[9:32]>> Still gate. >> We will we will all be down once they come in. >> That gate is already in the >> No, no. They're going to have to come

[18:09]>> Cast them into the ease. How could you? Me. What happened? Fall down.
[18:51]Welcome everyone here on Live Now from Fox. Our continuing coverage uh will happen as we have more details for you any moment. Hillary Clinton deposition
[19:02]will get going and you're taking a live look here in New York. We appreciate all our viewers continuing to join us worldwide here for you. I'm your host
[19:13]Mike Pace. We'll be really gearing you up for this moment when we see Hillary Clinton and we are expecting any moment Representative Comr to be giving us some
[19:24]updates as well. So, we'll be bringing that to you as soon as it does get going. We have multiple camera shots here available to us and uh again this
[19:36]will be quite the scene um as we see the former Secretary of State uh just moments away everyone. So stay right
[19:45]here with us on live now from Fox. We are going to be continuing to bring you this coverage all in real time. Well, good. There was nothing.
[20:13]>> Cars. Cars. >> She wasn't in the van. >> I ain't. >> All right, everyone. And we do have
[20:28]James Comr right now. Representative Comr, let's listen in. >> Subpoenas for uh uh various name. I think there were eight names originally uh including Bill and Hillary Clinton.
[20:39]Everyone that was included in that subpoena has already either been interviewed by the oversight committee or sent in a statement that they had
[20:49]never met Epstein and had no no knowledge of the investigation except the Clintons. Uh we worked for six months to get the Clintons to come in
[20:58]and then they um acted like they were going to come in and then they didn't show up and obviously we moved to hold the Clintons in contempt. And I think one thing that surprised the Clintons,
[21:09]they assumed the Democrats on the committee would vote in a in a partisan manner and not vote to hold the Clintons in contempt. And what they learned was a majority of the Democrats on the
[21:21]committee uh either voted to hold the Clintons in contempt or voted present. And I think that's a statement uh that this investigation is serious. Uh it is a bipartisan investigation. The American
[21:33]people have a lot of questions. Uh to my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered very many, if any, questions about their knowledge or involvement uh with Epstein
[21:42]and Maxwell. Again, no one's accusing at this moment the Clintons of any wrongdoing. They're going to have due process, but we have a lot of questions. And the purpose of the whole
[21:52]investigation is to try to understand uh many things about Epstein. How did he accumulate so much wealth? How was he able to surround himself with some of
[22:02]the most powerful men in the world? Uh was he an asset uh for our government or any other government? These are the questions that uh we're going to ask over the next two days and hopefully
[22:14]we'll be able to get some answers. And as always, uh we're going to release the transcripts. We're going to release the video as soon as uh everyone has approved it. The normal process in a
[22:25]deposition is the attorneys uh would have the opportunity to review the transcript and review the video to make sure that uh there are no errors. And uh this is going to be a long video because
[22:36]this is going to be a long deposition. Today will be a long deposition, I would assume. And tomorrow will be an even longer deposition. Every member of the oversight committee is going to have
[22:46]questions for the Clintons uh as well as our trained staff that do nothing but deposition. So uh after our hour of questioning, we're going to send a
[22:57]couple of members of the oversight committee out to be able to give you an update of what's going on and answer some questions. So with that, we'll answer a question or two and then we'll go back to
[23:06]>> Mr. Mr. Are you concerned that there has been a cover up of sexual abuse of a minor by President Trump? There are missing FBI records that appear to be >> No, we're looking into the the
[23:18]accusation by the NPR. Uh we don't know the the answer to that. We know what the administration says. We're still looking to to uh get a definitive answer on
[23:29]that. But look, let's let's just be realistic here. If you go by a lot of what the Democrats have said, you had uh Jasmine Crockett accused Lee Zelden of taking donations from Jeffrey Epste. It
[23:40]was the wrong Jeffrey Epstein. We've had Ro Kana sit on the floor and name names of people that were he thought were involved in Epstein that weren't even involved. So, uh you know, sometimes the Democrats on the committee aren't the
[23:51]best. Go ahead. Good morning. What about the idea though that I understand you you say that this is different with some of the members or some of the people who were subpoenaed who didn't have a direct contact but some folks have said it
[24:03]seems like you're the Clintons are basically on trial here versus people who know more about the uh you know what was going on with Maxwell, what was going on with Epstein and that this is really kind of dragging them through the
[24:14]mud when there are other witnesses. >> Let's let's let's address that Chad. The Democrats voted to subpoena the Clintons. The Democrats voted with the Republicans to hold the Clintons in
[24:25]contempt. So the Democrats have just as many questions for the Clintons as the Republicans. So this isn't a a partisan witch hunt. This was a motion, a bipartisan motion supported by the
[24:37]Democrats to bring the Clintons in. So I I don't think it's a any type of being unfair in any way to the Clintons. They've never answered questions unlike President Trump who gets questioned
[24:49]every day by just about every one of you about his knowledge or involvement with Epstein. To my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered very many questions. We'll do one more question. >> In the spirit of bipartisanship, would
[25:01]you then ask the commerce secretary Howard Lutney to come testify? It seems like he has some information. >> That's very possible. And I think there, you know, I think it's a good uh possibility that his name will arise in
[25:12]some questioning today. It'll be on my list and I have an email. I printed it off for Hillary to ask about Howard Lutnik today. So, >> guys, >> we're asking again uh and I want to remind everyone, we've already brought
[25:23]in Alex Aosta and Bill Barr for deposition. That's two Republicans in the in the Trump administration. So, this isn't just about Democrats. This is
[25:33]about anyone that has any knowledge of Epstein, the investigation. I think we all agree the government failed. The government failed the victims. And what our role is, we can't we can't prosecute
[25:45]anyone. But what we have been doing is getting transparency to the American people. We subpoenaed the estate. That had nothing to do with the discharge petition. We subpoenaed the uh the
[25:56]documents for the estate. That's what the victims asked us to do. And what you're seeing is there is accountability finally happening. you you've seen at least a dozen very powerful people, men
[26:06]and women, who have already resigned, uh many in disgrace from their board positions. So, uh we're seeing accountability, but we have uh a desire
[26:16]to see a lot more accountability. We want to get the answers and hopefully the next two days will be a step in the right direction on our >> one more and then that being said I mean
[26:30]Hillary Clinton has said she has no links to Jeffrey Epste. She doesn't recall meeting him. So what specific information do you believe she has that warrants her testimony? >> Well, we you'll see. I mean, we're going
[26:40]to ask a lot of questions, but but with respect to uh >> when you look at all the co-conspirators, and we've all seen the the unredacted documents, Maxwell is the main
[26:52]co-conspirator. No one brought more women in and lied to more women about what was going to happen with their involvement with Jeffrey Epstein than
[27:02]Gileain Maxwell. We know that obviously Maxwell was a guest at Chelsea Clinton's wedding. There weren't many people that went to that wedding. So, uh, again, we're not accusing Hillary Clinton of
[27:12]wrongdoing. We know that Jeffrey Epstein said many times in emails that he was the the first person to raise money for the Clinton initiative, the Clinton Foundation, that uh he solicited money
[27:24]at some of his properties for the Clinton Foundation. Again, that's not saying anything illegal, but uh there are a lot of questions pertaining to Secretary Clinton with respect to Epstein and his involvement in the
[27:35]Clinton initiative and her relationship with with Gain Maxwell. So, we'll come out every hour when we get finished and different members will update you and answer any questions. Thank you.
[27:45]>> Clinton's forced to go to Washington. >> Thank you. >> All right. House GOP led by
[27:56]Representative Comr speaking before the Clinton deposition. And again, we are expecting, like we just heard from Representative Comr, that he'll come
[28:06]back out and uh speak and and give us an update here as this is going on. And we're also learning that this is going to be a lengthy deposition. We are
[28:17]thinking about uh 7 to eight hours. So, uh, again, we'll be keeping an eye on everything that is happening for you right here on Live Now from Fox. But again, let's just uh give you some
[28:29]insight uh to what today is about and then we'll preview tomorrow as well as Hillary Clinton's testimony before members of the House Oversight and
[28:39]Government Reform Committee will focus on the federal government's handling of the investigations into Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirator Gain Maxwell, as well as potential
[28:51]ethics violations by elected officials. According to a person granted uh some of this information to share details of the plans for the closed door deposition in
[29:01]New York. The former Secretary of State testifying today, her husband, former President Bill Clinton will happen tomorrow. among the terms for Hillary
[29:11]Clinton's agreement to comply with a congressional subpoena and participate in the panel's Epstein investigation. She will agree to engage in questions
[29:21]about Epstein and Maxwell's efforts to exploit their connections to powerful figures such as the Clintons to protect themselves from accountability for their
[29:31]alleged sex trafficking crimes. The oversight oversight panel has also agreed to discuss the government's mishandling of the Epstein case, which began in Florida long after Bill Clinton
[29:42]left office. Notably, the list of agreed upon issues does not include unrelated topics that have long been a fixation among Republicans, such as Hillary
[29:52]Clinton's handling of the 2012 Benghazi attack while she was Secretary of State, or her use of a private email server for official communications. She was dogged
[30:03]by both issues as she ran for president in 2016 against Donald Trump. Neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing in connection with
[30:13]Epstein. Hillary Clinton has maintained she has no memory of meeting Epstein, while Bill Clinton has admitted to using Epstein's plane on several occasions,
[30:22]but has maintained he never visited his island. Both have said that they have no knowledge of his crimes. We also know that this closed door
[30:43]interview will be videotaped set to take place in New York where the Clintons have a house. The committee will meet with former President Bill Clinton uh
[30:52]tomorrow to do a similar deposition. The in-person interviews comes after months of bitter back and forth between the former first couple and the committee, which at one point threatened to hold
[31:04]the Clintons in contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a subpoena it issued back in August. The committee initially scheduled their death
[31:13]depositions for October. Committee chair James Comr, who we just saw, a Republican from Kentucky, has accused them of having given the panel the runaround since then. The Clintons had
[31:25]volunteered to testify at a public hearing, but Comr said the committee's practice is to conduct closed-d dooror interviews with witnesses before it holds hearings. The Clintons have
[31:35]repeatedly denied wrongdoing related to Epstein and have not been accused of any crimes in connection with him. Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee who lost the presidential election to Donald
[31:46]Trump back in 2016, has said they have little information to offer the panel about Epstein, who died in jail back in 2019 as he was awaiting trial on federal
[31:56]sex trafficking trafficking charges. She has accused the committee of using her and her husband to try to distract from Trump's lies to Epstein. Other witnesses
[32:08]were asked to testify. They have written statements under oath. We offered that. Um Hillary Clinton told the BBC back in an interview last week. Why do they want
[32:18]to pull us into this? To divert attention from President Trump. This is not complicated. She said undated photographs of Bill Clinton with Epstein and co-conspirator Galain Maxwell were
[32:30]released back in December in the first trunch of documents made public under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a 2025 law that requires the Justice Department to make public its
[32:42]investigative files relating to Epstein and Maxwell. It's unclear where the photos were taken. Bill Clinton's spokesperson has said that he traveled on Epstein's plane four times in 2002
[32:53]and 2003 on trips for his Clinton Foundation. It's unclear whether Hillary Clinton, who did not go on those trips, ever met Epstein, who pleaded guilty in Florida
[33:05]to a state charge of soliciting a minor back in 2008 and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. She told the BBC this month that she does not believe she met
[33:16]him. Hillary Clinton did however know Maxwell, who was convicted back in 2021 of federal sex trafficking charges, including conspiracy to entice minors to
[33:26]travel to engage in illegal sex acts. Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence. In an un in an unusual interview with Deputy Attorney General
[33:37]Todd Blanch last year, Maxwell said that President Clinton was my friend, not Epstein's friend, and that she was the one who asked Epstein to let Bill
[33:47]Clinton and other foundation members and guests use his plane back in 2002. It's unclear when Maxwell first met the former president. She said she was
[33:57]introduced to him by a mutual friend after he left office in 2001. She said she met Hillary Clinton at some point in either Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard in
[34:07]Massachusetts and I went to the House in New York a few times. All right, everyone. So, we are going to be keeping an eye on all of this. Remember, we do have this podium set up. We already heard from
[34:19]Representative Comr uh just a little bit ago. I want to replay that for you just because some of you are just joining our stream and we always appreciate that. But I just want to get everybody caught
[34:30]uh all caught up here uh as House GOP members just spoke. We will play that out for you and then get you some other updates as we await Hillary Clinton for
[34:40]this deposition. Tomorrow, of course, will be the former President Bill Clinton. included in that subpoena has already either been interviewed by the oversight
[34:51]committee or sent in a statement that they had never met Epstein and had no no knowledge of the investigation except the Clintons. We worked for six months
[35:01]to get the Clintons to come in and then they um acted like they were going to come in and then they didn't show up and obviously we moved to hold the Clintons
[35:11]in contempt. And I think one thing that surprised the Clintons, they assumed the Democrats on the committee would vote in a in a partisan manner and not vote to hold the Clintons in contempt. And what
[35:22]they learned was a majority of the Democrats on the committee. Uh either voted to hold the Clintons in contempt or voted present. And I think that's a statement uh that this investigation is
[35:34]serious. Uh it is a bipartisan investigation. The American people have a lot of questions. Uh to my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered very many, if any, questions about their knowledge
[35:45]or involvement uh with Epstein and Maxwell. Again, no one's accusing at this moment the Clintons of any wrongdoing. They're going to >> All right, everyone. That was
[35:54]Representative Comr uh just moments ago. We will get back to his statements, but I do want to take you out live right now. Looks like we do have Democrats now speaking on this issue. Let's listen in.
[36:06]We will actually be back out here to uh answer any questions once we've actually started the depositions, but we wanted to make some brief comments right now and then we'll go ahead and uh and go ahead and start.
[36:16]>> Um let me just begin by saying that oversight Democrats from from day one we have said that we want to talk to anyone any person with information about
[36:26]Jeffrey Epstein, about his crimes, about how he was able to get so much wealth. We will talk to any single person whether that is a Democrat, a
[36:36]Republican, how much wealth they have, how powerful their position is. We want to talk to anyone. So, we're happy to be here and we're glad that both Secretary Clinton and former President Clinton are
[36:47]willing to talk to this committee. I also think it's important to note I'm glad to see that we have our Republican colleagues here. There's a big group of them. I wish they would have joined us
[36:57]at the Les Wexner deposition, but I'm glad that they're here now to get questions answered that it's important part of our investigation. Uh let me just add that um as it relates to Secretary Clinton who's here today. Uh
[37:09]she has been very clear. Uh she's never met Jeffrey Epstein. We have no evidence of her having any interactions uh with Mr. Epstein. And so I think that's important to note as we walk into this
[37:19]deposition. Uh, but I also want to say, which I think is very important, that at this very moment, the Department of Justice continues to lead a White House
[37:29]cover up. And we're going to be demanding even over these next few days that the remaining files that have not been released get released to the public.
[37:39]And that includes new files that were just discovered in the last couple days of a survivor that has made serious accusations and
[37:49]allegations against not just Jeffrey Epstein, but also against President Trump and about abuse that she suffered when she was a
[38:00]minor. We have seen the DOJ files and the archive manifest that clearly shows that the interviews and information around
[38:11]this survivor have been removed and are missing from the DOJ files.
[38:20]Where are these files? Who removed them? Those questions have to be answered. What we have is a survivor that we have verified,
[38:32]that others have verified, and those files are missing. And it's not just those. It's an additional 50% of files that are missing. It is unconscionable.
[38:42]It is illegal. And Pam Bondi and the president need an answer to where those files are. And that's going to continue to drive our work, not just today, but every single day until we get justice
[38:53]for the survivors. I'm going to have um some of our our members here make a few comments as well. >> Thank you. Um it is abundantly clear that this is the most egregious cover up
[39:05]in American history. the recent reporting by the New York Times, NPR, and other media outlets that have verified this demonstrating that the
[39:15]Department of Justice, in addition to violating the law over and over again as they refuse to release the full and unredacted files, have withheld 50 pages
[39:26]of allegations against President Trump. This cover up needs to end immediately. I am glad that we are here today as part of this ongoing investigation because we
[39:36]will accept any information that anybody can give us about Jeffrey Epstein's vast child sex trafficking operation. I just want to say that young people in this
[39:48]country are watching right now. If the most powerful people in the United States of America, the elite and rich and powerful men and women are able to
[39:59]get away with these heinous crimes, then we are sending a horrible message to young people in this country that powerful people will always protect themselves and the rule of law does not
[40:10]apply to everyone. And so I look forward to the next two days and we know that there is so much more to uncover here and we expect to get answers from the
[40:21]Department of Justice immediately. Thank you. >> I'm Congressman Suasmanium. Uh we're here today in New York to talk to Hillary Clinton and tomorrow to talk to
[40:31]former President Bill Clinton. I I want to make clear that uh there were no Republicans in Ohio to talk to Les Wexner who bankrolled uh the Epstein's fortune for the most part and and
[40:43]allowed a lot of his crimes to happen. Yet Hillary Clinton who maintains that she doesn't recall meeting Jeffrey Epstein is here today and we have a lot of Republicans here today. That's
[40:53]underscores to me the partisan nature of what some of the Republicans on our committee and in Congress are are doing and the way they're approaching this investigation. And meanwhile, they're not holding the Department of Justice
[41:05]accountable for breaking the law over and over again. There's two and a half million files that have not been released. And now we're hearing and seeing evidence of some of those files,
[41:14]including accusations against President Trump. We know that there are other information in those files that clearly is not about protecting victims. It's about protecting people who committed
[41:26]crimes. And so we as Democrats on the oversight committee are going to continue to uh approach this investigation in a nonpartisan way because all we want is the truth and we want justice for the survivors and we
[41:37]want to make sure this never happens again no matter how rich and powerful the perpetrators are. Thank you. >> Speaking of rich and powerful, how come >> I'm I'm James Walkenshaw from Virginia.
[41:47]We are here today to continue our investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. And it's important to note and as others have said, there is no
[41:59]indication, zero, zip, zilch, natada, that Secretary Clinton had any knowledge of Epstein's crimes. She submitted a sworn statement that she never met
[42:10]Jeffrey Epstein. And my fear is we're here today as part of a a political exercise, part of a longunning fever dream where Republicans want to lock up
[42:21]Secretary Clinton. We had the State of the Union this week and uh President Trump spoke for two hours and refused to even acknowledge the courageous
[42:31]survivors of Epstein's crimes who were in the chamber. He wouldn't even address the issue. His attorney general refuses to even meet with the survivors. So, we
[42:43]want to conduct a serious bipartisan investigation. I'm glad that President Clinton will sit down with us tomorrow and answer questions about his
[42:52]relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, but I wanted to come today to ensure that this is a serious exercise, a serious investigation and not a political
[43:03]bipartisan one. Thank you. >> Why weren't the Clintons made to go to Washington to testify? >> I'll answer that. I'll answer that question. So, let me do this today. Let me go ahead. We're gonna answer two one or two questions. Let me just also say I
[43:14]think today also sets a precedent and so I want to be very clear that we have said from day one that we want to talk to former President Bill Clinton and the other person we want to talk to is
[43:26]current President Donald Trump. And so we should be very clear that now that we're going to hear from former President Clinton, I hope that Chairman Comr and the Republicans will join us in
[43:37]demanding that the person who actually appears more times in the files than the former president who we want to speak with is President Donald Trump. And so
[43:47]let's get President Trump in front of our committee to answer the questions that are being asked across this country
[43:57]from survivors and from those who've been brutally attacked and raped sometimes as children. Let's release the files and answer one or two questions. Thank you. >> So should the Clintons have come forward
[44:07]sooner to testify and be deposed in front of the committee? And also what are the discussions with Republicans about bringing other administration officials like Lutnik who are mentioned and filed before lawmakers.
