of the deposition because it's still currently
[5:11:32]going on. But again, he's being very cooperative and I think that that statement is pretty on point with what we're hearing.
[5:11:40]>> Is uh former president saying anything? >> We will provide updates as soon as it's over. I don't want to um violate the
[5:11:52]trust that we have right now in the depositions. But I do think that we are at least getting a little bit more of a clearer picture. And I will say I'm not in favor and if there is a request to
[5:12:02]bring in an individual who's made false allegations against President Clinton, um I will be voting that down in committee just as I will be voting down any individuals that are brought forward that have made false claims against President Trump. I do think that there
[5:12:14]is a bit of partisan um smear attempts in this whole investigation. But it's important to note that Jeffrey Epste does have all of the telltale signs of an intelligence gathering operation. I think we all know that. Um I do believe
[5:12:25]that because of the people in power and influence specifically presidents etc that he was targeting that there is an aspect of you know um foreign governments trying to pit some of us
[5:12:37]against against each other using this topic and so we're more focused on that as well as bringing justice to the victims and there is no justice when traffickers are given plea deals and so we'll be following up on that as well.
[5:12:48]Congressman, I know you seemed cooperative. Do you believe his statement when he said, "I saw nothing and I did nothing wrong." >> Um, I'm going to go back in and what I
[5:12:58]will say is that I I don't have any reason to believe right now that he's hiding the ball and everything. He's been pretty transparent. >> And is it your belief and or the belief
[5:13:07]that the former president was targeted by Jeff Jeffrey Epste on behalf of foreign nation? >> I it is in my opinion. And I don't think
[5:13:18]the opinion of the committee, but I do believe that Jeffrey Epste was targeting many politicians. Um, many influential people, especially in regards to economic policy, etc. And I do believe
[5:13:29]that it was possible that not just him, but likely Secretary Clinton as well as a number of other people were targeted um due to an intelligence gathering operation. I think the American people will agree with me on that. But again, I don't want to get into too much of the
[5:13:40]specifics of the deposition. and I will be able to tell you at least once this is over and we will be also trying to release those recordings from Secretary's deposition yesterday as well as President Clinton's as soon as
[5:13:50]possible. Thank you guys. >> All right, Representative Anna Paulina there uh giving the latest updates right
[5:13:59]here for you on live now from Fox again. Representative Anna Paulina Luna giving the latest updates from the Republican side as uh they are in now the lunch
[5:14:10]period. We're going to continue on with more on Live Now from Fox. >> Maxwell and Bill Clinton. These are all
[5:14:20]questions that we're going to ask today. >> Yesterday you both told me that you were planning on asking about an email that Howard Lutnik sent to Jeffrey Epste and I presume about a Hillary Clinton fundraiser. I think that was the one
[5:14:32]he's worth asking about. Is he not worth asking in to talk about what he might know? >> Yeah. Um and I think it'll be interesting when we hopefully get that video out later today or or or Demar as
[5:14:44]quick as we can get it out. I think it'll be interesting what Hillary Clinton said about Howard Lutnik >> and how she said it >> and how she said it. We look I think that was Miss Mace uh with the line of questioning. So, there was a pretty
[5:14:55]thorough line of questioning yesterday between Miss Mace and uh Miss Clinton with respect to Lutnik. And I think you all find it very interesting what she had to say. But but we're going to
[5:15:05]continue to uh you know ask questions of of everyone that's that shows up in photos on the island and things like that. >> Secretary, I will be asking for him. Yes, >> you will. >> Go ahead.
[5:15:17]>> Uh thank you, Mr. Chair. Obviously, we heard from Secretary Clinton after her deposition. She described the session as repetitive. She said it veered off topics. She was asked about things like
[5:15:28]UFOs, pizza gate. Can you explain why those topics were brought up and also in light of the release of that photo? >> And she also said there were substantive questions yesterday, too. But one reason
[5:15:40]there were repetitive questions about Epstein is because we went through every email and every correspondence that implied uh Hillary Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein communicated often. You all have
[5:15:51]seen the email where he said uh that she looks better in person and all of that. Those were questions we asked. So every every item of evidence that would suggest
[5:16:02]Hillary Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein had a close relationship, we went and asked about that. So it may have seemed repetitive because there was a lot of documentation that would suggest that
[5:16:14]>> she had a relationship with Epstein. So go ahead. >> Clear. Um, Miss uh, Secretary Clinton actually asked about the NDAA. Sorry. Go ahead. >> Um, to be clear, Secretary Clinton actually asked us about what happened
[5:16:25]with the disclosure language in the NDAA. So, I mean, I know she's trying to pivot from the fact that she's here and she had a very close relationship regarding the Clinton Foundation and Epstein and Maxwell, but the point is
[5:16:36]is, and I think I'd like to uh hit on this with probably Miss Mace here. Um, but I think we have a very important interest and and curiosity about what specifically the co-conspirators had a
[5:16:46]role in all this, right? Um, we know for a fact that some of these were women and I think that today, at least with my line of questioning, um, you know, I'm curious about that. Why is it that these women were giving plea deals as adults
[5:16:57]for trafficking minors? Um, how much of that did they witness, etc. And so, you know, I I don't know that Secretary Clinton was all that honest about the context of this investigation. We asked
[5:17:08]extensively about intelligence ties, whether or not she felt that she was targeted as a result of possibly an intelligence gathering operation and she was very curiously interested in that and then also um you'll hear it in the
[5:17:20]response but had told us to follow up with a few countries, one of which is our ally. So that's interesting. >> That was House Republicans earlier today
[5:17:31]speaking a part of of course the oversight committee. We are tracking always the very latest here for you on live now from Fox. Our um we are going
[5:17:41]to be ending this feed here in just a moment. I'll be on the main feed for you continuing to give you updates and uh we are we will all be waiting to see if today will be the day we get the Hillary
[5:17:52]Clinton video testimony from yesterday.
