[0:00]good afternoon we are continuing the recorded proper interview of miss maxwell the time is 12
[0:06]59 thursday july 24th um okay so just continuing we're talking about ms maxwell um still focused
[0:23]on the 90s time period with understanding that could spill over in the early 2000s but still
[0:28]that part of your of your life with mr epstein um there's been public reporting about
[0:38]conduct by mr epstein and others at little st james yes um so can you talk about um
[0:47]the frequency with which you went there um and address some of those some of the reporting
[0:58]namely around young masseuses or young women who would be present and um what you observed
[1:06]relating to them and then i'll ask questions around that
[1:09]so
[1:10]if
[1:11]i'm right he purchased the island in 1996 and he was friendly with the owners and originally
[1:18]we went to the island as guests of the owners and then i guess at some point the owners told
[1:25]them he they wanted to sell and he decided to purchase it so um the island was very rustic
[1:33]i loved it of course i have completely different ideas and um i would say there was none of what
[1:42]you
[1:42]were describing at that early period of time so the frequency was was often often on the island
[1:50]because um he loved it he really really loved it um and we would go all the time
[1:59]mostly all the early phase was based on
[2:05]improvements that could be made on the island always going with new architects new designers
[2:12]new construction people i'd say the first two years almost every trip
[2:20]not everyone but almost every trip contained some an individual who would be brought on board
[2:27]to have an opinion as to how to i don't want to use the word improve the island freeing
[2:34]the second asset you could use to improve the vision of how people couldn't potentially
[2:36]plan the island we couldn't but to um i can't think what the word would be to um i can't think
[2:38]can take what the word would be too um to develop it sorry that's the word develop és that's the
[2:47]y i can't think what the word would be too to um to develop it sorry that's the word i could uh
[2:49]better develop the island that's the even better understanding i can't really keep my eyes up until next year
[2:51]so there were trips, constant trips with that in mind
[2:55]and I would say now if we're moving to the late 90s
[2:59]96, 97