[44:18]>> We want to hear from Howard Lutnik. Howard Lutnik, of course, uh said that he'd stopped communicating with Epstein, our commerce secretary, then goes on to visit Epstein's island, communicate with him, go into business with him, all of which was not disclosed. He should not
[44:30]be the commerce secretary right now. As relates to the questions about the location, the location was selected by Republicans. The majority controls where where and how the depositions are done. We want to continue hearing from folks.
[44:41]Um, just a question. What I mean, what could they possibly ask Hillary Clinton all day? Uh, they've mentioned Maxwell at the wedding. Um, and what questions you said you're happy to talk to anyone.
[44:52]What questions do you have for Hillary Clinton given that she said she has no connection? >> We're going to we're going to give the secretary an opportunity uh to clarify any questions that Republicans might have that we might have. Look, if she has any information that could be
[45:03]helpful to the investigation, we want to hear that. And so, we're we're going to find out here. We'll we'll report back what's actually uh being asked. But broadly speaking, um, anyone that has any information, whether they're
[45:13]Republicans or Democrats, we want a nonpartisan investigation and that's going to include ensuring that President Trump comes before our committee. >> Yes. >> Do you have questions about the Clinton Global Initiative and the fundraising fall?
[45:25]>> There's going to be questions asked about that. So, thank you very much. We'll come back out. >> Thank you. >> All right. That was uh House Democrats on the oversight committee speaking to
[45:36]the media taking some questions ahead of this deposition that will be happening oh just in moments right now. Hi everyone, Mike Pa here. Thanks so much
[45:46]for joining us on Live Now from Fox. We are going to continue our coverage. Wait for more key details that will be coming out. Representative Comr said during his
[45:57]news conference that he would pop out uh in about an hour. So, we'll be keeping an eye on this shot here for you all on live now from Fox. Uh, while uh I I as
[46:08]we just showcased the Democrats, I do want to now show uh Representative Comr and other Republicans on the House Oversight Committee just in case you missed it. Happened just a little bit
[46:18]ago. And that way we are showing both sides of the aisle right here for you. included in that subpoena has already either been interviewed by the oversight
[46:29]committee or sent in a statement that they had never met Epstein and had no no knowledge of the investigation except the Clintons. We worked for six months
[46:40]to get the Clintons to come in and then they um acted like they were going to come in and then they didn't show up and obviously we moved to hold the Clintons
[46:49]in contempt. And I think one thing that surprised the Clintons, they assumed the Democrats on the committee would vote in a in a partisan manner and not vote to hold the Clintons in contempt. And what
[47:01]they learned was a majority of the Democrats on the committee. Uh either voted to hold the Clintons in contempt or voted present. And I think that's a statement uh that this investigation is
[47:12]serious. Uh it is a bipartisan investigation. The American people have a lot of questions. Uh to my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered very many, if any, questions about their knowledge
[47:23]or involvement uh with Epstein and Maxwell. Again, no one's accusing at this moment the Clintons of any wrongdoing. They're going to have due process, but we have a lot of questions and the purpose of the whole
[47:35]investigation is to try to understand uh many things about Epstein. How did he accumulate so much wealth? How was he able to surround himself with some of
[47:46]the most powerful men in the world? Uh was he an asset uh for our government or any other government? These are the questions that uh we're going to ask over the next two days and hopefully
[47:57]we'll be able to get some answers. And as always, uh we're going to release the transcript. We're going to release the video as soon as uh everyone has approved it. The normal process in a
[48:08]deposition is the attorneys uh would have the opportunity to review the transcript and review the video to make sure that there are no errors. And uh this is going to be a long video because
[48:19]this is going to be a long deposition. Today will be a long deposition, I would assume, and tomorrow will be an even longer deposition. Every member of the oversight committee is going to have
[48:30]questions for the Clintons, uh as well as our trained staff that do nothing but deposition. So, uh, after our hour of questioning, we're going to send a
[48:41]couple of members of the oversight committee out to be able to give you an update of what's going on and answer some questions. So, with that, we'll answer a question or two and then we'll
[48:49]go back to Mr. Are you concerned that there has been a cover up of sexual abuse of a minor by President Trump? There are missing FBI records that appear to be
[49:00]>> No, we're looking into the the accusation by the NPR. uh we don't know the the answer to that. We know what the administration says. We're still looking
[49:09]to to uh get a definitive answer on that. But look, let's let's just be realistic here. If you go by a lot of what the Democrats have said, you had uh
[49:19]Jasmine Crockett accused Lee Zelden of taking donations from Jeffrey Epste. It was the wrong Jeffrey Epstein. We've had Ro Ka sit on the floor and name names of people that were he thought were involved in Epste that weren't even
[49:31]involved. So, uh, you know, sometimes the Democrats on the committee aren't the best. Mr. Chairman, good morning. What about the idea though that I understand you, you say that this is different with some of the members or
[49:42]some of the people who were subpoenaed who didn't have his direct contact, but some folks have said it seems like you're the Clintons are basically on trial here versus people who know more about the uh, you know, what was going
[49:53]on with Maxwell, what was going on with Epstein, and that this is really kind of dragging them through the mud when there are other witnesses. Well, let's let's let's let's address that, Chad. >> The Democrats voted to subpoena the
[50:05]Clintons. The Democrats voted with the Republicans to hold the Clintons in contempt. So, the Democrats have just as many questions for the Clintons as the Republicans. So, this isn't a a partisan
[50:15]witch hunt. This was a motion, a bipartisan motion supported by the Democrats to bring the Clintons in. So, uh, I I don't think it's a any type of
[50:26]being unfair in any way to the Clintons. They've never answered questions, unlike President Trump, who gets questioned every day by just about every one of you about his knowledge or involvement with
[50:36]Epstein. To my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered very many questions. One more question, >> in the spirit of bipartisanship, would you then ask the commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick, to come testify? It
[50:47]seems like he has some information. >> That's very possible. And I think there, you know, I think it's a good uh possibility that his name will arise in some questioning today. >> It'll be on my list and I have an email
[50:58]I printed off for Hillary to ask about Howard Lutnik today. So guys watching, >> we're asking again uh and I want to remind everyone, we've already brought in Alex Aosta and Bill Bar for
[51:10]deposition. That's two Republicans in the in the Trump administration. So this isn't just about Democrats. This is about anyone that has any knowledge of Epstein, the investigation. I think we
[51:21]all agree the government failed. The government failed the victims. And what our role is, we can't we can't prosecute anyone. But what we have been doing is getting transparency to the American
[51:33]people. We subpoenaed the estate. That had nothing to do with the discharge petition. We subpoenaed the uh the documents for the estate. That's what the victims asked us to do. And what
[51:42]you're seeing is there is accountability finally happening. You you've seen at least a dozen very powerful people, men and women, who have already resigned, uh
[51:52]many in disgrace from their board positions. So, uh we're seeing accountability, but we have uh a desire to see a lot more accountability. We want to get the answers and hopefully
[52:03]the next two days will be a step in the right direction on our >> one. That being said, I mean, Hillary Clinton has said she has no links to
[52:15]Jeffrey Epstein. She doesn't recall meeting him. So, what specific information do you believe she has that warrants her testimony? >> Well, we you'll see. I mean, we're going to ask a lot of questions, but but with
[52:25]respect to uh >> when you look at all the co-conspirators, and we've all seen the the unredacted documents, Maxwell is the main
[52:35]co-conspirator. No one brought more women in and lied to more women about what was going to happen with their involvement with Jeffrey Epstein than
[52:45]Gain Maxwell. We know that obviously Maxwell was a guest at Chelsea Clinton's wedding. There weren't many people that went to that wedding. So, uh, again, we're not accusing Hillary Clinton of
[52:56]wrongdoing. We know that Jeffrey Epstein said many times in emails that he was the the first person to raise money for the Clinton initiative, the Clinton Foundation, that uh he solicited money
[53:07]at some of his properties for the Clinton Foundation. Again, that's not saying anything illegal, but uh there are a lot of questions pertaining to Secretary Clinton with respect to Epstein and his involvement in the
[53:18]Clinton initiative and her relationship with with Klay Maxwell. We'll come out every hour when we get finished and different members will update you and answer any questions. Thank you. >> Clinton's forced to go to
[53:30]>> All right. Again, so we are going to be continuing to follow the very latest here. Hillary Clinton deposition just getting started and uh as soon as we get
[53:42]more details of course we will be bringing it to you all here on live now from Fox. Just wanted to update the lower third
[54:01]here for everyone as this deposition is now officially underway. And throughout the day, it seems like uh both Democrats and the Republicans when they do have a
[54:12]break, they will be giving us some updates. So, of course, we always appreciate that right here on Live Now from Fox. But let's continue to give you these
[54:27]updates as the Hillary Clinton deposition continues all here on Live Now from Fox. Members of the Republicanled House Oversight Committee
[54:38]are scheduled to question former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today as part of their investigation into the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. a closed door interview which will be
[54:50]videotaped and we should also know uh that let you know that we heard from Representative Comr and he said that at
[54:58]a later date we will receive the video of this deposition. So as soon as we receive that video, we're going to pump it right out to you on Live Now from
[55:09]Fox. The committee will meet with former President Bill Clinton tomorrow for a similar deposition. The in-person interviews come after months of bitter
[55:21]back and forth between the former first couple and the committee, which at one point threatened to hold the Clintons in contempt of Congress for failing to
[55:30]comply with a subpoena it issued back in August. The committee initially scheduled their depositions for October. Committee chair James Comr, a Republican from Kentucky, has accused them of
[55:42]having given the panel the runaround since then. The Clintons had volunteered to testify at a public hearing, but Comr said the committee's practice is to conduct closed-door interviews with
[55:53]witnesses before it holds hearings. The Clintons have repeatedly denied wrongdoing related to Epstein and have not been accused of any crimes in connection with him. Hillary Clinton,
[56:04]the Democratic nominee who lost the presidential election to Donald Trump back in 2016, has said they have little information to offer the panel about Epstein, who died in jail back in 2019
[56:16]as he was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. She has accused the committee of using her and her husband to try to distract from Trump's ties to
[56:26]Epstein. Other witnesses were asked to testify. They have written statements under oath. We offered that to Hillary Clinton told the BBC in an interview
[56:35]last week. Why do they want to pull us into this? She asked to divert attention from President Trump. She then asked her own answered her own question. Undated
[56:47]photographs of Bill Clinton with Epstein and co-conspirator Glen Maxwell were released in December in the first trunch of documents made public under the
[56:56]Epstein Files Transparency Act, a 2025 law that requires the Justice Department to make public its investigative files relating to Epstein and Maxwell. It's
[57:07]unclear where the photos were taken. Bill Clinton's spokesperson has said he traveled on Epstein's plane four times
[57:14]in 2022 and 2003 uh 2002. Uh I I want to make that clear. 2002 and 2003 on trips
[57:24]for his Clinton Foundation. It's unclear whether Hillary Clinton, who did not go on those trips, ever met Epstein, who pleaded guilty in Florida to state
[57:34]charge of soliciting a minor back in 2008 and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. She told the BBC this month that she does not believe she met him.
[57:45]Hillary Clinton did however know Maxwell, who was convicted in two 2021 of federal sex trafficking charges, including conspiracy to entice minors to
[57:56]travel to engage in illicit sex acts. Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence. In an unusual interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch last
[58:06]year, Maxwell said that President Clinton was my friend, not Epstein's friend, and that she was the one who was asked Epstein to let Bill Clinton and
[58:15]other foundation members and guests use his plane back in 2002. It's unclear when Maxwell first met the former president. and she said she was
[58:26]introduced to him by a mutual f friend friend after he left office in 2001. She said she met Hillary Clinton at some point in either Nantucket or Martha's
[58:38]Vineyard in Massachusetts and I went to the house a few times. Maxwell did not say when those trips were. She told Blanch that Bill Clinton was very close
[58:48]friends with billionaire Ted Wade who she said um that she dated back in 2003 to 2010. Maxwell and Wade both attended
[58:59]Chelsea Clinton's wedding in 2010. Maxwell was also spotted at a 2013 Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting in New York years after she had been
[59:10]publicly accused in a civil suit of helping Epstein groom and sexually abuse minors. It's unclear when she last saw
[59:19]or communicated with Hillary Clinton. In her BBC interview, the former Secretary of State uh that uh has said that she met Maxwell on a few occasions that
[59:31]thousands of people go to the Clinton Global Initiative. In her interview with Blanch, Maxwell was asked when she had
[59:40]last gone on a trip with or or has seen Bill Clinton. It was in was late 2000 and I don't know 16, 17, 18 something in
[59:50]it. It was in Los Angeles. She said, "I think he was hosting something or he was at an event and I was in LA. I had dinner with him." In a sw in a sworn
[1:00:00]declaration sent to the oversight committee last month, Bill Clinton said, "I have no recollection of when I first met Miss Maxwell, though I believe she was working for Mr. Epstein at the
[1:00:12]time." He he also added that she later began a personal relationship with a mutual friend. A separate declaration from Hillary Clinton used the same language about
[1:00:23]Maxwell and both Clintons said that they have no personal knowledge of either Epstein's or Maxwell's criminal activities. Maxwell told Blanch that she
[1:00:33]never saw Bill Clinton or Trump doing anything inappropriate. After her interview with Blanch, a former Trump attorney, Maxwell was transferred from a
[1:00:43]prison in Florida to a lower minimum security prison camp in Texas. So, we are continuing to roll on right here on Live Down from Fox giving you the
[1:00:54]updates. Again, the deposition is underway in New York. Representative Comr says at a later date we will see this video of this deposition and of
[1:01:06]course as soon as it's released to the public. You are going to see it on live now from Fox. Hillary Clinton's testimony before members of the House
[1:01:16]Oversight and Government Reform Committee focusing on the federal government's handling of the investigations into Jeffrey Epstein and
[1:01:24]his co-conspirator Gain Maxwell as well as potential ethics violations by elected officials according to a person granted uh information to share details
[1:01:36]of the plans for this closed door deposition out in New York. the former Secretary of State testifying today and her husband, former President Bill
[1:01:44]Clinton, being deposed tomorrow. Among the terms for Hillary Clinton's agreement to comply with this congressional subpoena and participate
[1:01:55]in the panel's Epstein investigation, she will agree to engage in questions about Epstein and Maxwell's efforts to exploit their connections to powerful figures such as the Clintons to protect
[1:02:06]themselves from accountability for their alleged sex trafficking crimes. The person said the oversight panel has also agreed to discuss the government's mishandling of the Epstein case, which
[1:02:17]began in Florida long after Bill Clinton left office. Notably, the list agreed upon issues does not include unrelated topics that have long been a fixation among Republicans, such as Hillary
[1:02:29]Clinton's handling of the 2012 Benghazi attack while she was Secretary of State, or her use of a private email server for official communications. She was dogged by both issues as she ran for president
[1:02:40]in 2016 against Donald Trump. Neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epste. Hillary Clinton has m maintained that she has no memory of meeting
[1:02:52]Epstein, while Bill Clinton has admitted to using Epstein's plane on several occasions, but has maintained he never visited the island. Both have said that
[1:03:02]they have no knowledge of his crimes. Hillary. >> All right, everyone. I do want to now
[1:03:13]read to you Hillary Clinton's statement. It was just released on her ex. I want to bring this here to you. This is the opening statement that she is giving
[1:03:22]during this deposition. So, let me read that to you right now on Live Now from Fox. It goes as, "Mr. Chairman, ranking member, members of the committee, as a
[1:03:34]former senator, I have respect for legislative oversight, and I expect its exercise, as do the American people, to be principled and fearless in pursuit of
[1:03:45]truth and accountability. As we all know, however, too often, congressional investigations are partisan political theater, which is an abdication of duty
[1:03:56]and an insult to the American people. The committee justified its subpoena to me based on its assumption that I have information regarding the investigations into the criminal activities of Jeffrey
[1:04:08]Epstein and Golain Maxwell. Let me be as clear as I can. I do not. As I stated in my sworn declaration back on January 13th, I had no idea about their criminal
[1:04:20]activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein. I never flew on his plane or visited his island homes or offices. I have nothing to add to
[1:04:30]that. Like every decent person, I have been horrified by what we have learned about their crimes. It's unfathomable that Mr. Epstein initially got a slap in
[1:04:41]the wrist back in 2008, which allowed him to continue his predatory practices for another decade. Mr. Chairman, your investigation is supposed to be assessing the federal government's
[1:04:52]handling of the investigations and prosecutions of Epstein and his crimes. You subpoenaed eight law enforcement officials, all of whom ran the
[1:05:03]Department of Justice or directed the FBI when Epstein's crimes were investigated and prosecuted. Of those eight, only one appeared before the committee. Five of the six former
[1:05:13]attorney generals were allowed to submit brief statements, stating they had no information to provide. You have had zero public hearings, refused to allow the media to attend them, including
[1:05:24]today, despite exposing the need for transparency on dozens of occasions. You have made little effort to call the people who show up prominently in the
[1:05:35]Epstein files. And when you did, not a single Republican member showed up for Les Wexner's deposition. It goes on to say the institutional
[1:05:53]failure is designed to protect one political party and one political official rather than to seek truth and justice for the victims and survivors as
[1:06:04]well as the public who also want to get to the bottom of this matter. My heart breaks for the survivors and I am furious on their behalf. I've spent my
[1:06:14]life advocating for women and girls. I have worked hard to stop the terrible abuses so many women and girls face here around the world, including human trafficking, forced labor, and sexual
[1:06:26]slavery. For for too long, these have been largely invisible crimes or not treated as crimes at all. But the survivors are real and they are entitled
[1:06:36]to better. In Southeast Asia, I met girls as young as 12 years old who were forced into prostitution and raped repeatedly. Some were dying of AIDS. In Eastern Europe, I met mothers who told
[1:06:47]me that they lost daughters to trafficking and did not know where to turn. In settings around the world, I met survivors trying to rebuild their lives and help rescue others with little
[1:06:57]support from people in power who too often turned a blind eye and a cold shoulder. If you are new to this issue, let me tell you, Jeffrey Epstein was a heinous individual, but he's far from
[1:07:09]alone. This is not a oneoff tabloid sensation or a political scandal. It's a global problem with an unimaginable
[1:07:18]human toll. My work combating sex trafficking goes back to the my first days as first lady. I worked to pass the first federal legislation against
[1:07:29]trafficking and was proud that my husband signed the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, which increased support for survivors and gave prosecutors better tools for going after
[1:07:40]traffickers. As Secretary of State, I appointed a former federal prosecutor to ramp up our global anti-trafficking efforts. I
[1:07:49]oversaw nearly 170 anti-trafficking programs in 70 nations and directly pressed foreign leaders to crack down on trafficking networks in their countries.
[1:08:00]Every year, we published a global report to shine a light on abuses. The findings of those reports triggered sanctions on countries failing to make progress, so
[1:08:09]they became a powerful diplomatic tool to drive concrete action. I insisted that the United States be included in the report for the first time ever back
[1:08:19]in 2011 because we must hold ourselves not just the same standard as the rest of the world, but to an even higher one. Sex trafficking in modern slavery should
[1:08:30]have no place in America. None. The Secretary Clinton's opening statement continues saying the Trump administration gutted the trafficking in
[1:08:41]person's office at the State Department, cutting more than 70% of the career civil and foreign service experts who worked so hard to prevent trafficking
[1:08:52]crimes. The annual trafficking report required by law was delayed for months. The message from the Trump administration to the American people and the world could not be clear.
[1:09:02]Combating human trafficking is no longer an American priority under the Trump White House. This is a tragedy. It's a scandal. It deserves vigorous
[1:09:11]investigation and oversight. A committee endeavoring to stopping human trafficking would seek to understand what specific steps are needed to fix a
[1:09:21]system that allowed Epstein to get away with his crimes back in 2008. A committee run by elected officials with a commitment to transparency would ensure the full rel release of all the
[1:09:32]files. It would ensure that the awful redactions of those files protected the victims and survivors, not powerful men and political allies. It would go and
[1:09:42]get to the bottom of reports that DOJ withheld FBI interviews in which a survivor accuses President Trump of heinous crimes. It would subpoena anyone
[1:09:52]who asked on which night there would be the wildest party on Epstein's island. It would demand testimony from prosecutors in Florida and New York
[1:10:02]about why they gave Epstein a sweetheart deal and chose not to pursue others who may have been implicated. It would demand this that Secretary Rubio and Attorney General Bondi testify about why
[1:10:13]this administration is abandoning survivors and playing into the hands of traffickers. It would seek out officers not on the front lines of the fight and
[1:10:24]ask them what support they need. It would be put forth legislation to provide more resources and force the administration to act. But that's not
[1:10:35]happening. Instead, you have compelled me to testify, fully aware that I have no acknowledge, no knowledge that would assist you in the investigation in order to distract attention from President
[1:10:46]Trump's actions and to cover them up despite legitimate calls for answers. If this committee is serious about learning the truth about Epstein's trafficking crimes, it would not rely on press
[1:10:57]gaggles to get answers from our current president on his involvement. It would ask him directly under oath about the tens of thousands of times he showed up
[1:11:07]on in the Epstein files. If the majority was serious, it would not waste time on fishing expeditions. There is too much that needs to be done. What is being
[1:11:18]held back? Who is being protected? And why the cover up? My challenge to you, Mr. Chairman, members of the committee, is the same challenge I put to myself
[1:11:29]throughout my long service in this nation. How to be worthy of the trust of the American people has given you. They expect statesmanship, not gamesmanship.
[1:11:40]Leading, not grandstanding. They expect you to use your power to get to the truth and to do more to help survivors of Epstein's crimes as well as the
[1:11:49]millions more who are victims of sex trafficking. Again, that was the fourpage Secretary Clinton's opening statement that she just read to uh the
[1:12:01]committee just moments ago. And again, we are waiting for more key updates coming from inside uh this area where this uh deposition is now underway. Of
[1:12:12]course, we'll always be bringing you these updates all here on Live Now from Fox. I do now want to uh showcase to you House Democrats just moments ago
[1:12:22]speaking to the media and we're going to bring that to you right here on Live Now from Fox. >> Well, good morning everyone. Uh my name
[1:12:41]is Robert Garcia. I am the ranking member for the Oversight Democrats. Uh we're here today, of course, for uh two days of depositions of both Secretary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton. So, I'm going to have some
[1:12:52]general comments. We will actually be back out here to uh answer any questions once we've actually started the depositions, but we wanted to make some brief comments right now and then we'll
[1:13:02]go ahead and uh and go in and start. Um, let me just begin by saying that oversight Democrats from from day one we have said that we want to talk to anyone any person that information about
[1:13:13]Jeffrey Epstein, about his crimes, about how he was able to get so much wealth, we will talk to any single person, whether that is a Democrat, a
[1:13:23]Republican, how much wealth they have, how powerful their position is, we want to talk to anyone. So, we're happy to be here and we're glad that both Secretary Clinton and former President Clinton are
[1:13:34]willing to talk to this committee. I also think it's important to note I'm glad to see that we have our Republican colleagues here. There's a big group of them. I wish they would have joined us
[1:13:44]at the Les Wexner deposition, but I'm glad that they're here now to get questions answered that it's important part of our investigation. Uh, let me just add that um as it relates to Secretary Clinton who's here today, uh,
[1:13:56]she has been very clear. uh she's never met Jeffrey Epstein. We have no evidence of her having any interactions uh with Mr. Epstein. And so I think that's important to note as we walk into this
[1:14:07]deposition. Uh but I also want to say, which I think is very important, that at this very moment, the Department of Justice continues to lead a White House
[1:14:17]cover up. And we're going to be demanding even over these next few days that the remaining files that have not been released get released to the public.
[1:14:27]And that includes new files that were just discovered in the last couple days of a survivor that has made serious accusations and
[1:14:37]allegations against not just Jeffrey Epstein but also against President Trump and about abuse that she suffered when she was a
[1:14:48]minor. We have seen the DOJ files and the archive manifest that clearly shows that the interviews and information around
[1:14:59]this survivor have been removed and are missing from the DOJ files.
[1:15:08]Where are these files? Who removed them? Those questions have to be answered. What we have is a survivor that we have verified,
[1:15:20]that others have verified, and those files are missing. And it's not just those. It's an additional 50% of files that are missing. It is unconscionable.
[1:15:29]It is illegal. And Pam Bondi and the president need an answer to where those files are. And that's going to continue to drive our work, not just today, but every single day until we get justice
[1:15:41]for the survivors. I'm going to have um some of our our members here make a few comments as well. >> Thank you. Um it is abundantly clear that this is the most egregious cover up
[1:15:53]in American history. The recent reporting by the New York Times, NPR, and other media outlets that have verified this demonstrating that the
[1:16:03]Department of Justice, in addition to violating the law over and over again as they refuse to release the full and unredacted files, have withheld 50 pages
[1:16:13]of allegations against President Trump. This cover up needs to end immediately. I am glad that we are here today as part of this ongoing investigation because we
[1:16:24]will accept any information that anybody can give us about Jeffrey Epstein's vast child sex trafficking operation. I just want to say that young people in this
[1:16:36]country are watching right now. If the most powerful people in the United States of America, the elite and rich and powerful men and women are able to
[1:16:46]get away with these heinous crimes, then we are sending a horrible message to young people in this country that powerful people will always protect themselves and the rule of law does not
[1:16:57]apply to everyone. And so I look forward to the next two days and we know that there is so much more to uncover here and we expect to get answers from the
[1:17:08]Department of Justice immediately. Thank you. >> I'm Congressman Suas Cramanium. Uh we're here today in New York to talk to Hillary Clinton and tomorrow to talk to
[1:17:19]former President Bill Clinton. I I want to make clear that uh there were no Republicans in Ohio to talk to Les Wexner who bankrolled uh the Epstein's fortune for the most part and and
[1:17:30]allowed a lot of his crimes to happen. Hillary Clinton who maintains that she doesn't recall meeting Jeffrey Epstein is here today and we have a lot of Republicans here today. That's
[1:17:41]underscores to me the partisan nature of what some of the Republicans on our committee and in Congress are are doing and the way they're approaching this investigation. And meanwhile, they're not holding the Department of Justice
[1:17:52]accountable for breaking the law over and over again. There's 2 and a2 million files that have not been released. And now we're hearing and seeing evidence of some of those files, including
[1:18:03]accusations against President Trump. We know that there are other information in those files that clearly is not about protecting victims. It's about protecting people who committed crimes.
[1:18:14]And so we as Democrats on the oversight committee are going to continue to uh approach this investigation in a nonpartisan way because all we want is the truth and we want justice for the survivors and we want to make sure this
[1:18:26]never happens again no matter how rich and powerful the perpetrators are. Thank you. >> Speaking of rich and powerful, how come? I'm I'm James Walkenshaw from Virginia.
[1:18:35]We are here today to continue our investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. And it's important to note and as others have said, there is no
[1:18:47]indication, zero, zip, zilch, natada, that Secretary Clinton had any knowledge of Epstein's crimes. She submitted a sworn statement that she never met
[1:18:58]Jeffrey Epstein. And my fear is we're here today as part of a a political exercise, part of a longunning fever dream where Republicans want to lock up
[1:19:09]Secretary Clinton. We had the State of the Union this week and uh President Trump spoke for two hours and refused to even acknowledge the courageous
[1:19:19]survivors of Epstein's crimes who were in the chamber. He wouldn't even address the issue. His attorney general refuses to even meet with the survivors. So, we
[1:19:30]want to conduct a serious bipartisan investigation. I'm glad that President Clinton will sit down with us tomorrow and answer questions about his
[1:19:40]relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, but I wanted to come today to ensure that this is a serious exercise, a serious investigation and not a political
[1:19:50]partisan one. Thank you. >> Why weren't the Clintons to go to Washington to testify? >> I'll answer I'll answer that question. So, let me do this today. Let me go ahead. We're going to answer two one or two questions. Let me just also say I
[1:20:02]think today also sets a precedent. So I want to be very clear that we have said from day one that we want to talk to former President Bill Clinton and the other person we want to talk to is
[1:20:13]current President Donald Trump. And so we should be very clear that now that we're going to hear from former President Clinton, I hope that Chairman Comr and the Republicans will join us in
[1:20:25]demanding that the person who actually appears more times in the files than the former president who we want to speak with is President Donald Trump. And so
[1:20:34]let's get President Trump in front of our committee to answer the questions that are being asked across this country
[1:20:44]from survivors from those who have been brutally attacked and raped sometimes as children. Let's release the files and answer one or two questions. Thank you. >> So should the Clintons have come forward
[1:20:55]sooner to testify and be deposed in front of the committee? And also what are the discussions with Republicans about bringing other administration officials like Lenick who are mentioned in files for lawmakers?
[1:21:06]>> We want to hear from Howard Lutnik. Howard Lutnik of course said that he stopped communicating with Epstein our commerce secretary then goes on to visit Epste's island, communicate with him, go into business with him. All of which was
[1:21:16]not disclosed. He should not be the commerce secretary right now. As it relates to the questions about the location, the location was selected by Republicans. The majority controls where where and how these depositions are done. We want to continue hearing from
[1:21:27]folks. Um, just a question. What I mean, what could they possibly ask Hillary Clinton all day? Uh, they've mentioned Maxwell at the wedding. Um, and what questions
[1:21:38]you said you're happy to talk to anyone. What questions do you have for Hillary Clinton given that she said she has no connection? >> We're going to we're going to give the secretary an opportunity uh to clarify any questions that Republicans might have that we might have. Look, if she
[1:21:50]has any information that could be helpful to the investigation, we want to hear that. And so, we're we're going to find out here. We'll we'll report back with actually uh being asked, but broadly speaking, um anyone that has any information, whether they're Republicans
[1:22:01]or Democrats, we want a nonpartisan investigation, and that's going to include ensuring that President Trump comes before our committee. >> Yes. >> Do you have questions about the Clinton Global Initiative and the fundraising fall?
[1:22:12]>> There's going to be questions asked about that. So, thank you very much. We'll come back. >> Thank you. >> All right. So, that was House Democrats just before the deposition going. Now,
[1:22:23]what I want to do is show you the Republicans led by Representative James Comr, the chairman of the oversight committee, either been interviewed by the oversight
[1:22:38]committee or sent in a statement that they had never met Epstein and had no no knowledge of the investigation except the Clintons. Uh we worked for 6 months
[1:22:49]to get the Clintons to come in and then they um acted like they were going to come in and then they didn't show up. And obviously we moved to hold the Clintons in contempt. And I think one
[1:23:00]thing that surprised the Clintons, they assumed the Democrats on the committee would vote in a in a partisan manner and not vote to hold the Clintons in contempt. And what they learned was a
[1:23:11]majority of the Democrats on the committee uh either voted to hold the Clintons in contempt or voted present. And I think that's a statement uh that this investigation is serious. Uh it is
[1:23:23]a bipartisan investigation. The American people have a lot of questions. Uh to my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered very many, if any, questions about their
[1:23:32]knowledge or involvement uh with Epstein and Maxwell. Again, no one's accusing at this moment the Clintons of any wrongdoing. They're going to have due process, but we have a lot of questions. And the purpose of the whole
[1:23:44]investigation is to try to understand uh many things about Epstein. How did he accumulate so much wealth? How was he able to surround himself with some of
[1:23:55]the most powerful men in the world? Uh was he an asset uh for our government or any other government? These are the questions that uh we're going to ask over the next two days and hopefully
[1:24:06]we'll be able to get some answers. And as always, uh we're going to release the transcripts. We're going to release the video as soon as uh everyone has approved it. The normal process in a
[1:24:17]deposition is the attorneys uh would have the opportunity to review the transcript and review the video to make sure that uh there are no errors. And uh this is going to be a long video because
[1:24:28]this is going to be a long deposition. Today will be a long deposition, I would assume. And tomorrow will be an even longer deposition. Every member of the oversight committee is going to have
[1:24:39]questions for the Clintons uh as well as our trained staff that do nothing but deposition. So uh after our hour of questioning, we're going to send a
[1:24:50]couple of members of the oversight committee out to be able to give you an update of what's going on and answer some questions. So with that, we'll answer a question or two and then we'll go back to
[1:24:59]>> Mr. Mr. Are you concerned that there has been a cover up of sexual abuse of a minor by President Trump? There are missing FBI records that appear to be >> No, we're looking into the the
[1:25:11]accusation by the NPR. Uh we don't know that the answer to that. We know what the administration says. We're still looking to to uh get a definitive answer
[1:25:21]on that. But look, let's let's just be realistic here. If you go by a lot of what the Democrats have said, you had uh Jasmine Crockett accused Lee Zelden of taking donations from Jeffrey Epste. It
[1:25:32]was the wrong Jeffrey Epstein. We've had Ro Ka sit on the floor and name names of people that were he thought were involved in Epste that weren't even involved. So, uh you know, sometimes the Democrats on the committee aren't the
[1:25:43]best. Good morning. What about the idea though that I understand you you say that this is different with some of the members or some of the people who were subpoenaed who didn't have his direct contact, but
[1:25:54]some folks have said it seems like you're the Clintons are basically on trial here versus people who know more about the uh you know what was going on with Maxwell, what was going on with Epstein, and that this is really kind of
[1:26:05]dragging them through the mud when there are other witnesses. >> Well, let's let's let's address that, Chad. The Democrats voted to subpoena the Clintons. The Democrats voted with the Republicans to hold the Clintons in
[1:26:17]contempt. So the Democrats have just as many questions for the Clintons as the Republicans. So this isn't a a partisan witch hunt. This was a motion, a bipartisan motion supported by the
[1:26:29]Democrats to bring the Clintons in. So I I don't think it's a any type of being unfair in any way to the Clintons. They've never answered questions unlike President Trump who gets questioned
[1:26:41]every day by just about every one of you about his knowledge or involvement with Epstein. To my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered very many questions. We'll do one more question. >> With the spirit of bipartisanship, would
[1:26:53]you then ask the commerce secretary Howard Lutnik to come testify? It seems like he has some information. >> That's very possible. And I think there, you know, I think it's a good uh possibility that his name will arise in
[1:27:04]some questioning today. It'll be on my list and I have an email. I print it off for Hillary to ask about Howard Lutnik today. So, >> God's watching. >> We're asking again. Uh, and I want to remind everyone, we've already brought
[1:27:16]in Alex Aosta and Bill Bar for deposition. That's two Republicans in the in the Trump administration. So, this isn't just about Democrats. This is
[1:27:25]about anyone that has any knowledge of Epstein, the investigation. I think we all agree the government failed. The government failed the victims. And what our role is, we can't we can't prosecute
[1:27:37]anyone. But what we have been doing is getting transparency to the American people. We subpoenaed the estate. That had nothing to do with the discharge petition. We subpoenaed the uh the
[1:27:48]documents for the estate. That's what the victims asked us to do. And what you're seeing is there is accountability finally happening. you you've seen at least a dozen very powerful people, men
[1:27:58]and women, who have already resigned, uh many in disgrace from their board positions. So, uh we're seeing accountability, but we have uh a desire
[1:28:08]to see a lot more accountability. We want to get the answers and hopefully the next two days will be a step in the right direction on our >> one. That being said, I mean, Hillary
[1:28:22]Clinton has said she has no links to Jeffrey Epstein. She doesn't recall meeting him. So, what specific information do you believe she has that warrants her testimony? >> Well, we you'll see. I mean, we're going
[1:28:33]to ask a lot of questions, but but with respect to uh >> when you look at all the co-conspirators, and we've all seen the the unredacted documents, Maxwell is the main
[1:28:44]co-conspirator. No one brought more women in and lied to more women about what was going to happen with their involvement with Jeffrey Epstein than
[1:28:54]Gain Maxwell. We know that obviously Maxwell was a guest at Chelsea Clinton's wedding. There weren't many people that went to that wedding. So, uh, again, we're not accusing Hillary Clinton of
[1:29:05]wrongdoing. We know that Jeffrey Epstein said many times in emails that he was the the first person to raise money for the Clinton initiative, the Clinton Foundation, that uh he solicited money
[1:29:16]at some of his properties for the Clinton Foundation. Again, that's not saying anything's illegal, but uh there are a lot of questions pertaining to Secretary Clinton with respect to Epstein and his involvement in the
[1:29:27]Clinton initiative and her relationship with with Maxwell. We'll come out every hour when we get finished and different members will update you and answer any questions. Thank you.
[1:29:37]>> Clinton's forced to go to Washington. >> Thank you. >> Hillary question. former Secretary of State
[1:29:58]Hillary Clinton today is part of their investigation into the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The closed door interview which will be videotaped and
[1:30:08]we should also know uh that let you know that we heard from Representative Comr and he said that at a later date we will receive the video of this deposition.
[1:30:20]And so as soon as we receive that video, we're going to pump it right out to you on Live Now from Fox. The committee will meet with former
[1:30:30]President Bill Clinton tomorrow for a similar deposition. And the in-person interviews come after months of bitter back and forth between the former first
[1:30:40]couple and the committee, which at one point threatened to hold the Clintons in contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a subpoena it issued back in August. The committee initially
[1:30:52]scheduled their depositions for October. Committee chair James Comr, a Republican from Kentucky, has accused them of having given the panel the runaround since then. The Clintons had volunteered
[1:31:03]to testify at a public hearing, but Comr said the committee's practice is to conduct closed-door interviews with witnesses before it holds hearings. The Clintons have repeatedly denied
[1:31:14]wrongdoing related to Epstein and have not been accused of any crimes in connection with him. Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee who lost the presidential election to Donald Trump
[1:31:25]back in 2016, has said they have little information to offer the panel about Epstein, who died in jail back in 2019 as he was awaiting trial on federal sex
[1:31:35]trafficking charges. She has accused the committee of using her and her husband to try to distract from Trump's ties to Epstein. Other witnesses were asked to
[1:31:46]testify. They have written statements under oath. We offered that to Hillary Clinton told the BBC in an interview last week. Why do they want to pull us
[1:31:55]into this? She asked to divert attention from President Trump. She then asked her own answered her own question. Undated photographs of Bill Clinton with Epstein
[1:32:06]and co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell were released in December in the first trunch of documents made public under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a 2025
[1:32:17]law that requires the Justice Department to make public its investigative files relating to Epstein and Maxwell. It's unclear where the photos were taken.
[1:32:26]Bill Clinton spokesperson has said he traveled on Epstein's plane four times in 2022 and 2003 uh 2002. Uh I I want to
[1:32:37]make that clear. 2002 and 2003 on trips for his Clinton Foundation. It's unclear whether Hillary Clinton, who did not go on those trips, ever met Epstein, who
[1:32:49]pleaded guilty in Florida to state charge of soliciting a minor back in 2008 and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. She told the BBC this month that
[1:33:00]she does not believe she met him. Hillary Clinton did however know Maxwell, who was convicted in two 2021 of federal sex trafficking charges,
[1:33:10]including conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illicit sex acts. Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence. In an unusual interview with
[1:33:21]Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch last year, Maxwell said that President Clinton was my friend, not Epstein's friend, and that she was the one who was asked Epstein to let Bill Clinton and
[1:33:32]other foundation members and guests use his plane back in 2002. It's unclear when Maxwell first met the former president. and she said she was
[1:33:43]introduced to him by a mutual f friend after he left office in 2001. She said she met Hillary Clinton at some point in either Nantucket or Martha's
[1:33:55]Vineyard in Massachusetts and I went to the house a few times. Maxwell did not say when those trips were. She told Blanch that Bill Clinton was very close
[1:34:05]friends with billionaire Ted Wade, who she said um that she dated back in 2003 to 2010. Maxwell and Wade both attended
[1:34:16]Chelsea Clinton's wedding in 2010. Maxwell was also spotted at a 2013 Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting in New York years after she had been
[1:34:27]publicly accused in a civil suit of helping Epstein groom and sexually abuse minors. It's unclear when she last saw
[1:34:36]or communicated with Hillary Clinton. In her BBC interview, the former Secretary of State uh that uh has said that she met Maxwell on a few occasions that
[1:34:48]thousands of people go to the Clinton Global Initiative. In her interview with Blanch, Maxwell was asked when she had
[1:34:57]last gone on a trip with or or has seen Bill Clinton. It was in was late 2000 and I don't know 16, 17, 18 something in
[1:35:07]it. It was in Los Angeles. She said, "I think he was hosting something or he was at an event and I was in LA. I had dinner with him." In a in a sworn
[1:35:17]declaration sent to the oversight committee last month, Bill Clinton said, "I have no recollection of when I first met Miss Maxwell, though I believe she was working for Mr. Epstein at the
[1:35:29]time." He he also added that she later began a personal relationship with a mutual friend. A separate declaration from Hillary Clinton used the same language about
[1:35:40]Maxwell and both Clintons said that they have no personal knowledge of either Epstein's or Maxwell's criminal activities. Maxwell told Blanch that she
[1:35:50]never saw Bill Clinton or Trump doing anything inappropriate. After her interview with Blanch, a former Trump attorney, Maxwell was transferred from a
[1:36:00]prison in Florida to a lower minimum security prison camp in Texas. So, we are continuing to roll on right here on live down from Fox giving you the
[1:36:11]updates. Again, the deposition is underway in New York. Representative Comr says at a later date we will see this video of this deposition and of
[1:36:22]course as soon as it's released to the public. You are going to see it on live now from Fox. Hillary Clinton's testimony before members of the House
[1:36:33]Oversight and Government Reform Committee focusing on the federal government's handling of the investigations into Jeffrey Epstein and
[1:36:41]his co-conspirator Gain Maxwell as well as potential ethics violations by elected officials according to a person granted uh uh information to share
[1:36:53]details of the plans for this closed door deposition out in New York. The former Secretary of State testifying today and her husband, former President
[1:37:01]Bill Clinton, being deposed tomorrow. Among the terms for Hillary Clinton's agreement to comply with this congressional subpoena and participate
[1:37:12]in the panel's Epstein investigation, she will agree to engage in questions about Epstein and Maxwell's efforts to exploit their connections to powerful figures such as the Clintons to protect
[1:37:23]themselves from accountability for their alleged sex trafficking crimes. The person said the oversight panel has also agreed to discuss the government's mishandling of the Epstein case, which
[1:37:34]began in Florida long after Bill Clinton left office. Notably, the list agreed upon issues does not include unrelated topics that have long been a fixation among Republicans, such as Hillary
[1:37:46]Clinton's handling of the 2012 Benghazi attack while she was Secretary of State, or her use of a private email server for official communications. She was dogged by both issues as she ran for president
[1:37:57]in 2016 against Donald Trump. Neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein. Hillary Clinton has m maintained that she has no memory of
[1:38:09]meeting Epstein, while Bill Clinton has admitted to using Epstein's plane on several occasions, but has maintained he never visited the island. Both have said
[1:38:19]that they have no knowledge of his crimes. Hillary. >> All right, everyone. I do want to now
[1:38:30]read to you Hillary Clinton's statement. It was just released on her ex. I want to bring this to you. This is the opening statement that she is giving
[1:38:39]during this deposition. So, let me read that to you right now on Live Now from Fox. It goes as, "Mr. Chairman, ranking member, members of the committee. As a
[1:38:51]former senator, I have respect for legislative oversight and I expect its exercise, as do the American people, to be principled and fearless in pursuit of
[1:39:02]truth and accountability. As we all know, however, too often congressional investigations are partisan political theater, which is an abdication of duty
[1:39:13]and an insult to the American people. The committee justified its subpoena to me based on its assumption that I have information regarding the investigations into the criminal activities of Jeffrey
[1:39:25]Epstein and Galain Maxwell. Let me be as clear as I can. I do not. As I stated in my sworn declaration back on January 13th, I had no idea about their criminal
[1:39:37]activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein. I never flew on his plane or visited his island homes or offices. I have nothing to add to
[1:39:47]that. Like every decent person, I have been horrified by what we have learned about their crimes. It's unfathomable that Mr. Epstein initially got a slap in
[1:39:58]the wrist back in 2008, which allowed him to continue his predatory practices for another decade. Mr. Chairman, your investigation is supposed to be assessing the federal government's
[1:40:09]handling of the investigations and prosecutions of Epstein and his crimes. You subpoenaed eight law enforcement officials, all of whom ran the
[1:40:20]Department of Justice or directed the FBI when Epstein's crimes were investigated and prosecuted. Of those eight, only one appeared before the committee. Five of the six former
[1:40:30]attorney generals were allowed to submit brief statements, stating they had no information to provide. You have had zero public hearings, refused to allow the media to attend them, including
[1:40:41]today, despite exposing the need for transparency on dozens of occasions. You have made little effort to call the people who show up prominently in the
[1:40:52]Epstein files. And when you did, not a single Republican member showed up for Les Wexner's deposition. It goes on to say the institutional
[1:41:10]failure is designed to protect one political party and one political official rather than to seek truth and justice for the victims and survivors as
[1:41:21]well as the public who also want to get to the bottom of this matter. My heart breaks for the survivors and I am furious on their behalf. I've spent my
[1:41:31]life advocating for women and girls. I have worked hard to stop the terrible abuses so many women and girls face here around the world, including human trafficking, forced labor, and sexual
[1:41:43]slavery. For for too long, these have been largely invisible crimes or not treated as crimes at all. But the survivors are real and they are entitled
[1:41:53]to better. In Southeast Asia, I met girls as young as 12 years old who were forced into prostitution and raped repeatedly. Some were dying of AIDS. In Eastern Europe, I met mothers who told
[1:42:04]me that they lost daughters to trafficking and did not know where to turn. In settings around the world, I met survivors trying to rebuild their lives and help rescue others with little
[1:42:14]support from people in power who too often turned a blind eye and a cold shoulder. If you are new to this issue, let me tell you, Jeffrey Epstein was a heinous individual, but he's far from
[1:42:26]alone. This is not a oneoff tabloid sensation or a political scandal. It's a global problem with an unimaginable
[1:42:35]human toll. My work combating sex trafficking goes back to the my first days as first lady. I worked to pass the first federal legislation against
[1:42:46]trafficking and was proud that my husband signed the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, which increased support for survivors and gave prosecutors better tools for going after
[1:42:57]traffickers. As Secretary of State, I appointed a former federal prosecutor to ramp up our global anti-trafficking efforts. I oversaw nearly 170 anti-trafficking
[1:43:09]programs in 70 nations and directly pressed foreign leaders to crack down on trafficking networks in their countries. Every year, we published a global report
[1:43:19]to shine a light on abuses. The findings of those reports triggered sanctions on countries failing to make progress, so they became a powerful diplomatic tool
[1:43:29]to drive concrete action. I insisted that the United States be included in the report for the first time ever back in 2011 because we must hold ourselves
[1:43:39]not just the same standard as the rest of the world, but to an even higher one. Sex trafficking in modern slavery should have no place in America. None. The
[1:43:51]Secretary Clinton's opening statement continues saying the Trump administration gutted the trafficking in person's office at the State Department,
[1:44:01]cutting more than 70% of the career civil and foreign service experts who worked so hard to prevent trafficking crimes. The annual trafficking report
[1:44:11]required by law was delayed for months. The message from the Trump administration to the American people and the world could not be clear. Combating human trafficking is no longer
[1:44:21]an American priority under the Trump White House. This is a tragedy. It's a scandal. It deserves vigorous investigation and oversight. A committee
[1:44:31]endeavoring to stopping human trafficking would seek to understand what specific steps are needed to fix a system that allowed Epstein to get away
[1:44:40]with his crimes back in 2008. A committee run by elected officials with a commitment to transparency would ensure the full rel release of all the files. It would ensure that the awful
[1:44:51]redactions of those files protected the victims and survivors, not powerful men and political allies. It would go and get to the bottom of reports that DOJ
[1:45:02]withheld FBI interviews in which a survivor accuses President Trump of heinous crimes. It would subpoena anyone who asked on which night there would be
[1:45:12]the wildest party on Epstein's island. It would demand testimony from prosecutors in Florida and New York about why they gave Epstein a sweetheart
[1:45:21]deal and chose not to pursue others who may have been implicated. It would demand this that Secretary Rubio and Attorney General Bondi testify about why this administration is abandoning
[1:45:33]survivors and playing into the hands of traffickers. It would seek out officers not on the front lines of the fight and ask them what support they need. It
[1:45:44]would be put forth legislation to provide more resources and force the administration to act. But that's not happening. Instead, you have compelled me to testify, fully aware that I have
[1:45:56]no acknowledge, no knowledge that would assist you in the investigation in order to distract attention from President Trump's actions and to cover them up despite legitimate calls for answers. If
[1:46:08]this committee is serious about learning the truth about Epstein's trafficking crimes, it would not rely on press gaggles to get answers from our current president on his involvement. It would
[1:46:19]ask him directly under oath about the tens of thousands of times he showed up on in the Epstein files. If the majority was serious, it would not waste time on
[1:46:30]fishing expeditions. There is too much that needs to be done. What is being held back? Who is being protected? And why the cover up? My challenge to you,
[1:46:41]Mr. Chairman, members of the committee, is the same challenge I put to myself throughout my long service in this nation. How to be worthy of the trust of
[1:46:52]the American people has given you. They expect statesmanship, not gamesmanship. Leading, not grandstanding. They expect you to use your power to get to the
[1:47:01]truth and to do more to help survivors of Epstein's crimes as well as the millions more who are victims of sex trafficking. Again, that was the
[1:47:11]fourpage Secretary Clinton's opening statement that she just read to uh the committee just moments ago. And again, we are waiting for more key updates
[1:47:23]coming from inside uh this area where this uh deposition is now underway. Of course, we'll always be bringing you these updates all here on Live Now from
[1:47:33]Fox. I do now want to uh showcase to you House Democrats just moments ago speaking to the media and we're going to bring that to you right here on Live Now
[1:47:44]from Fox. >> Well, good morning everyone. Uh my name
[1:47:58]is Robert Garcia. I am the ranking member for the Oversight Democrats. Uh we're here today, of course, for uh two days of depositions of both Secretary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton. So, I'm going to have some
[1:48:09]general comments. We will actually be back out here to uh answer any questions once we've actually started the depositions, but we wanted to make some brief comments right now and then we'll
[1:48:19]go ahead and uh and go in and start. Um, let me just begin by saying that oversight Democrats from from day one we have said that we want to talk to anyone any person that information about
[1:48:30]Jeffrey Epstein, about his crimes, about how he was able to get so much wealth, we will talk to any single person, whether that is a Democrat, a
[1:48:40]Republican, how much wealth they have, how powerful their position is, we want to talk to anyone. And so we're happy to be here and we're glad that both Secretary Clinton and former President Clinton are willing to talk to this
[1:48:52]committee. I also think it's important to note I'm glad to see that we have our Republican colleagues here. There's a big group of them. I wish they would have joined us at the Les Wexner deposition, but I'm glad that they're
[1:49:04]here now to get questions answered. That is important part of our investigation. Uh let me just add that um as it relates to Secretary Clinton who's here today. Uh she has been very clear she's never
[1:49:15]met Jeffrey Epstein. We have no evidence of her having any interactions uh with Mr. Epstein. And so I think that's important to note as we walk into this deposition. Uh but I also want to say
[1:49:26]which I think is very important that at this very moment the Department of Justice continues to lead a White House cover up. And we're going to be
[1:49:36]demanding even over these next few days that the remaining files that have not been released get released to the public. And that includes
[1:49:46]new files that were just discovered in the last couple days of a survivor that has made serious accusations and allegations
[1:49:56]against not just Jeffrey Epstein but also against President Trump and about abuse that she suffered when she was a minor.
[1:50:06]We have seen the DOJ files and the archive manifest that clearly shows that the interviews and information around
[1:50:16]this survivor have been removed and are missing from the DOJ files.
[1:50:25]Where are these files? Who removed them? Those questions have to be answered. What we have is a survivor that we have verified,
[1:50:37]that others have verified, and those files are missing. And it's not just those. It's an additional 50% of files that are missing. It is unconscionable.
[1:50:46]It is illegal. And Pam Bondi and the president need an answer to where those files are. And that's going to continue to drive our work, not just today, but every single day until we get justice
[1:50:58]for the survivors. I'm going to have um some of our our members here make a few comments as well. >> Thank you. Um it is abundantly clear that this is the most egregious cover up
[1:51:10]in American history. The recent reporting by the New York Times, NPR, and other media outlets that have verified this demonstrating that the
[1:51:20]Department of Justice, in addition to violating the law over and over again as they refuse to release the full and unredacted files, have withheld 50 pages
[1:51:30]of allegations against President Trump. This cover up needs to end immediately. I am glad that we are here today as part of this ongoing investigation because we
[1:51:41]will accept any information that anybody can give us about Jeffrey Epstein's vast child sex trafficking operation. I just want to say that young people in this
[1:51:52]country are watching right now. If the most powerful people in the United States of America, the elite and rich and powerful men and women are able to
[1:52:03]get away with these heinous crimes, then we are sending a horrible message to young people in this country that powerful people will always protect themselves and the rule of law does not
[1:52:14]apply to everyone. So, I look forward to the next two days and we know that there is so much more to uncover here and we expect to get answers from the
[1:52:25]Department of Justice immediately. Thank you. >> I'm Congressman Suas Cramanium. Uh we're here today in New York to talk to Hillary Clinton and tomorrow to talk to
[1:52:36]former President Bill Clinton. I I want to make clear that uh there were no Republicans in Ohio to talk to Les Wexner who bankrolled uh the Epstein's fortune for the most part and and
[1:52:47]allowed a lot of his crimes to happen. Hillary Clinton who maintains that she doesn't recall meeting Jeffrey Epstein is here today and we have a lot of Republicans here today. That's
[1:52:58]underscores to me the partisan nature of what some of the Republicans on our committee and in Congress are are doing and the way they're approaching this investigation. And meanwhile, they're not holding the Department of Justice
[1:53:09]accountable for breaking the law over and over again. There's 2 and a2 million files that have not been released. And now we're hearing and seeing evidence of some of those files, including
[1:53:20]accusations against President Trump. We know that there are other information in those files that clearly is not about protecting victims. It's about protecting people who committed crimes.
[1:53:31]And so we as Democrats on the oversight committee are going to continue to uh approach this investigation in a nonpartisan way because all we want is the truth and we want justice for the survivors and we want to make sure this
[1:53:43]never happens again no matter how rich and powerful the perpetrators are. Thank you. >> Speaking of rich and powerful I'm I'm James Walkenshaw from Virginia.
[1:53:52]We are here today to continue our investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. And it's important to note and as others have said, there is no
[1:54:04]indication, zero, zip, zilch, natada, that Secretary Clinton had any knowledge of Epstein's crimes. She submitted a sworn statement that she never met
[1:54:15]Jeffrey Epstein. And my fear is we're here today as part of a a political exercise, part of a longunning fever dream where Republicans want to lock up
[1:54:26]Secretary Clinton. We had the State of the Union this week and uh President Trump spoke for two hours and refused to even acknowledge the courageous
[1:54:36]survivors of Epstein's crimes who were in the chamber. He wouldn't even address the issue. His attorney general refuses to even meet with the survivors. So, we
[1:54:47]want to conduct a serious bipartisan investigation. I'm glad that President Clinton will sit down with us tomorrow and answer questions about his
[1:54:56]relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, but I wanted to come today to ensure that this is a serious exercise, a serious investigation and not a political or
[1:55:07]partisan one. Thank you. >> Why weren't the Clintons to go to Washington to testify? >> I'll answer I'll answer that question. So, let me do this today. Let me go ahead. We're going to answer two one or two questions. Let me just also say I
[1:55:19]think today also sets a precedent. So I want to be very clear that we have said from day one that we want to talk to former President Bill Clinton and the other person we want to talk to is
[1:55:30]current President Donald Trump. And so we should be very clear that now that we're going to hear from former President Clinton, I hope that Chairman Comr and the Republicans will join us in
[1:55:42]demanding that the person who actually appears more times in the files than the former president who we want to speak with is President Donald Trump. And so
[1:55:51]let's get President Trump in front of our committee to answer the questions that are being asked across this country
[1:56:01]from survivors from those who have been brutally attacked and raped sometimes as children. Let's release the files and answer one or two questions. Thank you. >> So should the Clintons have come forward
[1:56:12]sooner to testify and be deposed in front of the committee? And also what are the discussions with Republicans about bringing other administration officials like Lenick who are mentioned in these files before lawmakers?
[1:56:23]>> We want to hear from Howard Lutnik. Howard Lutnik of course said that he stopped communicating with Epstein, our commerce secretary, then goes on to visit Epste's island, communicate with him, go into business with him. All of which was not disclosed. He should not
[1:56:35]be the commerce secretary right now. As relates to the questions about the location, the location was selected by Republicans. The majority controls where where and how these depositions are done. We want to continue hearing from folks.
[1:56:46]Um, just a question. What I mean, what could they possibly ask Hillary Clinton all day? Uh, they've mentioned Maxwell at the wedding. Um, and what questions you said you're happy to talk to anyone.
[1:56:57]What questions do you have for Hillary Clinton given that she said she has no connection? >> We're going to we're going to give the secretary an opportunity uh to clarify any questions that Republicans might have that we might have. Look, if she has any information that could be
[1:57:08]helpful to the investigation, we want to hear that. And so, we're we're going to find out here. We'll we'll report back with actually uh being asked, but broadly speaking, um anyone that has any information, whether they're Republicans
[1:57:18]or Democrats, we want a nonpartisan investigation, and that's going to include ensuring that President Trump comes before our committee. >> Yes. >> Do you have questions about the Clinton Global Initiative and the fundraising fall?
[1:57:30]>> There's going to be questions asked about that. So, thank you very much. We'll come back. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> All right. So, that was House Democrats just before the deposition going. Now,
[1:57:40]what I want to do is show you the Republicans led by Representative James Comr, the chairman of the oversight committee, either been interviewed by the oversight
[1:57:55]committee or sent in a statement that they had never met Epstein and had no no knowledge of the investigation except the Clintons. Uh we worked for 6 months
[1:58:06]to get the Clintons to come in and then they um acted like they were going to come in and then they didn't show up and obviously we moved to hold the Clintons
[1:58:15]in contempt. And I think one thing that surprised the Clintons, they assumed the Democrats on the committee would vote in a in a partisan manner and not vote to hold the Clintons in contempt. And what
[1:58:27]they learned was a majority of the Democrats on the committee uh either voted to hold the Clintons in contempt or voted present. And I think that's a statement uh that this investigation is
[1:58:38]serious. Uh it is a bipartisan investigation. The American people have a lot of questions. Uh to my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered very many, if any, questions about their knowledge
[1:58:49]or involvement uh with Epstein and Maxwell. Again, no one's accusing at this moment the Clintons of any wrongdoing. They're going to have due process, but we have a lot of questions. And the purpose of the whole
[1:59:01]investigation is to try to understand uh many things about Epstein. How did he accumulate so much wealth? How was he able to surround himself with some of
[1:59:12]the most powerful men in the world? Uh was he an asset uh for our government or any other government? These are the questions that uh we're going to ask over the next two days and hopefully
[1:59:23]we'll be able to get some answers. And as always, we're going to release the transcript. We're going to release the video as soon as uh everyone has approved it. The normal process in a
[1:59:34]deposition is the attorneys uh would have the opportunity to review the transcript and review the video to make sure that uh there are no errors. And uh this is going to be a long video because
[1:59:45]this is going to be a long deposition. Today will be a long deposition, I would assume. And tomorrow will be an even longer deposition. Every member of the oversight committee is going to have
[1:59:56]questions for the Clintons uh as well as our trained staff that do nothing but deposition. So uh after our hour of questioning, we're going to send a
[2:00:07]couple of members of the oversight committee out to be able to give you an update of what's going on and answer some questions. So with that, we'll answer a question or two and then we'll go back to
[2:00:17]>> Mr. Are you concerned that there has been a cover up of sexual abuse of a minor by President Trump? There are missing FBI records that appear to be >> No, we're looking into the the
[2:00:28]accusation by the NPR. Uh we don't know that the answer to that. We know what the administration says. We're still looking to to uh get a definitive answer
[2:00:38]on that. But look, let's let's just be realistic here. If you go by a lot of what the Democrats have said, you had uh Jasmine Crockett accused Lee Zelden of taking donations from Jeffrey Epste. It
[2:00:49]was the wrong Jeffrey Epstein. We've had Ro Connor sit on the floor and name names of people that were he thought were involved in Epste that weren't even involved. So, uh you know, sometimes the Democrats on the committee aren't the
[2:01:00]best. What about the idea though that I understand you you say that this is different with some of the members or some of the people who were subpoenaed who didn't have his direct contact but
[2:01:11]some folks have said it seems like you're the Clintons are basically on trial here versus people who know more about the uh you know what was going on with Maxwell what was going on with Epstein and that this is really kind of
[2:01:22]dragging them through the mud when there are other witnesses let's let's let's address that Chad the Democrats voted to subpoena the Clintons the Democrats vote voted with the Republicans to hold the
[2:01:34]Clintons in contempt. So the Democrats have just as many questions for the Clintons as the Republicans. So this isn't a a partisan witch hunt. This was
[2:01:42]a motion, a bipartisan motion supported by the Democrats to bring the Clintons in. So I I don't think it's a any type of being unfair in any way to the
[2:01:54]Clintons. They've never answered questions unlike President Trump who gets questioned every day by just about every one of you about his knowledge or involvement with Epstein. To my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered
[2:02:05]very many questions. One more question, >> in the spirit of bipartisanship, would you then ask the commerce secretary Howard Lutnik to come testify? It seems like he has some information.
[2:02:16]>> That's very possible. And I think there, you know, I think it's a good uh possibility that his name will arise in some questioning today. >> It'll be on my list and I have an email I put it off for Hillary to ask about Howard Lutnik today. So
[2:02:27]>> guys watching we're asking again uh and I want to remind everyone we've already brought in Alex Aosta and Bill Barr for deposition. That's two Republicans in
[2:02:38]the in the Trump administration. So this isn't just about Democrats. This is about anyone that has any knowledge of Epstein the investigation. I think we all agree the government failed the
[2:02:49]government failed the victims. And what our role is, we can't we can't prosecute anyone, but what we have been doing is getting transparency with the American people. We subpoenaed the estate. That
[2:03:01]had nothing to do with the discharge petition. We subpoenaed the uh the documents for the estate. That's what the victims asked us to do. And what you're seeing is there is accountability finally happening. you you've seen at
[2:03:12]least a dozen very powerful people, men and women, who have already resigned, uh many in disgrace from their board positions. So, uh we're seeing
[2:03:23]accountability, but we have uh a desire to see a lot more accountability. We want to get the answers and hopefully the next two days will be a step in the
[2:03:32]right direction on our >> one. Well, that being said, I mean, Hillary Clinton has said she has no links to Jeffrey Epstein. She doesn't
[2:03:42]recall meeting him. So, what specific information do you believe she has that warrants her testimony? >> Well, we you'll see. I mean, we're going to ask a lot of questions, but but with respect to uh
[2:03:53]>> when you look at all the co-conspirators, and we've all seen the the unredacted documents, Maxwell is the main co-conspirator. No one brought more
[2:04:04]women in and lied to more women about what was going to happen with their involvement with Jeffrey Epstein than Gain Maxwell. We know that obviously
[2:04:14]Maxwell was a guest at Chelsea Clinton's wedding. There weren't many people that went to that wedding. So, uh, again, we're not accusing Hillary Clinton of wrongdoing. We know that Jeffrey Epstein
[2:04:24]said many times in emails that he was the the first person to raise money for the Clinton initiative, the Clinton Foundation, that uh he solicited money at some of his properties for the
[2:04:35]Clinton Foundation. Again, that's not saying anything's illegal, but uh there are a lot of questions pertaining to Secretary Clinton with respect to Epstein and his involvement in the Clinton initiative and her relationship
[2:04:46]with with Gain Maxwell. We'll come out every hour when we get finished and different members will update you and answer any questions. Thank you. >> Clinton's forced to go to Washington. A taxpayer spends more money.
[2:04:58]>> Thank you. >> Question. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today as part of their investigation into the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The closed door
[2:05:10]interview which will be videotaped. And we should also know uh that let you know that we heard from Representative Comr
[2:05:18]and he said that at a later date we will receive the video of this deposition. So as soon as we receive that video, we're going to pump it right out to you on
[2:05:29]Live Now from Fox. The committee will meet with former President Bill Clinton tomorrow for a similar deposition. And the in-person
[2:05:39]interviews come after months of bitter back and forth between the former first couple and the committee, which at one point threatened to hold the Clintons in
[2:05:48]contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a subpoena it issued back in August. The committee initially scheduled their depositions for October.
[2:05:58]Committee chair James Comr, a Republican from Kentucky, has accused them of having given the panel the runaround since then. The Clintons had volunteered to testify at a public hearing, but Comr
[2:06:10]said the committee's practice is to conduct closed-door interviews with witnesses before it holds hearings. The Clintons have repeatedly denied wrongdoing related to Epstein and have
[2:06:21]not been accused of any crimes in connection with him. Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee who lost the presidential election to Donald Trump back in 2016, has said they have little
[2:06:32]information to offer the panel about Epstein, who died in jail back in 2019 as he was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. She has accused the
[2:06:42]committee of using her and her husband to try to distract from Trump's ties to Epstein. Other witnesses were asked to testify. They have written statements
[2:06:52]under oath. We offered that to Hillary Clinton told the BBC in an interview last week. Why do they want to pull us into this? She asked to divert attention
[2:07:02]from President Trump. She then asked her own answered her own question. Undated photographs of Bill Clinton with Epstein and co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell were
[2:07:13]released in December in the first trunch of documents made public under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a 2025 law that requires the Justice Department
[2:07:23]to make public its investigative files relating to Epstein and Maxwell. It's unclear where the photos were taken. Bill Clinton spokesperson has said he
[2:07:33]traveled on Epstein's plane four times in 2022 and 2003 uh 2002. Uh I I want to make that clear. 2002 and 2003 on trips
[2:07:45]for his Clinton Foundation. It's unclear whether Hillary Clinton, who did not go on those trips, ever met Epstein, who pleaded guilty in Florida to state
[2:07:55]charge of soliciting a minor back in 2008 and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. She told the BBC this month that she does not believe she met him.
[2:08:06]Hillary Clinton did however know Maxwell, who was convicted in two 2021 of federal sex trafficking charges, including conspiracy to entice minors to
[2:08:17]travel to engage in illicit sex acts. Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence. In an unusual interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch last
[2:08:28]year, Maxwell said that President Clinton was my friend, not Epstein's friend, and that she was the one who was asked Epstein to let Bill Clinton and
[2:08:37]other foundation members and guests use his plane back in 2002. It's unclear when Maxwell first met the former president. She said she was introduced
[2:08:48]to him by a mutual f friend friend after he left office in 2001. She said she met Hillary Clinton at some point in either Nantucket or Martha's
[2:08:59]Vineyard in Massachusetts. And I went to the house a few times. Maxwell did not say when those trips were. She told Blanch that Bill Clinton was very close
[2:09:10]friends with billionaire Ted Wade who she said that she dated back in 2003 to 2010. Maxwell and Wade both attended
[2:09:20]Chelsea Clinton's wedding in 2010. Maxwell was also spotted at a 2013 Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting in New York years after she had been
[2:09:31]publicly accused in a civil suit of helping Epstein groom and sexually abuse minors. It's unclear when she last saw
[2:09:40]or communicated with Hillary Clinton. In her BBC interview, the former Secretary of State uh that uh has said that she met Maxwell on a few occasions that
[2:09:52]thousands of people go to the Clinton Global Initiative. In her interview with Blanch, Maxwell was asked when she had
[2:10:01]last gone on a trip with or or has seen Bill Clinton. It was in was late 2000 and I don't know 16, 17, 18 something in
[2:10:11]it. It was in Los Angeles. She said, "I think he was hosting something or he was at an event and I was in LA. I had dinner with him." In a in a sworn
[2:10:21]declaration sent to the oversight committee last month, Bill Clinton said, "I have no recollection of when I first met Miss Maxwell, though I believe she was working for Mr. Epstein at the
[2:10:33]time." He he also added that she later began a personal relationship with a mutual friend. A separate declaration from Hillary Clinton used the same language about
[2:10:45]Maxwell and both Clintons said that they have no personal knowledge of either Epstein's or Maxwell's criminal activities. Maxwell told Blanch that she
[2:10:55]never saw Bill Clinton or Trump doing anything inappropriate. After her interview with Blanch, a former Trump attorney, Maxwell was transferred from a
[2:11:04]prison in Florida to a lower minimum security prison camp in Texas. So, we are continuing to roll on right here on Live Down from Fox, giving you the
[2:11:15]updates. Again, the deposition is underway in New York. Representative Comr says at a later date we will see this video of this deposition and of
[2:11:27]course as soon as it's released to the public. You are going to see it on live now from Fox. Hillary Clinton's testimony before members of the House
[2:11:37]Oversight and Government Reform Committee focusing on the federal government's handling of the investigations into Jeffrey Epstein and
[2:11:46]his co-conspirator Glain Maxwell as well as potential ethics violations by elected officials according to a person granted uh uh information to share
[2:11:57]details of the plans for this closed door deposition out in New York. The former Secretary of State testifying today and her husband, former President
[2:12:05]Bill Clinton being deposed tomorrow. Among the terms for Hillary Clinton's agreement to comply with this congressional subpoena and participate
[2:12:16]in the panel's Epstein investigation, she will agree to engage in questions about Epstein and Maxwell's efforts to exploit their connections to powerful figures such as the Clintons to protect
[2:12:27]themselves from accountability for their alleged sex trafficking crimes. the person said. The oversight panel has also agreed to discuss the government's mishandling of the Epstein case, which
[2:12:38]began in Florida long after Bill Clinton left office. Notably, the list agreed upon issues does not include unrelated topics that have long been a fixation among Republicans, such as Hillary
[2:12:50]Clinton's handling of the 2012 Benghazi attack while she was Secretary of State, or her use of a private email server for official communications. She was dogged by both issues as she ran for president
[2:13:02]in 2016 against Donald Trump. Neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein. Hillary Clinton has m maintained that she has no memory of
[2:13:13]meeting Epstein, while Bill Clinton has admitted to using Epstein's plane on several occasions, but has maintained he never visited the island. Both have said
[2:13:23]that they have no knowledge of his crimes. All right, everyone. I do want to now
[2:13:34]read to you Hillary Clinton's statement. It was just released on her ex. I want to bring this here to you. This is the opening statement that she is giving
[2:13:44]during this deposition. So, let me read that to you right now on Live Now from Fox. It goes as, "Mr. Chairman, ranking member, members of the committee. As a
[2:13:55]former senator, I have respect for legislative oversight and I expect its exercise, as do the American people, to be principled and fearless in pursuit of
[2:14:07]truth and accountability. As we all know, however, too often congressional investigations are partisan political theater, which is an abdication of duty
[2:14:18]and an insult to the American people. The committee justified its subpoena to me based on its assumption that I have information regarding the investigations into the criminal activities of Jeffrey
[2:14:29]Epstein and Golain Maxwell. Let me be as clear as I can. I do not. As I stated in my sworn declaration back on January 13th, I had no idea about their criminal
[2:14:41]activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein. I never flew on his plane or visited his island homes or offices. I have nothing to add to
[2:14:52]that. Like every decent person, I have been horrified by what we have learned about their crimes. It's unfathomable that Mr. Epstein initially got a slap in
[2:15:02]the wrist back in 2008, which allowed him to continue his predatory practices for another decade. Mr. Chairman, your investigation is supposed to be assessing the federal government's
[2:15:13]handling of the investigations and prosecutions of Epstein and his crimes. You subpoenaed eight law enforcement officials, all of whom ran the
[2:15:24]Department of Justice or directed the FBI when Epstein's crimes were investigated and prosecuted. Of those eight, only one appeared before the committee. Five of the six former
[2:15:34]attorney generals were allowed to submit brief statements stating they had no information to provide. You have had zero public hearings, refused to allow the media to attend them, including
[2:15:45]today, despite expousing the need for transparency on dozens of occasions. You have made little effort to call the people who show up prominently in the
[2:15:57]Epstein files. And when you did, not a single Republican member showed up for Les Wexner's deposition. It goes on to say, "The institutional
[2:16:14]failure is designed to protect one political party and one political official rather than to seek truth and justice for the victims and survivors as
[2:16:25]well as the public who also want to get to the bottom of this matter. My heart breaks for the survivors and I am furious on their behalf. I've spent my
[2:16:35]life advocating for women and girls. I have worked hard to stop the terrible abuses so many women and girls face here around the world, including human trafficking, forced labor, and sexual
[2:16:47]slavery. For for too long, these have been largely invisible crimes or not treated as crimes at all. But the survivors are real and they are entitled
[2:16:57]to better. In Southeast Asia, I met girls as young as 12 years old who were forced into prostitution and raped repeatedly. Some were dying of AIDS. In Eastern Europe, I met mothers who told
[2:17:08]me that they lost daughters to trafficking and did not know where to turn. In settings around the world, I met survivors trying to rebuild their lives and help rescue others with little
[2:17:18]support from people in power who too often turned a blind eye and a cold shoulder. If you are new to this issue, let me tell you, Jeffrey Epstein was a heinous individual, but he's far from
[2:17:30]alone. This is not a oneoff tabloid sensation or a political scandal. It's a global problem with an unimaginable
[2:17:40]human toll. My work combating sex trafficking goes back to the my first days as first lady. I worked to pass the first federal legislation against
[2:17:50]trafficking and was proud that my husband signed the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, which increased support for survivors and gave prosecutors better tools for going after
[2:18:02]traffickers. As Secretary of State, I appointed a former federal prosecutor to ramp up our global anti-trafficking efforts. I oversaw nearly 170 anti-trafficking
[2:18:14]programs in 70 nations and directly pressed foreign leaders to crack down on trafficking networks in their countries. Every year, we published a global report
[2:18:23]to shine a light on abuses. The findings of those reports triggered sanctions on countries failing to make progress, so they became a powerful diplomatic tool
[2:18:33]to drive concrete action. I insisted that the United States be included in the report for the first time ever back in 2011 because we must hold ourselves
[2:18:44]not just the same standard as the rest of the world, but to an even higher one. Sex trafficking in modern slavery should have no place in America. None. The
[2:18:56]Secretary Clinton's opening statement continues saying the Trump administration gutted the trafficking in person's office at the State Department,
[2:19:05]cutting more than 70% of the career civil and foreign service experts who worked so hard to prevent trafficking crimes. The annual trafficking report
[2:19:15]required by law was delayed for months. The message from the Trump administration to the American people and the world could not be clear. Combating human trafficking is no longer
[2:19:26]an American priority under the Trump White House. This is a tragedy. It's a scandal. It deserves vigorous investigation and oversight. A committee
[2:19:35]endeavoring to stopping human trafficking would seek to understand what specific steps are needed to fix a system that allowed Epstein to get away
[2:19:44]with his crimes back in 2008. A committee run by elected officials with a commitment to transparency would ensure the full rel release of all the files. It would ensure that the awful
[2:19:56]redactions of those files protected the victims and survivors, not powerful men and political allies. It would go and get to the bottom of reports that DOJ
[2:20:06]withheld FBI interviews in which a survivor accuses President Trump of heinous crimes. It would subpoena anyone who asked on which night there would be
[2:20:16]the wildest party on Epstein's island. It would demand testimony from prosecutors in Florida and New York about why they gave Epstein a sweetheart
[2:20:26]deal and chose not to pursue others who may have been implicated. It would demand this that Secretary Rubio and Attorney General Bondi testify about why this administration is abandoning
[2:20:37]survivors and playing into the hands of traffickers. It would seek out officers not on the front lines of the fight and ask them what support they need. It
[2:20:48]would be put forth legislation to provide more resources and force the administration to act. But that's not happening. Instead, you have compelled
[2:20:58]me to testify, fully aware that I have no acknowledge, no knowledge that would assist you in the investigation in order to distract attention from President Trump's actions and to cover them up
[2:21:10]despite legitimate calls for answers. If this committee is serious about learning the truth about Epstein's trafficking crimes, it would not rely on press gaggles to get answers from our current
[2:21:21]president on his involvement. It would ask him directly under oath about the tens of thousands of times he showed up on in the Epstein files. If the majority
[2:21:32]was serious, it would not waste time on fishing expeditions. There is too much that needs to be done. What is being held back? Who is being protected? And
[2:21:42]why the cover up? My challenge to you, Mr. chairman, members of the committee is the same challenge I put to myself throughout my long service in this
[2:21:53]nation. How to be worthy of the trust of the American people has given you. They expect statesmanship, not gamesmanship, leading, not grandstanding. They expect
[2:22:03]you to use your power to get to the truth and to do more to help survivors of Epstein's crimes as well as the millions more who are victims of sex
[2:22:14]trafficking. Again, that was the fourpage Secretary Clinton's opening statement that she just read to uh the committee just moments ago. And again,
[2:22:25]we are waiting for more key updates coming from inside uh this area where this uh deposition is now underway. Of course, we'll always be bringing you
[2:22:35]these updates all here on Live Now from Fox. I do now want to uh showcase to you House Democrats just moments ago speaking to the media and we're going to
[2:22:46]bring that to you right here on Live Now from Fox. >> Well, good morning everyone. Uh my name
[2:23:02]is Robert Garcia. I am the ranking member for the Oversight Democrats. Uh we're here today of course for uh two days of depositions of both Secretary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton. So I'm going to have some
[2:23:13]general comments. We will actually be back out here to uh answer any questions once we've actually started the depositions. But we wanted to make some brief comments right now and then we'll
[2:23:23]go ahead and uh and go in and start. Um, let me just begin by saying that oversight Democrats from from day one we have said that we want to talk to anyone any person that information about
[2:23:34]Jeffrey Epstein about his crimes about how he was able to get so much wealth. We will talk to any single person whether that is a Democrat, a
[2:23:45]Republican, how much wealth they have, how powerful their position is. We want to talk to anyone. So, we're happy to be here and we're glad that both Secretary Clinton and former President Clinton are
[2:23:56]willing to talk to this committee. I also think it's important to note I'm glad to see that we have our Republican colleagues here as a big group of them. I wish they would have joined us at the
[2:24:06]Les Wexner deposition, but I'm glad that they're here now to get questions answered. That is important part of our investigation. Uh, let me just add that um as it relates to Secretary Clinton
[2:24:16]who's here today, uh, she has been very clear. uh she's never met Jeffrey Epstein. We have no evidence of her having any interactions uh with Mr. Epstein. And so I think that's important
[2:24:26]to note as we walk into this deposition. Uh but I also want to say which I think is very important that at this very moment, the Department of Justice
[2:24:35]continues to lead a White House cover up and we're going to be demanding even over these next few days that the remaining files that have not been
[2:24:44]released get released to the public. And that includes new files that were just discovered in the last couple days of a survivor that
[2:24:56]has made serious accusations and allegations against not just Jeffrey Epstein but also against President Trump and about
[2:25:06]abuse that she suffered when she was a minor. We have seen the DOJ files and the archive manifest that clearly shows that
[2:25:17]the interviews and information around this survivor have been removed and are
[2:25:24]missing from the DOJ files. Where are these files? Who removed them?
[2:25:34]Those questions have to be answered. What we have is a survivor that we have verified that others have verified and those files are missing. And it's not just
[2:25:45]those. It's an additional 50% of files that are missing. It is unconscionable. It is illegal. And Pam Bondi and the president need to answer to where those
[2:25:56]files are. And that's going to continue to drive our work not just today, but every single day until we get justice for the survivors. I'm gonna have um some of our our members here make a few
[2:26:05]comments as well. >> Thank you. Um it is abundantly clear that this is the most egregious cover up in American history. The recent
[2:26:17]reporting by the New York Times, NPR, and other media outlets that have verified this demonstrating that the Department of Justice, in addition to
[2:26:26]violating the law over and over again as they refuse to release the full and unredacted files, have withheld 50 pages of allegations against President Trump.
[2:26:38]This cover up needs to end immediately. I am glad that we are here today as part of this ongoing investigation because we will accept any information that anybody
[2:26:48]can give us about Jeffrey Epstein's vast child sex trafficking operation. I just want to say that young people in this country are watching right now. If the
[2:26:59]most powerful people in the United States of America, the elite and rich and powerful men and women are able to get away with these heinous crimes, then
[2:27:10]we are sending a horrible message to young people in this country that powerful people will always protect themselves and the rule of law does not apply to everyone. So, I look forward to
[2:27:21]the next two days and we know that there is so much more to uncover here and we expect to get answers from the Department of Justice immediately. Thank
[2:27:31]you. >> I'm Congressman Suasmanium. Uh we're here today in New York to talk to Hillary Clinton and tomorrow to talk to former President Bill Clinton. I I want
[2:27:43]to make clear that uh there were no Republicans in Ohio to talk to Les Wexner who bankrolled uh the Epstein's fortune for the most part and and allowed a lot of his crimes to happen.
[2:27:53]Yet Hillary Clinton who maintains that she doesn't recall meeting Jeffrey Epstein is here today and we have a lot of Republicans here today. That's underscores to me the partisan nature of
[2:28:05]what some of the Republicans on our committee and in Congress are are doing and the way they're approaching this investigation. And meanwhile, they're not holding the Department of Justice accountable for breaking the law over
[2:28:16]and over again. There's two and a half million files that have not been released. And now we're hearing and seeing evidence of some of those files, including accusations against President
[2:28:26]Trump. We know that there are other information in those files that clearly is not about protecting victims. It's about protecting people who committed crimes. And so we as Democrats on the
[2:28:37]oversight committee are going to continue to uh approach this investigation in a nonpartisan way because all we want is the truth and we want justice for the survivors and we want to make sure this never happens
[2:28:48]again no matter how rich and powerful the perpetrators are. Thank you. >> Speaking of rich and powerful I'm I'm James Walkenshaw from Virginia.
[2:28:56]We are here today to continue our investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. And it's important to note and as others have said, there is no
[2:29:08]indication, zero, zip, zilch, natada, that Secretary Clinton had any knowledge of Epstein's crimes. She submitted a sworn statement that she never met
[2:29:19]Jeffrey Epstein. And my fear is we're here today as part of a a political exercise, part of a longunning fever dream where Republicans want to lock up
[2:29:30]Secretary Clinton. We had the State of the Union this week and uh President Trump spoke for two hours and refused to even acknowledge the courageous
[2:29:40]survivors of Epstein's crimes who were in the chamber. He wouldn't even address the issue. His attorney general refuses to even meet with the survivors. So, we
[2:29:52]want to conduct a serious bipartisan investigation. I'm glad that President Clinton will sit down with us tomorrow and answer questions about his
[2:30:01]relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, but I wanted to come today to ensure that this is a serious exercise, a serious investigation and not a political or
[2:30:12]partisan one. Thank you. >> Why weren't the Clintons to go to Washington to testify? >> I'll answer that. I'll answer that question. So, let me do this today. Let me go ahead. We're gonna answer two one or two questions. Let me just also say I
[2:30:23]think today also sets a precedent and so I want to be very clear that we have said from day one that we want to talk to former President Bill Clinton and the other person we want to talk to is
[2:30:34]current President Donald Trump. And so we should be very clear that now that we're going to hear from former President Clinton, I hope that Chairman Comr and the Republicans will join us in
[2:30:46]demanding that the person who actually appears more times in the files than the former president who we want to speak with is President Donald Trump. And so
[2:30:56]let's get President Trump in front of our committee to answer the questions that are being asked across this country
[2:31:06]from survivors from those. All >> right, everyone. You are watching live now from Fox. Just want to break in here. We were showcasing House Democrats from just a little bit ago, but I want
[2:31:17]to give you a fresh update from right outside of the Chapu Performing Arts Center where this deposition is happening. But we are learning from media reports though that the Hillary
[2:31:28]Hillary Clinton deposition has been paused because a photo of the ongoing interview uh was shared on social media violating House rules here. So, we'll get some more details there, but just a
[2:31:40]little hiccup right now into the deposition as it continues uh to roll on. In the meantime, I do want to go out uh to Capitol Hill Senate side. We do
[2:31:50]have Senate Democrats led by Senator Chuck Schumer giving an update on the Epstein files amid this deposition that is ongoing right now in New York.
[2:32:02]Let me repeat that. Our working group Senate Democrats will go re review the unredacted files in the coming days. Pam Bondi should listen carefully. The truth
[2:32:13]will come out. The whole ugly ugly truth about what she's doing to protect people in the files will come out. The whole world is going to know exactly what she
[2:32:23]knew when she knew it and what she did to cover it up. Democrats are going to hold Pam Bondi and everyone involved at
[2:32:32]the DOJ accountable for this cover up. Today, we are demanding that Department of Justice and the FBI preserve records
[2:32:42]on what transpired behind the scenes. We want to know who was involved in the decision to hide the truth. And a warning to the Trump cronies working on this, we will know if you are destroying documents and evidence. You will not
[2:32:54]outrun the law. You will not outrun the truth. This isn't political. The survivors deserve the truth. And the American
[2:33:04]people are demanding it. Democrats and Republicans agree the American people deserve the truth. So, Donald Trump, stop hiding. Stop delaying. Come clean
[2:33:15]with the American people. And if you don't, Democrats will make sure the truth comes out. Our next speaker is
[2:33:24]Senator Durban. Thanks, Senator Schumer. With the
[2:33:34]Epstein files, the Trump administration had an opportunity to secure a win for survivors, for accountability, and for transparency. But after mishandling the
[2:33:45]files for a year, it took an act of Congress to force Pam Bondi and Cash Patel to even consider providing justice.
[2:33:56]Even after the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the Trump administration decided to violate federal law to protect the rich and powerful.
[2:34:06]The law required DOJ to produce the files by December 19th. Yet, the vast majority of those files were not produced until January 30th, 42 days
[2:34:17]later. Department of Justice has violated the legislation's protection for victims by publishing records without redacting personally identifiable information of
[2:34:28]victims, including nude photos where their names and faces could be identified. In sharp contrast, other produced records heavily redacted
[2:34:38]information identifying powerful business and political figures who are alleged conspirators or material witnesses to Epstein's crimes. Violations of the Epstein Files
[2:34:50]Transparency Act continue as the Department of Justice has yet to produce all Epstein related records required by law and has removed thousands of records
[2:35:00]from the website beyond those that inappropriately identify victims. Keep in w mind a whistleblower told my office that FBI agents reviewing the
[2:35:12]Epstein files were instructed to flag any records that mentioned President Donald Trump. This disclosure is even more damning in light of yesterday's bombshell. The New York Times report
[2:35:23]that the Justice Department failed to disclose documents related to a woman who alleged that Trump sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Simply put, Pam Bondi and Cash Patel
[2:35:35]have mismanaged these records during their tenure in office. That is why as ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I'm joining our leadership Charles Schumer and a letter to the
[2:35:45]Justice Department and FBI requesting the preservation of records related to the management of the Epstein files over the course of the Trump administration. Preserving federal records and
[2:35:56]safeguarding information critical to congressional oversight is a legal obligation that all department employees are required to meet. As I told General Bondi during last year's Judiciary
[2:36:08]Committee oversight hearing, quote, "Eventually, you're going to have to answer for your conduct in this. You won't do it today, but eventually you
[2:36:16]will. The survivors deserve better. It's clear that Donald Trump and his Republican enablers are executing a cover up and conceal strategy. Heads are
[2:36:27]rolling at the highest levels of the United Kingdom. Will heads roll in the United States? When will the Trump administration come clean with the survivors and the American people? The
[2:36:38]sooner the better. Next, I believe Senator Bloom Bloom can't make it. >> He's not here yet. He's in another hearing. Senator Murphy, >> the Epstein Files Transparency Act that
[2:36:51]I introduced with Ben Ray Luhan in the Senate was crystal clear. No record shall be withheld, delayed, or redacted on the basis of any of the following: embarrassment, reputational harm,
[2:37:02]political sensitivity, including any government official, public figure, or foreign dignitary. Well, here we are. Those 99 days have passed and what we have seen is the
[2:37:14]files have not been released according to the law. We have seen that victims names and photos that were supposed to be redacted weren't redacted. And all
[2:37:25]kinds of redactions appear to have occurred for folks who are potential perpetrators. And we're seeing the Epstein files
[2:37:35]reverberate across the world. the prime minister of Norway, the former ambassador from Britain to the United
[2:37:45]States, uh, King Charles brother. But what about here in the United States of America? Why is there no accountability here in the United States of America for these atrocious crimes, the place where
[2:37:56]they occurred? We know that there were about 6 million pages, of which only somewhat more than three million have been released. We want those other three million released.
[2:38:08]And among them are these 50 pages that entail, as the New York Times said, claims made in 2019 by a woman who came forward after Mr. Epstein's arrest to
[2:38:19]say she'd been sexually assaulted by both Mr. Trump and Epstein when she was 13 to 15 years old. And it goes on to say that there were four interviews
[2:38:31]with this woman and only one of those interviews was released. Where are the other three? Now we know the other three exist because they are in the index
[2:38:42]and yet the pages are missing. How can anyone justify that these interviews have not been released?
[2:38:52]So that is a massive cover up by this administration. It's a massive and unacceptable cover up. We also know from the Telegraph
[2:39:04]that there are six secret storage units rendered across the country by Epstein that may have contained information that the Department of Justice hasn't
[2:39:12]apparently attempted to retrieve. By unanimous consent, the Senate said yes,
[2:39:22]we passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Senator Schumer came forward and tried to strengthen that act with some real penalties and the Republican whip
[2:39:32]objected. Well, if Republicans were with us on seeking full disclosure, why object to putting more teeth into this bill? We
[2:39:43]all together, Democrats and Republicans, should be saying yes on transparency for the public, yes on accountability for
[2:39:54]the perpetrators, and yes for the closest thing we can get to justice for the victims. >> Senator Ggo has been relentless on this
[2:40:03]issue. Senator, >> thank you. Um, as we stated, princes, CEOs, the most powerful men in the world are being held accountable everywhere except the United States where we are
[2:40:15]supposed to be a country of equal justice uh under the law. Uh, we are actually proving quite uh the opposite. You know what we're proving here right now, what the Republicans are proving right now with the help of Donald Trump
[2:40:27]and Attorney General uh Pam Bondi is that if you are part of the Epstein class, if you are rich enough, you are powerful enough, you can do some really horrific things, raping children, raping
[2:40:38]women, engaging in sex trafficking, and this administration, the Republicans will engage in an active cover up for you. And even more so now we're getting
[2:40:50]we're getting more reports of some real serious allegations of this president from a minor a woman who was a minor uh that is accusing the president of some very serious serious crimes. The
[2:41:01]American public deserves to know what happened, who was involved, not just President Trump, but everyone else involved. All these powerful men that are still walking around the United States right now. We're only talking
[2:41:12]about a couple years removed, a a decade removed from a lot of these allegations. These men are still in power. These men are still potentially victimizing women,
[2:41:23]victimizing children. And the fact that this administration is actively covering up past crimes potentially means they're covering up current crimes. It's time for us to have full transparency. It's
[2:41:34]time for us to have accountability. It's time for us to throw some people in jail that did some really horrible stuff against kids in this country. And the fact that Donald Trump and the
[2:41:45]Republicans after talking a big game for se so many years about going after pedophiles are actively covering up for pedophiles right now should tell you exactly what is wrong with this
[2:41:55]administration. I unfortunately am going to have to go read those uh redacted files uh next week. It's one of those things that you don't want to do. Uh the disgusting nature what I'm going
[2:42:07]to find on there is going to you'll probably make me uh a very ill. But because we have an administration that's actively covering up pedophiles, uh we
[2:42:18]have to take this step and we have to take the step to keep them accountable and to expose all these pedophiles that are still in power right now all over this country. Thank you. And just one
[2:42:29]more point which this um this article from the New York Times shows more and more is keep more and more keeps coming out and the more we that comes out the
[2:42:40]more we see how large their coverup has been questions on this subject. >> But yes in the back >> Yeah, we're all going together. Yeah, I
[2:42:52]mentioned that in my remarks. Yes. >> Yeah. Yes. I I don't know if we're going to get We're all going and we have set up appointments to go. Yes, >> Leader Schumer, you asked for unanimous
[2:43:02]consent on the floor a few weeks ago with Baraso objective. What is your core strategy moving forward to kind of get Senate action on this? >> Well, the bottom line is the Republicans
[2:43:13]all voted for it, every single one. And we're going to keep at it. We're going to use every strategy we can going to the Justice Department seeking lawsuits as well as whatever legislative
[2:43:23]strategies will work. Yes. >> Look, all the truth should come out.
[2:43:34]Period. >> Yes. >> Just two questions. Europe and
[2:43:46]>> as my colleagues well outlined, I agree. Second question, how do you react to people who say that Democrats and Republicans are enacting a new basically judging guilty by association
[2:43:58]whoever is in the email? >> Yeah. All we want is the truth. The truth >> there was any effort to reach out to President Trump.
[2:44:08]>> Uhhuh. Uh there will be efforts to reach out to everyone who's willing to come forward and speak. And do you want to talk about that? I think I mentioned it right. >> Yeah.
[2:44:19]>> Both letter on preserving evidence of witnesses. >> Yeah. So we can get it. >> Yes. >> When you see the unredacted documents, what can the public expect from you to inform them? Can you do anything to inform them?
[2:44:30]>> Well, let's we we're not going to prejudge. Let's see what's in the documents. We want to protect people's identities, but we also want the truth to come out and we will walk that line
[2:44:40]uh with with with great vigor. Yes. There are an additional 3 million files that have not been released and many it seems that the files that have been released remain redacted or have
[2:44:51]redacted. So what steps are you taking to ensure that those redactions are >> Yeah, we're going to demand justification for any redactions and if the redactions are coverups as opposed
[2:45:01]to protecting identities, we're going to get to the bottom of it. >> We're going to get to the bottom of it. Okay. Thank you everybody. Thank you. >> That was Senate Democrats talking about
[2:45:13]the Epstein files amid the Clinton deposition that has been going on for a little bit over well just under two hours. But there was a slight delay in
[2:45:25]the middle of this de deposition because we are now learning that representative uh Boowbert uh sent a photo of inside uh
[2:45:36]of this deposition and sent it to Benny Johnson and then Benny Johnson posted on X and well that caught wind there
[2:45:46]worldwide and uh they put a stop to the deposition for just a little bit. because that was a no no. No video or no
[2:45:56]audio would be uh coming out or photos of this until the actual release of the video. So, we'll be keeping an eye on all of this here for you on live now
[2:46:06]from Fox, awaiting more updates from the Hillary Clinton deposition. >> Sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. the closed
[2:46:20]door interview which will be videotaped and we should also know uh that let you know that we heard from Representative Comr and he said that at a later date we
[2:46:32]will receive the video of this deposition. So as soon as we receive that video, we're going to pump it right out to you on live now from Fox.
[2:46:43]The committee will meet with former President Bill Clinton tomorrow for a similar deposition. And the in-person interviews come after months of bitter
[2:46:53]back and forth between the former first couple and the committee, which at one point threatened to hold the Clintons in contempt of Congress for failing to
[2:47:02]comply with a subpoena it issued back in August. The committee initially scheduled their depositions for October. Committee chair James Comr, a Republican from Kentucky, has accused them of
[2:47:14]having given the panel the runaround since then. The Clintons had volunteered to testify at a public hearing, but Comr said the committee's practice is to conduct closed-d dooror interviews with
[2:47:25]witnesses before it holds hearings. The Clintons have repeatedly denied wrongdoing related to Epstein and have not been accused of any crimes in connection with him. Hillary Clinton,
[2:47:36]the Democratic nominee who lost the presidential election to Donald Trump back in 2016, has said they have little information to offer the panel about Epstein, who died in jail back in 2019
[2:47:48]as he was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. She has accused the committee of using her and her husband to try to distract from Trump's ties to
[2:47:58]Epstein. Other witnesses were asked to testify. They have written statements under oath. We offered that to Hillary Clinton told the BBC in an interview
[2:48:07]last week. Why do they want to pull us into this? She asked to divert attention from President Trump. She then asked her own answered her own question. Undated
[2:48:19]photographs of Bill Clinton with Epstein and co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell were released in December in the first trunch of documents made public under the
[2:48:28]Epstein Files Transparency Act, a 2025 law that requires the Justice Department to make public its investigative files relating to Epstein and Maxwell. It's
[2:48:39]unclear where the photos were taken. Bill Clinton spokesperson has said he traveled on Epstein's plane four times
[2:48:46]in 2022 and 2003 uh 2002 uh I I want to make that clear. 2002 and 2003 on trips
[2:48:56]for his Clinton Foundation. It's unclear whether Hillary Clinton, who did not go on those trips, ever met Epstein, who pleaded guilty in Florida to state
[2:49:06]charge of soliciting a minor back in 2008 and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. She told the BBC this month that she does not believe she met him.
[2:49:17]Hillary Clinton did however know Maxwell, who was convicted in two 2021 of federal sex trafficking charges, including conspiracy to entice minors to
[2:49:28]travel to engage in illicit sex acts. Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence. In an unusual interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch last
[2:49:38]year, Maxwell said that President Clinton was my friend, not Epstein's friend, and that she was the one who was asked Epstein to let Bill Clinton and
[2:49:48]other foundation members and guests use his plane back in 2002. It's unclear when Maxwell first met the former president. She said she was introduced
[2:49:59]to him by a mutual f friend after he left office in 2001. She said she met Hillary Clinton at some point in either Nantucket or Martha's
[2:50:10]Vineyard in Massachusetts and I went to the house a few times. Maxwell did not say when those trips were. She told Blanch that Bill Clinton was very close
[2:50:20]friends with billionaire Ted Wait, who she said um that she dated back in 2003 to 2010. Maxwell and Wade both attended
[2:50:31]Chelsea Clinton's wedding in 2010. Maxwell was also spotted at a 2013 Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting in New York years after she had been
[2:50:42]publicly accused in a civil suit of helping Epstein groom and sexually abuse minors. It's unclear when she last saw
[2:50:51]or communicated with Hillary Clinton. In her BBC interview, the former Secretary of State uh that uh has said that she met Maxwell on a few occasions that
[2:51:03]thousands of people go to the Clinton Global Initiative. In her interview with Blanch, Maxwell was asked when she had
[2:51:12]last gone on a trip with or or has seen Bill Clinton. It was in was late 2000 and I don't know 16, 17, 18 something in
[2:51:22]it. It was in Los Angeles. She said, "I think he was hosting something or he was at an event and I was in LA. I had dinner with him." In a sw in a sworn
[2:51:32]declaration sent to the oversight committee last month, Bill Clinton said, "I have no recollection of when I first met Miss Maxwell, though I believe she was working for Mr. Epstein at the
[2:51:44]time." He he also added that she later began a personal relationship with a mutual friend. A separate declaration from Hillary Clinton used the same language about
[2:51:56]Maxwell and both Clintons said that they have no personal knowledge of either Epstein's or Maxwell's criminal activities. Maxwell told Blanch that she
[2:52:06]never saw Bill Clinton or Trump doing anything inappropriate. After her interview with Blanch, a former Trump attorney, Maxwell was transferred from a
[2:52:15]prison in Florida to a lower minimum security prison camp in Texas. So, we are continuing to roll on right here on live down from Fox giving you the
[2:52:26]updates. Again, the deposition is underway in New York. Representative Comr says at a later date we will see this video of this deposition and of
[2:52:38]course as soon as it's released to the public. You are going to see it on live now from Fox. Hillary Clinton's testimony before members of the House
[2:52:48]Oversight and Government Reform Committee focusing on the federal government's handling of the investigations into Jeffrey Epstein and
[2:52:56]his co-conspirator Gain Maxwell as well as potential ethics violations by elected officials according to a person granted uh uh information to share
[2:53:08]details of the plans for this closed door deposition out in New York. The former Secretary of State testifying today and her husband, former President
[2:53:16]Bill Clinton, being deposed tomorrow. Among the terms for Hillary Clinton's agreement to comply with this congressional subpoena and participate
[2:53:27]in the panel's Epstein investigation, she will agree to engage in questions about Epstein and Maxwell's efforts to exploit their connections to powerful figures such as the Clintons to protect
[2:53:38]themselves from accountability for their alleged sex trafficking crimes. the person said. The oversight panel has also agreed to discuss the government's mishandling of the Epstein case, which
[2:53:49]began in Florida long after Bill Clinton left office. Notably, the list agreed upon issues does not include unrelated topics that have long been a fixation among Republicans, such as Hillary
[2:54:01]Clinton's handling of the 2012 Benghazi attack while she was Secretary of State or her use of a private email server for official communications. She was dogged by both issues as she ran for president
[2:54:12]in 2016 against Donald Trump. Neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein. Hillary Clinton has maintained that she has no memory of meeting
[2:54:24]Epstein, while Bill Clinton has admitted to using Epstein's plane on several occasions, but has maintained he never visited the island. Both have said that
[2:54:34]they have no knowledge of his crimes. Hillary. >> All right, everyone. I do want to now
[2:54:45]read to you Hillary Clinton's statement. It was just released on her ex. I want to bring this here to you. This is the opening statement that she is giving
[2:54:54]during this deposition. So, let me read that to you right now on Live Now from Fox. It goes as, "Mr. Chairman, ranking member, members of the committee, as a
[2:55:06]former senator, I have respect for legislative oversight, and I expect its exercise, as do the American people, to be principled and fearless in pursuit of
[2:55:17]truth and accountability. As we all know, however, too often congressional investigations are partisan political theater, which is an abdication of duty
[2:55:28]and an insult to the American people. The committee justified its subpoena to me based on its assumption that I have information regarding the investigations into the criminal activities of Jeffrey
[2:55:40]Epstein and Golain Maxwell. Let me be as clear as I can. I do not. As I stated in my sworn declaration back on January 13th, I had no idea about their criminal
[2:55:52]activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein. I never flew on his plane or visited his island homes or offices. I have nothing to add to
[2:56:02]that. Like every decent person, I have been horrified by what we have learned about their crimes. It's unfathomable that Mr. Epstein initially got a slap in
[2:56:13]the wrist back in 2008, which allowed him to continue his predatory practices for another decade. Mr. Chairman, your investigation is supposed to be assessing the federal government's
[2:56:24]handling of the investigations and prosecutions of Epstein and his crimes. You subpoenaed eight law enforcement officials, all of whom ran the
[2:56:35]Department of Justice or directed the FBI when Epstein's crimes were investigated and prosecuted. Of those eight, only one appeared before the committee. Five of the six former
[2:56:45]attorney generals were allowed to submit brief statements stating they had no information to provide. You have had zero public hearings, refused to allow the media to attend them, including
[2:56:56]today, despite expousing the need for transparency on dozens of occasions. You have made little effort to call the people who show up prominently in the
[2:57:07]Epstein files. And when you did, not a single Republican member showed up for Les Wexner's deposition. It goes on to say the institutional
[2:57:25]failure is designed to protect one political party and one political official rather than to seek truth and justice for the victims and survivors as
[2:57:36]well as the public who also want to get to the bottom of this matter. My heart breaks for the survivors and I am furious on their behalf. I've spent my
[2:57:46]life advocating for women and girls. I have worked hard to stop the terrible abuses so many women and girls face here around the world, including human trafficking, forced labor, and sexual
[2:57:58]slavery. For for too long, these have been largely invisible crimes or not treated as crimes at all. But the survivors are real and they are entitled
[2:58:08]to better. In Southeast Asia, I met girls as young as 12 years old who were forced into prostitution and raped repeatedly. Some were dying of AIDS. In Eastern Europe, I met mothers who told
[2:58:19]me that they lost daughters to trafficking and did not know where to turn. In settings around the world, I met survivors trying to rebuild their lives and help rescue others with little
[2:58:29]support from people in power who too often turned a blind eye and a cold shoulder. If you are new to this issue, let me tell you, Jeffrey Epstein was a heinous individual, but he's far from
[2:58:41]alone. This is not a oneoff tabloid sensation or a political scandal. It's a global problem with an unimaginable
[2:58:51]human toll. My work combating sex trafficking goes back to the my first days as first lady. I worked to pass the first federal legislation against
[2:59:01]trafficking and was proud that my husband signed the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, which increased support for survivors and gave prosecutors better tools for going after
[2:59:13]traffickers. As Secretary of State, I appointed a former federal prosecutor to ramp up our global anti-trafficking efforts. I oversaw nearly 170 anti-trafficking
[2:59:24]programs in 70 nations and directly pressed foreign leaders to crack down on trafficking networks in their countries. Every year, we published a global report
[2:59:34]to shine a light on abuses. The findings of those reports triggered sanctions on countries failing to make progress, so they became a powerful diplomatic tool
[2:59:44]to drive concrete action. I insisted that the United States be included in the report for the first time ever back in 2011 because we must hold ourselves
[2:59:54]not just the same standard as the rest of the world, but to an even higher one. Sex trafficking in modern slavery should
[3:00:02]have no place in America. None. The Secretary Clinton's opening statement continues saying the Trump administration gutted the trafficking in
[3:00:13]person's office at the State Department, cutting more than 70% of the career civil and foreign service experts who worked so hard to prevent trafficking
[3:00:24]crimes. The annual trafficking report required by law was delayed for months. The message from the Trump administration to the American people and the world could not be clear.
[3:00:34]Combating human trafficking is no longer an American priority under the Trump White House. This is a tragedy. It's a scandal. It deserves vigorous
[3:00:43]investigation and oversight. A committee endeavoring to stopping human trafficking would seek to understand what specific steps are needed to fix a
[3:00:53]system that allowed Epstein to get away with his crimes back in 2008. A committee run by elected officials with a commitment to transparency would ensure the full rel release of all the
[3:01:04]files. It would ensure that the awful redactions of those files protected the victims and survivors, not powerful men and political allies. It would go and
[3:01:14]get to the bottom of reports that DOJ withheld FBI interviews in which a survivor accuses President Trump of heinous crimes. It would subpoena anyone
[3:01:24]who asked on which night there would be the wildest party on Epstein's island. It would demand testimony from prosecutors in Florida and New York
[3:01:34]about why they gave Epstein a sweetheart deal and chose not to pursue others who may have been implicated. It would demand this that Secretary Rubio and Attorney General Bondi testify about why
[3:01:46]this administration is abandoning survivors and playing into the hands of traffickers. It would seek out officers not on the front lines of the fight and
[3:01:56]ask them what support they need. It would be put forth legislation to provide more resources and force the administration to act. But that's not
[3:02:07]happening. Instead, you have compelled me to testify, fully aware that I have no acknowledge, no knowledge that would assist you in the investigation in order to distract attention from President
[3:02:19]Trump's actions and to cover them up despite legitimate calls for answers. If this committee is serious about learning the truth about Epstein's trafficking crimes, it would not rely on press
[3:02:29]gaggles to get answers from our current president on his involvement. It would ask him directly under oath about the tens of thousands of times he showed up
[3:02:39]on in the Epstein files. If the majority was serious, it would not waste time on fishing expeditions. There is too much that needs to be done. What is being
[3:02:50]held back? Who is being protected? And why the cover up? My challenge to you, Mr. Chairman, members of the committee, is the same challenge I put to myself
[3:03:01]throughout my long service in this nation. How to be worthy of the trust of the American people has given you. They expect statesmanship, not gamesmanship.
[3:03:12]Leading, not grandstanding. They expect you to use your power to get to the truth and to do more to help survivors of Epstein's crimes as well as the
[3:03:21]millions more who are victims of sex trafficking. Again, that was the fourpage Secretary Clinton's opening statement that you just read to uh the
[3:03:33]committee just moments ago. And again, we are waiting for more key updates coming from inside uh this area where this uh deposition is now underway. Of
[3:03:44]course, we'll always be bringing you these updates all here on Live Now from Fox. I do now want to uh showcase to you House Democrats just moments ago
[3:03:54]speaking to the media and we're going to bring that to you right here on Live Now from Fox. >> Well, good morning everyone. Uh my name
[3:04:13]is Robert Garcia. I am the ranking member for the Oversight Democrats. Uh we're here today, of course, for uh two days of depositions of both Secretary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton. So, I'm going to have some
[3:04:24]general comments. We will actually be back out here to uh answer any questions once we've actually started the depositions, but we wanted to make some brief comments right now and then we'll
[3:04:34]go ahead and uh and go in and start. Um, let me just begin by saying that oversight Democrats from from day one, we have said that we want to talk to anyone, any person that information
[3:04:45]about Jeffrey Epstein, about his crimes, about how he was able to get so much wealth, we will talk to any single person, whether that is a Democrat, a
[3:04:56]Republican, how much wealth they have, how powerful their position is, we want to talk to anyone. So, we're happy to be here and we're glad that both Secretary Clinton and former President Clinton are
[3:05:06]willing to talk to this committee. I also think it's important to note I'm glad to see that we have our Republican colleagues here as a big group of them. I wish they would have joined us at the
[3:05:17]Les Wexner deposition, but I'm glad that they're here now to get questions answered. That is important part of our investigation. Uh, let me just add that um as it relates to Secretary Clinton
[3:05:27]who's here today, uh, she has been very clear. uh she's never met Jeffrey Epstein. We have no evidence of her having any interactions uh with Mr. Epstein. And so I think that's important
[3:05:37]to note as we walk into this deposition. Uh but I also want to say which I think is very important that at this very moment, the Department of Justice
[3:05:46]continues to lead a White House cover up and we're going to be demanding even over these next few days that the remaining files that have not been
[3:05:55]released get released to the public. And that includes new files that were just discovered in the last couple days of a survivor that
[3:06:07]has made serious accusations and allegations against not just Jeffrey Epstein, but also against President Trump and about
[3:06:17]abuse that she suffered when she was a minor. We have seen the DOJ files and the archive manifest that clearly shows that
[3:06:28]the interviews and information around this survivor have been removed and are
[3:06:34]missing from the DOJ files. Where are these files? Who removed them?
[3:06:45]Those questions have to be answered. What we have is a survivor that we have verified, that others have verified, and those files are missing. And it's not just
[3:06:56]those. It's an additional 50% of files that are missing. It is unconscionable. It is illegal. And Pam Bondi and the president need an answer to where those
[3:07:07]files are. And that's going to continue to drive our work, not just today, but every single day until we get justice for the survivors. I'm going to have um some of our our members here make a few
[3:07:16]comments as well. >> Thank you. Um it is abundantly clear that this is the most egregious cover up in American history. The recent
[3:07:28]reporting by the New York Times, NPR, and other media outlets that have verified this demonstrating that the Department of Justice, in addition to
[3:07:37]violating the law over and over again as they refuse to release the full and unredacted files, have withheld 50 pages of allegations against President Trump.
[3:07:48]This cover up needs to end immediately. I am glad that we are here today as part of this ongoing investigation because we will accept any information that anybody
[3:07:59]can give us about Jeffrey Epstein's vast child sex trafficking operation. I just want to say that young people in this country are watching right now. If the
[3:08:10]most powerful people in the United States of America, the elite and rich and powerful men and women are able to get away with these heinous crimes, then
[3:08:21]we are sending a horrible message to young people in this country that powerful people will always protect themselves and the rule of law does not apply to everyone. And so I look forward
[3:08:32]to the next two days and we know that there is so much more to uncover here and we expect to get answers from the Department of Justice immediately. Thank
[3:08:42]you. >> I'm Congressman Suasmanium. Uh we're here today in New York to talk to Hillary Clinton and tomorrow to talk to former President Bill Clinton. I I want
[3:08:53]to make clear that uh there were no Republicans in Ohio to talk to Les Wexner who bankrolled uh Epstein's fortune for the most part and and allowed a lot of his crimes to happen.
[3:09:04]Yet Hillary Clinton who maintains that she doesn't recall meeting Jeffrey Epstein is here today and we have a lot of Republicans here today. That's underscores to me the partisan nature of
[3:09:15]what some of the Republicans on our committee and in Congress are are doing and the way they're approaching this investigation. And meanwhile, they're not holding the Department of Justice accountable for breaking the law over
[3:09:26]and over again. There's two and a half million files that have not been released. And now we're hearing and seeing evidence of some of those files, including accusations against President
[3:09:36]Trump. We know that there are other information in those files that clearly is not about protecting victims. It's about protecting people who committed crimes. And so we as Democrats on the
[3:09:48]oversight committee are going to continue to uh approach this investigation in a nonpartisan way because all we want is the truth and we want justice for the survivors and we want to make sure this never happens
[3:09:58]again no matter how rich and powerful the perpetrators are. Thank you. >> Speaking of rich and powerful, how come? >> I'm I'm James Walkenshaw from Virginia.
[3:10:07]We are here today to continue our investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. And it's important to note and as others have said, there is no
[3:10:19]indication, zero, zip, zilch, natada, that Secretary Clinton had any knowledge of Epstein's crimes. She submitted a sworn statement that she never met
[3:10:30]Jeffrey Epstein. And my fear is we're here today as part of a a political exercise, part of a longunning fever dream where Republicans want to lock up
[3:10:41]Secretary Clinton. We had the State of the Union this week and uh President Trump spoke for two hours and refused to even acknowledge the courageous
[3:10:51]survivors of Epstein's crimes who were in the chamber. He wouldn't even address the issue. His attorney general refuses to even meet with the survivors. So, we
[3:11:02]want to conduct a serious bipartisan investigation. I'm glad that President Clinton will sit down with us tomorrow and answer questions about his
[3:11:12]relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, but I wanted to come today to ensure that this is a serious exercise, a serious investigation and not a political
[3:11:22]bipartisan one. Thank you. >> Why weren't the Clintons made to go to Washington to testify? >> I'll answer that. I'll answer that question. So, let me do this today. Let me go ahead. We're going to answer two one or two questions. Let me just also
[3:11:33]say I think today also sets a precedent. So I want to be very clear that we have said from day one that we want to talk to former President Bill Clinton and the
[3:11:44]other person we want to talk to is current President Donald Trump. And so we should be very clear that now that we're going to hear from former President Clinton, I hope that Chairman
[3:11:54]Comr and the Republicans will join us in demanding that the person who actually appears more times in the files than the former president who we want to speak
[3:12:03]with is President Donald Trump. And so let's get President Trump in front of our committee to answer the questions
[3:12:13]that are being asked across this country from survivors from those who have been brutally attacked and raped sometimes as children. Let's release the files and
[3:12:23]answer one or two questions. Thank you. >> So should the Clintons have come forward sooner to testify and be deposed in front of the committee? And also what are the discussions with Republicans about bringing other administration
[3:12:34]officials like Lutnik who are mentioned in files before lawmaker? >> We want to hear from Howard Lutnik. Howard Lutnik of course said that he stopped communicating with Epstein, our commerce secretary, then goes on to visit Epstein's island, communicate with
[3:12:46]him, go into business with him. All of which was not disclosed. He should not be the commerce secretary right now. As relates to the questions about the location, the location was selected by Republicans. The majority controls where
[3:12:56]where and how the depositions are done. We want to continue hearing from folks. Um, just a question. What I mean, what could they possibly ask Hillary Clinton all day? Uh, they've mentioned Maxwell
[3:13:08]at the wedding. Um, and what questions you said you're happy to talk to anyone. What questions do you have for Hillary Clinton given that she said she has no connection? >> We're going to we're going to give the secretary an opportunity uh to clarify
[3:13:18]any questions that Republicans might have that we might have. Look, if she has any information that could be helpful to the investigation, we want to hear that. And so, we're we're going to find out here. We'll we'll report back what's actually uh being asked, but
[3:13:30]broadly speaking, um anyone that has any information, whether they're Republicans or Democrats, we want a nonpartisan investigation, and that's going to include ensuring that President Trump comes before our committee. >> Yes.
[3:13:41]>> Do you have questions about the Clinton Global Initiative and the fundraising fall? >> There's going to be questions asked about that. So, thank you very much. We'll come back out. >> Thank you. >> All right. So, that was House Democrats
[3:13:52]just before the deposition going. Now, what I want to do is show you the Republicans led by Representative James Comr, the chairman of the oversight
[3:14:02]committee, either been interviewed by the oversight committee or sent in a statement that
[3:14:13]they had never met Epstein and had no no knowledge of the investigation except the Clintons. Uh we worked for six months to get the Clintons to come in
[3:14:23]and then they um acted like they were going to come in and then they didn't show up and obviously we moved to hold the Clintons in contempt. And I think one thing that surprised the Clintons,
[3:14:34]they assumed the Democrats on the committee would vote in a in a partisan manner and not vote to hold the Clintons in contempt. And what they learned was a majority of the Democrats on the
[3:14:45]committee uh either voted to hold the Clintons in contempt or voted present. And I think that's a statement uh that this investigation is serious. Uh it is a bipartisan investigation. The American
[3:14:57]people have a lot of questions. Uh to my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered very many, if any, questions about their knowledge or involvement uh with Epstein
[3:15:07]and Maxwell. Again, no one's accusing at this moment the Clintons of any wrongdoing. They're going to have due process, but we have a lot of questions and the purpose of the whole
[3:15:16]investigation is to try to understand uh many things about Epstein. How did he accumulate so much wealth? How was he able to surround himself with some of
[3:15:27]the most powerful men in the world? Uh was he an asset uh for our government or any other government? These are the questions that uh we're going to ask over the next two days and hopefully
[3:15:38]we'll be able to get some answers. And as always, uh we're going to release the transcripts. We're going to release the video as soon as uh everyone has approved it. The normal process in a
[3:15:49]deposition is the attorneys uh would have the opportunity to review the transcript and review the video to make sure that there are no errors. And uh this is going to be a long video because
[3:16:00]this is going to be a long deposition. Today will be a long deposition, I would assume. And tomorrow will be an even longer deposition. Every member of the oversight committee is going to have
[3:16:11]questions for the Clintons uh as well as our trained staff that do nothing but deposition. So uh after our hour of questioning, we're going to send a
[3:16:22]couple of members of the oversight committee out to be able to give you an update of what's going on and answer some questions. So with that, we'll answer a question or two and then we'll go back to
[3:16:31]>> Mr. Mr. Are you concerned that there has been a cover up of sexual abuse of a minor by President Trump? There are missing FBI records that appear to be >> No, we're looking into the the
[3:16:43]accusation by the NPR. Uh we don't know that the answer to that. We know what the administration says. We're still looking to to uh get a definitive answer
[3:16:53]on that. But look, let's let's just be realistic here. If you go by a lot of what the Democrats have said, you had uh Jasmine Crockett accused Lee Zelden of taking donations from Jeffrey Epste. It
[3:17:04]was the wrong Jeffrey Epstein. We've had Roa sit on the floor and name names of people that were he thought were involved in Epstein that weren't even involved. So, uh you know, sometimes the Democrats on the committee aren't the
[3:17:15]best. What about the idea though that I understand you you say that this is different with some of the members or some of the people who were subpoenaed who didn't have a direct contact but
[3:17:26]some folks have said it seems like you're the Clintons are basically on trial here versus people who know more about the uh you know what was going on with Maxwell what was going on with Epstein and that this is really kind of
[3:17:38]dragging them through the mud when there are other witnesses let's let's let's address that Chad the Democrats voted to subpoena the Clintons the Democrats voted with the Republicans to hold the
[3:17:49]Clintons in contempt. So the Democrats have just as many questions for the Clintons as the Republicans. So this isn't a a partisan witch hunt. This was
[3:17:57]a motion, a bipartisan motion supported by the Democrats to bring the Clintons in. So I I don't think it's a any type of being unfair in any way to the
[3:18:09]Clintons. They've never answered questions unlike President Trump who gets questioned every day by just about every one of you about his knowledge or involvement with Epstein. To my knowledge, the Clintons haven't answered
[3:18:20]very many questions. >> One more question. In the spirit of bipartisanship, would you then ask the commerce secretary Howard Lutnik to come testify? It seems like he has some information.
[3:18:31]>> That's very possible. And I think there, you know, I think it's a good uh possibility that his name will arise in some questioning today. >> It'll be on my list and I have an email I printed off for Hillary to ask about Howard Lutnik today. So
[3:18:42]>> guys watching we're asking again uh and I want to remind everyone we've already brought in Alex Aosta and Bill Barr for deposition. That's two Republicans in the in the
[3:18:53]Trump administration. So this isn't just about Democrats. This is about anyone that has any knowledge of Epstein the investigation. I think we all agree the government failed the government failed
[3:19:05]the victims. And what our role is, we can't we can't prosecute anyone, but what we have been doing is getting transparency with the American people. We subpoenaed the estate. That had
[3:19:16]nothing to do with the discharge petition. We subpoenaed the uh the documents for the estate. That's what the victims asked us to do. And what you're seeing is there is accountability finally happening. you you've seen at
[3:19:27]least a dozen very powerful people, men and women, who have already resigned, uh many in disgrace from their board positions. So, uh we're seeing
[3:19:38]accountability, but we have uh a desire to see a lot more accountability. We want to get the answers and hopefully the next two days will be a step in the
[3:19:47]right direction on our >> one. Now, that being said, I mean, Hillary Clinton has said she has no links to Jeffrey Epstein. She doesn't
[3:19:57]recall meeting him. So, what specific information do you believe she has that warrants her testimony? >> Well, we you'll see. I mean, we're going to ask a lot of questions, but but with
[3:20:06]respect to uh when you look at all the co-conspirators, and we've all seen the the unredacted documents, Maxwell is the main
[3:20:16]co-conspirator. No one brought more women in and lied to more women about what was going to happen with their involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, then
[3:20:26]Gain Maxwell. We know that obviously Maxwell was a guest at Chelsea Clinton's wedding. There weren't many people that went to that wedding. So, uh, again, we're not accusing Hillary Clinton of
[3:20:37]wrongdoing. We know that Jeffrey Epstein said many times in emails that he was the the first person to raise money for the Clinton initiative, the Clinton Foundation, that uh he solicited money
[3:20:48]at some of his properties for the Clinton Foundation. Again, that's not saying anything illegal, but uh there are a lot of questions pertaining to Secretary Clinton with respect to Epstein and his involvement in the
[3:20:59]Clinton initiative and her relationship with with Kain Maxwell. So, we'll come out every hour when we get finished and different members will update you and answer any questions. Thank you. >> Clinton's forced to go to Washington.
[3:21:11]>> Right everyone, you are watching live now from Fox. That was earlier right before the deposition uh was to begin again. We have been talking about this hiccup that happened while the
[3:21:22]deposition was going. I want to show you what caused a delay and uh really uh causing a stir within uh this deposition. Benny Johnson putting this
[3:21:33]out on X saying breaking the first image of Hillary Clinton testifying under oath about Jeffrey Epstein to the Republican Oversight Committee. This is the first time Hillary has had to answer real
[3:21:44]questions about Epstein. Clinton does not look happy. photo provided by Representative Lauren Boowbert. So, she is the one that posted not not posted
[3:21:55]this, but sent this to Benny. Benny posted on his social media and gave her the credit as well as tagging her in the photo there as well. Again, again, this
[3:22:06]was against the rules. There was to be no video audio, only the videotape that is being taped here uh by the committee.
[3:22:15]That tape will be sent uh at a later date to the public and media and uh we'll showcase that as soon as we get it. But yeah, that definitely caused a
[3:22:25]stir. No doubt about it. Live look right now right outside of the Chapua Performing Arts Center where this uh deposition is happening. I want to show
[3:22:35]you uh just a little bit ago when we had Senate Democrats led by Senator Schumer discussing the Epstein files. Let's
[3:22:45]listen in right now on Live Now from Fox. The coming days, let me repeat that. Our working group
[3:22:56]Senate Democrats will go re review the unredacted files in the coming days. Pam Bondi should listen carefully. The truth will come out. The whole ugly ugly truth
[3:23:08]about what she's doing to protect people in the files will come out. The whole world is going to know exactly what she knew when she knew it and what she did
[3:23:19]to cover it up. Democrats are going to hold Pam Bondi and everyone involved at the DOJ accountable for this cover up.
[3:23:29]Today, we are demanding that Department of Justice and the FBI preserve records on what transpired behind the scenes. We want to know who was involved in the decision to hide the truth. And a
[3:23:40]warning to the Trump cronies working on this, we will know if you are destroying documents and evidence. You will not outrun the law. You will not outrun the truth.
[3:23:51]This isn't political. The survivors deserve the truth. And the American people are demanding it. Democrats and Republicans agree the American people deserve the truth. So, Donald Trump,
[3:24:03]stop hiding. Stop delaying. Come clean with the American people. And if you don't, Democrats will make sure the
[3:24:12]truth comes out. Our next speaker is Senator Durban. Thanks, Senator Schumer. With the
[3:24:26]Epstein files, the Trump administration had an opportunity to secure a win for survivors, for accountability, and for transparency. But after mishandling the
[3:24:37]files for a year, it took an act of Congress to force Pam Bondi and Cash Patel to even consider providing justice.
[3:24:48]Even after the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the Trump administration decided to violate federal law to protect the rich and powerful.
[3:24:58]The law required DOJ to produce the files by December 19th. Yet, the vast majority of those files were not produced until January 30th, 42 days
[3:25:09]later. Department of Justice has violated the legislation's protection for victims by publishing records without redacting personally identifiable information of
[3:25:20]victims, including nude photos where their names and faces could be identified. In sharp contrast, other produced records heavily redacted
[3:25:30]information identifying powerful business and political figures who are alleged conspirators or material witnesses to Epstein's crimes. Violations of the Epstein Files
[3:25:42]Transparency Act continue as the Department of Justice has yet to produce all Epstein related records required by law and has removed thousands of records
[3:25:51]from the website beyond those that inappropriately identify victims. Keep in mind mind a whistleblower told my office that FBI agents reviewing the
[3:26:03]Epstein files were instructed to flag any records that mentioned President Donald Trump. This disclosure is even more damning in light of yesterday's bombshell. The New York Times report
[3:26:15]that the Justice Department failed to disclose documents related to a woman who alleged that Trump sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Simply put, Pam Bondi and Cash Patel
[3:26:27]have mismanaged these records during their tenure in office. That is why as ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I'm joining our leadership Charles Schumer and in a letter to the
[3:26:37]Justice Department and FBI requesting the preservation of records related to the management of the Epstein files over the course of the Trump administration. Preserving federal records and
[3:26:48]safeguarding information critical to congressional oversight is a legal obligation that all department employees are required to meet. As I told General Bondi during last year's judiciary
[3:27:00]committee oversight hearing, quote, "Eventually, you're going to have to answer for your conduct in this. You won't do it today, but eventually you
[3:27:08]will. The survivors deserve better. It's clear that Donald Trump and his Republican enablers are executing a cover up and conceal strategy. Heads are
[3:27:19]rolling at the highest levels of the United Kingdom. Will heads roll in the United States? When will the Trump administration come clean with the survivors and the American people? The
[3:27:29]sooner the better. Next, I believe Senator Bloom Bloom can't make it. >> He's not here yet. He's in another hearing. Senator Murphy, >> Senator Murphy, >> the Epstein Files Transparency Act that
[3:27:43]I introduced with Ben Ray Luhan in the Senate was crystal clear. No record shall be withheld, delayed, or redacted on the basis of any of the following: embarrassment, reputational harm,
[3:27:54]political sensitivity, including any government official, public figure, or foreign dignitary. Well, here we are. Those 99 days have passed and what we have seen is the
[3:28:06]files have not been released according to the law. We have seen that victims names and photos that were supposed to be redacted weren't redacted. And all kinds of
[3:28:17]redactions appear to have occurred for folks who are potential perpetrators. And we're seeing the Epstein files
[3:28:27]reverberate across the world. the prime minister of Norway, the former ambassador from Britain to the United
[3:28:37]States, uh King Charles brother. But what about here in the United States of America? Why is there no accountability here in the United States of America for these atrocious crimes? The place where
[3:28:48]they occurred. We know that there were about 6 million pages of which only somewhat more than three million have been released. We want those other three million released.
[3:29:00]And among them are these 50 pages that entail, as the New York Times said, claims made in 2019 by a woman who came forward after Mr. Epstein's arrest to
[3:29:11]say she'd been sexually assaulted by both Mr. Trump and Epstein when she was 13 to 15 years old. And it goes on to say that there were four interviews
[3:29:22]with this woman and only one of those interviews was released. Where are the other three? Now we know the other three exist because they are in the index
[3:29:34]and yet the pages are missing. How can anyone justify that these interviews have not been released?
[3:29:44]So that is a massive cover up by this administration. It's a massive and unacceptable cover up. We also know from the Telegraph
[3:29:56]that there are six secret storage units rented across the country by Epstein that may have contained information that the Department of Justice hasn't
[3:30:04]apparently attempted to retrieve. By unanimous consent, the Senate said, "Yes,
[3:30:13]we passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act." Senator Schumer came forward and tried to strengthen that act with some real penalties and the Republican whip
[3:30:24]objected. Well, if Republicans were with us on seeking full disclosure, why object to putting more teeth into this bill? We
[3:30:35]all together, Democrats and Republicans, should be saying yes on transparency for the public, yes on accountability for the perpetrators,
[3:30:47]and yes for the closest thing we can get to justice for the victims. >> Senator Ggo has been relentless on this issue. Senator,
[3:30:58]>> thank you. Um, as we stated, princes, CEOs, the most powerful men in the world are being held accountable everywhere except the United States where we are supposed to be a country of equal
[3:31:09]justice uh under the law. Uh, we are actually proving quite uh the opposite. You know what we're proving here right now, what the Republicans are proving right now with the help of Donald Trump
[3:31:19]and Attorney General Pam Bundy is that if you are part of the Epstein class, if you are rich enough, you are powerful enough, you can do some really horrific
[3:31:27]things, raping children, raping women, engaging in sex trafficking, and this administration, the Republicans will
[3:31:36]engage in an active cover up for you. And even more so now we getting we're getting even more reports of some real serious allegations of this president
[3:31:46]from a minor, a woman who was a minor uh that is accusing the president of some very serious serious crimes. The American public deserves to know what happened, who was involved, not just
[3:31:57]President Trump, but everyone else involved. All these powerful men that are still walking around the United States right now. We're only talking about a couple years removed, a decade removed from a lot of these allegations.
[3:32:08]These men are still in power. These men are still potentially victimizing women, victimizing children. And the fact that this administration is actively covering
[3:32:19]up past crimes potentially means they're covering up current crimes. It's time for us to have full transparency. It's time for us to have accountability. It's time for us to throw some people in jail
[3:32:30]that did some really horrible stuff against kids in this country. And the fact that Donald Trump and the Republicans after talking a big game for se so many years about going after
[3:32:41]pedophiles are actively covering up for pedophiles right now should tell you exactly what is wrong with this administration. I unfortunately am going to have to go read those uh
[3:32:52]redacted files uh next week. It's one of those things that you don't want to do. Uh the disgusting nature what I'm going to find on there is going to you'll probably make me uh a very ill. But
[3:33:04]because we have an administration that's actively covering up pedophiles, uh we have to take this step and we have to take the step to keep them accountable and to expose all these pedophiles that
[3:33:15]are still in power right now all over this country. Thank you. And just one more point which this um this article from the New York Times shows more and
[3:33:27]more is keep more and more keeps coming out and the more we that comes out the more we see how large their coverup has been questions on this subject.
[3:33:37]>> But yes in the back >> Yeah. We're all going together. Yeah. I mentioned that in my remarks. Yes. >> Yeah. Yes. I I don't know if we're
[3:33:48]going. going and we have set up appointments to go. Yes, >> leader Schumer, you asked for unanimous consent on the floor a few weeks ago with Baraso objective. What is your core
[3:33:58]strategy moving forward to kind of get Senate action on this? >> Well, the bottom line is the Republicans all voted for it, every single one. And we're going to keep at it. We're going to use every strategy we can going to
[3:34:10]the Justice Department seeking lawsuits as well as whatever legislative strategies will work. >> Yes. Over in the house side, the Clintons are being deposed starting
[3:34:20]today and tomorrow investigation. Just your general reaction. >> Look, all the truth should come out. Period. >> Yes.
[3:34:30]>> From the Italian National Europe, >> as my colleagues well outlined, I agree.
[3:34:41]>> Okay. Second question. How do you react to people who say that Democrats and Republicans are enacting a new form of basically judging guilty by association whoever is in the email.
[3:34:51]>> Yeah. All we want is the truth. The truth. >> Yes. >> Was there any effort to reach out to the woman who made the claim against President Trump? >> Uhhuh. Uh there will be efforts to reach
[3:35:02]out to everyone who's willing to come forward and speak. And do you want to talk about that? Uh >> I think I mentioned my >> Yeah. >> Le on preserving evidence of witnesses.
[3:35:13]>> Yeah. So we can get it. Yes. When you see the underacted documents, what can the public expect from you to inform them? Can you do anything to inform them? >> Well, let's we we're not going to prejudge. Let's see what's in the
[3:35:25]documents. We want to protect people's identities, but we also want the truth to come out and we will walk that line uh with with with great vigor. >> Yes. >> Um there are an additional 3 million
[3:35:37]files that have not been released and many it seems that the files that have been released remain redacted or have redacted. So what steps are you taking to ensure that those redactions are under
[3:35:48]>> Yeah, we're going to demand justification for any redactions and if the redactions are coverups as opposed to protecting identities, we're going to get to the bottom of it. >> We're going to get to the bottom of it.
[3:35:59]Okay, thank you everybody. >> Everyone, you are watching live now from Fox. Wanted to bring that to you. And coming up in just moments, I will be on
[3:36:09]the uh main feed continuing to update you on other top stories and live feeds from all over the country. Though, a live look right now back in New York as the Hillary Clinton deposition
[3:36:20]continues. >> All right, Jordan, I went to the brink for you. Well, I'm taking over at 55,
[3:36:34]but you could do what you want. Yeah, I would say. No, no, no. It's all good. >> No, just cuz just cuz uh Yep,
[3:36:59]that was good. That was good. Yeah, I know. We were just eat it. >> Oh, wow. Thank you.
